Reviews
The hotel reviews are mixed, with guests praising the cleanliness, comfortable beds, and friendly staff. However, there are consistent complaints about the lack of a fridge and microwave in the rooms, as well as outdated decor and furniture. Some guests also experienced issues with the hot tub and pool, as well as unexpected fees and poor customer service at the restaurant.
- Cleanliness
- Comfortable beds
- Lack of fridge and microwave in rooms
- Outdated decor and furniture
- 4/5
staff was very friendly and went out of their way. rooms were dated and not extremely clean. the whole hotel was dated and a bit run down. however they are under construction so hopefully that is being addressed.
- 5/5
Check in was a breeze and the hotel was well maintained for it's age. The property was recently remodeled. Would definitely stay again if in the area
- 5/5
Thank you!
- 5/5
Natalie was the best! Excellent hospitality with warm cookies. The pool and hot tub were clean and well maintained. Family friendly with a good breakfast.
- 5/5
The staff were wonderful and very responsive. Kudos to Natalie for going above and beyond with hospitality. This hotel has a good location, close enough to Naperville and the train station, but out of reach of the city noise. Pool and hot tub were well maintained. The weight room could use an upgrade. The breakfast was very good with fresh fruit and vegetarian options. Seemed family friendly, which I appreciate.
- 5/5
Very clean
- 3/5
The lobby staff were very friendly and helpful. My room was clean, comfortable, and acceptable. The fitness room equipment was awful. A property like this should not have such poor equipment. In the conference area the sign was off of the men's room door all day and was not repaired - causing confusion for many people early in the day. The water ran out for our conference twice on the first day. Not sure yet about day 2. If there was a little more attention to detail this would be an excellent place for professional conferences.
- 3/5
Reception was kind and coffee available in lobby. Reception staff was lovely.
- 4/5
The property is ungoing renovation. We were given a renovated room so the decors and furnitures are new. The room is spacious and has a fridge and coffee maker. We appreciate the coffee in the lobby and warm cookies at check-in. However, areas around the main entrance give a poor first impression - algeas on the exterior walls, flower pots full of weeds, and dirty luggage carts. These things could've been easily addressed. Breakfast buffet was decent.
- 2/5
Under construction. A lot of dust. Our room was recently renovated, drywall still all over floor, bathroom door wouldn’t close, ac loud and inconsistent, tv stations were not working, along with poor WiFi. Staff at desk very friendly from check in, check out and in between. Resturant food was good for dinner, quick service and friendly staff. I think once they finish will be very nice place to stay
- 2/5
Hotel currently going under massive renovations and no notice of such was provided prior to booking. Very misleading.
- 2/5
This was one of the worst hotel experiences I've ever had. We were shocked to be hit with a $100 deposit at check-in that was never clearly disclosed during booking.Things only got worse from there. We paid for a room on a key-card access floor, but the moment the elevator doors opened, we were hit with a horrible musty, damp smell. The hallway was being used to store mattresses, which was completely unacceptable and gave the entire floor a neglected appearance. Our room smelled like a swamp. The walls were peeling, and the room clearly had not been properly maintained. Even worse, we found socks in our bed that did not belong to us and trash under the chairs. This immediately made us question whether the room had been cleaned at all before our arrival. When we tried to contact the front desk, nobody answered. I even attempted to get Expedia involved, but they were unable to get a response from the hotel either. The lack of customer service was incredibly frustrating. To make matters worse, guests and what appeared to be staff members were smoking marijuana right outside the main entrance. Every time we entered or left the hotel, we had to walk through the smell and smoke. The only reason we stayed was because every other hotel in the area was fully booked and we had nowhere else to go. Had another option been available, we would have left immediately.
- 5/5
