We stay in a lot of hotels and this one was exceptional! Sparkling clean and excellent water pressure including a hand held shower head! Kitchenette with frosty cold frig. Design was above and beyond with high ceilings, great lighting and little touches that made it well thought out.

Location, Clean, Friendly Staff, Great breakfast options, 2 bedroom suite is spacious and was perfect for our family. I honestly have no complaints

I’ve been traveling to the Albany area for 6 years. This is my first stay at this hotel. It is my new favorite. Extremely clean and comfortable. Close to everything you could need. Staff was helpful and friendly.

Everything about this hotel is great. We always stay here for a short stay. A little pricey compared to other hotels in the area, but the rooms are large and have kitchens.

This was our second time staying here within 9 months. The bed in the room we had this time was very, very firm. It was like sleeping on the floor. We woke up very sore in the morning. That is my only complaint. The room is spacious and I love the little kitchen area. The breakfast was great. The hotel was quiet. It’s very conveniently located around restaurants and stores of all kinds.

The 2 bedroom suite is perfect and I have stayed here twice after having surgery. The staff is courteous and discreet. The accommodations are spotless and would be great for longer stays.

Room was beautiful and staff were extremely accommodating. Bed and pillows were incredibly comfortable! Highly recommended. A friend stayed on the 1st floor close to the pool which was outdated and not as impressive as the 5th floors suites.

Friday I wasn't feeling well and wanted get some sleep but there was an annoying tapping sound that sounded like it was next door. I know you're under construction but I thought that was on the 4th floor. Needless to say I didn't get the rest I needed. This is the first time I was disappointed at TownePlace.

Room was comfortable and well appointed. Staff was courteous and helpful. Breakfast was good but felt a bit recycled. Hot coffee and water 24/7 is good to have. Parking was well lit and convenient. Hotel signs indicated a remodel is coming - this will be nice as many of tumor fixtures and carpet felt dated. Would stay here again.

Room wasn’t clean. Asked for a room on lower floor was given top floor. Employees constantly hanging out in the lobby with guests that “live” in the hotel and were loud all the time. Do not recommend if you want a quiet, peaceful, relaxing stay.

Great Place to stay

We got a 2 bedroom suite. One bedroom the side of the bed looked like someone ejaculated on the side of the bed skirt. We asked for it to be changed and the lady at the front desk with a smirk said it would be "big task", and would take awhile to do. When we got back to our room, they had taken the bed skirt off the bed, and never remade the bed leaving us wondering how clean the bedding was. Later that night a strong smell of marijuanna was coming through the ceiling vent blowing into the room. Called the front desk for someone to come smell the room, someone came up to the floor spraying air freshner, never came to the room until i opened the door and yelled down the hall and asked him to come in and smell. Explained to him my 2 year old son should not be breathing it in, especially not being 100% sure what the smell was. Long story short, my family was seperated into another room on top floor so my son wasnt breathing in whatever was coming through the vents, as my boyfriend had already starting getting a bad headache and not feeling well from it. Also, the pool was out of comission without us knowing and when asked what time it was opened until we were told 10pm. Upon trying to being our son swimming and him being excited to go, we found out it was closed and it was disgustingly green, almost black looking. The evening from desk staff was amazing with trying to help us, thankful for him!

The fitness center had the best elliptical. The accommodations were extremely clean - love the kitchen suite with big refrigerator and microwave. Will come again.

Great service by the lady at reception last night. She was pleasant and made us feel welcome. Also the shuttle early morning worked out great.

We stayed in a suite w/2 queens. Very spacious with kitchenette that included good counter space, and a large refrigerator. Very appetizing breakfast. Not a big fan of the bathroom sink area separate from the shower, but otherwise very good.

Although the hotel seemed nice and people were great…my room..316… was run down, dark, small…and the view out the window was of the rusty corroded part of the building. The bed was very comfortable…but the couch was run down, small, uncomfortable. There were several areas around the base of the floor and shower that needed repair. There was no comfortable chair to sit in. It was just not up to the quality I expected and paid for.

This was a great stay. We were joined by family who also enjoyed the days at your hotel. The pool was a wonderful plus, with grandkids honing their swimming skills and making memories with cousins.

The holidays impacted the service, which I expected but they didn’t come once in my four days to take trash out or change linen. It was the holidays so I understand but I just figured they would come once. Also, the bed killed my back but I always have this issue no matter where I stay. Lovely breakfasts and very nice staff.

