Super 8 by Wyndham Laurel

The hotel advertised breakfast, but there was very little available other than tea and a small packaged sweet bread, which was far below expectations. Overall, I would not recommend this property. I have stayed at other hotels of the same brand and had much better experiences, so this was particularly disappointing.

I have never seen a sink in a motel like this. I am 5'6" and could barely use the sink. Anyone shorter then, I could not use it without a stool.

Excellent place to stay. I booked one night and kept booking for a week it’s so good.

It was bad. The elevator did not work. The breakfast was nothing. There was bad smell. Totally this place was bad.

I was never told about breakfast. I didn't like nothing about it. Once I entered the hotel and was turned away and being sent back and forth to another Suoer8 and then being put into smoking room that caused chest pain.

Staff is friendly. The air vent system in the bathroom brought the smoke from the nextdoor to the non-smoking room. I booked non-smoking room, but I still smell smoke from the connected room. The air vent system in the bathroom is not working as expected.

Actually there wasn't any breakfast! Just a poor quality coffee and a pastry. There was also a millipede on the room's ceil.

Didn't get the breakfast. Location was near where I needed to go, so it was good. I had a first floor room at the back of the hotel. I could have done without the construction starting at 7:30 am. Also, the room was a bit beat up, but comfortable. I wanted an inexpensive hotel, and that's exactly what I got

No staff to clean the room, sheets dirty have stain all over the sheet, the floor, dirty the sink and the top dirty. The toilet seat was off one School was missing. I’ll let the staff know about it Friday night and he said somebody was gonna fix it. Saturday called the front office Saturday. They said he’s gonna bring somebody and no one ever came to the room to fix anything.

This property is solid. Rooms inside a very nice. Small issue with leaky faucet. Things around tbe property were horrific but surprisingly safe.

There was no Continental breakfast provided as advertised.

The room was okay. not really clean. The parking was atrocious as the restaurant next door took all the parking for the motel. Lost power in the middle of the night.

There was major demolishment of a structure that had been caught on fire going on. The construction noises started at 7 AM. Both days and lasted all day, all types of loud noises, smoke smell and the visual it was directly out of my front door

If I’m being honest, there isn’t a whole lot to like except maybe they checkin staff was somewhat friendly. To start I only rented this room because I had a sewage backup at my home and needed a place to shower while repairs were being done, but it didn’t feel very safe so we didn’t even stay overnight. The parking is incredibly tricky. The rooms have mediocre security, like the deadbolt lock wouldn’t lock and the peephole can be seen thru into the room from the outside. The water pressure was trash, and it barely got warm. The bed appeared to have a finger sized dark blood stain on the cover, and the towels were full of hairs. The shower curtain wouldn’t stay closed. And there were randomly two chairs in the room but the table for them was missing. I didn’t even attempt to see if the TV worked. Overall just not a place I’ll stay again.

Four of us booked this hotel only because everywhere closer to Washington was full. We were given only two towels, and the bathroom and microwave were dirty. The bed sheets had stains, some lights didn’t work, and neither did the TV remote. The worst part? Their website advertised free breakfast. What we got was shocking... a few packs of Swiss Rolls (yes, the snack cakes) from Dollar Tree, a tiny Styrofoam cup of coffee, and extremely sugary “juice.” They’d only put out a few at a time, like they were rationing snacks. I’ve stayed in many places, but this was by far one of the worst experiences. I would never stay here or at any of their other properties again.

No Room service not everyday

Experience was terrible from the start. We were assigned 2 floor room clear on the opposite end from the elevator. Our reservation clearly stated that my father has trouble walking stairs and distance. When I walked in the elevator it smelled badly and set my asthma off. My father would not have tolerated it at all. I asked to be moved to the 1 st floor and told the check in person why. The new room checked out at quick glance. I went back to the front desk for additional towels and rent a cot. I was given the towels and was made to assist the check in person with moving the cot from the stage room to our room. Helped him with it down a set stairs. He picked up a cloth that had fell then left me to continue with cot to our room. I went to plug my CPAP machine and discovered a fire hazard. Not to mention the cord for lamps between the beds was too short to reach either wall outlet. I ended up buying a surge protector to plug both of them in. Oh lets not forget the mold and rust in the bathroom

It was a terrible experience i never expected with Wyndham hotels. property and rooms are not clean. Room bedding and carpets are dirty.toilet was shaking not in good shape. Breakfast is just for attract .. got only glaze and coffee .. better to have no breakfast. They just kept garbage bins near to slow lift. I would suggest not to go with this property.

