Tampa Bay Extended Stay Hotel

Room was fine for the price, had roaches, had them come spray the first day and it helped a bit

Well don't won't 103 TV not up to par, staff was great, I left a mess because I can't stand and do dishes my friend left to go to work and I had to pack and leave so did not have the energy or the willpower to get them done was given a late checkout, would love to come back but not room 103 if possible sorry for the mess

The air conditioner is in a terrible place -on the wall right between the beds blowing cold air on our heads. Then the air froze up and there we were in Florida and couldn't open windows due to being on the ground floor and perhaps a bad person climbing in! HOT NIGHT!! Saw roaches several times. Office said they sprayed, but still saw them the 3 weeks we were there. The ice machine blew up one night and that was a terrible thing. The room fire alarms all work well!!! We were told by someone that the ice machine was suppose to be fixed that day, but wasn't! The fire department sent plenty of trucks to "put out the fire". The fumes were very bad from the blow up. The night before we were scheduled to leave was a bad night. Someone came pounding on our door at midnight with all kind of noises outside our door. We were hesitant to open the door! After about 20 minutes the ruckus finally subsided. Saying all this, we will most definately NOT stay there again. The staff was pleasant, but we did have some issues we have never encountered anywhere!! Thank you for asking our opinion concerning our three week stay!

It was clean and well maintained. It appeared to house homeless people. Everyone was friendly and helpful. They did alarm testing that went on for several hours. Made it difficult to watch TV while packing to leave.

Roaches everywhere even after changing rooms still had to leave in the middle of the night with an infant. Have yet to hear back from the property or booking agent on this matter or a refund. Ghosting phone numbers when trying to contact anyone. Worst experience ever in traveling.

The room had an awful chemical odor. The sheets had a few spots on them. The bed was comfortable. I had no issues with any of the other guests there. They were courteous and it seemed safe.

The original room i booked was non smoking online. I wanted to add another stay. They advertised 149 for two nights. The guy at the front named pat tried to charge me 250.00 for an extra night so he canceled my original booking, added the extra stay and changed my room type from non smoking to no smoking. When I first arrived the Largo police department showed up for a domestic dispute also. Then the TV stopped working, but the woman that was there I believe her name was Melinda was awesome. She changed my room for me to the room I originally booked for my last stay with a tv that worked. The switch was like night and day. I I ever go back to stay I would like to deal with her, that pat guy is untrustworthy.

There was no spa..There were roaches all over the place and one died one on the bed. Was not happy.

Clean room Kathy and the staff are awesome, Pat checked me in was great only issue the phone in the room did not work but I had my cell phone so everything else was great highly recommend and will go back

Today it’s rundown, infested with roaches and should be demolished. The building is infested with German cockroaches. Many of it looked like long-term residence hanging out in front of their room, smoking cigarettes. There was hair in the bathtub and on the floor. Linens were clean, but it was clear. The room was not vacuume. German cockroaches, babies and adults, running around on the floor and ceilings, coming out underneath the baseboards in the bathroom and in the kitchen. The very friendly staff tried to tell me it was because we’re in Florida and have doors facing the outside. Hire a real pest control company to bait and spray put DE behind the walls and underneath the baseboards. On checkout, I attempted to talk to the front desk about it. She had to kill one on the desk in front of me at that point I just walked out. Oh and having a guy walk the parking lot with a leaf blower at 8:30 in the morning is never appreciated.

The staff was very helpful and respectful! Angie was very welcoming. The room seemed remodeled, and repainted. It was clean and comfortable enough. Some areas of the building are not repaired correctly so it does not look good in the outside.

Yes the kitchen was fully equipped and clean. However, there was a bug in the bed and the property needs to be sprayed for mosquitoes

The staff was very friendly. They were helpful with answering questions. My daughter stayed for 2 weeks, and I asked for her feedback. She said it would have been helpful to be informed of the schedule for cleaning rooms when she checked in. Her first room had a bug infestation. It wasn't obvious at first, but many came out as it got darker. She even woke up with a few bugs in the bed. If there were other options available, she would have moved, but she didn't have a lot of choice for 2 weeks. However, when she asked to move rooms, she was moved right away. The next room was much better. She said the neighborhood was not great.

The bed & bathroom were basically clean. The toilet ran constantly. BUGS. Roaches, ants, etc., mainly in the kitchen area. Not a fan.

