Clean, quiet, and affordable

The room and bathroom were clean and up to date. The bed was comfortable. It took a while to get hot water in the shower at first, but then it was nice and warm. The room was a bit tight with only one bedside table - both in the king room and the single queen room. The breakfast had a number of options and we all found something we wanted. The breakfast staff were friendly and helpful. There were a lot of stores and restaurants not far away. It was also about 20 minutes from BWI where we were picking up family.

The breakfast was average; I was hoping for waffle iron and a few more above average breakfast items. The value of the stay was above average. Very nice price for stay.

It was a very nice place to stay while we visited Maryland for a graduation. The hotel was convenient and close to many restaurants, outdoor shopping malls and places we stopped to see. The only downside was the breakfast. While there was somewhat of a selection, not alot but more than just a continental breakfast, it was not tasty at all and a lot to be desired. Overall it was a very pleasant stay.

Hands down the cleanest Best Western I have ever stayed in. Our room faced a road and we could hear a train as well. If you are sensitive to noises, bring earplugs. Would stay here again.

The hotel room was very clean and there was plenty of parking. The stay was very affordable. There were a lot of negatives, but I think that's the natural balance of an affordable hotel vs expensive hotel. The front room of my king suite where the sofa bed was located made me and my kids cough, sneeze, and itch. We do have allergies so the room/bed probably was dusty. Unfortunately, it prevented us from being able to use the sofa bed. The staff was not personable and their friendliness was noticeably forced (except for the night front desk employee Ms. S., who was fantastic!). It seemed like every employee had an annoyed look on their face when they didn't notice me and then forced a smile once they did. The day manager was especially rude and could be the reason for the staff's somber attitudes. I encountered him twice speaking to staff and was disappointed by his condescending tone to the employees and also to me when I asked him a simple question.

Like home away from home. Housekeeping was always on time to keep rooms clean. Wish I could give a 11/10 for this stay.

Front desk staff was helpful and friendly. The breakfast was ok. There is a pool but it is outside. The rooms were clean but needed a little touch up in areas. The area wasn't bad and there were lots of shopping and food places near.

The room was nice, comfortable, and housekeeping came every day. The digital clock on the nightstand actually gave the correct time! That seems to be a rarity in hotels today. It was fairly quiet despite that fact that the hotel was fully booked that weekend. The breakfast was OK though basically the same thing every morning. My main complaint was the shower. I was on the 4th floor and it took several minutes for the warm water to reach my floor. It was never hot; I didn't have to adjust it. At least it wasn't cold. I had no problem finding a parking place.

We have stayed at 5 star hotels and this place was as nice as those. Staff was friendly and nice as well. It was like a brand new hotel. The only negative thing I could complain about was the breakfast was the same each day. It was great but I love bacon and sausage was served every day. But the yogurt machine with fresh fruits was delicious.

Staff were great from the front desk who greeted us and later found us a remote for the tv, the manager who helped with our reservation, housekeeping who made sure our rooms were clean and comfortable, maintenance who took care of a minor problem within minutes of asking, and breakfast room staff who kept both cold and hot items available. They were friendly and professional. Parking was convenient. We were disappointed that the patio and pool area were not open to enjoy the sunny warm days, but it was still early in the season.

The heater/ac unit is too close to the bed in room 417, the fan blows right on you. That's just my opinion.

This hotel was way over rated on Expedia. The area itself wasn’t the best and the hotel didn’t have the feel of a safe, warm environment. I traveled with my daughter and was grateful it was only one night.

Your staff and location are great. Breakfast was great as well. Your hotel needs some upgrades, such as: a card reader in the carport area, elevators floors, and the carpet throughout your facility.

Very nice property for the price. Decent breakfast and the property was well maintained. No issues self parking as there was more than enough room. My room (king bed w/sofa) was nicely sized. The only issue was the shower leaked at the bottom, room 506, if you wanna get that looked at. Other than that my trip here was pleasant!