The room didn't have enough plugs for charging your phones and no USB stations.

This wasnt what i was expecting. At check-in...the guy was not friendly, he was sitting up high, you could hardly reach the counter and had a thick accent. This is a 3 story hotel with a elevator, the elevator is located down a narrow dark hallway. The room was dirty, no hair dryer, cracked lamp shades, lamps unplugged, stains on the comforter, they taped the door, patched the wall, painted over wallpaper. The view was horrible, junked up house and parking lott. Lots of "working girls" there. Lots of noise. Its not a safe place to be. I wouldnt recommend this place to anyone.

They advertise they offer breakfast. It was two honeybuns and coffee no milk. I'm diabetic so I couldn't eat it. They called it a lite breakfast. Parking was shared with a restaurant. So it was a nightmare. Shower leaked and TV didn't work it kept coming in and out.

Breakfast left something to be desired. The room was clean and nice.

But the housekeeping guy was nice.

The property was run down. NO pool! and basically just coffee and juice for breakfast. While not unsafe, the parking lot was overcrowded due to the overflow of cars from the next door restaurant. WOULD NOT RECOMMMEND; unless you were hispanic. We were friendly and polite to the people working there but were "totally ignored!". We waited 5 minutes and left. The restaurant had (4) people seating at the table! Down the road more places to eat and a Planet Fitness and LA fitness (6) minutes away. The room had a lot of light going thru it, and only one wall plug not near your bed to charge phone: bring extention cord! Stay was OK. Would stay there again, if no other option.

Terrible the door didn’t close so we had to stay in the hotel. It was hella big after we clean and wip it down. They did give me a refund but they was trying to kick me out at 11pm because they door didn’t work . But you get what you pay for .

The hotel was pretty noisy at night with traffic and other hotel guests arguing. The "breakfast included prewrapped honey buns, coffee with no creamer, apple and orange juice. The room itself was fairly spacey and clean.

Waste of time

We felt that the man at the check-in desk was rather short with us. It is all glassed in except for one very small talk through area but he never came to that area and I had to keep asking him why did you say what did you say. It was listed as breakfast continental breakfast, that consisted of coffee which wasn’t good, and three honey buns in cellophane packages.

Old motel, check in clerk behind plexi glass barrier, most likely bullet proof did not make us feel very safe nor comfortable. He had a hard time hearing me during check in.

The pool is a garden not usable as advertised. The room was clean and well kept, the staff was friendly and helpful. We were really counting on a pool so honesty in advertising would have been appreciated.

Elevator doesn’t work to get on the 3rd floor lol and sometimes the elevator gets stuck but overall good hotel for a quick getaway

I booked the room for the jacuzzi tub, which barely worked. The jets were all broken with the exception of two. The water was so incredibly hot, and the cold water nozzle was broken, it took hours before I could even use it, and I had to keep moving cold water from the shower, using the ice bucket. I also booked a king size bed and was only given a queen. Parking was also an issue due to the bar/restaurant next door. I was very disappointed in the stay. Especially for the price.

Don’t expect to find anything to eat for breakfast, even if you wake up at 6 am to get it. Just coffee, and it’s not a good one.

There is no breakfast at all,the lift work barely..shortage of staffs,and very slow staff overall not good at all

There were cockroaches in the bed, on the walls and in the sink. Freezer had mold and smelled. Walls were filthy. Advised staff I did not want to stay in an unhygienic room and informed I was pregnant. Staff was rude and refused to refund me. Spoke with manager the next day who also refused the refund.

The room was not clean. The office pantry is so high that a small person would not be able to interact with the clerk. Even if there is suppose to have a breakfast with the reservation, in fact, there is nothing to eat and only some coffee an orange juice. Really deceiving

The rooms were maintained in the ost unhygienic conditions that we were barely able to survive the nights spent there. The breakfast is for namesake as they’ve kept some expired refreshments. No value for money at all. Will not recommend staying here until the facilities are improved.

Not enough parking

The room was OK and decent as promised but their 'free breakfast' is a scam. They just have a black coffee pot in a small room and that is all for a breakfast. If you go with a mind of booking this place with breakfast then you will be left disappointed. Beware!!

