    Once we checked in our floor was had a terrible smell very foul and making me sick, they had a fan in place which was making it worse. I checked out within hours of being there. Never again!

    I got a premiere suite with 2 queen beds. It is very spacious. The rooms, hallways, and casino floor was very clean. The staff was friendly. I definitely wasn't expecting the room to be so nice because the price was VERY reasonable for a suite in Las Vegas. The pools were SO nice and clean.

    Check in was easy, staff was very friendly, our room was very clean but the refrigerator was broken and that was fixed promptly but we were on the 19th floor and the Air Conditioner barely worked and when I mentioned it to staff they said it was just because it was so hot outside.. it was 108 this weekend. So, I would not recommend staying on a high floor if it's a scorcher outside. Sleeping in that heat was miserable and if I was staying longer I would have switched rooms.

    Also, pools are not clean at all, people just eat drink in them. Not sure what are the rules and the lifeguards do besides not much but kids run everywhere scream nobody gives a F.. of who is around them in the pool just play ball or splash each other. Regardless of their surroundings. Most of it is bad parenting. Staff outside for Valet or at front desk don’t seem to be happy to work there at all! And in my opinion if you are to offer snacks in the room and bottles of water at least make it affordable for everyone, this way you might sell more!! Who is going to pay 75$ for M&M’s and cookies!

    I had no air-conditioning in my room the first night I had to move at 1 AM in the morning to another room in which both nights were so loud with the neighbor next-door slamming the door that I got no sleep. It was a very poor experience the only thing that was nice was the room was nice and big.

    I made many request to have my television fixed as it did not work for two of the three days that I was there. Every time we called the front desk, I was actually getting an AI attendant named Rita. Rita was not able to remember my multiple request and it was so very frustrating after making several complaints and asking for a remedy. I went to the front lobby and the front desk person told me to just wait.It's been over two weeks since my stay and I still have not been contacted (as Rita told me) there has been no human interaction. Zero follow up or communication from Rio Rita.

    Check in staff was rude and unhelpful after my four hour drive and when I asked for what I paid for high floor strip view the best they can do was 12th floor out of 20 and when I asked to get a higher view they downgrade me for the same price an older building with a higher floor when I looked online the price for stay there was significantly lower! 7$ a night and I paid renovated price I was back and forth three times and staff made me feel bad for asking for what I paid for.

    My room was clean, spacious and refurbished, as promised. The bed was new, the linens clean and crisp. I requested extra hangers and extra towels as I was staying 9 nights, these arrived in my room before I returned from reception. Minor annoyances included that the plug in the sink did not work correctly, the exhaust fan in the bathroom was not connected and/or did not work, the TV did not work, and the telephone did not work (in fact it was not even attached to an outlet). I don't watch TV or use the room phone so I only noticed those things on the second to last day and didn't really care. The fire alarm went off on my last day, Saturday June 6, at 7 am and despite a repeating message to stay put and stay calm and "more information" would follow, no more info ever did follow, so everyone just ignored it and carried on as normal after a while. My biggest complaint was the volume and quality of the music at the pool, incredibly loud, identical "boom boom" beat with older sampled songs overlaid. Requests for volume to be lowered were rejected. It was truly obnoxious and ruined my idea of relaxing at the pool most days. The Saturday DJ was even worse. on the rare occasions a full song that people recognized played, people danced and looked very happy. There is so much good music over the past 60 years. Why not play a variety of that? At a bearable volume? I just don't understand. Aside from that, the cost of the stay was reasonable, and good value.

    I traveled with my husband and kids and it was great overall. The hotel was clean and parking was no problem. The room was nice and clean as well. The only negative thing I would say about the stay was trying to get extra towels since we stayed for 2 days and only had 3 towels provided for a party of 4. No one ever came. Other than that everything was great and that is the reason for my high rating.

    Good location, very nice hotel, with nice casino. Room was clean and comfy with nice view. Checkin started wit ha surprise - we were asked to pay extra for city view even though we already booked it on Booking.com. This was resolved quickly. Garage was quite a walk from the hotel entrance. Checkout brought another surprise - $50 per-night resort fee extra that was not visible on Booking.com while booking (have screenshots). I plan to raise this with Booking.com as with that final price, we would have picked different hotel.