What I didn’t like was that the room was outside the main hotel with cars parked in front of the room. It was quiet… just the idea of being outside & being a cold night didn’t want to get out of the room for tea/ coffee The breakfast next morning was great with excellent choices (hot) Will stay here again as a good value for money

My family and I stayed at the Best Western Plus Laurel for a few nights. The front desk/staff were attentive and helpful and the property/rooms were super clean and nicely decorated. There was a nice selection for breakfast as well. We loved our stay and had a great time. The only thing that I want to mention (but isn’t the hotels fault) is that there are a lot of inconsiderate people who slam their doors without consideration to others who are staying at the hotel. Unfortunately for us the loud door slamming was throughout the night or early in the morning so we didn't sleep much.

Breakfast is fine, but staff are rude in the breakfast dining room, staring at us, even yelled at us to clean up table which was not sat by us, that table was not cleaned when we came in. No idea why the staff thought us leaving trash. Obviously he did not check dining room often.

The front desk agent guy, i called in the morning to check my reservation for me he say yes. However i also asked i be arriving at 1-2 am. He confrim and say it's okay, upon arrival the room was occupied. We had to wait about two hours just to see if a room will be available base on the receptionist lady said. It wasn't her fault but big thanks to her. Her customer service is outstanding, I'm sorry I forget her name. But she's REMARKABLY, HELPFUL, EXCELLENT.

Breakfast is great (for this price segment), only downside for me was the yogurt dispenser, I trust factory sealed containers, not concentrate+water mixers. Kitchen staff was rude. All else is great, zero complaints

Convenient location and affordable price I’ve stayed here 3 times before but this time my bed linen and bathroom were very dirty. There was a big stain on the carpet and I was uncomfortable because of the lack of cleanilness.

Hot water didn’t last long in shower, but did receive a notice of an upcoming update to the hot water system after our stay. Room faced train tracks a block away heard trains most of the night. Early check in text message turned to be a total waste of time as we experienced the complete check in process upon arrival which defeated the purpose of early check in the day before. Breakfast was very good, but limited options. Room was very clean, beds were ok. Staff was very nice and helpful especially the breakfast crew.

The room was nice and well maintained. The free breakfast is like most free hotel breakfasts, pretty mediocre with scrambled powdered eggs. The main Downside is traffic and train noise. The trucks really became active around 6:00 am. Although I had a rental car, they have 2 EV chargers which I always look for when driving my own electric car.

The breakfast menu was decent and the room was clean. However, my room (402) had very low water pressure, especially in the shower. Because of that, I had to spend much more time than usual showering

Check in with as very easy and the front desk staff was pleasant. We were given a handicap room near the elevator. (we did not request this) The shower was so hot that it nearly burned me. Before I could even turn it down the water temp dropped. Just as I was rinsing my hair the water temperature became scalding again. The hotel should definitely do something to regulate this especially in a handicap bathroom.

I was locked out of my room for 2 hours from 10:45pm to 12:45am because batteries were malfunctioning and there was no facilities person on site. The coffee machine didn’t work and the coffee made for breakfast looked like tea.

There was no complaint on the cleanliness and service at the breakfast. I had a challenging time during check in. Even though I presented proof of reservation, she kept me waiting until her system communicated with Expedia. I spend almost two hrs trying to connect with Expedia customer service to get the same answer about my reservation confirmation and need to talk to the hotel. I was frustrated.

Every staff, clean rooms, gym and laundry.

The doors slam so loud it shakes the room even if the door is a couple of rooms away. They squeezed guests into adjoining units even though it wasn't full and that made the sound noises all the worse. The room walls are paper thin so I could hear the people next door. I found a bug in the room and brought it to the front desk so that it could be noted and receive possible action. The front desk clerk at my exit was rude and dismissive.

There is not clear signage that you need to scan your card. Evening clerk was so engrossed in her phone that she didn't notice we were stuck between the doors and it was full of marijuana smoke. We eventualky found the scan box and got in.

This was my second time staying at the BWP. Staff was friendly as before. Check-in was easy. Free parking and Wifi are included. I also liked that my key worked on the side doors which hasn't been the case for other hotels I've stayed in this year. I've traveled a bit and stayed in 8 different hotels since the summer, this is the only hotel I've had a repeat stay. When my friend asked if my room was nice, I told him I was staying at the BWP and his response was "Oh, I know it's gonna be nice."

