Dockside Boat & Bed Long Beach

Overall experience was fantastic. The proximity to various restaurants made dinner easy to find. Everything is within walking distance. The boat itself is gorgeous. I appreciated its spaciousness, the cozy feeling it invokes, and the overall aesthetic. Definitely would book again if they'll have me!

Really awesome stay on the Bonus Vita, I would fully recommend this fun experience of sleeping on the private yacht. Easy access and parking nearby.

Good experience

The A/C worked well for unseasonably warm weather, though late afternoons could require some real cranking of the units to be comfortable after a day of relentless California sun. Warmer months may strain the A/C a bit. The bunk was comfortable and has a TV in there, if you are that kind of sleeper. Communication was excellent with management even when I needed to add an extra night and even when I lost my wallet. Very responsive, kind, and helpful. Be warned that the head and shower are in one stall, which is common on boats. This mostly was easily managed, but some may find it inconvenient. In short, I recommend the experience and would do it again when I return.

This was spectacular. Everything was perfect. This was a surprise gift for my husband. Kent was so welcoming and helped with my surprise. Check-in was smooth, the boat was clean, and it came with a continental breakfast.

Very courteous considering this was our first boat stay. Incredible accommodating from a learning standpoint even after the owner had a flat tire on the way just help us out with simple replenishment of amenities. Guaranteed since we attend the convention center yearly would prefer staying here again.

Loved it! Unusual place to stay but it sure beat a traditional hotel. We stayed only 1 night because we were there to board a cruise the next day. Staff was very pleasant and gave us all kinds of options for what to do while we were there. I'll be back!

Great stay for someone who has wants to stay on a boat. Honestly out boat was larger than most hotel rooms. Lots of stuff to do wothin walming distance. It would have been 5 stars if parking was easier. If you use a ride service then its a 5 star. I would 100% consider going back. Also staff was super helpful and easy to work with.

Clean, beautiful, cozy. The staff were efficient, welcoming, and kind. The view was AMAZING. Very peaceful and quiet, definitely a great spot to spend your time!!!!

Need more curtains for privacy. Back door had no blinds or curtains nor did the front have curtains for privacy. The boat behind us could see straight through which was uncomfortable. Also the blind shade that was above the bed had mildew on it. Had mildew along the top lift corner of the upholstery by the bed. Overall was a pleasurable stay. Would definitely rent again. The host was amazing and kind.

Everything about my stay was incredible. The property manager is extremely attentive and communicative. The area was peaceful. The location was ideal for shopping, restaurants, and local things to do. The yacht was immaculately cleaned, and I slept so well. The only downside was having to leave!

Dockside Bed and Boat was a great alternative to an average hotel stay. The staff was accommodating and helpful during our stay. Will definitely return for a future stay.

We really enjoyed this unique way to be accommodated. Well equipped although a blue tooth speaker that was listed as provided, had been stolen previously, so that wasn’t replaced. We appreciated the breakfast items and the luggage cart to transfer. The bathrooms could’ve been spot checked a bit better but all in all the boat was clean. Shower water pressure not great but we’re aware of boats that can happen. It was nice watching tour boats go out and seeing people enjoying the lighthouse.

Pictures on the web, of the boat, suggested an unobstructed view of the lighthouse and Queen Mary, but there were several boats in front of us. I also thought that the boat would be further out in the harbor so you would get the sensation that you were on a boat. That wasn't the case. No bottle of wine as indicated. However, a continental breakfast and coffee was provided in the room fee.

Customer service was amazing; very accomodating and professional. The rooms were clean and comfortable.

The yacht was beautiful and a perfect fit for our family. We have an RV and it was akin to staying in an RV on water. We loved it and would absolutely stay there again if out that way. The location was incredible and parking was easy by PF Changs in a secured lot.

Great spot to stay,it was so super relaxing.the Owners are great People ,very happy and informative of the area..sleeping on a boat is great ,I havent slept like that since a baby hahahah. The boat was very clean very comfortable. I made my reservation on Expedia and within just a couple hours they called me to confirm.. let me finish by saying I could go on and on how much I loved staying on dock five with the folks of dockside. It was just downright beautiful, relaxing great experience plenty of restaurants and there’s an outlet center. Fun things to do right in the area Shoreline Village aquarium you could walk to all those things and just stroll back to your boat and it’s your own little paradise.

Our first time staying on a yacht and it was an awesome experience. The Ca-Sea-Ta worked great for our group of 4. My only feedback was the Directv in the living space didn’t work, but that wasn’t a big deal at all. Be prepared for small bathrooms and bedroom areas though. The location was walking distance to so much we really didn’t need our rental car for much.

