For a budget vegas stay, the Shalimar was decent. In a decent area, and ubers averaged $15-$20 to the Venetian for reference over the weekend. I would stay here again if other places were more expensive.

Photos online are completely different than the room we stayed in. Roaches all over the floor, the fish tank in the lobby was almost black, and pool was very green.the bedsheets weren't washed and the entire building was very smelly.

I didn’t expect anything more being this place felt more like a Motel. It was clean though. Staff were very nice.

This is an older motel, but updated. The staff was very cordial and helpful. The only problem we found was that there were not enough places to charge our electronics. Luckily, I brought a 3 outlet plug.

I didn’t even know there was breakfast, the parking lot was spacious and it felt safe enough to leave the car for my 4 day stay while traveling in Las Vegas, the room was clean but the halls ways smelt like straight tobacco, but it was also very secure you could not enter the hall ways to the room with out key card access so I felt safe. The staff were very helpful when I needed supplies like toilet paper and towels. The cleaning staff were nice when they would see us walk out the room they would ask if we needed a cleaning in the room. Also I did not get the room I reserved for which was for a king bed, I did request for it to have a pool view access and away from the street to avoid traffic noise so that might’ve been the issue but otherwise there was always hot water running so no issues there.

The next day as we were checking out another staff member came and alerted us that it was check out time, then he actually waited for us to grab all the things we were packing, so we weren't able to finish packing at all, then escorted us out the door I felt it was un-necessary, especially knowing my spouse is blind an can not really hurry. I thought I found a motel I would use often but now I really don't know

Nothing actually Very bad smell in the room. A LOT OF dust in the room. Questionable cleanliness… WiFi not working - and reception not helpful. Scary elevator - use the stairs, but strange smell is there.

Very long story short, they did give me the correct amount back of $30 after all that. Would I stay there again? Probably not!

Coffee machine didn't work.. Fridge was dang too cold froze my drinks. And the legs on fridge didn't have adjustment so it was propped up by something. Tv channels was BAD, didn't have more than 5 channels.

The rooms are not very private. There is about 6 ft wide window that's floor to ceiling on the exterior wall. You can hear everyone outside. TV was broken. The phone in the room was broken so I couldn't call the front desk to tell them the TV was broken. The staff was friendly and very helpful. Overall, I believe there are better options not far from the strip that probably in the same price range.

It was so nice to check in and using the tools on the app have the room prepaid with no deposit. A woman was yelling for her dog/ or child at 8 in the morning. The quality of the in-room coffee, but the staff gave us info on a really good coffee shop called Dig it.

the swimming pool hours are terrible, 9am-6pm?

The beds were hard, they dipped in the middle, only 1 blanket provided and the lighting wasn’t great.

The staff quick response and action to problem. Hotel was clean and greatly priced. Quiet in the evening for rest. I slept well.

There was no breakfast available with my stay. The booking reservartion situtation was confising I wanted to pay at the property and the card I used to hold room was charged, even when I tried to pay at the property at the desk with another card. Communication i know it was a busy holiday

The front desk staff was very friendly, when I asked if we could get a room with a pool view and she did her best to accomodate us even though it was a busy weekend. The motel is also in a great location, close to all the spots we wanted to visit. Would stay here again!

Everything was fine. All the workers are super nice and helpful, even came to my room and fixed the tv. The pool was super clean but I didn’t use. The ac is very loud.

The only reason we booked a single night here was because the hotel/motel was close to the strip First of all, the property feels and smells old. It could use an overall improvement. We were told there was cable TV, but only four channels seemed to work. We called the front desk and sent two workers who had no idea why this might happen. It is very disappointing as TV is a massive source of entertainment when indoors. The 2nd issue was the room's AC unit, which was as loud as a diesel truck regardless of the setting, and the small refrigerator kept making this popping noise every 10-15 minutes. Overall, it was not a good night; we could not sleep, either too hot or too cold. On our next visit to Las Vegas, we will pay double the price for a decent night. As the saying goes, “You get what you paid for!”

First night they put me in a first floor room where the AC was extremely loud, there were outlets on the bed side wall, some of the lights didn't work, the safe was broken, and overall a dump. The second night I stayed on the second floor and it was decent but I had guests I met there that had been there for a week and couldn't afford another night until a check was delivered the next day. All went okay except the Romanians were not getting along well as the wife and husband were in an abusive relationship and were yelling a lot. We came home from the casino at 2am and the husband was yelling outside in the parking lot and then in the room. I told him to shut up or we'd be kicked out. The night was quiet and the following morning I had a friend coming over and told them they had until 8am to leave and then the bitching and moaning started again and was very loud and probably woke up the neighbors. I attempted to stay another night the was told I'm banned from the hotel but was never warned about noise. Apparantly the hotel didn't like these Romanian gypsies and I got screwed over trying to be a good person and help them out for a night. Good thing they showed their true colors as I had invited them over for a week to my house for Easter and it would have been a nightmare and I would have kicked them out on the street most likely. Oh well whenever I attempt to help people in Lost Vegas it does not turn out well. Cheers Understanding and communicative staff

The property was the best price but many of the immediate lots are demolished, closed etc and have a large amount of homeless. the facility left much to be desired. The staff was fine aside from the cleaner who walked in well after my check in time while i was changing. never found found the remote and many of the plugs did not work nor did the internet consistently work.