Building looks a bit run down outside and the lobby is dated, but our room was clean, comfy and has had some updates. The room door had gaps around it, so every sound from the hallway was very loud, but we still were able to get a good night's rest. Breakfast was hot and fresh, tables were clean and supplies were stocked. There wasn't anyone at the desk, or a drop box for the keys, so we had to leave our keys out on the desk so we could leave on time. Otherwise, it was a good stay for a safe place to sleep halfway through our road trip.

The breakfast was limited and not very good. the staff wouldn't let us use the restroom in the lobby after we checked out. Said we were not customers anymore. The area is kind of rundown but we did walk to main street to try to find dinner, but everything was closed on Labor Day.

This is not your mama's Best Western from back in the day. I was skeptical to stay because of the low star rating but I did my research and saw that BW is now partnered with a luxury hotel company to increase its value. I had to see for myself. I canceled a booking with a 4-star hotel and booked this one because I had to see if the hype was real. It was! I had a junior suite with a king size bed and couch. I clean every room I sleep in, but this one didn't just look clean, it smelled divine. I loved the floor to ceiling window. My bed was super firm which I loved. Probably one of the best beds I've slept in during my vacation season. The staff was lovely and friendly. Very welcoming. I was able to check in early and my fee was waived which was awesome. I left something in the room and I received a call and a text the next day so that my friend could swing by and retrieve it. Also, there was plenty of parking at no extra charge. The price was awesome for everything that I received. 10/10. I am currently looking for other Best Western Plus' to stay in for my next trips. I've stayed in 7 different hotels during my vacation season and this one is definitely top 2.

The shower and the sheets were dirty . There were black, brown and red stains on the linen for the bed. A bunch of hair inside of the bedding . The wash cloths and towels had stains on them as well . I asked the front desk for new/cleaning linens and wash cloths and they did not have any.

Sharon, at the check-in desk was very kind and helpful. The coworker assisting with breakfast was pleasant. However, Andy the manager at breakfast was very rude and mean to another guest and me. I didn’t see where the toaster oven was located because several people were in front of it. I asked Andy if there is one. He didn’t look at me. He pointed to the area and in a nasty way said it’s over there. Sheesh. I waited my turn behind a female guest. She put her items in the oven. Andy comes over. Looks at her. Loudly he asked Did you put that danish in the oven? She backed away from him. Yes. He yelled at her Can’t you read? She said no sir I don’t have my glasses on. He yelled don’t put anything but bread, waffles and bagels in the oven! She quietly said I’m sorry. He called to the coworker she put a danish in the oven. The coworker said okay I will take care of it. She came over and the guest apologized to her. The coworker said it happens. I’ll take care of it. She was very kind. After I ate my breakfast and the other guest finished, I hugged her and told her I knew she was having a rough morning but it’s going to get better. She thanked me. I talked to the coworker thinking she was the manager but she said no Andy is. This is the second time we’ve stayed here and Andy has been mean to the guests including me. I wasn’t going to book this hotel because of him but thought I would give him another chance. The general manager has my email.

I had to pack up my family of 5 at 130am due to bed bugs and rodent feces in our room. Lots of people in and out of the hotel late at night. We felt watched and unsafe. I was promised a full refund for the 2 rooms I booked by the front desk, however management is very uncooperative and I have not received my money back.

The room was great—clean, neat, everything provided that we might need. Checking was smooth and quick. The dining room staff were helpful and friendly; breakfast choices were varied, plentiful, and good. My only complaint is not something the hotel could really control—road noise. That said, the hotel was easy to reach since it was on a main road and actually near a very quaint part of Laurel. If our room had been on the back side of the hotel, I’m sure it would have been much quieter.

Even though it was a no smoking area, as soon as I stepped out of the elevator there was a strong smell of pot all over. Even the bedroom did not have a pleasant smell. Bathroom was okay, although I would have preferred a walk-in shower or an enclosed bathtub. The bed were comfortable and nice. I called the front desk for a blanket, but I had to come to pick it up. At 6am there was a lot of noise in the hallways, talking and what sounded like cleaning carts, so I couldn't sleep after that.

