Reviews
The hotel reviews are mixed, with guests praising the cleanliness of linens and the efficiency of check-in, but criticizing the maintenance and upkeep of the property. The breakfast provided is generally considered subpar.
- Clean linens
- Efficient check-in process
- Poor maintenance and upkeep
- Subpar breakfast

The staff I interacted with were wonderful. The hotel was clearly bought and partially redone to open as a Hilton Spark. The room had an awful chemical smell, likely from paint or redoing the flooring. While the TV worked, the cable did not. The continental breakfast was limited; coffee was decent. All around, there are better hotels nearby and I will not return to the Spark.
- 5/5
good
- 3/5
No outlets by the bed- had to move the nightstand. Breakfast was very limited. Outside area pretty trashy in places and outside door on back did not work. Otherwise, it was okay.
- 5/5
Clean room. Complimentary breakfast could be improved but was convenient. Enjoyed our stay.
- 4/5
Room was spacious. Staff were helpful.
- 5/5
Super friendly staff and awesome place to stay
- 3/5
The staff was friendly, however the walls are paper thin. There were multiple spiders in our room, one falling on us in bed. Would not recommend
- 3/5
The breakfast is almost nothing. I wish we weren't going to all linoleum flooring. You can see the dirt gather in the corners
- 5/5
Great place. 15 minutes from red rocks
- 5/5
Absolutely great hotel!! The front desk employee, Jeremy, was awesome!! Thanks for a great trip
- 4/5
One night stay, clean, safe, friendly comfortable. Would definitely stay again.
- 2/5
Very disappointed with the room. Desk lamp didn't work. Shower rod in need of repair as the shower curtain would not stay closed allowing water to get all over the floor. Toilet not securely fastened to the floor. I was there for 5 nights and the room was visited by housekeeping once.
- 1/5
Just to name a few issues … - room not ready despite prepaid and booked. Two days later we got our actual room. - About 30 old dirty mattresses sitting in the parking lot - Bugs. - Paper thin walls. I literally heard my neighbors phone calls and the person she was talking to. - 4 night stay, housekeeping came by one time. There’s more but just don’t stay here. The entire staff was rude, couldn’t care less about our issues or their ability to remedy, and that’s putting it nicely for their “customer service skills”. Normally hotels.com is solid but whoever gave this place any positive rating must be on crack.
- 3/5
Rooms were very nice and king bed was super comfortable. Very quiet. The only minus was cigarette butts all over the front of the building The plus was the great price and nice room
- 4.5/5
clean, comfortable room, good mattress.
- 4.5/5
clean, comfortable room, good mattress.
- 4.5/5
Superb
- 4/5
Location was good, close to restaurants and event venue. Building is older but very well updated. Room and bathroom were clean. Bed was very comfortable and all electricals/ equipment worked. Only disappointment was sparse breakfast. Only protein was boiled eggs, which were difficult to peel. Only fresh fruit were unripe bananas.
- 4/5
Did not like the smoking near the entrance!
- 2.5/5
Passable
- 2/5
I read the reviews and thought it would be good. I cant believe Hilton has their name attached to something like this place. It was terrible. Guy down the hall was picking up black trash bags at the front desk to put his stuff in. He showed us what appeared to be bed bug bites on his arm. Was not impressed with the continental breakfast that had very little and an out of order juice machine and terrible coffee. We paid a little over $200 a night for a place that should have been less than $100

.
- 5/5
Clean property comfortable beds and friendly staff
- 5/5
I only slept in the hotel, at night. It was quiet and that's all I cared about.
- 5/5
The location was good. Staff very friendly and accommodating.
- 5/5
It was a nice clean room with kind and helpful employees
- 3/5
Very basic bagel breakfast only. Could use cereal, milk, juice etc to go.
- 5/5
Exactly what we needed for a whirlwind trip. Two nights for around $100/night. Clean, comfortable, well lit, friendly, plenty of parking and close by our event.