It was bad. Outside there were people drugged out circling the property and multiple urine puddles. Inside the room the bed was stained, large hair balls in the towels, the bathroom door was clearly kicked in and repaired with duct tape, the shower hardware was falling off the wall, mold all over the shower curtain. I slept in my jeans and sweatshirt on top of the covers and left.

Loud, not super clean, not a great area

The place needs a total overhaul to bring it up to standard. There are bugs running around, the ceiling is peeling off in different places. Very noisy with traffic from the highway/street. The outside looks a bit dilapidated and needs a complete overhaul, looks very dirty which follows through to the inside.

Just what we need for an over night stay to rest.

The room I stayed in looked like they were getting ready to paint as there were many primer patches in the room and bathroom. There were items still in the fridge which made me wonder how thoroughly the rest of the room had been cleaned after the last guests. The message light on phone was blinking and when I tried to push 111 to retrieve them, the #1 button was broken. Called the front desk to check and they told me I had to dial 111. Parking was horrible as there was a restaurant and food truck next door to hotel and their cuatomers parked in hotel spaces. If there was more than 1 car in the driveway to get out, no one else could get to parking lot since entrance was blocked. About the only positive was the strong hot water in shower.

I've never seen a place like this and the service like this. The lady at the reception desk pretty much said no to everything. I asked her about the free breakfast, she said no, I asked her about toothpaste she said no, I asked her if there's coffee maker in the room, she said yes but when I entered the room no coffee maker I called her and asked her and she said I don't know come back 6:00 a.m. tomorrow when the boss is here and ask him. She would not give me the key because she said hotel.com/expedia locked the payment, but I prepaid the trip when I booked it, unreal had to wait 45 minutes before she game the key and said she got the payment. The sofa in the room look like somebody used it as a toilet. Bed sheets, chair, everything had cigarette burn marks. Never ever had an experience like this in my whole life. I understand it's a low budget place but the feel of it was like a NO BUDGET place. They advertised breakfast and coffee makers in the pictures and online but they don't have any of it.

Check inn was very easy. I arrived before check inn and they were still cleaning rooms. The gentleman asked if I could com back in about an hour and he’d have my room completed. So I went to breakfast and the room was ready.

Noisy . Breakfast only has very sweet honey bun. Except this horrible sweet honey buns, nothing else to choose.

Room had bugs and roaches. Checked in, check the room and left. Did not have ime to confront the front desk. I am a truck driver and was very tired from being on the road. Would not recommend this location.

It was a good stay and for the price I can't complain. Cleaner than 1 would expect and our non-smoking room didn't smell, yay! It was a bit loud and the fridge smelled like old mexican food. Besides that it did its job.

Please take off the breakfast from the advertisement, because only coffee or juice and useless one snack provided by the motel and there are only 2 chairs and one small table to sit in cafeteria.

The rudest experience I’ve ever add in a Hotel I booked a room for 5 people and the lady at the front desk offered me 1 sheet for the person to sleep on the ground because the room only had 2 double beds. I was so tired I pleaded for a few blankets so we could just sleep on the floor. The lady half way conceded and when I asked about breakfast she got upset and started telling me to go to another hotel and started recommending the hotels in the neighborhood. I explained that my mom is handicap and is tired and I just wanted to get her to bed because she was tired. as I waited for sheets another oldwe Indian guy came out yelling at me that breakfast was 1 sticky bun and either 1 cup of juice or coffee Even though I wasn’t asking about the breakfast and had just written it off. I said that’s fine and he started yelling “get out now” several times at me. I did nothing to instigate I just wanted to sleep it was late and I was exhausted. They both kept yelling and telling me to leave now. Even though I asked for a few minutes to look for another hotel. The whole experience was kind of funny. These folks seem overwhelmed very rude condescending and don’t ask about breakfast or you’ll get thrown out like we did late at night.

My room was clean , AC ice cold. Parking was a little difficult due to shared parking with the Restaurant next door. The hotel is older but replacement of some fixtures have been done.Nice place to stay if your not too picky.

Next up we got the insufferable cigarette smell in the rooms. There was cigarettes burns on the blankets of our room. Not to mention the sighting of a literal RAT near the property where the car parking . The only acceptable point of this hotel was the room cleanliness.