The staff and hotel were great. The room was space and very clean. The only issue I have was I was charged $11.00 for 3 very small bags of chips from the front desk area “store”. These chips are $1.00-$1.50 at the most. I’m partially to blame because I did not ask the price, but it is very unfortunate that a hotel of this quality would take advantage of a guest. These items are supposed to be there for guest convenience, not to make outrageous profits Especially in such tough economic times.

Great customer service but when we arrived shortly after 5 pm, our room was not ready. So we were given another room - only to find it being cleaned. We ended up waiting in the lobby for about 15 minutes. (Check-in is at 3.) Beyond that, our stay was nice. Spacious rooms and nice layout.

There for a 4 night stay. As there were three of us in the room, we requested daily refreshing. We were told there would be no problem. Wound up only refreshing room once.

We came to Albany for choral concert for my son at Siena college. We chose this hotel for our stay, we had my youngest son with us too. So four of us in a double queen suite was perfect. The hotel is very clean and even smells clean in the hallways. The room was very clean and updated. I would definitely stay here again.

Housekeeping and maintenance seem minimal. Room floor carpet and tiled areas were filthy. Walking barefooted and then stepping into shower with water on floor the dirt from bottom of feet ran dark gray. Toilet bowl porcelain scarred gray from improper use of snake. Looked nasty

The TV services are somewhat overwhelming and difficult to use. Would have liked a hot tub in pool area and the pool water was a little on the chilly side. Breakfast service was excellent with good variety and helpful staff. Only issue I had was the scrambled eggs tasted like they were made with powdered eggs. Overall we were very happy with this facility, its location and friendly, engaging staff.

We has a quick, one night stay at this hotel, but for our growing family of 5, the two bedroom suite (with a pullout couch) allowed for us all to have a comfortable place to sleep! The location is great as well, very easy to get to and was very clean. Would definitely recommend to other travelers!

This hotel is conveniently located near many restaurants and a short drive to the Crossgates mall. The breakfast was quick and easy and the hotel was quiet and comfortable for sleeping.

We had a nice, quiet one night stay . We did not use the pool but used the fitness room and the machinery was in good shape. Breakfast was OK for my husband, he wasn’t fond of the egg choices. I am Gluten Free and when I last stayed a couple of years ago there wasn’t a lot of choices for me. I suggested they start providing GF muffins and they listened… they were there this time!❤️ I appreciate the attention.

The room was a perfect size, clean and comfortable. Only downside was the condition of the bathroom. It had stained walls, broken mirror, and half used toilet paper.

I had to spend a night on my way to Canada and this place was perfect. Breakfast was included. Love it!

The beds were not comfortable, the bathroom was tiny and not particularly clean. There was garbage left from the previous guest under the kitchen sink. Oh, and the check in staff member told me I was essentially stupid for booking thru Expedia because I would get a much better deal going direct. All in all, nothing catastrophic, but if I had to stay in the area again I would look for a different property.

Plus, the vinyl plank floors were sticky. 100% understand being understaffed, but maybe at least come empty trash and refresh towels over a 3 night stay?

Horrible front desk service. Problem with reservation and was told "don't shoot the messenger". She did NOTHING to help us. We had a eldery disabled man withand they let us sit for over 3 hours trying to fix the issue with the booking company. WILL NEVER STAY HERE AGAIN!!! .

We stayed in a 2 bedroom suite and it was a great spacious room with a full kitchen and large bedrooms and bath. Room was very clean and fully stocked with all the amenities plus some that you wouldn't expect! I was very pleased! I'd recommend this location!

I wasn't expecting much because of the location and low price but pleasantly surprised. It looked like the room was recently redecorated and everything was new, clean and in perfect working order. Also the staff were the most sincerely helpful and cheerful I've ever met! I will definitely be staying there again on my next trip to Albany!

Hotel is amazing you do get what you pay for made up like a studio apartment on the inside of the room if you have small kids this hotel will be the perfect fit comes with stove, microwave, refrigerator, and dishwasher… sofa bed in some rooms nice big bathroom areas just a five star overall and they also serve breakfast

Front desk ladies were welcoming and friendly. We had not slept in over 24 hrs due to flying in from CA. Super exhausted they got us checked in quickly. Our room had a kitchen that was very convenient for the few days we stayed and the hotel offers kitchen appliances which was a plus. The breakfast had a good variety and the environment was nice and clean. Our shower didn't have much pressure but overall our stay was great. Will stay again.

Although the staff was cordial, the room itself requires a deep clean! There was hair on the towels and in the bed. The bathroom needs a deep cleaning as well. Hair in the corners and on the sink. The bathroom door had a dried substance that had dropped down the door. Seriously the entire room needs a deep cleaning.

