Studio 6 Suites Lawndale, CA – South Bay

This is just like a cheap motel. I don’t know why does it even called Studio 6! Literally one of the stuff said Motel 6 doesn’t provide amenities!! I would not even stay there ever again. It’s horrible!

All good the room didn’t come with any shampoo and conditioner or lotion. Not sure if it’s not a known thing. Other than that the room was very nice. Thank you

The photos are deceptive. The room stunk of cigarette smoke so badly it gave me a headache. There was mold in the shower. There were bug carcasses on the floor. As we pulled up there were three parties going after midnight. As we left there was a couple obviously in a transactional relationship heading in. We stayed long enough to use the hopes wifi to book a different hotel. The staff was friendly and helpful, but the location and chain are not a place to ho to unless you're looking for a no-tell motel vibe.

There was one person on the staff behind the desk who was extremely cruel rude and disrespectful to an elderly woman, me. After I had extended my stay for one day and paid for the room for no reason she started yelling at me and scolding me and tell me she was going to throw my stuff out in the street and lock me out of the room I almost had a heart attack and had to call 911 to go to the hospital it was extremely stressful I'd had a beautiful day I had walked to the ocean in Venice I had been to a movie and I was a very happy vacationer when this woman for no reason decided to verbally attack me and abuse me. I hope they managers and owners of this hotel look at that video they will be shocked I just completely collapsed under her abuse and refuse to stay there that night even if they had allowed me I have to get my money back all of it I had paid for the room. And now it Travelodge and I'm very comfortable and do not feel any more PTSD from her behavior. I am 82 years old a very friendly outgoing woman very polite and I have to avoid stress because I have heart failure and the doctors have ordered me to avoid stress because I once had an episode of acute atrial fibrillation caused by stress and I almost died. This woman had no respect at all for an old lady it was absolutely disgrace. It was actually life-threatening because of my heart condition. The one person at the desk it was cruel men abusive and totally disrespectful to me.

Loved the swimming pool! Slightly heated, so perfect for a morning swim! Room was spacious and comfortable. Shower was warm and powerful. Everything was great!

Bedding, linens and towels were good. It looked like only the trash was taken out and fresh linens were installed. Surfaces were dusty, I was grateful there was no carpeting or decorative bedspread, ick.... The window was dirty, could barely see thru. I get this is a low budget place, if it wasn't for the grime I would have been OK with the minimal amenities. No streaming, no hair dryer, there was a coffee maker but no place to plug it in. One ice machine on first floor. I was thankful for Starbucks next door. Had I not prepaid 2 nights, I would have left. Live and learn. I appreciate a bargain but it could have been so much better with very little effort. Bring a broom and sanitizing wipes.

i stayed here for 4 days and i loved every bit of it. the staff were so helpful and i was able to check in early with no problems at all. i loved that they had a pool and the starbucks was right in-front of the building which was very convenient. they have a vending machine on location, whenever those hungry nights would hit i was able to pick up something really quick. overall i would definitely stay here again. 10/10

This is more of a motel than a hotel.If you are looking for something a little nice, this is not it. The elevator sucked and was really slow, during the stay one of the elevators broke. There are 4 floors, and I dont knw about the other floors, but the ice machice was broken on the 3rd floor and the note on the machince said the one on the 1st floor was working, so Im assuming no other machine worked on any other floor. Front desk black guy was nice and helpful.

We booked this hotel mainly because it advertised having a pool, but when we arrived, we were informed that the pool was closed due to an unexpected situation. It was still disappointing since the pool was one of the main reasons we chose this hotel. After waiting a few hours for our room, we walked in and were immediately hit with a strong smell of cannabis. We tried leaving the door open to air the room out, but the smell never really went away. By nighttime, it had actually become even worse. This is supposed to be a non-smoking property, but it honestly felt like no one was enforcing the rules or cared about the issue. Overall, the experience was very disappointing and not what we expected.