    Everything was closed on a Sunday, assuming they can’t afford to keep stuff open. Told me my room was unavailable after I booked it 2 months prior.. management told me rooms are not guaranteed that they’re a request. Half the pool was closed and water fall is shut off to save money. Elevators were very very dirty. Bathroom sink’s were clogged. Rooms showed a jacuzzi tub in the room. Not accurate. Staff was very rude.

    My favorite part of the Rio are the suite sized rooms, they're HUGE. Perfect for sharing. The upgraded suite had it's own dining room, living room with sofa bed and two bathrooms. The unsuited bathroom was luxurious with both, a shower and jacuzzi tub, double vanity. No complaints other than everything you buy there is very expensive!

    The room had a mildew type smell that was bothering and annoying. The room look great and clean otherwise but the smell made you worry about that. I think the smell had gotten into the carpet and drapes so was hard to get rid of. I liked the walk in shower, but it could Probably use a couple more grab bars for older people. The staff was great. Gift shop was very pricey. But we would most likely stay again.

    We stayed at the Rio from May 29-31st. Hotel was clean, spacious, and was everything we needed for our quick get away. We enjoyed the pool and bar. The Kitchen restaurant offers a good buffet breakfast. Next time in Vegas we will be returning.

    The size of the room and the casino and pool Arrived at 1130pm to check in waited an hour to get to the front desk. They tried saying they over booked that I needed to be on a waiting list which is bs because I bought through booking. So instead of the room I booked I got a different room which was bigger but only 1 king bed. As I stepped into the place it was a mess copper pipes exposed and dry wall and 100 pizza flyers all over. What a nice upgrade ha right!!! It did have a sick view of the strip. I was supposed to be in the newly renovated building but they put us in the 90s building. The staff was nice and friendly and they comped us a free night which was nice.

    I booked this stay in a remodeled room, and was very disappointed in how dirty the room was. When My friends and I first got to the hotel, parking was a pain to get. Walking into the casino it reeked of cigarets and check in takes forever, even with the kiosk. Our room was HOT when we got in, It was unbearable to be in there, while we were waiting for the AC to cool down the room. The refrigerator was on but didn't work, even with turning it down to minimum. No coffee maker or microwave. So we had no way to make anything in our room. Or keep leftovers either. The worse part of this stay was the cleanliness of the room. The bedding was DIRTY not just one pillow case or sheet, but OVER HALF of the bedding in the room had stains and holes in them. The rooms carpet looked as if it hadn't been vacuumed or cleaned in weeks. there were pieces of trash through out the room. The bathroom was a joke, The countertops had stains all over them. the shower had hair on the ceiling half pained over. and the floors were dirty. OVER ALL, I WOULD'D RECOMMEND THIS HOTEL!

So instead of the room I booked I got a different room which was bigger but only 1 king bed. As I stepped into the place it was a mess copper pipes exposed and dry wall and 100 pizza flyers all over. What a nice upgrade ha right!!! It did have a sick view of the strip. I was supposed to be in the newly renovated building but they put us in the 90s building. The staff was nice and friendly and they comped us a free night which was nice.

    Took over 1 hour and a half to check-in. Wasn't able to do self check because my room was available. When we did speak with the desk agent all the rooms where taken and had to settle for something way smaller. Room was poorly clean. The carpet was worn and damaged. Overall poor stay.

    The room was clean and came with a couch and a table. My little one was not feeling well after the turbulence so we got food and ate in the room and having the table and couch helped alot. The staff was nice and helpful. The breakfast was not great and very pricey. I suggest yo not get the breakfast. The casino was fine too. My kids really enjoyed the smoke free zone and the arcade.

    Our bathroom drainage was not working. We booked 2 queen bed and suite (1 room) and it was an issue because of the water wasn’t going on in drainage properly. Entire bathroom got wet in just 5 minutes of shower. Shower was not had good enough flow to do shower in 5 minutes and before that bathroom was flowing in water. We liked service, amenities and atmosphere for sure but bathroom shouldn’t like this especially if we booked suite for us. Experience was not great this time.

    Not ideal for families with kids or toddler. I booked for a renovated king suite with strip view but got a two queen beds suite and we could barely see the strip from our room! Didn't need a two queen bed rather have the space. Rooms are just painted not quite renovated and the sewage smell from the shower drain was disgusting! If you're a single or family who gamble a lot this might be a place for you...