Amazing stayB

Everything was great. We were greeted, provided instructions on the boat, and felt very welcome. The boat and dock was private and quiet at night. We attended a conference at the Long Beach Convention Center, which was a quick walk away. Restaurants were abundant and easily visited on foot. We felt safe and comfortable.

Perfect view from the yacht, clean and comfy stay.

Me and my party really enjoyed the dockside. Bed and boat has lots of room. The beds are very comfortable. The staff was really accommodating letting us drop off our luggage. We’re there for the country coastal jam and check in time was at two but the concert started at 12 so we were able to drop off our luggage, get the keys, and still make it to the concert on time so that was really good thank you .

Was an amazing stay although there were a few issues the boat kinda had body odor stinch inside. All so the guest room air conditioner stayed cooler then the main room because the AC didnt work inside of main cabin.

It was a great first experience staying the night in a boat. It was clean, easy to walk to restaurants and rhe staff was friendly.

The owners are amazing and accommodating!! I am from Maine so won’t be back any time soon, however… I totally recommend it for a date night .. if you are living locally

Incredible experience.

A little upsetting having to pay an extra $56 make sure you get the correct one when booking since I had my two boys other than that everything was perfect.

The area was loud. One night there was very loud music that woke us up several times, but the mgr would not refund our money for the next two nights. The Serenity is close to the convention center, but it's not a great place to stay for work. There is nowhere to hang clothes and it's a very cramped space (I realize that boats are not spacious).The 2nd bedroom was like a closet with a bed tucked into a narrow space. The toilet is literally in the shower. You have to dry off the toilet after each shower and step into a wet area to use the toilet. It was clean, the beds were comfortable, some of the sitting areas were nice (one had mold stains), the harbor is nice, and the mgr brought food for two people when we requested it (up front would have been better). It's a good price for the area if you are physically capable of lots of stairs and steps, don't mind showering with a toilet, and don't get motion sickness.

This is an excellent way to stay in the area! We used this as a layover from our trip to Catalina and honestly enjoyed this more than our condo in Avalon. Ferry terminal and the aquarium are both an easy walk. The only fault (and this is pretty minor) was breakfast. While provided, it was a bit underwhelming, and the nearest breakfast place was a bit of a walk.

Second time we do this. Very nice experience with my family!

Spent a night for my birthday after a nice dinner & had a blast!! We checked in with Kent & he was very welcoming & helpful. He made our stay comfortable & relaxing. We stayed on Serenity & the boat had all the amenities along with a beautiful view of the water & Shoreline Village. Just steps away from the fun things to do! I will definately stay again & recommend to all my friends/family!

We stayed on the CaSEAta and it was perfect! You step down into a relaxing living and dining area with a large screen smart tv. The kitchen is nice and fully stocked. If you continue straight you will find a bathroom and a bedroom. Opposite of the guest bedroom and bathroom you will find a small set of stairs that lead to master bedroom with another bathroom. Both rooms have TVs and all have DirectTV. Outside there is a relaxing deck area with seating for 4. Up a gew more steps you can relax on the flybridge. Parking was easy and you have a few options. Closest parking is the lot in front of PF Changs/Outback/Chilis/Hooters. There is self parking and valet parking in that lot. Parking is $26/night in that lot with no in/out privileges. There are two parking garages very close by (one across the street at the Pike Outlets and the other next to the Aquarium of the Pacific) both approximately $16/night with no in/out privileges. The last option is on the other side of the harbor (short walk) and is discounted from Dockside. We self parked in the PF Changs lot.

It was a great stay! Great place and overall a great experience. It was decently clean (found a empty beer can stashed in a cupboard… oops haha but that was all). The breakfast was a nice touch, nothing fancy, but nice!

Very strong Mold smell in the boat!

Staff were friendly and helpful. The property was nice and very close to the Long Beach Convention center. Basically, it only took 4-5 minutes to walk there from the dock. Additionally, there are several restaurants and a few shops in the immediate vicinity. The primary concerns were the number of homeless people surrounding the area and the somewhat limited parking for overnight accommodations. Overall, it was a memorable experience.

Would definitely stay here again. Clean, well maintained. Would recommend to anyone else thinking about this area.

Love love love this place! Management was accommodating and nice also informative on arrival . The location is next to literally everything. We didn't have to uber anywhere . We walked to eat and to the mall to shop. Stayed here a night before our cruise and the terminal is not far at all. Highly recommend and would stay again!

While previously in Long Beach for a concert I walked past Dockside Boat and Bed, thinking it would be a cool experience for my family. It did not disappoint! From check in to check out our need were met amazingly and the Ca Sea Ta was perfect for my family of 4. It was super clean, bery comfortable, and such an awesome weekend getaway! 100% will book again!