Enjoyable stay.
- 1/5
So outdated and parking situation is terrible. If you like a hotel where you can run the fan to tune out hallway noise just know you can’t here. The pillows are super flat. I saw someone’s airline ticket in my room making me wonder how clean it really was.
- 1/5
Very old, in bad shape. I was a bit scared when i entered the room
- 4/5
Breakfast buffet hi quality Dusty/construction feel No refrigerators in rooms
- 2/5
Hotel first floor under construction. Smelled like sewage. Initial room had ants crawling on the floor and stains on the tiles.
- 5/5
It was ok
- 4/5
The property is being renovated and needs it. Staff were very friendly and it’s a convenient location
- 4/5
Nice room. Comfortable, clean, spacious. Nice, newer 55" Samsung TV. Didn't need a TV that size, unless you wanted to watch reruns of Wings or X Files on several different channels at the same time. Basic cable. Not far from parks, restaurants, or stores.
- 4/5
Was ok
- 5/5
I have no complaints everything was in great condition very clean
- 1/5
This hotel is very dated, dirty, and in disrepair. I asked to switch rooms because the room smelled like mold. But after moving to a different one I realized this is just how the hotel smells. I would have left then but had no place to go and was too tired to make the drive home.
- 5/5
I’ll stick to the yogurt and coffee.
- 2/5
tAlsip Illinois. And they overcharge me.
- 5/5
The warm cookies on arrival are always a treat. The staff was excellent, especially Natalie at the front desk.
- 5/5
The service there is always excellent. We always stay there.
- 4/5
The breakfast was lovely and the service friendly and kind....it was Mothers day and they wished all Moms a happy day. Food was very fresh.
- 4/5
AC didn't work, only about half the programming was available on the TV.
- 3/5
We order the king size room but it change to two queen size without any notice
- 5/5
The staff were very helpful and friendly, my room was excellent and overall a wonderful stay. There was construction ongoing one floor below but it generally didn’t impact my stay.
- 2/5
Honestly, this hotel was gross. They are undergoing renovations, but the old rooms clearly haven’t been deep cleaned in a LONG time. There were splatter stains all over the wallpaper, THICK (like months long buildup) layers of dust on the woodwork, mold spots in the ceiling of the bathroom. I pulled the nightstand out to make sure the charger port was plugged in and it was FILTHY. I know most of the time they just do a quick clean in between guests, but for the love of god do a deep clean on your unrenovated rooms in the meantime.
- 3/5
The bathroom had a torn shower curtain and something sprayed across the ceiling. The plumbing was terrible.
- 3/5
Property in mid renovation, very outdated, halls were loud each night, tough to get hot water.
- 3/5
Room was clean. They were remodeling the hotel but rooms are currently older rooms.
- 5/5
Would have preferred the pool a little warmer and the beds weren't that comfortable.
- 5/5
Great front line people fora great property
- 5/5
Quiet, clean room.
- 4/5
Bar venue. Breakfast No fridge in room
- 2/5
Rooms were not updated no fridges phones didn’t work remote controls were missing generally not maintained well
- 5/5
Breakfast was very good
- 1/5
It was under construction and had a roach in the room.
- 3/5
Not awful but it IS under renovation so there is noise and dirt from.construction traffic in and out during the day. Quiet enough at night
- 5/5
The hotel seems a bit run down but the room was clean with a comfortable bed a nice bathroom. The staff was friendly and helpful and the breakfast was good.
- 2/5
Pool was cloudy
- 3.5/5
Staff is friendly Rooms very outdated, has a faint smell of smoke. Outdated furniture, carpet need to be replaced.
- 3/5
Too many kids in the pool with no adults . Drunk adult lady in pool area.
- 3/5
The hotel was undergoing renovations when I stayed, so some amenities weren't available and there was some noise and dust -- but the staff were lovely.
- 3/5
The room was a great size with a work desk. The view was great. The only downside was the smell in room, like musty old rag smell. I wish the windows could be opened to let the smell out. That was the biggest downside. Everything else was great! The staff were very nice and helpful.
- 5/5
Spa was extremely noisy. Rooms clean and service was great. The bar tender Susanne was amazing, helpful and friendly.
- 5/5
Everything

