Best Western Shackleford 

Extremely noisy hotel. I understand the hotel has little control over that. I went down to the front desk early the next morning, and asked for a room change. The front desk called the hotel manager. and they could change my room but would only do it for an additional $40. They did have complete control over their customer service, and they failed miserably. Will never stay at that hotel when I am back in town to see family. Stay away from this place because of the noise and their lack of taking any responsibility.

I had a room next to a night owl that had the TV on all night. Could not sleep.

AC wasn't working properly, so we had to pack and move ourselves to another room. Breakfast was poor.

We have stayed here a few different times and it never disappoints us. The staff was wonderful and I highly recommend this place if you’re staying in West Little Rock.

The staff was very friendly. The location was perfect for us. There was plenty of parking and I felt the neighborhood was very safe and I didn’t worry about my vehicle. I would definitely stay here again when I come back to Little Rock.

The room was nice, bed was comfortable. . Staff at check-in and check out super nice. We were traveling for our grandson's ball tournament. Had a nice breakfast. Hotel was nice but there was a hole in the ceiling of our room. Looks like there has been a water leak. Needs to be repaired .My husband parked at the end of the parking spaces because all the front parking spaces were taken up. When we were ready to leave the next morning and putting our belongings in the back seat we noticed dents and scratches in our truck over the passenger side back door. We feel like someone tried to break in our truck but was unsuccessful. Thank God for that!

I want to thank Athena for her warm welcome to the property. She was very helpful. She recommended pizza from Marcos pizza. When the pizza arrived the delivery driver didn't want to come to the room. Athena tried calling me but had no luck. She delivered it for me :) my son had fun swimming and we had breakfast before we left. Only one night, but would definitely stay again. Thank you

The room was like a small one bedroom apartment and I loved it What I didn't like was me and my spouse was there for 3 days they only counted us for 2 days the last day we had some complications that we had left but the cleaning people saying that we wasn't in the room but we were and it was talking on the door thought that we would have checked out but we never did that's what I didn't like

The property needs at least a small lighted sign right next to the drive you turn on the road to approach the hotel. Our room #was 100… at approximately around midnight we were awakened by screeching cars and extremely LOUD music right in parking lot or alley behind our room …loud yelling and laughter. They screeched of in their cars about 20 minutes later. I’m all for having a good time, but not on at midnight on a Monday night right outside our window in our room, after traveling for 10 hrs on the road.

The facilities are fresh and new. It was very comfortable. Staff was exceptionally friendly, responsive and helpful. Breakfast and other aminnities contributed to make it an good value. It was also very convenient but just out of the way enough to be quiet.

Yes, parking was well lit and close to the main entrance. The breakfast was well stocked and always hot and fresh. Delicious!

We needed a place to stay for a dental appointment. Being a 2 hr away, meant we would have to leave at 6 am. 1st time staying there, but it's was a good choice. Good restaurant in walking distance. Myself appointment was only 8 minutes away. So it worked out good.

Everything that you would want in a hotel except a little noise from the neighboring buissness. But It was a Saturday night and when i went to bed at ten all was quiet. Yes, i would stay there again.

It was nice. Vagrants walking through parking lot asking for cigarettes probably can’t be helped given the area. Lots of workers stay here. They were having a party outside with alcohol at the outdoor table. Facilities clean. Room bathroom’s shower curtain was falling apart. But overall not too bad. Wouldn’t stay again because of the workers and vagrants though.

The absolute worst bed I have ever slept on in my life, room 220, it felt like we were sleeping on garbage bags covered in a sheet. The pillows where couch pillows. Honestly for the price it was awful.

I did not appreciate the conjoining room door had about 2 inches space at the bottom of the door where I could literally see the next door Neighbor’s luggage. I also did not appreciate that the bathroom door would not shut all the way. I could hear the guy next-door coughing up a lung and it made me concerned that I was going to catch his sickness because there was such a gap under underneath that door.

Everyone was very pleasant and the room was clean. There was a part of the ceiling that was coming apart in the bathroom. I notified the lady at the front desk when we checked out. Also, when we arrived the hallway smelled like Marijuana.

