We didn’t know until we arrived that the hotel had a dinosaur theme. Great if you have kids that like dinosaurs. The breakfast bar had more choices than we were expecting. It was great each day we had it. The staff was very polite and helpful as well!

Pictures showed a chess board and checkers board for entertainment. Neither were there. Bathrooms are extremely small. Breakfast ended early each day, so we had slim pickings. Good selection of apps and channels on the tv. Cool dinosaur fossils everywhere and murals in the back of the hotel.

Or a one night stand-a-thon if you got tricks lined up! That's all! If I could give it no stars! I would! STAY AWAY FROM HERE!

This was a great place to stay. It is outside of Denver, but that was fine for us. The breakfast was great and we enjoyed the outdoor pool. It was an older hotel, but very clean and well maintained.

Showed up for breakfast and it was torn down early. Kind of a bummer. The property is clean quiet and nice.

The room was basic the usual microwave and mini fridge. No problem there. There was an issue with the bedding. There was a very strong chemical/cleaner smell on the sheets and blanket. It overwhelmed room. We asked the front desk for new bedding and was handed a wad of blankets and sheets that didn’t smell. I have no problems with the young guy at the front desk he was helpful as he could be. He seemed to be the only one on staff so he had his handful. If you are passing through and are wondering about location there is a lot of homeless roaming around. The night we were there someone set a fire in a garbage can right outside our room it was bad enough that we were evacuated. Fire department and police were called. Ultimately the guy was released with a trespassing ticket and send on his way. Only to return 3 hours later. The stay was a nightmare. I reached out to the owner with no response. I wish more people would talk about location in reviews. Location MATTERS.

Room and hotel itself were very clean and staff were great. Older hotel so some stuff coming off the wall like trim. Only complaint is the beds are hard as rocks. The breakfast was phenomenal though! Would recommend. Good area and very safe property.

They were supposed to have a restaurant and bar and a suite. None was the case the suite was on the second floor with no elevator. I had just had back surgery and could not do stairs. The restaurant was closed and they did not know if it will ever open same with the bar

Really cool environment if you are into dinosaurs and fossils. The hotel is older and shows its age in places. But it's clean and well maintained. Bed is not too bad. HVAC is noisy (we've had 2 different rooms with the same issue). Staff is courteous and the included breakfast is pretty good with fresh scrambled eggs, green chili, some kind of meat and potatoes. The coffee is awful, but everything else is quite good.

This was a total surprise and probably the most interesting motel we have ever stayed at, with the way cool, not kitschy, dinosaur theme. I need to come back with our grandsons! The pool was terrific, rooms spacious, with hard surface flooring, terrific breakfast and a great price.

Great hotel. We stayed 4 nights. We booked for an event at Red Rocks, it was very close, made it very easy to get to the concert. Lots of restaurants and stores around. Plus, a very fun dinosaur theme. AC worked well. Clean room. Free breakfast. Would stay here again.

Really loved our stay at this very clean and comfortable hotel close to Red Rocks! All of the staff were great, especially the hardworking breakfast lady. We loved the eggs, potatoes, and chile verde!

Good location within 20 mins of red rocks. Waffles was good. Basic hotel, cheap price. Friendly staff. Free parking. Hotel is over 2 floors and doesn’t have a lift but was able to accommodate a room on the ground floor. Window was left unlocked. Not very thick bedding, although they do have storage heater that you can provide own warmth. No hand rails in shower but was able to provide a anti-slip mat on request. Few issues with key not working but was apologetic and resolved quickly. Lots of worker vans in car park, people taking outside and in hallways early morning.

I got sick the last two days of our stay & housekeeping was wonderful. They didn't mind changing our sheets or providing us with extra towels as needed. Finally, the breakfast staff kept everything full, hot, fresh & clean. We would definitely stay here again!

I stayed at this Mpotel 5 nights. I first night I informed them that the floor lamp didn'r work and it is very hard to see at the desk. I informed them 4 days later that it still not working. It is 5 day now and it still is not working.

Room was dirty. Shower head fell off while showering. I had an emergency to leave early, they would not return my money for the extra day i paid for. They were NOT fully booked up to do that to me. This place looks nothing like in the pictures. Gross. The walls are so thin you can hear everything that people are saying next door.