My husband and I were looking for a nice staycation. Their online reviews said this was the perfect hotel for couples when we arrived we found the hotel was UNDER RENOVATION. The HOTEL looked very dated and old. The windows were very dirty/ dingy. There looked to be what was liquid garbage from the garbage truck in the driveway walking up to the hotel. I was afraid to park my car in the parking lot. It had potholes and gravel all over. The staff was friendly enough and apologetic for the conditions. The floors had not been vacuumed. There was random trash throughout the vestibule areas. I questioned the cleanliness of the pool and jacuzzi and the surrounding tile floors. We put our luggage back in the car and drove home, tired and disappointed.
- 5/5
We love staying here. Friendly staff at front desk and the hotel bar. Clean and comfortable room and great pool area.
- 2/5
Staff was very friendly and accommodating. Hotel is under renovation but the room I was placed in seemed like something out of the 80’s very old and outdated room. Extremely poor condition. I booked a double room and the temperature control didn’t work in either rooms. No outlets near the other side of the bed. In no way shape or form is this a 4 star hotel
- 1/5
The room is very outdated with poor quality bed. We’re woken up from staff shouting and yelling across hallway and on their walkie talkies. I told them to be quiet, but they continue to bang our wall from another room. We extended our check out time for the reason to get some rest and even put a do not disturb sign on the door. The shower doesn’t have much water coming out as well. The whole experience is horrible except for the great front desk agent’s service.
- 5/5
Had a nice stay but the breakfast buffet is not good at all. I would skip it and eat elsewhere bc you wont be satisfied, at all.
- 2/5
Housekeeping lady on her call out in the hallway super loud on speaker phone at 7:00 am .very disturbing woke up several rooms we all came out to tell her to please keep it down. Then at 10:00 hotel fire alarm went off for about 15 non stop .. all very disturbing for a hotel stay to try rest .
- 4/5
Place is old and there was on going construction
- 2/5
Way to much construction..can’t sleep in the morning..they need to tell guests this when booking and at check in
- 5/5
Good
- 0.5/5
Nothing
- 2/5
The hotel is under construction, the workers like to slam stuff around and yell in the hallways. For some reason, the doors to the room all slam full force of you let them go. It was loud enough to make my girlfriend jump every single time. Employees are great, the hotel is subpar. Might want to stay somewhere else
- 1.5/5
Some room lights weren't working elevators was down and smelled really bad
- 2/5
Before booking…please be advised there is tons of construction going on throughout the hotel. Cannot sleep past 8am.
- 5/5
Great experience.
- 2/5
I will not return.
- 1/5
I complained about a very loud air conditioner. Woke me up many times. I was offered a cookie. Place very dated and needs a lot of work to get back to a double tree standards. They are also doing construction so maybe someday it will be good enough to sleep there
- 5/5
The charm it still had of older hotels, brass and dark oak. But they are remodeling. The breakfast had waiter service but was a buffet. Excellent service and food! Everyone was so friendly and professional!
- 2/5
Sink clogged, coffee not out when said, hallways dirty.
- 2/5
Hot tub was cold and jets weak constitution woke everyone up earlier than most people wanted do not stay during renovation
- 5/5
Pool was nice
- 5/5
Very loud Unable to sleep
- 1/5
I had a reservation for 4 people, 1 king bed and a pull out sofa. We didn’t even have extra pillows or blankets in the room. We had to go down and request them. Then the blankets that were brought up looked and felt terrible. The TV had no service so we couldn’t watch anything. The pool wasn’t full.
- 5/5
Even though there was construction, it was thoroughly marked in clean. Breakfast didn’t start till 630 but I had to leave by six.
- 5/5
Great experience! In times past it's been a little cold when the weather is obnoxious. Great deal on the room!
- 5/5
Great
- 4/5
Nice place to stay. The rooms are a bit rundown.
- 5/5
Everything stoop upto it reputation. Them cookies was amazing
- 5/5
We were staying the night before a flight, and found a good rate. The property is under going renovations. These didn't interfere with our stay. Everything was as expected from Hilton. Property has a restaurant, helpful as we didn't see many options nearby. We would stay again, especially once renovations are complete.
- 4/5
I was just there overnight but everything went very well with no issues. I would stay there again
- 4/5
Heating problems in the given rooms; Took three rooms to get the proper heating in a room for me; Hotel was very nice to change my rooms. Their was just problems with the heating units. Would still stay at this hotel again will do so on my trip in August 2026. Management was very concerned about the heating issues.
