- Quiet and spacious rooms
- Friendly and helpful staff
- Outdated facilities in need of renovation
- Cleanliness issues reported by multiple guests
- 5/5
We loved the hotel. We got the two bedrooms suite. Was ideal for our older daughter and for us. Very comfortable and clean. The staff was very friendly.
- 2/5
This place definitely needs a major makeover. The room was subpar, and we ended up staying somewhere else. The staff was welcoming & understanding.
- 4/5
Staff was great, breakfast was great, parking was great, but the rooms are in desperate need of a refresh. The rooms are very old and out dated.
- 4/5
Great place overall. The rooms are old, bathtub did not drain properly.
- 4/5
Great place to stay!
- 3/5
Location Out dated, broken game room equipment. The hotel needs updating badly
- 5/5
It was a wonderful stay, we really enjoyed the stay! :) one of the best places! :) so beautiful and comfortable! :) will come back again. :)
- 4/5
We enjoyed the breakfast and the comfortable bed. Room was clean and staff were friendly and responsive. The grounds are lovely but the inside of the suite needs an update with carpet and paint. Would stay again for location, staff and cleanliness.
- 3/5
You need to change that policy. Other than that we really liked our stay and would stay again IF and only IF it were for a much longer visit. We will recommend it to people IF they are planning a longer stay.
- 5/5
Clean room. Sitting area with a fireplace. Was a little bummed that it wasn't a gas fireplace, but overall nice stay! Good breakfast options
- 5/5
Clean rooms and friendly staff. Every staff person I spoke to was so helpful and friendly.
- 4/5
Breakfast was decent. Enjoyed the hot tub as well.
- 3/5
The layout of the room and having two bedrooms and bathrooms was ideal for our traveling family. However, the room was not clean and it was very dated. We aren’t overly picky about hotels but this one was pretty dirty and old. The bedding was clean though and since we only stayed one night, we overlooked the rest and checked out the next day. We won’t be back.
- 3/5
Roll out couch was bad. Asked for toilet paper and towels at 7:30 am. Never delivered.
- 0.5/5
Front desk who works there? What do you mean and also takes 45 minutes find my name as soon as trying to call you guys she says 00 I find it. She’s trying to book me with more money. Has only one blanket and inside the room very cold
- 5/5
Breakfast was great and the parking was nice and spacious for our big vehicle.
- 5/5
Room was perfect! And just want to give a shoutout to Amanda she really went above and beyond during our stay and answered our questions! We”ll be back for Labor Day weekend this year!
- 1/5
No hot water. My gf had to boil water for their bath which is b.s when u spend $160 for one night. The tub drain was clogged. Noisy dog next door keep us up all night barking.. I'm very disappointed in my recent stay here at this location....
- 5/5
Staff was excellent, beds were comfy!
- 3/5
My only notes is that the room was a lot more dated than advertised, the fire place was not gas so unusable because I’m not going to hunt down firewood for it. Smelled a little musty but overall not bad.
- 2.5/5
The room was spacious and the front desk staff upon checking was wonderful. Deferred maintenance. The shower diverter needed work. There was a ticking noise from the maintenance closet that kept us awake. The stovetop wasn’t cleaned properly, causing smoky fumes when using it. And, you needed to purchase a Duraflame log from the front desk in order to use the fireplace.
- 5/5
Yes, Room was spotless
- 4.5/5
Away from the freeway so it’s really quiet. Big room with kitchen and fireplace, good breakfast
- 1/5
Very old dirty… stairs are very steep way too dangerous for kids…
- 4.5/5
Our one regret was that we were never informed about the pool, hot tub or the game room upstairs. My husband suffers from chronic pain as a result of his arthritis. Being able to soak in a hot tub would have been very beneficial for him. We found out about it on the morning we were checking out. Him and I would have enjoyed the game room as it would have been better then just retiring to our room. I over heard about it when the hostess was checking in another customer. Pet friendly. Great location. Beautiful property. The rain.