- 1/5
Unfortunately, I will have trouble making a fair assessment as there was basically a party in the hallway with people slamming doors and talking loudly until 4:00am.
- 5/5
It is a little older but well taken care of. It has a comfortable bed, clean towels and bathroom. I recommend it for a couple day stay. I also felt safe and relaxed.
- 4/5
Very good
- 3.5/5
The room was a good size. Pretty basic. Comfortable mattress, but horrible pillows that were somehow flat but also lumpy (bring your own). Plenty of parking. Very close to main roads and freeways which was nice for traveling. We picked this hotel due to its proximity to Morrison/Red Rocks. Staff were friendly when we interacted. We were there 4 nights and our room was only turned over once. I had to go to the front desk after coming back to our room on Saturday after being out all day (we checked in Thursday) and nothing had been touched. I had to get our own fresh towels. Room was finally cleaned the day before we left. The AC was fairly loud, but kept the room comfortable. Their free breakfast was extremely underwhelming (cereal, toast, bagels). No fresh fruit, eggs, waffle maker, etc. But there is a Denny's you can literally walk to so that's what we did.

Good hotel. Great staff. Clean, modern room. Was excellent for our one nights stay with our dog. Would stay here again.
- 5/5
Very good value. We had all the amenities we needed for an overnight stay. Personable and helpful staff. We would definitely recommend and would stay again.
- 4/5
Clean room with excellent staff. Beds were comfortable and property was quiet. Hot drinks were maintained 24/7 in lobby. Only drawback was this particular rooms bathroom door was broken so there was limited privacy within the room.
- 5/5
Clean rooms and comfortable beds.
- 3/5
The smell of bleach in the room was so strong, it burned my eyes. nose, and throat. The floor was sticky and there was no coffee pot in the room. Most likely will never stay at this hotel again.
- 5/5
The room was very clean, and the bed was comfortable too. I was a bit disappointed with the breakfast, though.
- 3/5
Found a dozen large ants in the room.
- 5/5
The room was very clean and the staff was friendly. Fresh fruit, oatmeal, cereal, boiled eggs, bagels, muffins and a yogurt bar were avaliable for breakfast each morning and I was very grateful for that.
- 5/5
I like that it’s very quiet and also that the rooms are very clean. Also, the exterior of the building is also clean and kept up.
- 5/5

- 2/5
The hotel itself was okay. Decent rooms, but not well insulated. The room above me had kids running around until about 2am and I could very clearly hear every step/noise. I had a reservation, but it took about 30 minutes to get checked in because apparently no one cleaned any of the rooms beforehand and they had almost no where to put me or other guests. I felt bad for the receptionist because he seemed like he was trying his best, but left with no help.
- 2/5
Extremely disappointed with the condition of the room. I paid almost $200 for one night and it wasn’t worth anything over $100. Bathroom was tiny and toilet paper holder was falling off the wall, tile grout in the bathroom flooring was missing in areas making the floor tiles loose. There wasn’t even an electrical socket in the vanity area to be able to plug in a blow dryer or curling iron.
- 5/5
Everything was excellent.
- 5/5
Excellent value, friendly staff. I would recommend to others. Great location for Red Rocks.
- 4/5
Clean and close to Red Rocks Breakfast was lacking. Frozen hard boiled eggs, stale bagels.
- 4/5

- 4/5
Good for the price, front desk gentleman was very nice!
- 5/5
All was clean and satisfactory.
- 5/5
Exceptional
- 4/5
Very clean, comfortable room. Well maintained. Breakfast was very basic. Nothing warm like pancakes, waffles, sausage. Oatmeal, cereal, hard boiled eggs, bagels. No coffee pot in the room. Coffee only available at breakfast. The hotel charged me $50 deposit that was supposed to be returned to me at check out but so far it has not. Will be calling the office.
- 1/5
Our power went out in your house, so I took my family and tried to find somewhere more safe and clean to stay upon arrival and settling down with folded back. The length is going to discover that there are a lot of bedbugs big huge red ones bigger than ants.