- 5/5
Staff was amazing and always ready to answer questions and help if needed. Pool area was well kept, as was the room.
- 3/5
We have stayed at this hotel many times because of its location to family, shopping, and restaurants. When we checked in almost everything was okay—relaxed and watched a little tv. There was a stain on the comforter which we told the front desk about and asked to have it changed. When we returned after dinner, the bed had been changed, but the tv was unplugged and the thermostat had been turned up to 75. Was this some petty revenge for our complaint?!?!? We will come back to the Lisle/Naperville area, but we will NOT stay at this hotel again!!
- 5/5
It was clean and friendly and neat . Plus Lisette that works at the front she is very polite and she’s done a great job and made my stay so welcoming on my stay at doubletree . She’s a good staff and you guys up in headquarters / upper management yall need move up the ladder in the company . She is doing very good job and deserves unlimited opportunities in the company because she is awesome !!!!!
- 5/5
Friendly staff, in the bar area too.
- 5/5
Great room and bed. Friendly staff.
- 5/5
The staff were amazing. I greatly appreciated them checking in throughout my stay to make sure everything was going okay.
- 5/5
Great place to stay!
- 4/5
Room was clean & bed was very comfortable.
- 5/5
it is always a nice quiet stay here
- 2/5
The room had no refrigerator or microwave. The water pressure for the shower head was awful. The hallways had a “smell” to them. They’re currently remodeling - we were on an old floor. Hope the remodel is better because we won’t stay here again.
- 3/5
Staff didn’t have food recommendations. One shared microwave for the hotel and it was dirty. Smell of marijuana in the wing we were roomed in. Had to ask for my Silver members cookies and water. Bag of garbage right outside our room as we came up to our room. Sorta clean.
- 5/5
The rooms were is great condition and the staff was really nice and helpful
- 3/5
Hotel is being renovated. Hallways are incredulous loud and echoey so it makes for noisy rooms. Hard to sleep because of it and also lamp next to bed was not working and phone was dead, and confirmed by the front desk.
- 3/5
The staff was very nice. The room was ok. The water pressure in the shower wasn't very great and the room didnt have a refrigerator.
- 5/5
Room was clean and great.
- 5/5
Excellent staff member greeted me at the desk,.Comfortable, clean, great location, quiet. Great stay.
- 3.5/5
The room was not very clean. There was stains on the shower curtain and it smelled very musty in the bathroom. There was no rug for the shower. No plastic cups in the bathroom. There was a stain on the comforter.
- 2/5
When I checked in, I found my sink in the bathroom full of sewage. The desk did put me in another room, that had food on the floor near the Ac Unit, and underneath both beds, there was a large amount of random food droppings. It was disgusting, and not healthy for unsuspecting guests. I expect a full refund.
- 5/5
Room was clean. Furniture a little dated but they are updating now. Fitness Center equipment is also old.
- 5/5
Yes
- 5/5
As usual beautiful and first class.
- 4/5
It was a nice, quiet stay. Please provide led lighting options in the room. It was very dull and depressing. The refrigerator delivered to my room did not keep my items very cool. I was told there would be bagels at breakfast, but they were not there. I rely on them when I'm headed for a competition, which I was.
- 5/5
Clean room with caring, helpful staff
- 4.5/5
I have stayed here a few times and no issues ever
- 3/5
Hi telmunderneenivation however our room was ok. Desk chair in terrible condition tho- suprised they didn’t exchange ft out before reserving the room! Coffee wasn’t Starbucks even tho advertised such.
- 5/5
Everything was great. Customer service, the cleanliness of my room, the complimentary breakfast and the overall stay.
- 0.5/5
N/A They overbooked! Didn't have a room for me.
- 5/5
Did not have. Breakfast should have been included with room
- 3.5/5
No refrigerator or microwave for room. No trash bag for bathroom.
- 2/5
Their parking lot is outdoors and isn’t anything special. There’s nos exuding guards to justify - so to me that’s a total ripoff. I’ve been at 5 star hotels in Beverly Hills and their charges per day were 15.00.
- 3.5/5
Construction on the 2nd floor level was going on when we arrived.
- 4/5
our room heater was not working properly and to noisy
- 5/5
Awesome overnight experience! Nice staff and extremely clean and well maintained property!
- 3/5
Yes and yes
- 3/5
Bed was comfortable. The room was clean but outdated. The bathroom was nice but low water pressure in the shower. Nice lobby and bar. Breakfast buffet was not that great.
- 4/5
The staff was very kind and courteous. They were working on New Year’s eve and New Year’s Day and still acted professionally which is greatly appreciated.
- 1/5