Great staffing, very satisfied, customer service was excellent, very professional, with a exceptional of one receptionist who was chewing gum while serving customers, had no concerns about others, she was also rude, hopefully see can take discipline class, other wise I enjoyed my stay, thanks

I’ve been staying here for 4 nights, but there’s a bad smell and the windows can’t be opened.

we are stay for last 3 years it was good customer service . clean room and good brakes fast. but this year everything is changed and bad what is going on. we are not happy .

Bathroom door was difficult to shut, leaking commode and shower floor leak. No smoking room smelled like smoke, had to request a clean bedspread.

Comfortable bed, great housekeeping, good food options in the area, nice pool, & friendly front desk staff. Only complaint would be that our room smelled faintly like cigarettes, other than that everything was clean and nice.

Your service was great front desk your breakfast people especially your room cleaners.

Sharon the overnight clerk needs training, she was not hospitable at all. We arrived at 5am after 10hrs of driving, she claimed the hotel is sold out. I asked if we can sit in the lobby or use the bathroom till day break, she refused, we had to stayed in the parking lot, when it's not comfortable I asked if I pay extra to get a room, she magically has a room. Her attitudes and tones stinks. I had managed a bigger hotel and can bring groups to the area, Sharon does not represent this hotel well. She messed up my reservation, I was waken up to ckout when I have 2more nights to stay. My experiences with other staff was fine.

Clean and updated room that was automatically cleaned and beds made for each day of our stay (kudos to housekeeping). Excellent hot breakfast overseen by Andy (head cook) who is very personable--along with his female assistant. Both of whom were very engaged and friendly with the guests during breakfast. So much so, it is obvious they take pride in their work and strive for customer satisfaction. As for the food...hot buffet of eggs, hashbrown potatoes and either bacon or sausage (regular or chicken) depending on the day. There was also oatmeal, cereal and a variety of bagels, pastries as well as fruit. For those traveling to Washington DC, like we did, the property is within easy walking distance to the MARC train that takes you right into the city. We used this train round trip as transportation to the capital...very convenient. I will definitely stay at this property again.

Ceiling leaked an extensive amount in the bathroom— waking me up after arriving at around 3am. Delayed a new room due to being at full capacity but was eventually given a new room on a higher floor. A few dirty towels and stray hairs around, paper thin walls. I wouldn’t recommend.

The Hotel was very good but the breakfast was subpar. We have had better at lesser hotels. Was surprised that it was not very good.

Didn't know that there was a pool at the property. I might have brought my swim suit if I had known.

The doors literally slam when you close them. Couldn't sleep all night because of doors slamming all around us. Street noise is loud too.

Staff was friendly. Our room was clean but the bed and pull out couch were very uncomfortable. Bed was like concrete and pull out couch mattress was so worn out you could easily grab each spring. Road noise (including passing train whistles) was unbelievably loud. Door to the bathroom was very loud also because it stuck and was hard to open and close. Housekeeping the first day left the nightstands looking like there had been a brawl. Phone off hook, clock knocked behind nightstand, lampshade very crooked. 2nd day, they never came. Front desk wouldn't bring us towels and tp, said to come get them. Never said to bring the old towels. Had to go back to room after arriving at front desk, to get the dirty towels, then back down to front desk again. Frustrating. Laundry room only had one washer and one dryer, and was only available from 9-9. Housekeeping day 3 was great. Overall, would not stay there again.

I had lost my wallet and all my credit cards so my wife booked the room for me since I was traveling alone out of town and they wouldn’t let me stay since I didn’t have a card to put a deposit down. Even tho my wife booked with a credit card on Expedia they said they needed an actual physical card

The staff were very friendly and the stay was comfortable. They kept checking on us appropriate messages. They even let us know that we had left behind an item after we departed .

Comfortable stay for an extended weekend visiting family. Friendly staff, rooms were very clean, beds were comfortable. We loved that there was an outdoor pool and it wasn’t crowded. Hot and cold breakfast options that were a good start for the day. It is not n a busy road so it can be a bit noisy from the traffic however, that would not steer me away from staying again in the future.