Well the elevator takes forever 😩, the car port entrance has a huge dip not really safe to exit the car port has a blind spot, if someone walks through the hallway or even out on the parking lot you can hear everything!! Not very sound proof. My balcony sliding door did not open and that sucked bad. Deposit for jacuzzi room very expensive like $400 that’s crazy !!

I booked a room with queen bed but was given a room with a full bed. Asked the front desk if I could change it and was told the hotel didn’t have any rooms with queens beds.

I can’t help but wonder, “Where was security?” There were also people constantly illegally parking in the disabled parking and security did nothing about it. I was also disappointed that my room didn’t have a bath tub and there as moisture damage in my room on the ceiling and long strands of hair through out the space. I didn’t like that I had to sanitize my space and clean my own floors. I also couldn’t open my sliding glass door to air out my room properly.

Only one of two elevators was working which meant half of the guests always had to take the long route to their rooms. No option to walk up the stairs to our rooms so we all had to wait at one elevator.

The property was very accomidating to pets. Everywhere we walked in the hotel it smell of Marijuana. The surrounding neighborhood was run down and low class.The beds creeked and made noise everytime you sat on them. It's ok if you looking to give up comfort for price.

This was a nice hotel. My husband and I stayed there one night before our flight out of LAX. It was a very clean room on the third floor. It had a microwave and mini fridge. It was bigger than I thought it would be. Check in was easy. The gentleman at the front desk was very nice when we checked in. Starbucks is right next door which was perfect for morning beverage and breakfast. For dinner we saw a small hamburger restaurant and Mexican seafood restaurant. They are walking distance which is great because we didn’t want to lose our hotel parking spot. We ate at the Mexican restaurant. It was delicious and had live mariachi music. The hotel is in a generally quiet area close to the beach and airport. Nothing fancy but clean and safe. It has a nighttime security guard which was an additional safety precaution. I do have to share an incident that occurred. At about 2:00 in the morning, some people were arguing and acting very upset very loudly outside our door. A woman was crying very loudly. We couldn’t sleep. We were getting irritated since we had to get up at 5:00 AM for our flight. We called the front desk and explained the situation. The security guard came up to the upset party and got them to leave. It was all very civil. Just a fluke incident I hope. All in all, nice stay.

I'm not accustomed to staying in cheap hotels. I tried to save some money on a business trip by booking here and definitely got what I paid for. The staff was amazing. The rooms have been updated but still not what I'm used to as far as comfort and just overall appeal. The parking is terrible but again, the staff did a great job accommodating my needs with a larger truck and a trailer the first night of my stay. The whole property wreaks of weed. The photographer of the picture showing the "garden area" deserves an award because what looks to be a nice outdoor sitting area is actually about 10 sq feet and unkempt. I had no cleaning service for the length of my staff, not even replaced towels. This may have been due to having dogs in the room but I was not made aware of any such policy. The bed was surprisingly comforfortable. I also had to endure listening to the two couples next door fighting loudly one night, then having loud make-up sex the next night. This after the two women repeatedly came to my door very intoxicated. So, I will gladly spend the money required to avoid such inconveniences in the future. But, if you're are looking for a cheap place to stay and all that comes with, this place is ok.

The room is not soundproof. You can hear noises from the room next to yours. Also the people staying there is weird, a girl was knocking on the door next to mine at 4:00 am in the morning, obviously intoxicated, be careful if you stay at this hotel!!!

This would be my 4th year staying at this hotel and all I can say is the stay was great! Staff was really nice they had my family and I laughing. The rooms were super clean, beds and pillows were comfortable as well. The bathroom also clean. Overall I do recommend people to stay here.😊

The location was convenient and the exterior pool area appeared maintained. However, overall the stay was very disappointing compared to the cost. There were several serious issues during my stay. The air conditioning unit smelled strongly of mold, which made the room uncomfortable to use. The refrigerator also did not stay cold enough to properly store food. The walls are extremely thin, and loud stomping and noise from other rooms continued throughout the night, making it very difficult to sleep. Additionally, there were major safety concerns. During our stay there were multiple shootings in the surrounding area, including one incident directly on the premises that required the sheriff’s department to investigate the scene while guests were present. This was extremely alarming and made us feel unsafe. Despite these issues and previously raising concerns, no discount or accommodation was provided. I spent over $1,000 for this stay and the experience did not reflect the price paid.