    We enjoy staying here. The parking is free and it is easy to get to. The newly remodeled rooms are nice. The 180 degree rooms are our favorite, however they show signs of extreme wear. Our first 180 room had a shower door that wouldn't close without lifting it as the wall was crumbling underneath the wallpaer and paint, and the jetted tub would not turn on. We have had similar problems at other Las Vegas casino hotels as well. The view at night with all of the curtains open make it worth the money!

    Highly recommend calling, prior to booking, to make sure no events are happening at there convention center and no elevator issues. Had to wait 45 minutes to an 1.5 hours to get back into room due to one side of the elevators were working. No one was working the front desk. We had nothing to do with the event at the convention center.

    II can't believe the terrible experience I had at the Rio during the volleyball tournament. I would have much preferred to stay at a different hotel with functioning elevators. As a disabled person who relies on a cane to move around, I was left waiting at the elevator for 20-30 minutes just to go up and down from my room because of the hotel's elevator problems. When I asked for assistance to bring supplies to my room after checking in, I was told that incoming guests had priority and that I would have to wait over an hour. The lack of staff support in this situation is unacceptable. How is it possible that a guest with a room already booked and disabled is left waiting for someone who is just checking in? This whole experience was completely unsatisfactory, and I have no intention of returning anytime soon.

    The elevators didn’t work, you had to wait over 20 minutes to go up or down. The AC wasn’t working and when I called them they just said “yeah it’s Las Vegas. It’s hot. We’re working on it” and they didn’t have portable fans to offer guest. Our shower drains smelled like sewer. When we got into our room, there were straws on the floor, so not cleaned from the previous guest.

    A lot of reviews stated the rooms were old and not well cleaned. We had a fully remodeled room in the Ipanema tower - the room was really nice, large, comfortable, and clean. Other reviews also stated check-in was difficult and staff were rude - neither of these were our experience. Check-in was quick and easy, and the staff member assisting us was very helpful and friendly. We also had an excellent dinner at the Luckley Tavern. The only reason I don't give this 5 stars is the Ipanema tower had almost half the elevators out of service. The number of elevators available was probably sufficient for typical traffic, but there was a large volleyball meet at the convention center, and there were certain times when all the teams were trying to use elevators at the same time. This caused huge backups with long lines to get onto an elevator. It was so bad that if you were on a middle floor and needed to go down, each elevator going down was full when it got to the middle level floor and you couldn't get on. Many of us just pressed the up button, were able to enter a mostly empty elevator up to the high floors, and stay in back to the bottom. Again, this only happened a few times during our stay, but when it did there were long delays. But overall the hotel was very nice and I would stay there again.

    To make matters worse, the air conditioning was not working properly, which made the stay extremely uncomfortable, especially in Las Vegas heat. The plumbing was also terrible, with slow drains and overall poor room maintenance that made the hotel feel outdated and neglected. A major Las Vegas resort should be able to manage weekend crowds and special events and maintain basic hotel functions, but this stay felt chaotic from start to finish. Between the broken elevators, bad AC, and plumbing issues, the experience seriously took away from the trip. I really hope Rio management addresses these problems because guests deserve much better.

    Loved the pool. Loved the spacious room on the 20th floor. But the plumbing needs maintenance a lot of random knocking from the pipes in our bathroom at all diffrent times. Corridor is nice except for a random wallpaper tear do to plumbing access.Not all Elevators are working long lines to get to your floor we hope they fix these issues we would definitely stay there again.     Been going to the Rio for over 20 years just like that it’s not on the strip and super Duper busy I like all the updates and the staff was extra friendly. Great stay again. The only issue I had was I don’t remember paying so much for a hotel fee if I was already paying for the hotel it was $50 a day so I was there for three days. It was $150. It’s a little steep.

    First off, I had a remodeled which still had an old room smell to it. The room also did not have any available coffee or water. The mattress was lumpy and the a/c would not cool down to a cold enough temperature to sleep in and was actually very humid because they probably use an older “swamp cooler” type system. I did not sleep well and was hot all nite. When I called to front desk or room service I was put through an AI asst and had to stay on hold for 30 min until a live person answered. Terrible experience. Would never stay again.