- 5/5
Clean and comfortable. Only negative was I could hear the elevator door throughout the night I was 2 rooms down from it and could still hear it. If I was in a room next to it I wouldn't of gotten any sleep.
- 5/5
I cannot say anything bad about this hotel. Everything was as it should be.
- 5/5
Staff was great! Room was clean and very nice. Smart Tv was awesome I could connect to my streaming services easily.
- 4/5
Clean room. Friendly staff. Good deal.
- 5/5
Check in was efficient and courteous
- 5/5
Visited for a concert at red rocks , ideal location! Very friendly staff
- 3/5
Room was clean, bed was comfortable, but the place is LOUD. The bathroom is very small-you have to step between shower & toilet to close door while in bathroom. Sink outside of room had a very large kitchen faucet that wasn't attached to sink very well. Large, bulky and awkward to use. The grounds/parking lot were dirty and had a lot of trash and cigarette butts everywhere. Biggest complaint would be the noise. We could hear people on each side of our room, across the hall, in parking lot, and definitely above. Location was good with plenty of food and entertainment close by, but I don't think we'd stay again.
- 3/5
Breakfest could have been better
- 5/5
I had a wonderful time at the Spark. Jeremy at the front desk was super welcoming and gave me all the info I needed without asking. The room was big, clean, quiet, and super comfortable. This is an older building, but they've done a good job keeping it up to date. The breakfast was more than enough with all kinds of morning options. Plenty of places to sit and be comfortable. The even reach out during my stay to ask how everything was going, top tier customer service. I would absolutely recommend and stay again.
- 5/5
Yes
- 5/5
Great breakfast, early check in, mostly nice staff!!
- 5/5
Quick and easy check in. I appreciate the breakfast being open till 10am daily for vacationers!
- 5/5
The exterior of the building seems old and the lobby was a little dirty I wasn’t expecting much. Staff was friendly and helpful. I got to my room on the 3rd floor and it was clean, modern and perfect for my stay. The breakfast was awesome to top it off. Great value and would stay again without question. 15 minutes from Morrison and Red Rocks. Clean the lobby up a little

The location was perfect, close to downtown Denver but not in all the crowds. Front desk service was amazing. The guy at front desk was helpful and kind and very attentive. This is a great location if you want to drive to multilple places nearby.
- 5/5
Was there for two nights attending a concert, Place was clean and staff was helpful and friendly. Would stay again when I come over to this side of the country again.
- 5/5
Breakfast was fine. I didn’t do laundry.
- 5/5
Free breakfast and coffee on demand.
- 4/5
Clean hotel. Helpful and nice staff. Feels safe.
- 3/5
Breakfast was basic.
- 4/5
good buy for the money
- 4/5
Clean property
- 4.5/5
Superb
- 5/5
It’s ok…
- 5/5
Great!! Excellent work!!
- 5/5
The breakfast was fresh. My son and I enjoyed it. The room was clean. Nice place to stay.
- 2/5
Disappointing
- 5/5
Room was ckesn, staff was friendly and it was quiet
- 4/5
The door to our bathroom was a bit wonky so you had to pull the door up by the handle to open and close it, without making a racket. The biggest "Ick" of our stay was the graveyard of cigarette butts in the gravel between the drop off zone and the parking lot. Would stay here again! Thanks Greg!
- 3/5
Breakfast was horrible. It felt conformed like jail. But considering the area it was the better option
- 3/5
My bed was very comfortable, but the overall building was worse for wear.
- 5/5
Strange man that was the night time clerk. Gals during the day were great,
- 1/5
Pretty sure the walls were made of cardboard. Felt like we were going to fall through. Terrible area as well. Will not be back.
- 4/5
We got in late the other night and it took us a good bit to get to bed since we had to listen to some drunk guy yell in the lobby till like 2:30am; while the receptionist did nothing to quiet him down. Other than that, the place was clean and the breakfast did the job.
- 3.5/5
Facilities were a bit older, shower was super squeaky when you stepped in tub, maybe not glued down completely. It had a faint smell like maybe it was a smoking room in the past.