I could clearly hear the neighbors in the next room talking and the TV but I only heard them one of my 3 nights. Also I brought the coffee maker into the bathroom as there was no outlet near it. And very little water pressure in the shower.

Honestly it’s my second time I’ve stayed here and both times has been nothing but amazing experience nice clean with fresh scent when walking in I’ll definitely come back and recommend it to my friends and family.

Staff was great. Room was old and not well kept, well the whole place was. Only one elevator worked and you literally had to wait 5 to 6 minutes every time. I would not stay again. Felt like a 39.99 room.

We stayed at the hotel for four days, but housekeeping did not come even once. They didn’t even empty the trash bins. There was no shampoo or extra toilet paper in the bathroom.

I had a good experience at this old extended-stay motel, which allowed me to stay for at least 21 days. One of the elevators did not work, which was a major inconvenience because it was close to my room. The staff and maids were first-rate. The amenities were first-rate. The Wi-Fi was poor, so you needed help from technical support.

I loved that everything was close by. I loved that there was security. Parking was always available. The staff was welcoming. Will definitely be booking here again

You MUST AVOID this terrible hotel!!! I booked this hotel 3 weeks in advance and arrived at 12:30am from the airport last night. They told me they already cancelled my booking this afternoon! They didn't even inform me! My 5 years old son, my wife and I had to spend the whole night in our rental car because it was too late to find another hotel! It was unacceptable that a hotel cancels a booking at the last minute! I have stayed at hundreds of different hotels and never ever had the same situation like this terrible hotel put me on! Shame on you!!!

The room was fine, the staff was great, and for the price, I couldn't complain. I stayed here with my dog for a few nights as a mini vacation (I live 5 miles away,) and it was exactly as advertised. It wouldn't be my first choice in the future, but I wouldn't be opposed to putting some friends and family here either.

Rooms were clean staff was friendly. First room the toilet had issues but they switched rooms and the other worked fine. The second room was smaller which felt like a downsize but still it was clean and everything worked so it was fine

Toiletries kit that was given by the front desk was old, shampoo bottle leaking into all other products. -Hair dryer also had to be requested. -Housekeeping only every 5 days -Walls are thin, you can hear the next room, or people in the hallway as they walk by I would probably stay here again if it was only for a couple nights to sleep as it is ok for the price. If staying 5+ nights, go somewhere else and pay extra for the comfort.

The only reason I didn’t give it five stars was because the sheets were a bit thin and there were only two towels. There was no phone in the room to call and ask for more. The internet was also really slow. That said, the room did have a refrigerator and a microwave. Overall, I would recommend it if someone needs a place to stay near the airport. Just keep in mind that the property is a bit older.

I’ll be honest—when I first arrived, I was a bit disappointed because the hotel didn’t look quite like the photos advertised. However, my stay ended up being genuinely great. There was night security, which made me feel safe, and the staff were all very friendly and welcoming. My room was comfortable, and I slept really well throughout my stay. Despite the initial impression, I ended up enjoying my time here.

Hotel is pet friendly, which is good for those that need it, but I thinks makes it harder for upkeep. The manufactured planks in my room were not the cleanest, I kept my shoes on. My tub wasn’t pristine. The area didn’t seem the safest, but there was security on site and I didn’t experience anything unsafe. Would I stay again for the right price? Yes. But this is low budget indeed.

We had an easy check in! At one point we had lost the parking pass to our car and when I went into the office at 12am the front office employee was very understanding and gave us a new one. No complaints, it was a safe and easy stay!

