It was an inexpensive and convenient location and the room we had was quite large and had a sleeper sofa, and the staff was friendly. But cleanliness was not good. Im not a picky person in general but there were noticeable stains on the bedding and towels and a layer of dust and grime on pretty much everything else that most hotels we've been to at least make an attempt to clean up. The beds had very little actual bedding. No comforters to be found basically just a paper thin sheet and decorative topper and we were cold most of the night. There was no hot food at the breakfast mostly just bagels and some very basic cereal, instant coffee, etc. Basically just very obviously run down hotel. It was acceptable for something cheap for the one night we were there, but wouldn't stay here again.

This was not a pleasant experience. We had booked this place for a 2 niggt stay, but we only ended up staying 1 night The room was basically in an abandoned area & building under renovations. We had to drive around the other side from the isolated parking lot from the 1 story building where we were to go to the main office building to go get anything if needed, including where the supposed continental breakfast is supposed to take place, & looked more like a very small counter area with vending machine. Not welcoming or inviting. We even took pictures. This place should not be called or considered an “Inn”..It’s really more of a “Motel”…the property overall very fragmented & the parking lot full of pot holes, the minute we went into the one floor empty building we were encountered with strong weed smoke, the entrance door to the building was not locked. It felt very unsafe. The area surrounding the property was dirt with garbage debris all around. The bathroom had no place to put anything on a counter or vanity. The lady check-in attendant said this was a newly remodeled room. However they missed the mark with their inconvenient bathroom design (since no where to put your stuff). We couldn’t spend not 1 more night in this place, & had to book another hotel/Inn Igor our second niggt tgat; very same day, with a financial inconvenience. As we needed to stay in the area for a family emergency situation. This should be rated as a MOTEL AND NOT BE CALLED “A QUALITY INN”

. I booked a room with 2 Queen Beds and was given a room with 1 Queen bed. Their reasoning was that the room was in a "newer" part of the hotel, but I didnt see any difference in the two buildings they were referring to, the entire hotel seems quite old. I believe they could'nt provide the room I was booked for and decided to give me whatever they had and expected me to deal just with it. They were'nt even professional enough to offer me some other kind of accomodation as a courtesy. I will not stay there again

A layer of ice on hotel main entrance steps. The room had chunks out of the finish on all 3 pieces excluding the bed. The tv didn’t work and when I contacted the front desk the attendant simply said sorry. I mentioned to the clerk that the hotel seemed very rundown. I requested a room change fora room with a tv that worked but I had to go back and forth with keys into 0 degree weather as my room was in a separate building. Breakfast was very limited. Pretty much cereal, bagel or waffles with very watered down batter so the inside was mush. I would prefer sleeping in my car to ever staying in this hotel again.

DO NOT STAY at this hotel unless you are a homeless crackhead who enjoys the lesser things in life. The rooms are extremely dated and dirty and I can guarantee you will NOT be comfortable. Parking was good, however there are several spotlights shining onto the parking lot, and also directly into the rooms. the bed was god awful, but the pull out was even worse! the hallway smelled super strong of curry, it was loud (especially car doors and stuff all night). the only perk was the jetted tub, but even that, we nearly burned our fingers off with how hot the water came out of the spout. there were no privacy curtains, only the light blocking ones, and our room was right at the parking lot. the toilet made some awful noises when flushed. the ceiling in part of the lobby was literally falling apart and it was very outdated, but did the job for one night.

I typically do not write reviews, but after our stay, I feel compelled to share my experience to help others in the decision to stay at this location. The pictures online are deceiving. The room we stayed in was on the first floor to the left of the lobby. My first impression was the strong odor of marijuana in the hallway. Even my small children noticed the overpowering smell. The room was large and seemed okay until we turned the lights on. Lampshades were peeling, falling apart, above our heads when we were sitting in the beds. The drapes were hanging out of place on the window so we couldn’t close them. The beds were extremely uncomfortable and the bathroom had black mold growing above the bathtub ceiling. The cover to the bathroom light was missing. There was no coffee maker in the room as advertised online and in the photos. Basic amenities such as the ice machine in the hallway were not available and no hair dryer in the room. Furniture in room appeared to be very outdated from the 90s with stains on the couch and chairs in rooms. We only sat on the bed sheets it was so disgusting. We have stayed in many hotels in the Colonie/ Latham NY area and this is by far the dirtiest and worst hotel. When we were leaving the foreign housekeeper had the nerve to beg me for a tip? Major renovations and basic amenities are needed. The other Quality Inn in Colonie is cheaper and much nicer. Even the Econo Lodge in Colonie or the Howard Johnson are a very nice compared to this hotel.