- 3.5/5
The room was clean, staff was very nice, breakfast was nice and coffee was good. They had good drink and snack options for purchase in the lobby. The room had a couch, it was nice to watch tv. Facilities were a bit older, shower was super squeaky when you stepped in tub, maybe not glued down completely. It had a faint smell like maybe it was a smoking room in the past.
- 5/5
Room was clean! Staff was friendly
- 3/5
Property was updated and clean, However- whether it was the area or the particular guests staying while we were there - there was a constant smell of skunks weed. Also No coffee pot in rooms which I found odd, but there was a fridge and microwave
- 5/5
Clean lobby, clean rooms, hallway carpet could use some more care. Beds comfy, Air worked. Staff friendly. Neighbooh nice. Walked it this morning.
- 5/5
Breakfast menu is pretty good. Didn’t have to use any of the other resources of the hotel.
- 5/5
Clean rooms, good area, breakfast can improve. Was a hard boiled egg and some bagels and bread, cereal about it. Otherwise it was a nice enjoyable stay.
- 3/5
Hotel was outdated, dingy and dirty.
- 2/5
Can hear all the steps from the guests above on the hard floors. I won't be back .
- 2/5
The parking lot was full of garbage
- 5/5
Clean and fresh look.
- 3/5
Very basic hotel but inexpensive and allows pets.
- 1/5
This is the second time my family and I have stayed here and the second time the fire alarms went off for no reason as crazy times. 1am the first time and 7:30am this time. Obviously this is an on going issue and they wouldn’t offer me anything but points and told me to contact who I booked through for monetary refund…which I did come to find out they still have to approve and they wouldn’t. We will not stay here again.
- 5/5
Clean and quiet
- 5/5
A very basic breakfast, but a lot of other options in the area. Very clean room, well appointed and comfortable.
- 5/5
We’ve not stayed at Spark before and it was a lovely experience. Clean, very comfortable and affordable.
- 5/5
Great!
- 5/5
Yes and yes
- 5/5
Laundry convenient but not used. Room was ver clean and spacious for wheelchair. Staff(Travis) very helpful.
- 4/5
Only problem was noise during the night. We had to shift rooms to solve this probem.
- 4/5
Not a bad place to stay. Good breakfast offerings.
- 5/5
Everything was great could have a few better items on the breakfast bar but not really a complant. And you cant help the weed smell its colorado
- 5/5
Clean Room, convenient location for us, reasonable pricing. 👍
- 5/5
The room was honestly super cute , small bathroom but overall it was great. We had to leave early but will for sure be back to experience the breakfast !
- 4/5
Clean nice
- 5/5
Hotel was clean and staff were friendly. Check in went smoothly, except something was up with the machine and they had to double charge my $50 deposit. It wasn’t a big deal to me, and both charges were automatically refunded. Continental breakfast choices were okay. Bathroom was outdated and the deadbolt to our room was broken, so some updates could help. Regardless, we had a nice stay and it was worth the value.
- 5/5
Checking in clerk was fantastic and friendly. Room was perfectly clean, smart TV, nice breakfast
- 1/5
The room was never cleaned. The sticker in the room says every other day and when we complained they said every third day. Whether it was every other or every third, we were there long enough for it to have been cleaned at least once, but it never was. Breakfast was minimal. No shower gel upon arrival. Had to ask for some.
- 5/5
The host was so nice
- 4/5
Breakfast could have had more variety. Maybe scrambled eggs instead of boiled eggs. There was plenty of drinks available as well as desserts (muffins & donuts & toast options
- 3/5
Tub squeaked when standing on it. Staff was friendly and polite.
- 5/5
Had an issue with booking, date changed before submitting. The man at the desk helped me out tremendously. As far as the room goes, I think it was the best hotel bed I’ve slept on in a very long time!
- 3/5
Temperature consistency from one side of the room to the other (external window side to internal door side) was more extreme than other hotels we have stayed at. Breakfast was “ok” if you like bagels or yogurt based options as they have various toppings for them.