He had difficulty printing out receipt and tried to tell me I did not pay at check in but with third party when I had. He was also unable to tell me what 3rd room charge was for when only had 2 rooms. Said I could wait for next shift to come in and they could help me since he was new.

Did mention it to them, but they said police are no help. Better insulated windows would stop that problem.

Everything seemed good and what you would look for in a descent hotel. Except during the night there was a lot of noise that woke me and kept me awake for awhile. I did not eat that morning so i cannot comment on the breakfast.

The rooms were disgusting we could not bare staying the shower was disgusting, the linen was stained. the room was not cleaned properly at all. Even dirty furniture.

Front desk put us in a different room no problem, room was clean basic amenities. Bed was not so comfy and the pillows were super small and uncomfortable & when I say small I mean like as small or smaller than basic couch pillows. Breakfast was decent and had several options.

My brother was in the hospital at UAMS. My parents and I were staying at this hotel because it was reasonably priced and not too far from UAMS. He was discharged earlier than expected and lives about 80 miles from this location, so we needed to check out early. When Expedia reached out to the management, they refused to refund us for the remaining 3 days. I am aware of policies, but there are times when policies can be flexible and grace given. The three of us traveled from the west coast to care for my brother who needed 24 hour car when he got home. Traveling 80 miles each way to help him would have been ridiculous. We checked out giving the business the opportunity to resell the room for the remaining 3 nights. I believe we should have been given a refund.

The motel was very clean and quiet. The front deak guy was very polite and friendly. He also helped us in finding a place close to eat. The only thing I did not like was we had a hard time finding the place. There were no signs pointing us there and our GPS had us running all over the place. I would recommened this motel, and I will stay there again if in that area.

The staff was super friendly and accommodating. We pulled up on a motorcycle and the owner helped us find a covered space to park out of the rain and even let us borrow a wrench for a quick repair. Everyone was very kind and the breakfast was delightful. Would definitely book again.

Room is close to the elevator so just a bit noisy, and I could hear when the room next door had their bathroom fan on and when they were taking a shower--but this is fairly minor. Breakfast: I'm currently on a restricted vegan diet and was hoping for some plain oatmeal, dried fruit, maybe a few other breakfast options. But no luck, so I had potatoes, some walnuts, and some fresh fruit. But I'm the one-off as far as that goes--for folks without those restrictions they had a lot of hot options, and if I weren't on restrictions I would have been more than satisfied with the options available. Room was a bit humid, but temperature was good.

The juzzy broke and hit me flooded floor.. the before 11 pm shift came in this man was nice and fixed tub fassett. But after 11 pm shift came on and this morning shift was rude and disrespful. Microwave didn't work. Tub dripped all night. Bathroom fan was real noisy. Ref didnt work and did Not keep food cold. Lost food. Then after 11 pm man didn't do anything when reported. This morning lady would not give me receipt. I have a head ache from tub fasutt hitting me. I had a bad experience. I want to talk to someone. You rated this place a high rate and it is not. They even took another 100.00 out of my account. If this is kind of service. I will not us this service again. I will go somewhere else.

Our room was near the end of the hall, when we checked in there was no odor but later that night and throughout our stay there was a foul odor in the hallway. The room above us the occupants stomped continuously. Housekeeping came in our room when we were away dispite us having the "Privacy please" placard on our door.

The hotel was nice but for the surrounding area. Where I know the hotel cannot be held responsible for that it was so annoying when there seemed to be a party going on outside my room until 1am. That being said, the bed was comfy and the staff friendly. We had 2 rooms, in 1 the toilet kept filling and flushing and in the other, it hardly filled to flush. Both incidents were reported to reception.

My family/friends that stayed in one room had to be switched to a different room bc of ants was everywhere on top of that it was a Jacuzzi room and couldn't use the Jacuzzi bc the drain wouldn't plug, the room me and my old man stayed in was also a Jacuzzi room and I had to clean it before we could get in it dirty. Over all I will not be staying there again. Nasty place wasn't worth the amount of money we paid

I asked for a quiet room but I was sent to the louder room. Room #206 The manager refused to change a new room, they were not fully booked on Sunday or Monday. They did not care much about customers. I check out early the next day! There was only 1 chair in a standard room. Beware of $100 deposit each stay. The pool was freezing.