Overall, the property was great. My only concern is that I am not sure about the privacy and security of guests belongings because my laptop was stolen from my room from inside my luggage bag which is a huge privacy violation for me.

We have stayed here before. This visit we were put in a first floor room - was told that was the only room available. There are 4 rooms outside the main building; we were placed in the end room. It felt like a 1950's cinder block motel. The room itself was fine - very clean, but our window overlook what looked like a construction dumpster. There were cars and motorcycles pulling in and out of the parking spaces outside our door at midnight and before 8am. When I left the room in the morning to get some breakfast items, there were 2 young people (teenagers?) literally hanging out on the walkway right outside our room. Obviously our previous room had been inside on the 2nd or 3rd floor and didn't know about the 1st floor rooms or experience the issues we did this visit. We will not be returning.

Rooms were nicely updated, breakfast was decent and check in and out was easy and hassle free. Right by the train station which made it easy to get in to DC.

The staff was super nice upon arrival, hotel is super clean free expresso machine in lobby let me say yummy,cery quiet hotel and peaceful definitely recommend this place in laurel ms may wv2n xome back one weekend ro just hangout and chill

Stayed for a couple days the breakfast was ok, the room was clean and I’d asked for our room to be left alone and the cleaning crew still came in. That was a bit annoying. There are spots to eat and lounges in walking distance. I would recommend staying.

Everything was perfect

The stay was great. Very friendly staff. One thing about the room was that one of the queen size bed was right in front of the AC. That bed received the cool air directly. Overall, highly recommend this hotel.

Check in was easy. The employees were all kind. Hotel was clean, no creatures in the bed. It was in an area with a lot of food and stores close by. Nothing to complain about! The pool hours are kind of odd, but other than that, we had a nice stay!

It was fine...but, was woken up early on Saturday with doors slamming. Part of that is just how the doors are designed, but another part is just inconsiderate guests who should take care to not let their door slam at 6am!! Also, I was across from a stairway door, so I think that was also part of the problem.

A nice place to stay, rooms was clean and good breakfast

Not a big fan of Laurel, MD as compared to other towns adjacent to Columbia Maryland for the Capital Jazz fest but hotel was efficient, and reasonable. Wish the breakfast would have offered turkey products instead of pork but otherwise great job. Dining and shops were less that a mile or two away.

The front desk staff called the manager the night I arrived when I first stated it wasn’t in a safe area, who stated she wouldn’t deal with it until morning which meant I didn’t know if I could get a refund, but I could hear her in the phone say I wouldn’t. It just got worse…as stated above. I would like a refund. I book through Expedia when I travel to avoid things like this. The comment to me was… you should have booked through us directly. Prove me wrong. I also paid in advance to save money instead at the property… should I not do this in the future? Thank you..

It was amazing and quiet and peaceful. The breakfast was great and the room was neat.

Room was exceptionally clean and modern

We highly recommend Best Western Laurel! They have such good service and many amenities, such as delicious complimentary breakfast, a pool, a microwave, fridge, etc.! House-keeping is so good at cleaning up our room and makes it so fresh every day! One suggestion is to perhaps provide some sort of “Febreeze” spray because the bathroom developed odors quickly. Other than that, we really loved our stay! We encourage any person reading this review to choose Best Western Laurel if they’re vacationing around the area!

Celebrated our 46th wedding anniversary in this area and we were happy with the location of this hotel and the events we attended in the area. Staff was helpful and friendly. Room and bed were comfortable. The TV stopped working but management was working on getting it fixed before next time it was used. Overall very happy with this hotel and would recommend. Lots of great restaurants close by. Would highly recommend Olive on Main and Mid Atlantic Seafood.

The original queen room I was given was narrow and small. Not adequate for 2 pple for 4 days. I received a complimentary upgrade because of my VIP status and it turned out to be a fabulous stay. Wish they had a waffle or pancake maker for breakfast and provide more than sausage for a breakfast meat

It doesn't look like much from the outside, but this is the perfect stopping point for me between NC and NY. This was my second stay and I'll definitely return. Friendly staff, clean and updated rooms, good breakfast, easy parking, great price.