- 5/5
Great place
- 5/5
Very comfortable bed and safe place for a solo woman traveling with a pup.
- 5/5
Great, friendly service
- 3/5
check-in and room was good, however I switched rooms and that was not communicated to the overnight front desk lady. She had no name tag..it wasnt showing I was a guest in the hotel...I guess walking out of the elevator, with room key wasnt enough. Get responsible people working your front desk. she also teied to tell me the guy who checked me in "didnt make a copy of my ID...when I saw him making a copy right jn front of my face
- 5/5
Nice
- 2/5
Hotel was not up to hilton standards.
- 4/5
Clean sheets, plenty of towels, decent breakfast options. It more than served its purpose. Deducted one star due to lack of amenities (it is a Spartan hotel).
- 3/5
Room was fine, showers are very low flow, but that’s common in Colorado.
- 5/5
Clean and spacious rooms. Seems like they are recently updated to lobby area seating and tables. Great place to stay.
- 4/5
Facility was very clean and we were greated by friendly staff. Lobby has options for snacks for purchase and those emergency items you may have forgotten. Room was clean. Microwave and mini fridge in the room worked perfect. Only issue was that the shower pressure was 5/10 and moving around on the tub floor made an unnerving creaking sound any time you moves your feet. I would have hated to be the guests under us.
- 4/5
Everything was good except the breakfast that consisted of overcooked boiled eggs, bread options & cereal. Could have used another protein option. Elevator was scary - door didn’t shut all the way and sounded very sketchy.. . Also, the room was great except it sounded like you were going to fall through the floor in the shower. Staff was very friendly though & the price was good!
- 5/5
Room was clean. Staff was nice.
- 4/5
decent room. pretty clean. smelled new. bathroom could use some updates. hotel overall is slightly dated but still in good shape. staff was nice.
- 5/5
Nice staff
- 3/5
Clean, but noisy. Broken toilets
- 1/5
Staff was snobby, and rude. They turned me away at the desk even though I had a reservation already made! Get rid of the man working there, October 7th at 3 PM.
- 5/5
Nice
- 5/5
Only negative to entire stay was mattress was WAYYYY to soft. Otherwise EXCELLANT.
- 2/5
The issue with the property was we checked in about 430 and when we got to our room there was maintenance happening I the room directly above ours with loud hammering, drilling, sliding things across the floor when I asked the front staff how long they would be there was told 30-45 minutes longer which would’ve put it at 5-515. We went out and got back to our room and at 700 the banging was still going on. For staying one night and expecting to relax when you get to your stay this was not good. Ac did not cool the room.
- 5/5
Everything was nice- no complaints
- 1/5
The reservation was not for the correct date so when we arrived, we were told there was a room available but he would need to change us double to change it!!! Will not stay there again.
- 4/5
Breakfast was fresh and had a decent variety. For long stay folks (we were there for 5 nights) , we would have enjoyed a protein selection other than hard boiled eggs. Something hot would have also been enjoyed (sausage, scrambled eggs, waffles)
- 5/5
Big rooms, clean lobby.
- 5/5
Parking good, food lacked protein.
- 3/5
Very basic all the way around.
- 5/5
It was nice. Perfect for a night.
- 5/5
Check in was easy and room was dope would definitely come back again!
- 1/5
the room that we stay is not clean a lot stains at thecdesk. we found three kissing bugs one in the bed and by the table and in the ceiling. the toilets are clogged. some lights in the room is not working properly.
- 3/5
Would not stay here again.
- 5/5
We booked the Spark on the way into town for a wedding. The location was great for the wedding in Evergreen. It was close enough for going out afterwards and far enough to be quiet for restful sleeping. The staff was helpful and friendly.
- 5/5
I just started working in Lakewood and I found this hotel it’s so convenient, very clean, quick check in and staff was very nice. Will book here everytime I need to stay here.