- 3/5
Had to switch rooms because of the noise from the upstairs unit. Computers were down and it took some time to check in and get keys made. We ended up locked out of our room and had to have new keys made again. Breakfast was nice and staff was friendly but the property needs a renovation
- 5/5
Everyone is very nice! Good breakfast! Rooms are very comfortable.
- 5/5
All good!
- 5/5
Just 20 mins from Oregon airport. Had free parking and all the amenities. Rooms were clean and stocked. Breakfast was good and staff also very friendly and let us do an early checkin as we had early flight. Our stay was comfortable.
- 5/5
This is the second time we have stayed here and it was just as relaxing as the last time. I had the pool all to myself for a full day. What a treat!! Loved having the large grassy area for our pups also.
- 4/5
Not enough parking near buildings has to park a little far and I’m pregnant
- 5/5
Comfortable property.
- 3/5
Great idea and layout but very outdated. Smelled like smoke when we first got into the room. You could feel broken floor tiles under the carpet and linoleum. Desperately needs to be updated.
- 5/5
Beautiful property, loved the rooms very roomy, staff was amazing and very accommodating. I saw a comment about the breakfast. I found the breakfast to be great with lots of options. I wish upstairs didn’t get so hot downstairs felt amazing (very minor)
- 4/5
Worked for large family and dog in town for a wedding. Staff friendly, great breakfast, and room clean.
- 4/5
The location was great with easy Freeway access. The property & rooms were tired and in need of a renovation.
- 5/5
The service is the best
- 5/5
Just remember that this is like an apartment complex converted to a Residence Inn and so you will need to drive to your room after you check in and walk back for breakfasts in the AM. The breakfast is very good with a lot of variety.
- 5/5
Great for family shopping trip.
- 5/5
Loved the location. Close to so many spots. Having the extra spac was great compared to a hotel room.
- 4/5
It was good for a quick stop over in Portland
- 4/5
We really loved that the property had a awesome pool and basketball court. Staff were very friendly as well. However, the room we stayed in smelled like mildew or mold pretty bad.
- 5/5
Staff was short at breakfast and they were having a difficult time keeping up with demand, but were very cheerful none the less a log in the fireplace would have been nice
- 3/5
The room was clean and spacious, the pool area definitely needs an upgrade, tiles were missing from all around the pool and paint was peeling on fences
- 1/5
We booked a studio apartment supposedly enough to sleep 4 people, 3 adults and one kid. The bed was tiny, not big enough for 2 adults. The pullout couch was a full size at most and squeaky and only one person could sleep on it. They didn’t even provide enough blankets for the pullout bed. We asked a couple of times for extra blankets and both times they had no staff who could provide extra blankets. We gave up and pulled out some sheets from the bed and used them on the floor, so one person had to sleep on the floor all 3 nights. The room did not even have the basic amenities like lotions etc. They didn’t clean the room for the 3 days we stayed there. When asked, the cleaning lady showed the schedule which said cleaning was scheduled for after we left. The kitchen was extremely sparsely furnished. Good thing we didn’t plan to cook much. The ‘game room’ had only an air hockey table which wasn’t working. Breakfast was bare minimum, all three days they had super dried up oatmeal, bland potatoes and were constantly out of bowls and spoons. We had to wait for several minutes every time and a few times the staff told us ‘no bowls for the moment’. I would never go back here again and do not recommend it for anyone. We expected the Marriot brand hospitality and got the opposite. Very disappointing.
- 3/5
I expected a renovated room but the property is out of date.
- 5/5
great hotel. outdoor pool for hot summer days!!
- 5/5
Stayed for 4 nights with our family in a 2-bedroom suite. Property is a little dated but clean and well-maintained. Room was spacious and clean. Ample parking. Breakfast is very good compared to most hotels. Game room was fun for kids. Staff is excellent. Friendly and accommodating. Free bottled water and wine upon check-in was a nice touch. Indian restaurant next door is outstanding. 10/10 will stay here again.
- 4/5
Great for a family stay. Parking was easy; grocery and restaurants are located close by and amenities great. Exterior was a bit dated and sidewalks are a trip hazard, but other than that… great spot and stay.