Another disappointment was the so-called "breakfast included" that they advertised on their website. To my dismay, the breakfast they provided was nothing more than a honeybun, accompanied by a rather unappetizing selection of apple and orange juice. Eating the honeybun felt like an invitation for immediate heartburn, and the juice seemed utterly repulsive, like someone had vomited into it. Adding to the already unpleasant experience, the whole place reeked of marijuana. The pervasive smell made it incredibly uncomfortable and unwelcoming. To put it bluntly, this hotel is simply garbage.

Dirty closet, broken bed, insects in the room- cockroaches, worms etc dirty bedsheet and blankets. At the booking time it shows there is breakfast included but they have only apple juice in the breakfast. Nothing else.I will never select any super8 and don’t recommend to anyone.☹️

Breakfast was a joke. Honey buns pastries, juice and coffee. Hardly nutritious for walking miles and miles in DC. We supplemented with real food (roomy fridge was convenient). There was fast food, grocery stores and the like all nearby. The drive to DC took a while due to traffic, but I chose that to save money on where we stayed. As a side note, I've also witnessed hotel staff re-painting the rails and sweeping the area in front of the lobby. It does look like they try to take care of it, but the building is old. There was one washer and dryer, but the price was right and the machines worked, and I didn't need to wait to use them, I don't think many people make use of it.

The wifi was so poor we couldn’t connect by either phone or pc. Night shift front desk person could care less. The so called breakfest they provided was a poorly cleaned coffee pot, juice dispenser, and a handful of vending machine pastries. Their google listing showcases a waffle machine and other nice breakfest amenities. None of which were present. The whole place smelled of smoke and weed, even the non-smoking rooms. The only good thing was a decent room of size and cleanliness (although that same cleanliness did not extend to the common/dining area).

A location and fee was affordable, but a entire service, friendly, and a room cleanliness bad. Also, I booked a non-smoking room, but a room was steadily smoking smell.

Very bad .. Soaps are 2 year old and smell bad. The electrical outlest are open and all loose and unsafe. The shower's - water pressure is like dripping.. Breakfast is juice and coffee.. no parking on site and its not safe to park offsite. mosquitoes and flies are there.. bedsheets were smelling. Never going here and I suggest no one too.

When I booked this stay, I read some of the reviews and I was a little concerned but for the price, I chose to give it a shot. Although the room was not the Ritz, it was still nice. The beds were soft. Everything worked and the room was on the ground floor which was good as I can not do stairs and the elevator was out of order but they did get it fixed while we were there. The staff was friendly. The free breakfast was very lacking. Hope you like honeybuns. A lot of the reviews mentioned the mexican restaurant next door being good, I can not attest to that as we went over there once and waited 25 minutes and no one came to take our order so we left and went somewhere else. The staff at the restaurant was also rude. The bad thing is that there was an issue with some other guests having an altercation and the police was called. It was handled very swiftly and sufficiently.

Good guest service

This property was rundown. Offered breakfast, but there was no breakfast, just coffee and juice. Had to wait awhile for check in after travelling over 9 hours. Could not close bathroom door, floor was dirty and light switch did not work. Linens were worn out.

The hotel description says breakfast included. But IT IS A SCAM. They only had a Honey bun and a very bad coffee. I will never stay a Super 8 and specially this one. Avoid this property if you can.

I could hear people talking in other rooms, there's a very busy boulevard whose noise easily penetrates the walls, the lamp next to the bed did not work, the faucet for the shower could not be adjusted to produce anything other than cold water

It would be nice if Hotels.com had Smoking or Non-Smoking preference. Good hotels, excellent Mexican restaurant next door. Please confirm preference for non-smoking or smoking. Continental breakfast.

The room is spacy but old and smelly, the staff were not friendly, they ignored our questions, there was no breakfast, they said the night when we checked in that they only have honey buns and coffee and juice which served between 6 am to 9 am, however, when we came to the dinning room at 8 am, nothing were there, we need to approach the staff several times in order to get buns and coffee, the lemon juice feel like water, the coffee urns was there but not coffee. We needed to request several times to get a small box of 10 honey buns in the tray. If you are the customer, how do you feel? I would not recommend my friend to go to this Super 8 by Wyndham Laurel in Laurel, Maryland USA.