The craziest part of this terrible stay was that there were definitively drug deals and prostitution going on ALL NIGHT IN THIS HOTEL and in the rooms directly across from mine. If I wasn’t so tired from driving all day I would have left and even slept in my car. If you can call this a hotel as this was utterly the worst stay I’ve had in a hotel and I’ve stayed at Motel 6’s. Room definitely DID NOT MATCH the photos on the website. No carpeting. Work was being done on many rooms and was very dirty. Dust and debris all over the halls. Construction materials all over out the door to parking. Door to the room had literally a TWO INCH GAP and the hallways had super bright lights on all day and alll night. I had to take towels and block the light so it didn’t light up the room all night. I AM NOT JOKING OR EXAGGERATING the gap under the door and the lights from the hallway lit up the entire room without using the towels. I was thoroughly disappointed in this stay and caution anyone ahead of thinking of staying here. Desk clerk spoke little English and claimed he couldn’t give a refund or even a discount. If you can help it, please consider sleeping somewhere else.

Price When I walked into the room it smelled like dog pee and the heater didn’t work I called the front desk he said turn it on it’ll kick on as I got settled in I waited and it never kicked on so I called him again he said he would move me so I moved to the room next door and as I was resettling in he called me from the lobby and let me know it works and it kicked on but it never did for me so I don’t know what was happening

The lobby was nice. The gentleman behind the front desk when we checked in and out was very unfriendly and rude which was disappointing. He was equally rude and abrasive over the phone. The room had what looked to be blood stains on the carpet and the bathroom was about the size of a small closet and had very poor ventilation so the ceiling was covered in moldy spots. The cable box for our Tv was unplugged and dangling from the wall so that didn’t work either. The pillows didn’t even qualify for the definition of a pillow, more like a small empty pillowcase.

Love the hot tub and breakfast

One of the only issues I had with this property is it says it has a heated swimming pool and hot tub that is open all year around and that is one reason I used to stay here in the past, but when I stayed there this time, the pool in the hot tub were completely empty and not in use. However, everything else was good. Room was clean. Staff was friendly. Breakfast was good content with my overall stay.

The staff was great. Took care any issues that came up. Hotel is under new management and compared to my previous stay this visit felt less than anticipated. Work needs to be done to bring this hotel up to acceptable standards. Don’t cut corners.

Breakfast is really good especially homemade green chili. Great place to stay with dogs, places to walk them and theyare welcomed there. There is also a small nice bar and grill across the road The Rusty Bucket.

They were doing construction on the rooms after 5 pm at night when I arrived. I was given a room surrounded by construction materials and workers. A man was roaming around the halls and left. I waited at least 5 minutes twice for a front desk clerk. It felt unsafe and unmonitored for a single female traveler. I ended up getting a refund but the front desk clerk was not great to work with. Expedia made me get a manager and wasted 45 minutes of my time after a long day of traveling.

The room was very nice. Ground floor so it was easy with my things and my huge dog. Walking around the property was peaceful and educational. I really liked the dinosaur theme. Relatively close distance to other things. Worth every penny!

The rooms at this hotel are not safe. This hotel is using thin white extension cords to plug in their refrigerators and microwaves. Refrigerators and microwaves don’t have a dedicated plug. Extension cords are only supposed to be used on a temporary basis. This hotel is a fire hazard.

Nice quiet place to stay, staff was awesome.

We actually ended up having to extend our stay due to hospitalization of a family member and the hotel accommodated without issue. I normally only care about a bed to sleep in but we ended up staying in our room quite a bit. It’s very quiet around here even being close to 285, you barely hear the traffic! I never heard neighbors tv or conversations in our room (even though I heard talking walking in the hall)! The staff has been polite and helpful! The breakfast is pretty good (real eggs) with a decent variety!

I do like the design of the hotel (dinosaurs), the place is “ok/good” for the price; the stuff wasn’t the most incredible but was ok, nice breakfast, nice pool and hot tub, I truly enjoyed it, I can tell that after spending so much money on Hyatt or Hilton at downtown, this small hotel has an incredible atmosphere that makes me want to go back to the hotel again, 8.88/10 (~130 dlls P/night). Pros: Nice hot tub. GYM. Good pool. Nice facilities on the room/hotel. Ice machine. Enough towels for the pool. Good A/C. Good buffet/breakfast. Good decoration, incredible for the kids, and adult. Good house kipper. Good location if you live in Lakewood or you plan to go to southwest plaza/Belmar park. Books for tourists. Dinosaurs. Excellent waffles. Good people on the kitchen. Nice Apples. Negative: No water/chips as gifts for your stay. Poor quality of the key for the room. Not security, (the people were smoking on the pool). The size of the gym is really small (if you will use it…, be advised). No bar service. Not an excellent clean room. You are faraway from downtown Denver. The parking lot can be problematic. No v.parking. No shows. Recommendations: Put a dinosaur in the key of the room, do some shows at least one day per week about dinosaurs, more promotion of the hotel, you can cover the pool/hot tub, put some toys on the pool, better illumination on the pool. This hotel was a pleasant surprise. Everything was very clean. Room was standard, but spotless. A very nice hot breakfast every morning. Dining area was also kept very clean. Check in was easy and staff was friendly. A small selection of snacks and beverages available for purchase in the lobby, which was a life saver when our flight was delayed and we came in very late. Would definitely stay here again if I was traveling to this area again.