- 3/5
Bare minumum. No in room coffee. Mini fridge was on the floor and short of getting on your knees, pretty worthless. Will not stay at a spark again
- 5/5
Clean room, and nice staff. The stay was pleasant
- 3/5
Staff was friendly, elevator stopped working for a little while and we had to take stairs. The tub creaked so loud, I actually thought I might fall through. Bed was average, breakfast was average.
- 5/5
good bagels for breakfast
- 5/5
Clean and spacious room.
- 4/5
The lower rating on the property condition was because the elevator got stuck. Otherwise it was fine, and I really enjoyed the room cleaner who actually cleaned up after me and made my area neat.
- 5/5
Great staff , the lady, I believe her name was Drea, who checked me in was very friendly and followed through to make sure my room was satisfactory Great stay
- 5/5
We liked the wood floors which made the room seem neat and tidy. It was very quiet and parking was convenient. Check in was very easy. We were very pleased and enjoyed our stay.
- 5/5
The room and staff were amazing but yall should start expecting chime cards as a payment
- 4/5
It was a very good stay
- 4/5
Room was nice, but the bathroom was old and fixed many, many times. Not comfortable.
- 4/5
The only thing i would recommend for improvement would be the breakfast options.
- 4/5
Our room was clean and and the staff was friendly. There was not in room coffee. This is an older hotel that has been renovated poorly. It was nice to have several restaurants within walking distance. Overall our stay was okay and I expected more from a Hilton property.
- 5/5
Nice place to stay
- 4/5
Overall it was a good stay for what we needed. Do not book a first floor room, walls are paper thing and you can hear everything at the front desk and they are not quiet even over night. Other than that there was nothing to complain about.
- 4/5
Unfortunately a disappointing bfast because there were no hot protein options and no waffle maker. More continental. This is a nice place, but just a renovation of an older hotel taken over by Hilton. I did find the bed comfortable. And it was clean, and quiet overall.
- 3/5
It says by Hilton so I expected Hilton quality. Far from it.
- 3/5
Ok hotel
- 3/5
Old and run down
- 4/5
The hotel room was wonderful. The breakfast left a lot to be desired!
- 5/5
Der Raum war toll. Die Sitzmöglichkeiten beim Frühstücken sind sehr begrenzt. Gut wäre es auch, einen Becher oder ein Glas auf dem Zimmer zu haben.
- 5/5
Economical for a larger room with good bed/shower. Older property but pet friendly a big plus
- 5/5
Have a discount for people staying due to family members in the hospital
- 4/5
.
- 5/5
Clean comfortable room, quiet. Close to Red Rocks. Enjoyed the stay.
- 4/5
Excellent stay. Not fancy, but has all the boxes checked. Also, near Red Rocks if you need a place to stay after watching a show.
- 5/5
This is an excellent mid priced hotel. Convenient to shopping and restaurants . Far enough from downtown Denver to not suffer from gridlock. Breakfast is light with cereals, breads, juice and hardboiled eggs. Only complaint is that the rooms don't have coffee makers.
- 5/5
It’s really great for the price
- 5/5
The hotel was convenient to a lot of amenities in the area, shopping, food and an easy quick drive to the Colorado Mall in Lakewood.
- 4/5
Stayed for a meeting with out of state friends visit. Good time, hotel was clean, bed was comfortable. Will use again.
- 5/5
Awesome
- 5/5
The stay was amazing. Love the room!! The only thing would be nice is to add laundry bag for dirty clothes.
- 3/5
I wish there hadn't been a giant hole in the ceiling where the smoke alarm was supposed to be, and wish the floors in the room and bathroom had been even a little clean. Otherwise, it was fine.
- 5/5
We like it very much, thanks.
- 5/5
Front desk was very friendly and immensely helpful
- 5/5
Recently renovated to Hiton Spark. Nice update, no carpet in room, yay!! Comfortable bed, clean room and bathroom!! I would stay again!!
- 1/5
Front desk lady was very rude. For a Hilton break off this place is nasty, carpets are 20 years old and looked like the belonged in circus circus in the 80's