Location was good for we wanted to visit No fridgei in room, room and hallways very cold went to pool people playing music on a speaker they were drinking beer they stayed in hot tub for 2hrs so we werent able to get in
- 5/5
Staff was great
- 2/5
Stay three days. The room was so cold.
- 5/5
I really like the old fashion design inside the hotel, staff friendly and helpful
- 5/5
All good
- 1/5
We have to shift 3 times in different rooms due to heat problem. We un packed in first room and left immediately to attend party. Came back heater didn't work. We have to carry luggage to next room same thing no heat. Shifted to third room. Next morning bathroom clogged. Complained them they were giving us 1 night free. But because we booked through you 3rd party. We have to go through you. Sent you details and rates our stay. So far no response from your side.
- 4/5
The room was clean but definitely needed updating which they are in the process of doing. The breakfast buffet was not very good. It's your standard overpriced cheap breakfast buffet. The staff were excellent.
- 3/5
Dirty sheets, old room.
- 3/5
The room was very bland and dated. The bed was very soft, needed a little firmness. The breakfast offered was very mediocre, very cold and stale. Not worth the extra money. However, the waiters were very good. The worst part of the trip was the shower, it had low water pressure. It took much longer to shower. On a positive note, the bathing supplies provided were very good (shampoo, conditioner, bodywash, and body cream). The service and staff were very kind and courteous. However, overall it wasn’t what I was expecting for the price.
- 2/5
Stay was good the hotel room is OUTDATED! Furniture is old
- 1/5
No heat in room when we arrived. Set thermostat at 75 and at best the next day it was 68. Shower was so small you could hardly turn around.
- 5/5
Great
- 3/5
Rooms clean but need refurbishment old fashioned. Heating/cooling system very noisy. Staff friendly
- 1/5
Old & tired hotel. They spay so much room freshener in the halls and rooms it gave me a headache. Will not stay here again.
- 5/5
Staff
- 5/5
Room was clean
- 4/5
We stayed the weekend for a college open house that was near. It was close to lots of restaurants and things to do. Overall good experience.
- 5/5
Room clean.Bar and restaurant staff exceptional
- 4/5
Decent hotel … needs renovations, which they were in the middle of.
- 2/5
The entire 2 days we were there they did not have fresh cookies or had no cookies at all and there were roaches in the room
- 1/5
Room was dirty w garbage on the floor. TV only worked if you found the magic angle with the remote. Gym equipment had broken adjustment knobs. Overall it looks if the hotel should have been remodeled 10-12 years ago. The hot tub was on its last leg. The pool was nice at least.
- 5/5
The room was great! The staff where amazing! Thr pool and hot tub where warm!
- 4/5
Clean room , quiet, wonderful buffet and staff
- 3/5
It was ojkay
- 3/5
Housekeeping staff not very honest. Phone charges left behind that were still plugged in wall were taken. When I called to ask about them they claim they were not there. Not happy about that.
- 2/5
Upon check-in, I was asked to give up my handicap accessible room because it appeared I didn't need it. Three times in the ad, it states free local shuttle which they do not have. Never mentions deposit except for pets but there's a deposit. Mold in the shower.
- 5/5
Staff friendly.
- 5/5
I didn't use the hot tub, the business section. The staff was very friendly. The room was awesome. The hotel itself was beautiful. Inside and out. I will stay again if I am in the area.
- 2/5
Room was not clean
- 5/5
Location
- 5/5
There was construction going on in the hotel. Noise started at 7:30 A.M. on Saturday morning. Very disappointing.
- 1/5
We ended up leaving at 9pm after one night stay bc so many kids were running around unsupervised.
- 5/5
Kdkfkd
- 5/5
Like others have mentioned, the property could definitely use some upgrades. However, it was clean, quiet, and the beds were comfortable! I would stay here again.
- 5/5
The front desk staff is so friendly every time we stay. And Agna in the bar is by far the best anywhere. She remembers past guests and makes them feel important.
- 4/5
We were going to another event at the Sheraton across the street, the Doubletree Hilton was very convenient for our overnight stay, and the restaurant was still open when we got back, which was great!
- 5/5
Pretty much everything was great, as expected from this franchise. There are some signs of tiredness and wore however here and there. That’s of course understandable since this property has been around for a good while. Overall, very satisfied.
- 5/5
Clean larger room
- 4/5
Great price
- 5/5
The heating system was impossible. It was freezing and if we turned it up one degree we were roasting.
- 4/5
Rooms were really good.
- 1/5
However, i liked the breakfast they served
- 1/5
The cleanliness of the room was poor, experienced bug bites.
- 4/5
It’s a decent hotel, a little outdated overall but for the most part clean. The shower grout could use a good scrubbing with bleach, but that comes with age. Overall it fit our needs for the night we were there and would stay again if needed.