I would not recommend this place as even a homeless shelter or hostel. I stayed out until 3am and not in the Vegas way of gambling and partying and slept in my car over going back in. Going back into that dark, dank, dirty, outdated hotel filled with stained carpets, marijuana drenched hotel was not an option. Last but not least no one should check in a room where there are dirty clothes and blood on the floor.

The person at the desk was nice. The facility itself was filthy. We went and bought sheets because the place was gross. We wiped stuff down with Lysol sheets and they were full of grime. You get what you pay for.

Way overpriced for what you got. The beds were so uncomfortable that it was literally painful to sleep in them. The whole hotel smelled like stale cigarettes and dust. The staff was super friendly but there just wasnt anything else that was even decent about this place.

Place was old, dirty and unkept. Thank goodness we brought flip flops because the floor was filthy! There were no available plugs to charge phones, iPads or computers. My husband sleeps with a c-pap and there was nowhere to plug it in! Beds were hard and no blankets. Just sheets and a shawl at the foot of the bed. Pillows were good! water pressure in shower great, but I almost fell because the tub sloped down and no mat in it. I had to put the only hand towel in the tub so I wouldn't fall. Only one bath cloth also. Only 1 coffee pod. The room was set up with 2 queen beds but everything else was set up for 1 person. I went to lobby where they had a restaurant and asked for coffee and they said no coffee in here. I paid for the basic amenities and didn't get any of it. Even the Wifi kept shutting off. They should put on advertisement that the pool is under construction!!! It was 106 from morning till night.

This place was not mantainef. Pool had stuff floating in it, just felt gross. We walked across the floors and are feet turned black. The beds in our room had no top sheets, when requested them they came stained and with cigarette holes in them. Management did nothing to resolve or refund.

Rooms are clean. Arlet the front desk person was very helpful and excellent. The housekeeper, unfortunately I didn’t know her name, she does way beyond excellent. The only thing I’m not happy about was, it’s so much homeless people around and kinda scary. But, when you are in a budget, this hotel is good enough.

This is an old building, but things are kept in good order- staff is friendly and helpful.

In order to book in earlier that 2 pm they(hotel manager or owner) told me for 30 dls more I can book in early plus 130 per night ,so I was so tired to drive early and have to be on sharp at 6pm that accepted but I don't thik this is very ethic,and end up pay 160 per night,next time won't booking in that place.

Not a safe place

The front desk staff was very courteous. The room were clean and its a decent spot if you want to be on the strip on a budget.

But, I was able to have my dog. So I guess that’s a bonus.

I liked everything

I was almost afraid to book after reading reviews. Property is worth the price. It was decent… clean, quiet, and very secure. Not bad at all for low budget motel.

It was very dirty, the sheets on the beds were torn and had cigarette burns. The walls were dirty. The tv wouldnt work. We left within an hour of arriving. We got charged for 1 day, would not give a full refund.

I didn't like the fact of roaches being around the floor was dirty. I had to clean up a mess and their white towel was black by the time i was done cleaning my mess. Charged for a service dog. Also I liked the fact we had a patio but the bay doors were very weak.

Upon arrival we were greeted warmly and courteously by a young female attendant. I do not remember her name but she was wonderful. Once we checked in we found our accommodations average, but when we sat on the bed we noticed it was exceptionally old and offered no support. My spouse went to shower after we had been traveling all day and found one of the towels stained with what appeared to be make up. We brushed it off and went about our visit. The young lady at the front desk was helpful in acquiring us 2 extra pillows and an iron and ironing board. It functioned, but the iron was broken and probably should have been replaced. The next day we asked housekeeping for some new towels when they serviced the room. They said no problem and we did receive a new towel, but it too was stained with what appeared to be coffee or make up and the bed was left unmade. We completed our stay and were checked out smoothly. The service and hospitality at the venue was top notch, but there definitely needs to be some maintenance done.

Room was clean and neat. Microwave didn’t work. Nothing fancy but overall is good. Only three flors and there’s an elevator for your convenience. Or you can use stairs. Small patio and outside pool.

First room they put us in the smelled like smoke when the room was suppose to smoke free. The second room, every time the toilet flushed, water underneath the tiles close to it risen. There were a only a few outlets where only one end table lamp was able to used. Tv did not output any sound but a buzzing sound only. The mattress left side springs were damaged causing a person to sink in the middle. Overall it was a bad experience.

The first room they gave me was completely filthy, and look like something you would see in a horror movie… The rugs were all saturated with stains, walls had holes and were dirty and it smelled like black mold… They moved me to another room, which had no sheets or blankets everything was laying on the floor, and it was filthy… They gave me a third room that had a balcony that was covered in three years of pigeon poop and had five pigeons living in it so it was uninhabitable… Then we found a cockroach in the bathtub… I requested a refund and I was forced to book a room at a more expensive hotel

Sahara is an awesome resort

Honestly it’s totally fine. It’s the cheapest way to be close to the strip and not pay a fortune. Easy access, quick check in, quiet really and easy parking. Loved it for the price.

The restaurant is closed. Breakfast is NOT included. And we had dirty towels and even dirtier floors. Wouldn’t stay here again.