Our stay at Best Western was a delightful experience. The rooms were clean & the front desk staff were friendly & accommodating. We enjoyed the King room w/ the jacuzzi tub! Would definitely recommend this hotel for a memorable stay in the city!

The hotel has a no visitors policy.. which is weird to me. Not a no party policy, but no visitors at all 👀. They are kind of rude at the desk. It’s walking distance to twin peaks tho.. if you’re into that. It was pretty clean.. nothing spectacular. Idk, wouldn’t stay again if I could help it.

Breakfast wasn't that good. Hash browns seemed old and not healthy. Had an adjoining room that was separated by two doors. Didn't like or request that. Shower was open and no water pressure. Inside pool wasn't heated and was pretty cold. A/C unit was loud and powered on and off too much. Would shut off and then within a minute would come back on. That was when it was loud. Couldn't sleep that well because of it. Bathroom door was rubbing on door Jam and was hard to shut. Vent had lint and dust in it. Hotel requested a 100 dollar deposit at check in. That bothered me at first but I didn't see any transaction in my bank account for it.

Check-in was quick, friendly, efficient. Bed was comfortable, black out shades, room was clean. We had to hunt for an outlet & relocate the coffee maker & the shower didn't have much pressure. Overall, we had a nice stay. Breakfast had a good variety but I did have to put my food in the microwave & heat it up a little as the eggs, sausage & potatoes were barely warm. This was our second stay at this location in the last month. We will stay here again when we come back to Little Rock..

The only problem I had with the room was with the bed. If was comfortable, but the mattress is lying on a platform that is slick. If you leaned on the side of the bed it would slide on the platform. I'm short and elderly, so I had a hard time getting into the bed. The mattress kept sliding on the platform. Not a fun experience. This could also cause a person to be injured with the side of the platform then sticking out.

The staff was friendly and professional, the cleaning staff was curiosity and asked if we needed anything even after only being there for one day. I liked the location because it was by everything we wanted to go to. The restaurant/sports bar next door was our main go-to because we wanted to watch football and UFC fights at the same time. Check in was courteous and efficient. There was a dirty wash rag in the bathroom and there was hair on the bathroom floor. The bathroom door would not close. The hotel has been recently remodeled so everything is new and fresh. The bathroom experience left me, wondering how clean everything was versus how everything was.

Family was in town for a funeral. The room was good for the reason we were there. We went to the pool to try and get our mind off the loss of our family member, but while the pool was open, there was no heat to the water.

I enjoyed my stay except that I had to ask for wash cloths and towels for the bathroom because there were none when I got in my room.

Booked this hotel for Thursday. They switched it to Wednesday and would not change it or refund. The man on the phone laughed at me and said it happened often and they couldn’t and wouldn’t correct it. I’m out $173 for their mistake.

The room was clean (smelled a bit of cleaners, but it wasn’t bad). Bed soft, two kinds of pillows (feather, foam), big TV, fridge and microwave worked, bedside lighting that enabled electronics charging, and enough horizontal space to set most of your stuff on. Oh! And dimmable bed side lights - that was quite nice. Although there were a few loud cars (revving and radios), for the most part it was quiet. The staffer on when we checked in (7/6) was amazing. The breakfast was the same both days (so not sure if it changes or not) eggs, biscuits and gravy, sausage patties, waffles, hash brown triangles, cereal, fruit, yoghurt/toppings, muffins, danish, bagels, bread. There was prolly a few things I’m forgetting too. Upshot: solid, day-starting fare with something for everyone. Here’s the issues. The shower curtain: Curtain ring (built into curtain) cut so it can slide onto the rod - but EVERY time you move the curtain, rings fall off. That’s ok in the middle, but happening on the end means a mess on the floor. Blackout “curtain”: Operated by chain, and the chain wasn’t configured right. Has too many “stop” sections (meant to keep you front damaging the system) so it was frozen between 2” and 3” up. So it was ABSOLUTELY INEFFECTIVE as blackout, and useless to let more light in later in th