- 4/5
The hotel was quiet and peaceful during evening and nighttime hours.
- 5/5
Nice property, clean quiet
- 4/5
Clean
- 5/5
This is a older hotel but it is well kept and maintained. It has an old but regal and tasteful appearance and overall affect so if modern and flashy is your thing, this isn't for you. But if you like classy, quiet, and tastefully appointed hotels, you'll love this hotel! It has an on site restaurant and the other amentities are very good. One thing to note (it wasnt that big of a problem for me but I can see how it might be to some) is that the rooms do not have microwaves or refrigerators. There is a microwave in the store area for customer use but refrigeration is a no go here so dont plan on bringing any food to the room that you aren't either going to eat or toss.
- 5/5
Love if
- 3/5
The property looked like it was built in the 1920s.
- 5/5
The breakfast was fantastic! The bar was nice and the bartender was personable and accomodating. The hotel is clean, but could use updating. In my opinion the 6th floor “private key” access was not worth the upcharge. We were expecting access to snacks or bottled water rather than just a floor where others could access unless their key card allowed for it; however we were advised that they haven’t had food / water there available since before Covid. It was evening when we checked in and the lights were off. It was just a dark lit room with seating, but not inviting because it appeared closed. Lastly, because we did have the Private key access we we entitled to free bottled water (one, per person, for each night of our stay) at the front desk and the clerk, without checking first, said we could only have it at check-in. The other clerk remembered us and informed her that we were 6th floor guests and entitled to it. I do appreciate that she remembered us without checking the system. It gave it a more personal touch.
- 5/5
Staff was very accommodating
- 2/5
Shops near by.
- 5/5
I use this property often for its good quality and convenience
- 5/5
Will be back
- 5/5
Welcome
- 4/5
There is plenty of room for a small refrigerator in the room. Most travelers expect this!!
- 5/5
Great stay
- 3/5
Coffee cups and kleenex forgotten to be replenished. Phone didnt work to call down to request.
- 3/5
The staff was not friendly, even though I am a Hilton member, I ask for a bottle of water and they said that because I booked through Expedia, I have to pay $4.00 for the water that they normally give free to Hilton members.
- 5/5
Loved the place, bed amazing I would recommend to all
- 3/5
Our room was clean, but everything is way outdated. You need new mattress and small appliances in the rooms. All our refrigerated items had to be kept on ice, which isn't a big deal, but a refrigerator would've made it easier. The staff we encountered were extremely kind and very resourceful and the breakfast buffet was delicious.
- 2/5
We had to request a mini fridge. I found this to be Extremely odd, I would think this is a given in every hotel. Air condition was inconsistent throughout the evening making the room unpleasant throughout the night with a hot temperature. Loud neighbors as well. Staff was ok.
- 2/5
Hotel is pretty old, and smells like it. No microwave or fridge in room. Not worth it for the price. The location and environment is pretty nice though.
- 2/5
A spider fall on my head while I was setting on the little desk then I looked all over the room and found spiders nests almost in all corners and dust accumulated on all electric cables
- 2/5
At 8:45-8:55pm at night a family of 3 tried to enter my room when I was starting to fall asleep. Thought someone was trying to break in the room! I opened the door & woman with a key said this was her room. I said no it’s mine, I checked in 5 hours ago. She told me her room key number & I asked for the room number twice to double check. She quickly flashed the key card at me. I told her to go to the lobby and get it checked out. I called front lobby and a I explained the situation to a female right away. No apology or showing concern over the phone, no follow up phone call to explain situation. Morning came, I checked out and explained situation to the front desk. He had no notation of issue from last night. He said the guest was just mistaken for going to the wrong room. I told him she repeated the room number several times. And was very serious about the room number being hers! Male employee just seemed confused and felt like he was making excuses. Again, no, I’m sorry or apologies or showing a bit of concern of what happened. Poor customer service and care.
- 2/5
Great location! Room was 104 was not properly stocked with towels and coffee cup. Found long strands of black hair on bathroom floor. The bed was very uncomfortable
- 5/5
Most comfortable bed. Indoor pool at perfect temperature and open long hours. Bartender knows her job well, perfect martini. Food in restaurant and at bar is varied and delicious.