    Very nice updated hotel. Easy check process for me and was even offered early check for a small fee AND late check out with a small fee. Definitely took advantage of both offers and was a very nice addition I thought. Nice room we got the high floor king room with a strip view. Very clean and spacious. Only thing me and hubby didn't like was no microwave. We had to eat out as does anyone traveling to Las Vegas and no where to heat up my food. But overall very nice and comfortable stay.     I loved everything about this property. The casino was convenient downstairs and everything was nice. The only problem I had were the elevator aren’t all Working so wait time was long. The location isn’t on the strip but around the corner so Ubers were killing me. The food court was nice but didn’t have enough choices to offer from.

    The experience we ruined by the lack of maintenance on the elevators. They only had 2 working and a lot of people are pissed. To check in and check out we had to use the stairs from the 10th floor with all our bags. Vary inconvenient and tiring. We would like to say we are very upset and hope they can figure this issue out. We want some sort of compensation for our troubles and terrible experience.

    The rooms are nice and large. The casino is extremely smokey. Making dining in any of the open restaurants in the casino area very unenjoyable. Continued work on many of the elevators creates a huge backup just to get up to your room. I would stay away from this resort. It is in decline.

    High Steaks was horrible. The initial bread was brought out with a mustard butter that was horrible. The server was good but all the food was bad. Crab cakes were not even close. Tuna tartar was horrible. Our food came out cold so we sent it back and had to leave. Ruined our anniversary dinner 100%

    My safe deposit box was not working, I talked to virtual agent Rita over the phone but did not receive any help. I had to go in line stand Two times. It took more than Four hours to solve the issue. Because of this I became late goig to my show. Everything is great this is the big problem and should fix it. The room was very good and spacious. Yes I will return but in a hope the Rita and employees would take care of guest properly.

    First of all the casino was very smoky. I immediately started having a headache 15-20 minutes upon me entering casino area and sinus congestion. I didn’t think much, but then it happened again the next day and the day after immediately after entering the casino gambling area. When I left the casino to other outdoor activities the headaches would go away and sinuses would clear up. Rio does not have good ventilation system, that’s for sure. Not a great experience for us.

    Though this place is away from strip, I like the fact that it is. No rush of people around. This place is big with several pools and they have 2 hot saunas right next to the adult only pool which is nice! There’s a breakfast/ diner in the premises. A bit pricey but convenient. Several other restaurants as well. I saw the Wow show which was wonderful! I recommend. I wish I did the mystery dinner. Looks like a lot of fun. There’s a Smash burger in the facility as well. I love the luckily restaurant which had oyster happy hour! There is a lot in this Rio resort. The rooms are huge! Very clean and all the amenities like shampoo, conditioner, liquid soap, and body cream too. Not disappointed.

    Upon checking in staff was really rude to my wife because “she didn’t book the room you have no reservations” me being confused asked I don’t have any reservations?? He goes “not under her name.” Mind you I’m also standing there with MY ID. Finally takes it and finds our room reservations. Then got mad when my WIFE signed for the cc hold??? I’ve never had an issue like this anywhere. Very very odd

    Absolutely amazing! I will probably never stay anywhere else again... I've been to Vegas many times but this stay was by far my fav (first time at Rio)... The new remodeled suite was amazing, staff was great, excellent food choices other than I didn't really care for the "kitchen table". Will be back! Oh and definitely check out voodoo lounge for a spectacular view!

    The hotel is nice and has great amenities but the front desk staff can be a little rude. They charged our credit card 166 with no notification and did not show on our room account. When we went to the front desk they said it was a smoking fee. We don’t smoke, vape, light candles etc. the gave us the report that showed the time of the incident at time we were not even in our room. They removed the charge but if we didn’t get alerts from our credit card company we would not have know about this charge.

    The casino was on the smaller end in f Vegas casinos tables min was $15 and $25 wish there was more tables and different minimum bets. Both table was packed non stop. Room where nice now that some was remodeled. Very spacious was hoping for a coffee pot and microwave but there wasn’t. Pool hour are only open from 10-5 and most the chairs are reserved so my husband couldn’t get in because he has braces on his ankle he needs to take them off and be few feet from the pool closest chair was to far for him to walk. Definitely need to have first come first serve when it come to pool area beside the big gazebo areas!! We won’t be back.

