The room was perfect and clean The beer tap at the bar tasted dirty and like cat urine
- 4/5
View was great but even on 10th floor all the street noise (loud police/ambulance sirens throughout day/night and I obnoxious motorcycle revving- you may need ear plugs
- 5/5
I wish I had more time to enjoy the pool or bar. We only need it for one night. it was a great stop before our c Our stay was brief as we only needed a place for one night before our cruise, but it was the perfect stopover. Everything was clean and comfortable, and I really wish we had more time to enjoy the pool and the bar!

No water in the room. The carpet looked stained.

I was there for two nights, and my room was not serviced after the first night. I had used the face cloths and one towel. I always bring my own face cloths because I only use them once. Luckily, I'm a very neat person and did not leave a mess, but I was disappointed that they never attempted to clean my room.

Great location, friendly staff, and amenities were awesome!
- 5/5
Rooms were nice and clean. Pool deck, Jacuzzi and fire are were also nice and relaxing to have. Market in lobby was stocked with most items. Breakfast was available but buffet was $35/person. I thought there was some sort of continental breakfast included in stay. Hotel guests also had to pay $45 to park and with a truck parking was difficult.

I was disappointed that the fee for a dog was $150 ( not refundable) there was no heads up of this!! Pretty disappointed. Won’t go back, too many fees . Plus 45 dollars for parking.

The pool and spa were clean. The staff was very professional and friendly
- 4/5
I got charge for parking which it was not mention anything about it 45$ for a night so I paid 90$ for 2 nights plus tax and the all day pass parking right in front of the hotel was 14$ all day
- 4.5/5
The area has really taken a turn for the worse, unfortunately. That is not the hotels faul6t for sure, more like the State of California's fault. All of the money spent to help the homeless was money not very well spent for sure. Very sad to see such a nice area get ruined by this.

The quality of staff is not consistent. Which means some staff are good and others are not so satisfying. Overall the room is quiet and convenient to the beach. I like it.
- 5/5
Great property. Close to everything
- 5/5
Room was awesome, staff, spectacular.
- 2/5
The beds are nice, but there are 30 dollars destination fee that I wasn’t aware of.
- 3/5
Rooms was large, but average. Comfortable beds, temperature control was ok. Nice window seat. Shower was not draining, but did get fixed. Takes a long time to get the hot or even warm water for the shower. So not ideal. Average hotel. Good location. Underground parking is a plus for the area.
- 5/5
Clean room, great location. Fruit infused water in the lobby is a nice touch.
- 5/5
The room was very clean and the hotel staff was friendly and inviting.
- 5/5
The hotel and room 10 star everything clean and good customer service at the reception , however the breakfast experience wasn’t good first of all breakfast is till 11 am and when you go down in the morning the waitress said it’s till 10:30 , you get there by 9:30 and there is nothing already very a few things , also they have a hard time looking for your name and if they don’t find it they make you feel like you are asking for something you didn’t pay, I had to show her the description , they go saying between them like breakfast included for them like because it’s included you deserve a low attention or low service , it’s not included for free you actually pay for it $58 the room without breakfast was 255 we pay 290 something with breakfast meaning is included cause we pay for it not cause it’s free .. also parking was $45 but that was ok not big deal but the breakfast experience was unfortunately sad .

This is our 4th or 5th time staying at the hotel, previously the Renaissance. Start off by saying all staff were friendly and made you feel welcome. We checked in on a Friday and were surprised when our room was not ready as it’s always been ready or available for early check in around 12-1pm and the room was not ready until 4:30pm, 30 minutes late but not a big deal. When we got to the room (Junior Suite) I set the thermostat to 65 degrees too cool it off and after dinner we came back to a room it was 72 degrees. We were pretty much unable to get a good nights sleep because of this, I advised the hotel on night 2 and they sent an engineer in to set the thermostat to 60 degrees this did not change a thing, room sat at 72 degrees and by the time we checked out on day 2 it was now 75 degrees. This was the worst sleep we have gotten at a hotel purely due to room temperature. The room pricing was not bad but the food and drink pricing was a simple margarita and espresso martini ran us $52, and a chicken sandwich was $26 very expensive for a simple sandwich, the Red Bulls in their personal market were $7 each, double the normal price.
- 5/5
Everything was great
- 5/5
Excellent area and professional friendly staff.
- 5/5
Clean, nice, easy check-in
- 5/5
Great location next to many walkable places to eat and drink.
- 2/5
Had NO cold water in the shower on the day we we’re leaving. So, so shower! They gave us a credit on breakfast no credit on a $300.00+ room! Wouldn’t stay at this hotel again!!
- 5/5
First time in Long Beach I was scared we would be in a sketchy area but it was so nice! Youre in the center of everything. Pretty much walking distance if you cared too. It clean.. other than a few things like seeing hair in the room or the cups in the room with residue in it... parking wasnt bad as what ive been seen in the reviews you get a discount staying at the hotel, give them the parking pass and you can get in and out with the card. More like $25-27.
- 3/5
In room dining room as served in a box. Imagine over easy eggs in a box. Balcony needs to be power washed. Room had no tub.
- 1/5
Manager has a terrible attitude
- 5/5
This is our third time staying here and not our last. We are walking distance from all our favorite places. It’s a must if you’re visiting long beach
- 4/5
The shower wasn't clean. Found pieces of hair. Part of the room were dusty.
- 5/5
Amazing service
- 5/5
We enjoyed our stay. The bed was comfortable and the room was clean. The only downfall was the traffic outside. There was someone on a mortorcycle driving around with loud pipes and loud music. We did not get to sleep until after midnight.
- 2/5
Worst part—was told late checkout to 12:30pm was complimentary, but got charged $30 anyway, plus extra fees on top of my $870 booking total. Not about the money—it’s the shady practice. I’ll stay across the street at the Fairmont next time. Worth every extra dollar compared to this experience.
- 5/5
Great location right in the middle of everything-highly recommend and will be coming back
- 5/5
Loved our balcony suite. Walking distance to several activities and dining.
- 5/5
We will definitely will stay here again. I do want to point out their stellar customer service. We were checked in by John L. He was over the top accommodating to our needs. Good job Marriott!
- 5/5
Great friendly staff, the Bartender made some awesome drinks
- 5/5