Booked two Deluxe Room with 2 Double Beds but was given both the rooms with one king bed room. Not sure where it went wrong; even asking to change to double bed rooms was not entertained by the manager and neither I was informed.

The hotel is outdated and not fresh. It's not the money.

Good stay, comfortable and has friendly staff

One of my best stays. Started with the check in desk and the professional way I was treated and went on to a wonderful room on the 8th floor. That includes if I wanted bottles of water by the check in women. I did not get the opportunity to dine at your property but I am sure it would have been a great experience. Thank you, Michael Hutchings

I should call and check the amenities before I book a room

There should be a free coffee station instead of having to pay $4.50 for a coffee in a paper cup. Most hotels have free coffee. You actually have the space which is currently unused right by the front door. It was disappointing.

I really was not happy with my stay. I have been to several double trees and they have not been this low in value at all. I could not get an internet connection so I could log onto my computer, the phone in the room did not work. I reported it and it still did not get fixed and when I returned to my room every night to go to bed I woke up in a sweat because the AC would not get cool enough. All these things were reported and did not get fixed. Also there is no refrigerators in the room and the TVs are very outdated.

We got stuck in the elevator for 10 minutes and nothing worked,we had someone on the 5 floor go get help I really don’t think they inspected them when we had to wait to get a person that was staying there get help for us ,fyi stay on the first floor!!

This is one of my favorite places to stay. Friendly staff, pool has a jacuzzi. We were welcomed with a warm chocolate chip cookie. That’s a plus. The only thing it was missing was a free breakfast. I would definitely be thinking about having a wedding here. The bathroom was really nice very clean. Check in was easy. Even though I booked for a high floor with private access and I didn’t get it. Hence the reason for the missing star. Clean room very spacious. We are happy about that.

I booked this hotel specifically because it’s directly across the street from my Corp. office. I accidentally booked Sept. instead of Aug. but the dates were correct. While working on a refund request from Expedia. I booked 1 day there, until I could sort things out. When I checked in, the young lad was friend friendly, gave me Complimentary water, I then went to my room. Room was humid, smokey odd smell and a bit dated. When I checked out the next day, the young lady wasn’t there. An older gentleman was there, and very curt. I asked for a bottle of water, and he noted he’d “Do it this time, but not again”. Completely different experience from the young lady. Note they also refused to refund the room ( I did select no refund), however I had hoped they would re consider since it’s still several weeks away from check in date because of my own error.