I have been repeatedly asking for a proper invoice so I can expense it back to my company, but they keep bouncing me between them and Booking.com, even though Booking.com has made it very clear that the invoice must be issued by the hotel. After many ineffective phone calls and email exchanges, I still have not been able to get a proper invoice after several days, despite spending a lot of time trying to resolve this. Their contact centre also appears to rely on a non-functioning AI assistant, which has made the process even more frustrating.

    Very friendly and helpful staff The bed was uncomfortable. The blankets and pillows as well as the couch all felt like waterproof material meant for sick or drunk people. Very uncomfortable and loud. Horrible material. There was no mini fridge. The bookings site mentioned jacuzzi and there wasn't one. Over all it was expensive considering how low quality everything was. The rooms were large but the furniture looked like it was bought last minute at good will just to fill the space. Oh and my brother next door got a 500$ smoking charge even though he doesn't smoke . Was told he has to fight the smoke alarm manufacturer if he doesn't want to pay... needless to say we probably won't be coming back or referring the rio to anyone.

    Clean and big room. Room was a little on the hot side. The dim sum restaurant could be better. Had no idea how it worked and no one took the time to explain how it worked or what we could order.     The lack of communication about the shooting to the guest at the hotel you guys didn’t know it was a murder suicide right away.     I will start by saying that my initial check-in experience was awesome. The gentleman who checked me in was very kind and courteous and gave me a lot of good information. When I got to my first room, it was a very nice and well upkeep remodeled room. However, neither the toilet nor the shower worked. The faucets did work OK. I put in a request to maintenance and then a second request as nothing was happening. I finally went down to the front desk after a few hours and was informed that they had an emergency water shut off in the building and they didn’t know how long it would be. I asked to change rooms and they were accommodating, however my new room was a downgrade from what I had paid for and was smaller, not as clean or well kept and had a horrendous view of the HVAC units. To top it off the TV didn’t work. I put in another request to maintenance about the TV issue and never had anybody respond to it so I would not say that I will be returning to this hotel anytime soon.

    The “remodeled” room still felt like 1990. No, microwave. No hot water third morning, the day we were leaving. No body greets at the door anymore . Limited room service (none after lunch). Limited Restaurants, limited hours. Only one place to eat after 10pm. The food court manager did handle a hateful lady very well when she started berating his employee for nothing they did wrong, so that was solid. The burger at Luckily’s and staff there was fabulous. Outside of those two engagements the rest of the staff was unapproachable, gave off a sense of being bothered when asked simple things like “where are the elevators?” Several trip hazards in the Casino area. Spent double on ride shares than saved on room cost that was over valued. Requested more sheets and pillows for sofa bed that were not delivered until the next morning. Looks glamorous on the outside but was lackluster and disappointing on the inside. Should have spent just a little more per night and stayed on the strip. I would not recommend this hotel. Tried notifying front desk upon check out and still felt they were detached, but he did say there were other complaints about the cold water in showers.

    Room was beautiful, big and clean. Only problem the shower drain was clogged. First night we got there late and noticed the drain was clogged we took a shower and all the water came out of the bathroom. Next day we left early we left 2 notes on the room asking to fix the drainage also we told a cleaning lady and she told us she would fix it. That night we got very late about 2 in the morning and no one went to our room it was like we left it and the drainage was clogged.

    The absolute atrocity was waking up to five attempts of them charging my card on file $500. No explanation, nothing. I come to find out it was due to “air quality”alert in my room due to smoking, vaping, etc. After investigating it on my own (after having to freeze my card) they weren’t even sure what the alert was for, and could have been from me drying my hair. The fact that they didn’t come to my room, call my room or attempt to discuss with me prior to shakily charging my card at 3 am is beyond unacceptable. I also haven’t received my deposit back as of yet. You get what you pay for applies here unfortunately

