Rodeway Inn Lemon Grove San Diego East

I checked in around 10PM and shortly after arriving in the room, I realized how dirty it was. The pillow cases were stained, there were burn marks in the sheets. Worst of all, when going to take a shower, there was long strands of hair in the tub AND wash clothes hanging from the shower bar that had pubic hair on them. It was disgusting.

As a result, I was unable to sleep at all during the night. I checked in at 10:00 PM and left at 6:00 AM without getting any sleep. This was a very disappointing experience.

Room 232 is the room I stayed with my kids and we had a scary experience. First of all the place looks super sketchy. The worst part is on the cabinet next to our beds my 8 year old found a fully loaded magazine she grabbed it and was freaking out. I reached out the expedia because I booked with them and they were no help. The hotel has a kiosk that I didnt even feel safe to go. Definitely Not a place for a family to be in.

AGAIN upon check in the manager was informed of my CHOICE HOTELS MEMBERSHIP which her property is enrolled in ......RODEWAY @ Lemon Grove CA...Also my reservation Special Requested a Fridge n Micro in room....MGR claims my reservation was THIRD PARTY not applicable....no micro in room but community micro was filthy...Definate AIR of Criminal Mischief at this EAST COUNTY motel.... .DNR

Located between a Food4Less and a Home Depot. No pool or breakfast. Room had a large TV and small refrigerator. No restaurants nearby.

There was homeless all over the hotel’s property. Felt a little unsafe. There was limited parking. Building definitely need some upgrades. Room has a funky smell.

We ended up having to book different hotel rooms. The hotel phone system has been down for days I was unable to call and speak to anyone before arrival. Then upon arrival it was not a good environment. Save your money and go 5-10 miles away from this establishment & the homeless community it attracts. 0/10. I even messaged the hotel and got ZERO responses! I never leave reviews but people need o be warned of this place. I've seen Motel 6s nicer than this.

It was close to where I was going in the morning There was no breakfast. I could not get internet on my lap top. The fridge did not close. The sink had no plug to hold the water while shaving. The 1st room the TV did not work and there were burn holes in the bed sheet. The chair was totally worn out.

Pleasant stay management was helpful my pet is allowed here hassle free . I will be staying here again. Close to grocery store and restaurants good location.

Not a single roach. The hallway smells like pee, the stairs and hallway are not the most secure or safe. Water pressure is a joke. The cleaning crew failed to clean my room two times during my stay.

It was dirty, the sheets were stained and there seemed to be mouse droppings. I went to request new sheets because it was gross. We decided not to shower there and just sleep a few hours to get out of there as soon as we could. When I went to go ask for new sheets the staff seemed so inconvenienced. It was a bad experience.

There are no double beds on the first floor, which makes it extremely challenging for someone with a disability to climb the stairs since they do not provide an elevator. Also, if you prepay through a third party and you need to adjust the date, they do not accommodate, they blame it on the third party when they are the owners of the facility and the final decision is made by them. Don’t provide any good customer service in those type of situations. Do not prepay.

Nothing First asked for handi cap, sent us upstairs ( elevator ) Every thing in the room was sticky. The next day it was raining my wife slipped on the stairs. Coming back that night the employ decided to park in the handy cap spot.

The registration was conducted via a small screen and not a real person. The room which was described as having an 8.0 rating was not. It smelled and definitely not as shown in the photo. I left the keys on the bed and departed immediately. We did not stay. I would not recommend this hotel to anyone. I would appreciate a full refund.

This is my goto cheap motel room in town cause the bathroom is always clean, but also THEY DONT HAVE COCKROACHES !! Which is my number one no no. The beds could definitely be replaced to be more comfortable and the rooms could use a deep cleaning on the floor, but bathroom is always clean in the room and its a great deal, you can stay twice as long instead of expensive hotel. And they have been renovated a little but i dont worry its quiet and the no bug thing is the best.

Customer service would not help me cancel & refund when a wrong booking was made 30 days from the reservation. We had to book a night separately when we arrived and it was dirty and neighbors all around were noisy. There isn’t even a front desk helper.

Every morning we had to ask for clean towels and more toilet paper . Rooms were small and the mattress was horrible. Every morning we both woke up to our backs hurting real bad. For the daily amount we paid there was no coffee maker or cups in the room the only thing that are in the room was a large flat screen TV, a fridge and a old microwave that has a stain around the bottom where the plate sits. No we were not happy with our room and we stayed 7 nights. The office staff was never seen because he stayed in his room probably watching TV. And he was hard to understand. The house keeping staff was nice and hard workers. Will we stay there again? More than likely because that's the only motel in the area we need to be close to our family and friends and maybe just maybe the mattress will be better.

But the hotel itself is in a bad area and has poor conditions. The toilet doesn’t really work. The beds are stiff and the AC sounds like about to break down any minute the place definitely needs an update renovation.

The room had obviously not been cleaned, big hunk of hair on the bathtub, dead bugs on the toilet, sheets had cigarette burns, the smoke detector was missing, no remote for the tv, cockroach in the shower and the plug on the hair dryer was cracked and broken

That’s how dirty the floor was. We had a 3 night stay and only stayed 1 night because of the cleanliness and neighborhood not feeling safe. Bed was ok but creaky.

Ants were everywhere in the room. The cable was not working for a while so we reported it to the front desk. That’s another thing we were not allowed to enter the hotel lobby the door was locked and the people inside told us to go around to a window on the side for service I really didn’t appreciate it either.

El hotel es muy sencillo, en una zona no tan bonita, es caro para lo que ofrece (4,000 la noche por una habitación que no es mejor que un 6 motel) se entiende que San Diego queda caro pero por ese precio lo que menos se puede esperar es un cuarto que no huela mal.

Rodeway inn lemon grove , the check in receptionist was very rude mention it was my first time at the hotel , secondly asked for papers for my service animal which you can't ask for my animals papers by law , thirdly you have stuff falling apart in the room , housekeeping knocking at my window on rushing me to get my food , i felt like rodeway inn east lemon grove was very discriminating made me feel very uncomfortable , on top of that day shift receptionist took 20 dollar deposit out of my 50 because of the sheets , that has nothing to do with damage property and felt scammed out of my money , for a hotel with expensive prices i wouldn't recommend this hotel

Rodeway inn lemon grove , the check in receptionist was very rude mention it was my first time at the hotel , secondly asked for papers for my service animal which you can't ask for my animals papers by law , thirdly you have stuff falling apart in the room , housekeeping knocking at my window on rushing me to get my food , i felt like rodeway inn east lemon grove was very discriminating made me feel very uncomfortable , on top of that day shift receptionist took 20 dollar deposit out of my 50 because of the sheets , that has nothing to do with damage property and felt scammed out of my money , for a hotel with expensive prices i wouldn't recommend this hotel

First we were given a room that stink to much cigarettes, the lady was nice and promt to switch room., but the blanket stinked like pee call reception but never answered, had to go out and ask for one,this new receptionist was kind of rude. The property loction had plenty of to eat and we felt safe to walk oround, there is a food4 lees right next. There was no hot water,supposedly due to a city problem. I told receptionist why wasn't I advised before I finished checking in.I ask for a credict and she play the part of it was not up to her.

Terrible area Building was rundown Very small room, no cups in the room. The office is locked and registration done thru the night window, couldnt hear the check in person and she was not personalble at all. I will not stay at this property ever again.