- 5/5

- 3/5
Theg have too many hidden charges
- 5/5
Excellent everything 😊
- 5/5
Outstanding hotel experience. Free parking is clutch.
- 3/5
I didn’t like the unexpected resort fees and expensive parking
- 5/5
Went to a friend's wedding and the hotel was 10 minutes away. Great area and there were taco trucks across the street. Great for getting a late run on some street tacos.
- 3/5
Staff wasn't what you would expect when you pay $400 for 1 night. Our toilet as soon as we got in the room was clogged and overflowed all over the bathroom floor on the first flush. The view from our room was of an old ugly building that looked abandoned. The Hyatt Regency is definitely a better hotel for similar rate. We stayed there last time
- 5/5
Chuck was very helpful at the front desk. His hospitality surpassed normal effort even remembering our names in this busy world.
- 5/5
Great location, amazing stuff, everything was updated!
- 5/5
The staff was extremely friendly and helpful. The room was ready upon arrival. The room was in excellent condition and very clean. The location is also perfectly centered in downtown Long Beach with the Pike, bars, and tins of restaurants within walking distance. I will be staying here again.
- 1/5
Be aware of about $50/day “extra” charges in the hotel that was never disclosed when you are booking the hotel
- 5/5
Beautifully redecorated hotel. Everything is light, fresh, and gorgeous. The service was excellent, the room clean and well appointed and location was perfect for a weekend in Long Beach. This hotel set a new standard for a 10/10
- 5/5

- 5/5
Everything was great
- 5/5
great location. lots of food near by. easy walk to the calivibes concert. secure parking and plenty of it.
- 5/5
Great location! Great hotel staff. We appreciated the daily $15.00 credit to make purchases at the hotel.
- 4/5
The staff was super friendly and helpful. The only thing we encountered was trash left by guests in the hallway by the elevator.
- 5/5
Nice property, nice & clean rooms.
- 5/5
My room was super large & comfortable, AC worked GREAT. Robert, the bartender & server downstairs at lobby bar took care of me all weekend and had the BEST customer service skills, really made sure I was happy for my beverages & food. Definitely coming back.
- 5/5
Enjoyed the staying.
- 5/5
The room was elegantly designed and comfortable with plush bedding, immaculate cleanliness, and breathtaking views that made it a personal sanctuary. The Marriott Long Beach Downtown redefines hospitality. Whether you’re traveling for business or leisure, it offers an unforgettable blend of elegance, comfort, and exceptional service. I can’t wait to return.
- 4/5
Road noise was very bad. Beds very comfortable, staff was great.
- 5/5
Always an amazing stay. Delicious food
- 5/5
The staff was very friendly. From check-in to check-out we never had an issue. They made recommendations for dining in the area, answered questions on where to go and not to go, etc.
- 5/5
The rooms are comfortable but a little worn down and the AC was not quite working well. my family stayed for 1 night, had some drinks at the bar and it was awesome. Their food and room delivery was great!
- 4/5
It was cool for the most part.
- 5/5
Staff was very hospitable. I appreciated the friendliness and helpful demeanor of the front desk staff upon arrival and check in. The bartenders were great and very attentive.
- 5/5
Excellent staff, got upgraded to a better room too
- 5/5
Great location......close to beaches, San Pedro and the city.
- 5/5
The staff was great and the hotel is beautiful!
- 4/5
Hotel lacks some basic amenities like clock, bathroom only has soap and shampoo, no other extra amenities like shower cap, earbuds. Hotel area does not feel that safe, especially traveling by metro and area around that.
- 1/5
Sold our tool to someone else so they moved us to another hotel. We had a king with Marriott and they sent us to a room with 2 full beds. Not happy about this at all. Just because we used a 3rd party vendor to book our room
- 2/5
Noisy air conditioning system, hard to sleep.
- 4/5
I didnt appreciate being charged a $30 day fee which forced me to eat on property.
- 4/5
The experience was awesome, great hotel with very friendly crew.
- 5/5
Staff was very friendly! :)
- 5/5
Was great! Thanks
- 4/5
Hotel was newly renovated. The breakfast time employee looking after The Club room did a good job. We will not return.
- 5/5
There needs to be a business center for the price you pay to stay here and amenities fee they charge nightly.
- 5/5
Met all of our needs
- 5/5
Great place, newly renovated.

Stay was awesome. And I believe George was his name, helped us and set us up with a great room. He even went above and beyond and helped us assure our parking was acceptable.