The kitchen was fully equipped, and shopping was a breeze, lots of shopping in the area and close enough to the beach

Cost I'm not sure if I was billed correctly. There were 4 swipe attempts on my credit card. I should be billed for only 3 rooms on March 26 - 29. I'm waiting for my credit card bill to arrive in the mail.

I would not stay there with kids. As an extended stay hotel it seemed to be in somewhat of a sketchy area. Although the room was "smoke free" it may not have been before the re-fresh and the room smelled heavily of cigarettes. There was no hair dryer.

Nothing at all, but the distance from where I was going. It’s ghetto! Filled with people who stay here. They walk and smoke all night long. The beds are full size and not Queen. The television is in a corner on the wall and has terrible stations. The air unit sits by your head and there’s a light above the bed that my husband got his head on. Everything in these rooms need to be replaced and remolded.

Gentleman at front counter was very friendly & accommodating upon arrival/check in & location in reference to the wedding venue we were attending for our weekend stay was convenient Upon arrival and initial intake of room cleanliness seemed acceptable until the night time came and the cockroaches showed themselves & invaded us. Bugs were mainly in the bathroom and kitchen area but seeing so many small roaches in these areas made it a little unnerving to accept the "look of cleanliness" so If you have an issue with cockroaches like ourselves staying here is definitely not recommended ?

we had a terrible time here and we couldn't wait to leave. The cigarette smell overpower the room which was supposed to be an upgrade. Most guest have been there for months, I guess we had no idea. We will not be coming back.

The kitchen had everything needed to cook meals. Plates, utensils, pots, pans, etc. The staff was very friendly. The location was convenient for everything we needed.

The place is in a good location, u have 23 min the historic town . 20 min for rock island beach the big problem is that theres many roaches .

No hot water 3 days out of my 5 days. The room was a smoke free room, but it smelt of smoke.

Room was infested with roaches. Dozens were seen every time you turned lights on. Had to go buy bug spray.

Nothing Rooms and furniture is out dated. Could smell pot around every corner. Beds were not comfortable

Weekly housekeeping So noisy nearly every night. We stayed here before and never had this issue. Bugs this time and so many people have dogs and do NOT clean up the poop.

We had to unscrew lights from the ceiling bc they were flickering amd needed changed the shower was freezing cold my daughter's wouldn't even shower and I froze the TV ubhad to use two different remotes to have volume and change channels had to keep fixing going up yo TV and push input button . It was not a good place the main door u could see outside as if someone had pushed through the door the lady said she was refunding my money and I haven't seen it yet

I walked in and the room had a musky smell gnats were flying around and bought a pizza for our dinner left it on the table found roaches crawling on it but they gave me 2/3 of my money back will not recommend it for anyone

The property is ideal as am relocating, it's next to a main thoroughfare, is reasonably priced and has a kitchenette that saves me money on dining out.

It appears they have long term renters as an extended stay but are cleaning up the place and for us, it was a great place just to come back and sleep. We ate all meals out and always came home by 1000pm. The property was quiet and budget friendly.

Roaches were everywhere in the kitchen area and bathroom and were seen throughout the room. The front desk didn't seem bothered by it, just said that they would get pest control out to spray. I definitely won't be back! Also no hot tub or pool or breakfast as listed when booked.

The staff is super friendly and the rooms is spacious and a nice bed. Room is clean but the floor needs a good scrubbing. Our feet on the bottoms were black every morning. Easy parking and food is close by.

The Bad - Many long-term renters here that like to hang out outside their rooms and smoke cigarettes. Many shady types hanging around the area. Room and bedding smelled of smoke. Decor is dated and tired. Air conditioner was very loud. Hope I don't have to stay here again.

AC worked great, tv had lots to choose from, the kitchenette was convenient and they even include their own pots/pans/dishes. Our bed was a little on the wonky side, but still very comfortable. We enjoyed our stay! There were a few sketchy people just hanging around outside, but they're easily ignored.