I had a pretty terrible experience here. First of all, the key cards would only work once and I had to go get new ones at least 6 times. The first room I checked into wreaked like cigarette smoke, and the carpet was dirty and coming up in spots, stained and old. The door closest to my room was "exit only" because the key entry didn't work. Finally, when I moved rooms after needing to stay an extra day they accused me of having my dog in a room that wasnt pet-friendly after registering my dog at the front desk both check in days. I don't recommend this hotel, my experience was not one i'd recommend for others.

Very nice staff and very clean rooms

I really liked the interior of the location, but would have appreciated all the doors working rather than having to walk to the main lobby everytime I wanted to get back into the hotel. Around the area felt very unsafe due to the lack of security to be seen and the amount of homeless people around.

TV didn't work. I went to front desk 3 times. He moved us to another room. The TV was old and small. The halls were dirty. Only 1 ice machine worked which was at the other end of motel. The lobby restrooms were locked in the evenings and overnight to keep out illegal activities. One entrance door on the side would only allow exit not entrace. Young people were running throughout from rooms to rooms. We chose this hotel because we were told there was RV parking available but there wasn't. We took up many parking spots. I would not recommend staying here.

This hotel was good for two nights. The bed was comfortable, and it was quiet in the hotel through the day and night. The carpet looks like it needs to be replaced, other than that it was OK.

Over all it was a quiet, safe area which is most important in a big city! It had a hot breakfast with eggs, sausage, tater tots, and even green chile! Bed was comfortable, bathroom was small, and has a dinosaur theme. Pleasent stay, biggest gripe was the front desk guy was new and not trained so took forever for him to check me in.

Tried to charged me twice. I was fine with the hold fee, but they charged me the rate with the hold fee twice.

Overall I would have to say that this Best Western was pretty good. The only issues that I had was the comfort of the bed. I could feel the springs in the mattress. The other issues was how loud the cleaning crew was in the morning. I could hear the staff talking loudly outside my door at 8am when I was still trying to sleep. Other than those two issues, my stay was good and I would stay there again in the future.

The bed is too firm, breakfast is mediocre, the pool is green, and customer service is lacking. I asked for extra pillows and was told they have no extra pillows until housekeeping came the next morning. What hotel doesn't have the capability to give extra pillows or towels? I also tried to discuss a partial refund for a booking I have a week later and the woman at the front desk was not helpful. I prepaid when I booked and that exact same room is now $73 cheaper. I guess that just goes to show that you shouldn't stay at the same hotel within 10 days if you haven't stayed there before. The average reviews don't accurately reflect my opinion of this hotel.

The carpert was so filthy that our feet were sticky. The beds were clean. And the Staff is always lovely but this was our 4th visit to the Best Western and it has gone down in quality each visit. We will not return and will book a different stay next year.

The beds definitely don't look fluffy and comfortable like the ones they show in photos- very uncomfortable, older beds that when you turn over, they about bounce you out of bed! People up partying and loud at 4am. Sound barriers in room are not good- upstairs above us sounded like a wrestling match was going on. Breakfast food options limited as compared to other BW's and very basic. Holes in black out curtains let light in. A/C super loud and made an annoying high pitched sound. Pretty disappointing stay.

Great older property that is really well run. Rooms were clean. Pool was great. Hot breakfast was well tended and staff was always friendly and helpful. Parking is easy. Everything was easy actually. It’s older so some things show wear but overall this place is clean, safe and quiet with great amenities.

This property was perfect for our trip for a concert at Red Rocks. It has plenty of parking and is in a fairly quiet area. The staff was friendly and helpful. The breakfast offered lots of options, and the breakfast staff were so helpful, offering to carry drinks to our table, etc... Our only complaint was one of the exterior doors located on our side of the property was unable to be used, forcing us to enter through the main entrance each time. While this wasn't a huge inconvenience, it would have been nice to have the door accessible. The beds (and pillows) were great!

The front desk staff was nice but housekeeping woke me up at 8 am to try to clean my room. Breakfast was the same both days we were there. The hotel itself was older but very cute and entertaining.

Place was very clean , even the parking lot , Helpful staff and breakfast was quite good as well . ( lost 1 star as the hot tub was down when we were there , Wife was looking forward a nice soak after a long day of travel and room was pictured as having a tub , only had a shower )

The free breakfast was bad

Cool and unique. Fun for kids