The smell in the hallways and rooms was bad. My niece had ants in her room. Got stuck in an elevator for 5 mins. Scratches in furniture. Not enough staff in restaurant. Pool area was fine. Gym was fine. Bed was great.

The public areas of the property were a bit dated. The rooms were comfortable. The location is convenience for my stay.

This is my second time staying at the property with my husband. We enjoy the convenience and the quietness of the neighborhood. The staff were very friendly with the best cookies ever the room was very clean. I just wish I had a microwave and a fridge. We would definitely stay again.

DirtyBeds & smell in rooms & halls
- 2/5
The first room I was assigned to had hair all over the bed and floor in the washroom. We got moved to another room. The hotel overall is okay, outdated, no microwave or refrigerator, limited tv channels this was a last minute stay, next time I will give myself more time to shop around. The staff was very nice and helpful, since it was raining we stayed in and ate at the restaurant inside the hotel the food and drinks were good.

The smell made my eyes & throat hurt and my daughter was getting a headache from the smell. We checked out and left the hotel. They said they would authorize a full credit.

It was great and clean

Such a clean and quiet hotel.

Staff was friendly at check in. Room was missing TV remote, and upon looking for the remote we found three water bottles and a pair of socks under the bed. Front desk was apologetic and sent up staff to send a replacement quickly. Only one out of four lamps in the room worked. Beds are clean and comfortable. Pool area was quiet with a nice view of the grounds.

It really needs to be remodeled and cleaned. This place is very outdated and unfortunately filthy. When we walked into our room, the smell of smoke and grim hit us instantly. Our bed sheets were stained and torn and the dust in the room was crazy. Everything had dust on it, I even found a half inch buildup of dust next to the night stand.

Friendly staff and very safe area and parking lot. The hotel is very outdated, dirty carpet on hallways, not so clean rooms - found q-tips on the room floor, hair on the bathroom floors, room card didn't work properly, looked ice machine door (floor 4), the room card didn't open it). We had no TV remote when arrived (we requested one and delivered very fast), no fridge in the room (not acceptable for a 3 star hotel)

This was the oldest DoubleTree location I have been to. It looked like it hadn't been updated since the 80s. I cant say it was an overall bad experience but it was not great. the room smelled like body odor and beds were pretty uncomfortable. The shampoo and conditioner in the room were empty and I asked twice during my stay to have them re-filled but they never were. The staff was friendly, but I would not come back to this hotel.

We loved staying in the Naperville area. The hotel was clean and staff were kind, but we did not recieve some of the amenities listed such as a crib, coffee maker and fridge. We asked about these items and were told they were available on request. We requested them on our first night but never recieved them.
- 5/5
They use text to check in on guests, and I shared a concern regarding an iron that wasn’t working - they quickly delivered a new one to my room. Love it. Would stay again!

Comfortable bed, clean room, reasonable price!

It was OK, needs updating

Interior is from the 90's--pretty old looking, no clock in the room, no menu for the restaurant was available either
- 5/5
Just be aware there is no fridge and no microwave in your room! We packed a cooler and brought our own food that way. They charge $50 a night for incidentals, and you can use the incidentals to pay for bar and food. Overall a nice hotel and quiet comfortable stay!
- 4/5
The staff were friendly and professional.
- 3/5
It was just okay. Not up to the double tree and Hilton standard .

The Bathroom has no Exhaust and the entire romm and carpet was stinking.

They ran out of the rooms that I book so they put us on the executive floor but the room had a queen size bed, when we paid for king, and no fridge or microwave. We could keep any left overs from the restaurant because we had nowhere to keep them cold. Also has complain several times about someone smoking weed on a non-smoking floor and we had small children with health issues.

Price was very good, but would not stay here again. Staff, specially the restaurant and housekeeping were extremely nice. Gym very poor, hardly anything for a decent workout. Pool smelled of chlorine badly. Not inviting to go for a swim. Very nice pond outside hotel.

The property is very old fashioned , inside the hallways smells like old carpet. Cleaning staff entered my room while I had a DND sign on the door. Cleaning staff also went through my personal belongings.