    Despite booking a specific room with two beds so that our family could be accommodated we arrived well ahead of check-in time. Tried to use the kiosk to check in which told us our room was not ready which was fine. We continued to check the app and then finally kept getting an error message so we had to wait in the check-in line for over an hour just to be told that they did not have any more rooms for us with the double beds and we will be put in a king bed with a pullout couch. This was extremely inconvenient for the individuals we were traveling with as some of them are older and cannot sleep on a pull out couch. They did not care at all that we were inconvenienced and that we had booked a specific type of room for specific family members they told us there was nothing they could do. They were extremely rude. The desk worker said how do you think my day is going look at the line behind you. I don’t know the point of booking a specific type of room if you’re not going to get it. Hotels.com tried to do what they could to put in a request but they ignored that as well. The customer service at this hotel was terrible. We ended up needing another blanket and waited well over an hour for it later at night so everyone just waited to go to sleep until they could get it.

    They booked the room we already booked before we arrived so they stuck us in an old room that had many issues including the tv not working. They made checking out difficult which delayed us and caused us to miss our flight

    Sheets were stained, blankets had tears, room wasn’t the cleanest, tub took 10 mins to drain, but the water pressure was good. The pool was closed during the stay and I didn’t see any notice that it was. And I was quite disappointed a big reason I booked here was for the pool. I think out of it all I only liked the food options they had. The Starbucks was good there. Eggslut was good and fast! And the Philly cheese steak place was amazing! Everyone that worked at the food places were so kind. I was excited seeing the frozen drink mixers in pictures but unfortunately there were none in the building. So a Pina Colada over rocks sufficed.

    I was charged for the room even though I paid through Expedia. I called customer support and was “helped” by a representative who was not very nice. She said I was charged the correct amount. When I tried to explain I wasn’t supposed to be charged anything she said I’d have to talk to a front desk representative. She said she would get someone to contact me. That was a few days ago and no one has called me back. Very poor service and I will not recommend this hotel.

    Stayed at the Rio this past weekend. Our first experience staying here. Free parking! We stayed in an upgraded high floor suite facing the strip. Great view! We used the self check-in kiosk and it was a breeze. We didn’t get to the at any of their restaurants as we were out and about. We are not heavy gamblers but I did play my fav (bubble craps) and a few slot machines. Wish they had a buffet…not sure if they will ever bring it back. But overall enjoyed our stay here and would definitely come back to the Rio.

    Check-in took forever, room was outdated and disgusting. Beds we double, not queen and so uncomfortable two people couldn’t sleep in them. We were never able to speak to a real person when calling the hotel from our room. We had to stand in line for almost an hour to speak to management. Manager was not helpful regarding our room. We had to rebook through hotels.com to get the remodeled side. Room was never serviced and when asked for towels could only get 3 at a time. We were with a hockey tournament so we were obligated to stay, otherwise we would have left immediately. Shame on Hyatt for allowing this property to be so poorly run and gross. We will never stay here again.

    The wifi is horrible it’s so weak that we can’t use it. We were a big fan of Rio for many years but we are so disappointed this time. We paid 50 dollars per day of resort fee for that. The water pressure was too low on our 15 floor.

    The staffs that helped us out to get the room were very friendly even though we waited 3h30min because the suite was being prepared. There was the 2 gentlemen (dark skin and Afro hairstyle) with great service and unfortunately like always there’s someone that is not that good with customer service, Maritza is one of them, poor customer service and needs to show that she cares about the customers and a little smile will make a big impact on how people perceive her.

    I also noticed several complaints about the way the staff at the counter speak to customers. They did not handle complaints well, and I even saw employees laughing at guests after we had waited over 20 minutes in line. Overall, the service and experience were disappointing.

    We were pulled out of line to check in on the hiosk...unsuccessfully 3 times it said we aren't checking in on this date. They finally helped us at the desk with the help of 3 people. We were supposed to have $591 of the $700 bill paid 2 days prior, but the hotel never requested payment. . We spent over an hour chatting with hotels for them to tell us to contact our bank and then the chat stopped working. There were blowers in the hall of our floor, and our carpet was soaked in our room. We requested housekeeping and they never came. We booked a strip view room because it was nye and we have a child so we could watch the fireworks, but was put in a mountain view room.

    To make things worse, I was initially given a room number that does not even exist, which caused me to walk nearly an hour around the hotel carrying two suitcases. Staff showed little accountability, no apology, and promised to follow up to change the room but never did. Very poor experience and not worth the price.