House keep you speak to them good morning good afternoon, as they walk by making eye contact they act like their walking by a wall. Heading to the room the hallway feels like I was through a dungeon, hot and no cameras the room needed to be swept, sheets dingy, omg the microwave was DIRTY. They do housekeeping every 5 days, anything you want you have to go to front desk. Which I was able to add video. I would never stay here again or recommend this place to anyone. Should have sticked with BW

The owners and management of this company are thieves. They will take money for reservations that were not fulfilled. They will lie they will do whatever they can do just like charging someone $1000 for a room that they did not stay in so right along with Expedia I will no longer be using any of these services or recommending them. I would never ever use Expedia as a third-party company ever again and I’m going to post this on every social media website I can find I’m going to tell every travel agent every company I know never to book through Expedia ever again

The room didn't have facial tissues and the AC had a strange smell when set on heat. If you don't turn on the heat, it was cold. But the worse part was the shower didn't have a soap fixture. In other words, there was nowhere to put your soap and shampoo other than the floor. On the positive side, there was plenty of parking and the room was clean.

But for the price I expect, at a minimum, a clean hotel. The carpet was very very dirty. You can tell the rooms are rush-cleaned every time. I was genuinely scared of catching a bed bug or finding insects. I think I was more excited to leave than to stay.

I'm so glad I choose this hotel to stay at for a few days, it was very convient location and very reasonable in price and I love how they allow pets although I didnt take mine with but I will for future stays! Only one thing I disliked was the beds are a bit squeaky, but they are comfortable. If I ever need to stay at a hotel again around the area, I definitely will be staying here.

I spent 7 days here and I never got housekeeping service the entire stay. It was absolutely atrocious not being able to get any necessities or amenities even after asking for someone to come by while I was away. Never got clean sheets, towels, and even had to restock my toilet tissue myself. Will never stay here again

Cons: Not 3 star as advertised. 2 star at best. Bed is ok but not great. Rooms basic, bare and bleak. Not one picture on walls. 1 desk chair one sofa in a suite. No extras. No hairdryer in room. *stayed 6 nights. On 4th day of stay I was told the room had to be cleaned, no choice in the matter. They said because I was on my 5th day and as such mandatory every 5 days. Wrong it was just the day they had a full cleaning crew and also it seems the average clientele is sketchy enough that they want to make sure anyone staying more than 5 days isn't up to no good. Kind of annoying having no choice in the matter. Cleaning lady was very nice though.

The Hotel was great, it felt roomy. The thing, I didn’t like. The Refrigerator wasn’t working, there was quite a few bugs and a spider. You need to place glue traps, near the doors and near corner walls. also house keepers should apply bug spray. When service cleaning the room, apply bug spray near baseboard and ceiling. Also making sure Bed sheets and covers are replaced clean, apply Bug spray on beds.

The room was clean and spacious, but definitely not new. The bed was clean and comfortable. The only thing is in the bathroom they only had bar soap to wash your hands, and sink for the shower. The showerhead was also facing towards the wall and could not be moved. They do have free parking. You just have to let them know so they can give you a permit to put on your window.

The room was nice, no hair dryer and the bed was hard. I tried to sleep but with the bed being hard, my back and hips were in pain.

Front desk ladies were super sweet, the rooms were clean and came with a mini fridge with microwave. The area was amazing as well, it is surrounded by all type is restaurants and convenience stores. This motel has become my go to place now, highly recommend! Ps- I was excited for the waterfall fountain in the picture but it’s super small and didn’t have water 😭

Friendly staff, and adequate room. Starbucks right off the property for coffee lovers. Pool closes at 7 and ample parking on site. A downside was that staff stated that they would not provide room cleanings for weeklong stays.

This property was ok but receptionist very friendly and helpful. The property was clean but kind of old. I just stay for one night before my flight time depart, so don’t have much time to absorb the area.