The first night of my stay there was a party of four or more going on in the room next to me. I put in ear plugs to attempt to sleep. I dozed off hete and there but the party got louder. Finally I could not take the yelling any longer so I contacted hotel security. The noise calmed down briefly and I fell asleep. An hour later I woke up to the noise of someone being thrown into the room's party wall. At this point the party had turned really ugly. I sincerely feared for my own safety and called 911. Thank God the police arrived and over the next hour they interviewed whomever was still there amd made arrests. When the pice left at 5am or so, so did I. I returned when the office opened at 8am, recounted my experience; and was told I would get a fulk refund. it took over a week for management to authorize a refund via Expedia but I was stil charged for the night of Hell I experienced. This mgt does NOT know how to run a business.

I have never stayed at a motel where you have people hanging out weather they stay or not.too me it was not a place that I would have my kids stay there.there was no thought of other people staying there as I had to find out what the policy was about loud music playing at three in the morning.i Don't think that we should have to pay for coffee as most motels have it in the rooms.i really think that you all should just see how this place is.

The stay was great and the rooms were clean but other than the 2 roaches I seen it was good. I would recommend if you need a place to stay for a week this is the place to go.

Bed was hard as a rock. The bathroom light wouldn’t turn on unless the main bedroom light was on.

This is the 3rd time staying here and it is really nice. Very clean, comfortable bed, and hot shower.

I booked this property from August 10-16 from the outside it looked good. But the people who stay there are drug addicts. We drove up and saw a man nodding off and then ducking behind the property as we where approaching our room. I saw several drug addicts. It was like a methadone clinic. Apparently they were on drugs. I saw drifters and homeless people. It was so scary. Immediately I ask to cancel my reservations. The front desk guy understood and apologized. The room smelled of smoke even though I booked non smoking. It was so tiny with a kitchen. The sink was dirty. The place had roaches in the sink. Stay away!

A nice comfortable room with a kitchenette for several fishing trips. Like the fact of tile flooring, easier to keep clean.

We PAID for a room with a queen bed and received a room with a full bed that had cigarette burns all over bedding. Literally the most disgusting hotel I’ve been to. They didn’t not come clean, change bedding, or bring new towels in the 4 days we were there.

It was very close to the areas that I wanted to go to. Some very good restaurants close by. Along with the beaches. I would stay again if I am in the area.

the hotel was nice, only a half an hour drive from clearwater or indian rocks beach. the rooms were clean. it does look like people live at this hotel, everyone was friendly and we felt safe.

We have stayed here before because it is close to family. Never again. The room had a stale smoke smell. The floor clearly had not been cleaned in awhile because when we wiped it, it came away black with dirt. Gap around the door let in various bugs. Last straw was the 6 police cars out front in the morning and 1 still there in afternoon. Beware.

Property was ok for the money. Needs to be updated. Our friends room had noisy/loud neighbors and their room wasn’t as clean as ours. Couldn’t get tv to work

Room was a smoking room which we could not have changed to non-smoking which we requested upon booking weeks in advance. The smoke smell was terrible. Would suggest they use a smoke eating machine after checkouts. Requested near elevator if first floor not available. It was not near elevator. Hotel is more residential, I think, than for travelers. Very loud clientele but they were polite in passing. Not too clean. Kitchen, bath, beds okay but floor was not clean. No carpeting & our socks were black after walking on the floor one day. Would not recommend this place for travelers. Probably ok for a roof over one's head but not as a "vacation" stay.

Horrible. No clean,not even by regular standards....Definitely not up to Covid-19 standards. We had to sanitized the room ourselves, it was really bad.

Good location for PIE airport and a plentiful amount of eating , drinking establishments and shopping in area. Free on site parking. Great staff. Simple room but clean. All we needed.

Price was reasonable and the location was central making it easy to get around

People outside seating on the stairs on down the floor smoking or just looking around. It looked like a shelter that I’ve seen in a movie.

Was good for the time I was there. I worked during the evenings and could have used darkening curtains.

Room smelled like smoke despite being non smoking room. Beds were not comfortable, a/c was loud and unit between beds. Bed lamps placed where you could easily sit up and hit your head. Never coming back...

Nice facilities clean room. Interesting place: half tourists and half homeless.

It was good I like the idea of the kitchenette that way you don't have to go out to eat you can cook right in your room and save money. Staff is very professional and courteous if you need something you just go to the office laundromat on site.