I booked this hotel thinking if I paid more money and the photos looked good and it had a pool that it would better. NOT!!! I paid $450 for 2 nights. Upon arrival I checked in was told that I am in the new building. I was told that the pool was not open and I understood that it had not been used for a long time! As I had a long drive and was very hungry I went to put my bags in the room and wanted to go eat somewhere. Walking across the parking lot to the entrance to the building where my room was, and parked next to me in front of the entrance was a man lying stretched out in the driver's seat smoking cigarettes and pot. That was not such the problem. The windows of the car were broken and he looked homeless. As other men walking around the parking lot appeared to be homeless as well. I dumped my bags and went to eat. When I came back a couple of hours later, the man was still there in the car smoking. I walked into the room and immediately was struck by the moldy smell if the air conditioner. I went to open the large sliding window and there wasca latch but no lock, which could be easily opened from the outside and burglarized as the room was on the ground floor. I went to the front desk and explained and demanded a different room but on the second floor. I asked for a room in the main building where the front desk was and was told that I would not like the rooms there as other buildi

I think a lot of laborers stay here as there were single men wandering the property at all hours and that made me slightly uncomfortable. Think of it as a motel but with indoor rooms versus outdoor entrances.

If you are looking for a quiet property, skip this one. They have “long term” guests who who party all night and let there small children run and yell until the wee hours of the morning. Parties go on until 1-3 AM. Spend an extra $50 and stay elsewhere.

I was given a room on the second floor, no elevator, very unclean stairs, the room looked okay at first glance… then I noticed the furniture was chipped in many places, the wipes I used sanitize a bit were filthy from all the places I wiped off, the sheets had specks on them, the floor felt damp… and the latch to entrance was rigged to stay unlocked… I called the desk to say I had to leave… so I lugged all the things I lugged up the stairs down again… the gutter directly under the exit door created an unavoidable waterfall… needless to say, I got soaked. The guy at the desk would not give me a refund; he said I had to go through Expedia… I asked for some proof that I didn’t stay there, and he said that Expedia would know… he also told me the room was “newly remodeled” and said the furniture was all new. I told him to go take a look…see for himself. This all happened after a day of driving… Then I had to find another hotel… I would expect a full refund. Thank you.

The building is unfortunately in a state of terrible disrepair. There are signs up that renovations are underway, but no sign of any. Torn carpets in the hallways, sticky spills in the elevator, stained furniture and linens in the guest rooms, very elderly looking, scant breakfast buffet. Definitely seen better days.

This property was horrendous. Broken windows , screens hanging out, Our building was separate from the lobby. We checked in late there was no secure door to the rooms , the deadbolt was missing, the safety lock on inside didnt work and the door was visibly damaged from being pried open. We left immediately. No one in lobby to check us out or to complain to. So we left .

I was very discouraged to know that the door leading to the B building had the latch taped over so that the door would not secure. When I asked about it I was told that this is so guests could get in. The problem is that ANYONE could get in. Our room door itself had no strike plate- the frame had no hardware in it at all. The security deadbolt did not work. The bedspreads had snags in them, the floor had two different types of boards with a metal lip separating them- we were surprised no one stubbed their toe on it. Despite the very helpful and friendly front desk person, I would tell others that this hotel looked like a rushed construction that did not meet quality control inspections.