We had a great experience at this property! We were flying out of Albany and this location provided a free shuttle at 4am, I have been to other hotels that offer a shuttle but it doesn't start until later :( The reception area was clean, the staff was friendly and the parking was very accessible. We did a park and fly and we felt very comfortable leaving our car there as the parking lot was well lighted and we did not have to park off in no-man's land where it wouldn't be seen. We would Definitely recommend this property!!!

I would have preferred not to stay on the first floor, especially near the laundry facility and maintenance room as well as next to an exit. I would also not recommend staying in a hearing impaired/accessible suite unless that is what you need. I'm not sure how we ended up in one. The noise of the doors closing is very loud. That being said, it was very quiet at night and would recommend this hotel.

The entire team was so nice and accommodating. Breakfast was more than continental! Target and Denny’s are both walking distance. It was a good experience overall & I plan to go back.

Every inch of the property is clean. Staff is very friendly...location is right in the neighborhood where I grew up.

The property is in a great location as it is surrounded by Target, DSW, ULTA, TJ MAXX, and many other amazing stores. I just hope they are a little more careful in observing the bedsheets. Finding that on the second night made me feel as though I slept on sheets that were not washed from the previous hotel guests. I hope they read this review and it never happens again.

Stayed at the Latham TownePlace Suites for two weeks when visiting the NY Capital Region. The first room I was given stank of Cigerette smoke, but thankfully this was rectified by great staff by a room change, many apologies and free rein of the hotel shop for whatever I needed for an evening! The second room was just fine, and once I was there it were comfortable and clean, and a joy to return to after a busy day exploring the area. The shower was good as well, but noticed that the water has started to affect the wood around the frame, as well as the shower door would just open randomly whilst the shower was in use, so it may be time for a revamp?! The breakfast buffet was plentiful, in a very relaxed atmosphere. Appreciated the free coffee and fruit to go, this is such a perk at staying at the TownePlace Suites! As I say, the staff were excellent at Latham. Plus the hotel is surrounded by amenties (Subway, Denny's, Sonic, Sake (Asian Cuisine) to name just a few!). There is also a Target just the otherside of the car lot, plus other stores are not too far away away either so an excellent location to get stuff when you need it to cook in the room. Overall, I had a good stay at TownePlace Suites Latham Albany, and I very much look forward in staying there again sometime.

Staff was friendly and helpful. Our room was clean and well kept - a bit of an odd odor upon entry, not intolerable, just noticeable, but with a little fabric refresher, all was well. Furniture was clean and comfortable. A very enjoyable one-night stay. Have been to this facility many times and will continue to look to them first as the need arises in the future.

Wouldn’t stay here again. Staff treated me like a child, I know I am young but it doesn’t give someone the right to talk to me like I can’t understand the English language. Also, when I was checking in the woman complained about me booking through Expedia because their system always has problems with it I guess? The whole experience was off-putting, I would not recommend.

Overall, it was good. Would like a king size bed in one of the two bedrooms and two bathrooms or a bigger bathroom if sharing. Front desk was very nice and when I needed bedding for the pull out sofa it was brought up immediately. Breakfast was good and area was clean and neat.

They told us we were out of toilet paper, then we had to find our own in a public restroom in the hotel. They did give us tissues to use instead. They did not clean our room our whole stay and we even requested it. We had to complain until we got clean towels and leave our garbage bags in the hallway for someone to get them. We had to clean and make our own beds. Had to go into the laundry room to get a clean pillow case. It was a horrible stay. We believe the mama hart was overwhelmed and there were multiple complains throughout the weekend for other families as well.

This was the second Christmas Eve we have spent here. It’s a nice hotel. The customer service wasn’t fantastic but wasn’t bad either. Just kind of an “I don’t care” attitude. The woman setting up the breakfast buffet was VERY nice and apologetic for being out of a few things unexpectedly. The room was nice but a little cramped for a 2 br suite. The bathroom was EXTREMELY small, to the point where you almost need to step into the bathtub to open the door. Not acceptable for a suite, in my opinion. When you pay a premium for a larger room, I would expect a larger bathroom as well.

Beware of hidden fees. They charge a high fee for pets. You only learn of this in the fine print and have to click through a couple of pages to find it.

My daughter loved the pool and we loved the convenience of a kitchenette in our room including a dish washer! I liked the hotel so much I decided to book a stay at the one in Brooklyn NY for my NYC trip this weekend.