Loved the vibe on a boat in the Marina, neighboring boats were close but to be expected on a dock! Great communication, easy process from start to finish. Highly recommend!

Pretty good experience, clean and close to a lot shop.

The dock was much quieter than I expected it would be and I enjoyed the small bits of rocking every so often. However, a colleague that visited me had enough after just 20 minutes of it. I would definitely consider this again but

Everything was great

It was a scenic “room” in the midst of the main night scene in dockside Long Beach! The views from the boat are wonderful, and less than 10 minute walk to dozens of places, and bike rental. The downside? You’re on a boat! You are climbing up and down ladders and steep stairs to get from here to there, the toilet/shower area is roughly coffin-sized, you need to flush conservatively, etc. But the location made it worthwhile to us.

I really liked staying on the boat and it was a great experience. Very friendly and helpful guest services. Thanks again for the stay.

Peaceful and relaxing

Was looking for a unique lodging experience with my 10 year old son, and this was a winner! Very peaceful and comfortable with a stunning view. Communication with Kent was great. Wished we could have stayed longer.

It was clean, quiet, restful. The staff were very friendly and accommodating, it was exactly what we needed to rest up. The location is perfect and I would stay here again for sure.

We had a wonderful experience staying on a mini yacht. The accommodations were comfortable and much larger than expected. The sunset views were absolutely breath taking. There are numerous restaurants, places to shop, and entertainment choices including the Aquarium within walking distance. We will definitely stay again!

The staff was very friendly and helpful. The area and experience was great. Overall the stay was fantastic.

Dock 5 is located just behind Gladstones so if - as I did - there's a hospitality event there it is a 100' walk to bed from the venue. Brilliant! If you are familiar with RV or travel trailers this will be similar, just on the water. Only real difference from a traditional hotel are the toilets and showers which are RV-like but work just fine once you understand their operation. As they describe, self-parking nearby is the way to go. Be sure to pull a self-parking ticket (not valet) which you can pay for at a machine between Outback and Chili's. Several boats here, we were on the one shown on the website which had a queen master with its own bath, another berth forward with a bath, interior seating kitchen and dining areas, and two outdoor decks. Several of the other boats looked even larger.

The host was so personable and explained everything in full detail, made sure we had snacks and fruit, and made our stay very pleasant!

The stay was great & could have been excellent had their not been a big eyesore of ship blocking the Marina which was essentially the entire view. Maybe we should have been notified & comped the parking, a free drink coupon, discount off the next stay… but the mere response of it is what it is was a bit of a turn off. Other than that the boat itself.

Awsome place to stay for a couple nights of relaxation

Received one basket of food day one. No more breakfast after. No maid even after request. The boat itself was nice to stay on.

I look forward to returning for a sunny weekend! P.S. The view of the Queen Mary is stunning too.

What a great way to enjoy the escape near the ocean. Beautiful boat, beautiful experience, worth it! Definitely priceless moment with my husband and daughter! Close to shops and dining. You have everything so close. Definitely doing this yearly!

This was a nice change from the normal hotel stay. We enjoyed the Dock Side. Nice continental breakfast was included and much appreciated. The beds slept very comfortably and we enjoyed our stay!

Love this place. I was cautious at first as I have never rented here for my husband's birthday. It was serene very romantic and no one bothered us. I would highly recommend this if your looking for a quick romantic getaway. My husband was surprised completely and loved it. The ned was really comfortable as well. The only downfall is the shower is in where the toilet is so tight spot. We only stayed overnight so did not shower but, the water is warm and over i give it a 10.

Staying here every time I come to Long Beach from now on.

Kent was a friendly and attentive host. At the same time, he allowed us the privacy we wanted. The location is the best possible spot in Long Beach. The boat was very comfortable and a big hit with a couple of clients we invited aboard. I can't say enough about how much we enjoyed the stay and our overall experience. We'll definitely be back!

DON'T PASS THIS UP!!!! Our stay at Dockside was the best thing we've ever done for an overnight trip. What an AMAZING experience. Kent, the owner, was so helpful and accommodating. The boat was clean, beautiful, stocked...everything you can possibly want from a hotel. Perfect view of the Queen Mary. We can't wait to go back.

I enjoyed staying on this yacht. Plenty of dining is available. It is very relaxing and a very different experience than being in a hotel room.

Everything about our overnight stay was amazing! I normally get high anxiety staying in new places but everything from the greeting to the mini-tour was so comforting and welcoming that I felt right at home. We are definitely considering doing another stay!!