It was an overall pretty nice stay. The hotel is clean and has security which is nice.

Rooms were dirty, floor did not look like it had been mopped for a while. Toilet was dirty. Room was very spacious, just wish staff cared more and cleaned better.

We stayed for 7 nights and would definitely come back. Although the property is showing it's age, it's clean. Security on the property was a great reassurance. Our room had an issue with our bed, we brought it to the attention of the front desk and immediately a solution was offered. They went above and beyond. More storage in the room would be nice, even a bench or a dresser. No shampoo, conditioner or body wash in the rooms. When we asked for some at the front desk, they immediately gave us enough for our entire stay. Very friendly and helpful staff. Great experience!

I absolutely love this hotel, I’ve stayed here several times when I needed a break from my life or a stay-cation because I live about 20 mins from here. The rooms look just like the ad and the price is very reasonable. If there was any complaint at all it would be that their toiletries are really weak, I’ve done stay-cations locally for hotels of this same caliber and the bathrooms were filled with full size bottles of Dove body wash, shampoo & conditioner and hand lotions, with travel size Dove soap for the sink, Studio 6 has 2 really pathetic tiny bars, of I don’t know whose soap, so if you don’t bring your own toiletries while staying here, you will be seriously disappointed. If not for that they would get 5 stars. Front desk personnel is super nice, hotel quiet and very clean. Honestly I wish I booked for a longer stay because it was so comfy and relaxing. Slept like a newborn.

Check in was very easy and the person who checked us in was very friendly. The room was clean. There was a microwave and fridge that were super helpful for us. The bed was soft and not as comfortable as I personally like, but overall it was very good value for money, close to a lot of amenities, and I’d definitely stay here again!

It was a nice place but my toilet was stopped up the next morning it took a little while before they fixed it. I ask can I use the restroom in the lobby or another room. The front desk guy told me to go to Starbucks next door

It’s was very clean and the staff was really friendly. The receptionist had a food list for the area and made sure I had everything I needed.

Staff was not friendly at all. Women was yelling all night drunk in the middle of the hall way. The only good thing was free coffee. Wont stay or recommend this place.

Great hotel especially for the price

Staff helped us out with early check in 2 hours prior to original time. They also let us stay 1 hour after check out time for no extra cost. Love the microwave and coffee maker in the room. Clean, but a little outdated. Overall a comfortable stay.

Beds are not comfortable at all.

The place was in a kind of sketchy area, and our fire alarm was beeping the first night and didn’t get fixed until the morning. Also the place was sort of dirty but not anything that was like disgusting. other than that it was okay, a good place to stay when youre on a budget ngl

I was called day of check in at 2pm and was told I need to check in by 5pm or my reservation was going to be cancelled! Totally unacceptable. I've never been in such a rush to get to a hotel

The staff was kind. The room was clean. The air conditioner, refridgerator and bed made so much noise we got very little sleep

Beds were comfortable and it was spacious. Security walked around all day /night, felt safe!! Nice area close to a lot about 30 minutes everywhere you go! My family enjoyed it!

We started off with a room near an elevator and the people coming and going were very noisy. Management changed our room to an upgraded room in an area that was totally quiet at no additional cost.

Feels safe and clean area

Staff has very bad attitude. Room floor dirty, no hair dryer.

The property had roaches as well as dirty sheets and none of the plugs in the wall worked

Room was super clean and staff were very friendly. It's just some of the people staying there during our stay had no regard for other guests, talking so loud, fighting, slamming the doors, and honking like crazy in the parking lot, all at 2 in the morning for two nights.

Not a warm welcome at the front desk. No shampoo and conditioner/lotion etc. Extremely loud, thin walls, could hear neighbors on the phone. Loud carts rolling by the window all morning and day. Flat pillows, no blankets.

Considering it is located in a big, busy, noisy city (LA), the property felt safe and staff were very personable. Near airport, and restaurants available within short distance.