My husband went outside because i noticed we had a flat and he has no shirt on the spanish security guard said my husband was on drugs which he was not told him to go back inside or we would be asked to leave and no we couldnt even put our spair tire on in the parking lot we had to drive to the walgreens next door by the time we got there the tire was just about off the rim more money coming out of our pocket . mind u we just paid for the week . as this is our second week being here . all we do is work and come here sleep and shower so for the security guard to judge my husband because the way he looked was very wrong we will never ever rent from there again.

As always the staff is turly amazing. They always have the upmost respect and are genuinely friendly. A truly all star cast and the up keep they do to maintain the building and the way it is kept clean is only rivaled by some of the top hotel chains. Even most of them fall short of the level Tampa Bay Extended Stay.

I got to my room pretty late and the office closes at 11pm so by the time I got into my room and realized that there was a funny smell coming from somewhere it was too late to tell anyone. I was dead tired and ended up falling asleep quickly but I woke up every so often because that funny smell kept waking me up. One of the times I woke up I realized the stench was coming from the mattress so I decided to take a closer sniff and sure enough the smell was coming from there. It smelled like someone who hadn’t showered in weeks and hadn’t wiped their behind properly after having a bowel movement. I informed the front desk upon checkout that the mattress stunk up the place but I just wanted to inform them not make a big deal about it as I figured it wasn’t done intentionally. Nonetheless, I spent the night in a bad smelling situation that did not allow me to sleep properly nor nearly enough. My money woulda been better spent at another place with a clean mattress

Front desk tried to tell me they cancelled my reservation when I didn't show up by 6pm, then tried to charge me 93.00 per night. I left, then they called back, apologizing and claimed it was a mistake. Check in desk was rude, dismissive, and demeaning as well as unwilling to admit their mistake until after I had left the property. Room was tiny, but reasonably well equipped. Countertops are strangely raised, over waist height, and smoke from lower floors traveled through vent system into the room.

This is a drug spot lots of junkies and the motel is aware of the activity police were there everyday..

The rooms smell like cigarettes, even though they are "non smoking ". The property is a drug haven, you have people at all hours of the night coming and going, prostitution, and very seedy.

the worst experience ever. the fridge had been taken out and not replaced. we were there less than 15 minutes when I seen something move, it was a huge cockroach. we spent 3 hours killing roaches and slept with the lights on. if I hadn't checked in at 11:30 pm I would not have stayed. I checked out the next morning. we discovered roach bait in the corners where the fridge had been so management had to be aware of the problem.

My family and I stayed here for one night only because we traveled from 20 hours to get there. It was blood on the wall in the bathroom. To many junky and crack heads around. Drug transactions happening. We left the next morning.

Never had an isuse untill I meet Carolyine, very unproffessional . Will not be going back there.

Absolutely horrifying! I paid for an upcharge Queen/Nom smoking room..checked into a single bed, VERY smoked in room. There was a disgusting smell there that only diminished after opening the windows and door for 4 hours...in 91 degree heat...of course all the chain smoking homeless drug addicts congregating in the parking lot and breezeway didn't help. Room next to me was the scene of "Bumfights IV" with a woman screeching and crying hysterically as she was being murdered by her meth head companion. I called Security (???) 3 times, they refused to respond. Smelly room, lumpy small mattress, numerous bedbug bites, puffy eyes from chain smoking, and bumfights... for the far above average price, I expected something better than the flophouse treatment. An absolute Nightmare! Avoid at all costs!

Due to their long staying guests the atmosphere was not conducive for a relaxing stay.

The price was good, spotless clean, could get the television to work (options for streaming Netflix, etc. weren't functioning). Location close to good shopping, dining, access to Clearwater/Dunedin. Check-in was hassle-free and welcoming. The Manager is personable.

Right off bus line. Easy access to Trolley and beaches.

The motel is quite dated, but it was comfortable. Good WiFi, spacious car park, quiet. But the musty smell of the room was quite overpowering and unpleasant and the cleanliness could have been better.

Nice place but our room was to be cleaned on Tuesday which never happened so late afternoon Wednesday they came to clean & we were checking out the next morning so declined. I had packed my slippers the last day there so walked on the floor with bare feet. The bottoms of my feet were black. The air conditioner didn’t cool well.

I will never EVER stay at this hole and suggest you don't either.

Close to everything, walking distance for some places, friendly neighbors, up beat and happy all around.

Management and worker did come up twice , however, it remained unresolved.