Upon first walking in there was 2 ladies complaining that they found a dead mouse on their bed, to which the 2 gentleman at the front desk told them to keep it down. Part of the entranceway ceiling is falling apart. One of our headboards was broken as well as what looks like, cigarette burns in our bed sheets. Upon entering the room there was a smell of like body odor or something that we couldnt get rid of. The curtain only half covered the window so we also had rhe light shining in our room all night. We were only staying to get a few hours of sleep before we got back on the road. We needed to get some quick sleep so we stayed but wouldnt recommend.

i read a lot of reviews saying it was filthy, but i don't always believe those and i needed a cheap overnight hotel after a flight that got in close to midnight. you could tell it was pretty old. i don't think it was particulary dirty per se, i think it was more that everything was so old it looked a little dirty. however, my room was very nice - a king bed in a roomwith a sitting room and it was clean. the entryway looked a bit updayted and was clean, the breakfast was only cereal, toast, yogurt or a tangerine - not exactly what they listed. the people were all very nice though

What a waste of money. Not kept up, hallway floors looks like dead bodies were dragged through them. Room was disgusting, carpet bubbled up, beds and bathroom dirty. The shower DID NOT EVEN HAVE WARM WATER! hotel refused to do anything about it so we had to leave early as we had a multiple night stay and had to pay additional for another room. You get what you pay for that’s for sure!!!! Beware before considering booking. Also non stayers were in the lot taking down 40 ozs and the breakfast was subpar.

The rooms appeared to be recently refurbished. Clean and fresh. Two comments: 1) The lobby area needs some attention. The carpeting needs to be replaced, for example. 2) There needs to be a desk-lamp on the desk/table in the rooms. There is not enough light otherwise. Thank you and I will look forward to staying there again in the future. Best, DGB

We arrived at this property and our reservation "was lost." The person at the front desk says this happens often with Expedia reservations. Upon arrival a police vehicle pulled up behind us and two officers went to a room. The lobby smelled like cigarettes. You could hear music playing from rooms and see people stumbling around in the hallways. Since the reservation "was lost" we called Expedia and they relocated us to another much nicer and safer property at the price of the original booking. This place does not look like the pictures. It resembles a hotel that cities use for people in housing crises. DO NOT BOOK HERE.

The stay was the worst i ever had, place was not the cleanest, the bathroom door got stuck on the one side, the bathroom switch for the light hardly worked, the walls looked like never cleaned. It was just not what i expected. Roof had leaks in it. Thank god i was only there a few hrs JUST TO GET SLEEP before driving back home. I will never stay again. Oh, and I heard water kick on and off all night. Plus no smoking that was a joke, too all you smelt was pot thru out the place

I was catfished the photos online look nothing like the hotel. Ceiling falling down, leaking dirty water in the lobby, with buckets to catch the water. Dirty is an understatement, stains on everything. Dead bugs in bathroom. Dirt Rings around inside of toilet bowl. It smelled like musk and cigarettes, someone was smoking in the hallway, Ice machine was broken. Gym had two broken machines. Breakfast was muffins, cereal and juice, place was so dirty, we did not want to eat anything unwrapped. Staff was non-chalant about all complaints. Do not recommend at all. Worse than a cheap motel. Will never return, do not stay there.

The minute we walked in to check in we were met with such rude and snarky attitude from the receptionist who led us the wrong way to our room. Once we finally made our way to our room it reeked of rotting food and musty socks. The couch in this so called suite was dingy and looked like its seen better days. The bathroom was old and run down with black streaks in the toilet and an ancient hair dryer that started SMOKING when I finally got it to work. The carpet was torn up ans dirty and the bed frame was broken on one side. Its a disgrace to name this place the "Quality Inn" when it is anything but. This place should honestly just shut down.

The door to get into my separate building was shattered and looked like a bullet hole went through it. Graffiti all over the landscaping bricks. The main building where the office was located looked like it was renovated by a diy person. TV didn’t work and nobody could figure it out. Breakfast was terrible. It was basically a continental breakfast but they called it a hot breakfast because they had a pancake machine. Awful experience and I am still waiting to get a refund since I paid for a room that I didn’t even get. A family that was supposed to stay couldn’t because there was not room.
