SpringHill Suites by Marriott Austin West/Lakeway

There was a bug in one of our beds. We brought it up to the front desk and we were offered an ice cream as a compromise. We asked for management to reach out to us and never heard from them. We brought it up again at checkout and they said “that would never happen here.” Asked again for a manager to reach out and still nothing. We had 7 guests in our room and had 1 towel in the bathroom. Conditioner bottle in the shower was empty and never refilled.

The room was clean, but the bed was uncomfortable and really hard. We requested third floor and could hear whoever was above us on the third floor, along with toilet flushing, etc. Breakfast was wiped out by 9:20 on a weekend, so we had to opt for breakfast somewhere else. Was not a bad stay, but not the best either.

Stayed over a Saturday night that the front desk guy said they didn't have high occupancy. Property was clean from outside, and room was spacious. We had to ask for a sheet/blanket set for the extra bed, extra towels because only had 2 bath towels for 3 people, and the phone didn't work in the room. Breakfast is included and it was ok. Refills of food that ran out were not speedily replaced, and having only one waffle iron for the whole hotel created a long line. Overall, hotel was a good stay, just need some easy tweaking to make it to the excellent status.

Breakfast was good and included with the room. Size was perfect for our family of 5. Location was great for what we were in town for (tournament at Bee Cave Sports Complex). Met all of our needs! There was nothing that I didn't like. This hotel was perfect for our needs.

Gym is very small and limited. The first room we were given was moldy and dirty. We changed rooms a the second room was good.

The staff was friendly and helpful. The property was well-maintained and clean. The room was comfortable. The location was perfect for our visit. The bathroom was across the foot of the bed. It made it seem less private. Though the doorway was attractive, it was a frosted glass which allowed light to disturb my sleeping husband as I had to wake up early.

The staff at this location were entirely unhelpful. Lines piled up at the front desk regularly with no attempt to help triage needs or really any acknowledgement of the delay. The elevators were both broken, and our toilet was clogged. Neither issue could be fixed as they told us that maintenance was not on site and could not be reached. The rooms were relatively clean.