- 4/5
The property was incredibly quiet and I felt safe staying there by myself. The staff was incredibly kind and helpful. Lots of breakfast options. The room itself was clean, but it needed an update, and the fridge was barely working and smelled horrible.
- 3/5
Quiet and spacious. Didn’t like that the overall property is older and outdated, curtains had rips in them, feels like an apartment. Upstairs you can hear all the footsteps as opposed to a hotel like atmosphere. The shower didn’t drain properly so the tub filled as you’re taking a shower and the water didn’t stay hot the entire duration. Bed isn’t the most comfortable but decent. Small outdated tv in the living room but big tvs in the bedrooms. Upstairs is a loft not a bedroom. Continental breakfast is decent. For the price decent but wouldn’t stay again personally.
- 3/5
Pretty old, as in popcorn cielings and stained carpet. Would be very nice with a good renovation.
- 5/5
Breakfirst was good.
- 2/5
Property needs a good remodeling. Inconvenient to get to gatehouse for breakfast. Need to emphasize stairs only access for 2nd floor.
- 0.5/5
Bad
- 1.5/5
I linked the feeling the location provided. The room reeked of cat urine.
- 4/5
Parking space was limited.
- 2/5
The customer service was great. I was not told ahead of time that my ESA certified dogs were not the same as service dogs so that was an additional charge. The rooms are gross, they stink, outdated and the pool is old. The website is deceiving. Would not have stayed here after checking out the room if it was just my husband and I traveling. Never interested in staying here again.
- 5/5
I can’t eat cheese, most hot selections contained it.
- 2/5
I was there for tennis tournament and did not have time for breakfast There was mold in the shower on ceiling and a couple of stains on the floor near the front door and bathroom area. The metal flashing at the bathroom door is also coming up. The cost of the room was $275.00 did not meet my expectations, way overpriced.
- 2/5
The hotel is in very poor condition. LO is a nice area but this hotel is not clean, not updated, and the inside is very old. The tile in the bathroom had tile with missing grout and their are stains on the walls.
- 1.5/5
The staff were pleasant. It was dreadful. The whole place needs an update. You could feel the springs in the bed and also in the tiny lounge.
- 5/5
Very good
- 4/5
The property is older but clean and functional. The breakfast was excellent and the staff was very accommodating. We would stay there again!
- 4/5
Very good
- 5/5
Clean and quiet
- 3.5/5
The suite was large with two bathrooms. the location was nice. The furniture was old and in terrible condition. The carpet had burn stains. the suite felt very cheap.
- 4/5
It's getting just a bit threadbare and it wasn't clear to us that we needed to make an appt for room cleaning. We may have just missed that info at check in or online communication. I thought we were just to use the magnetized signs on the door to indicate when we didn't want to have cleaning. All in all, we were pleased with our stay, as usual. Thanks!
- 5/5
Was out of service the whole time we were there though
- 3/5
Average property
- 1.5/5
The employees were very friendly and it was nice to have a pool and hot tub. I slept in the pull out couch and it was extremely uncomfortable. My back was sore after our stay. The ice machine in the freezer did not work and even though I reported it on the first day, it was never repaired. However, through the night, the freezer kept making noises as if it was trying to make ice. The employees were very nice about supplying bags of ice for us. Every time the air conditioning kicked it i, it made a loud noise as if someone was kicking it. We had a studio on the first floor and there was someone in the room above us. Whenever they were "home" and walked around the floors squeaked and it sounded like they were right on top of us. They got back late one night and their walking around woke me up.
- 2/5
Property has gone downhill. Poor appearance. WiFi unacceptable. Breakfast subpar. Staff helpful consistently, the saving grace
- 5/5
I enjoyed that it felt like an apartment home with a full kitchen and separate living areas. An improvement would entail a refresh of the units as they are now outdated and look worn.
- 3/5
My room smelled like someone had smoked there and that was disappointing given the hotel forbids it.
- 4/5
I don’t like very much the shower curtain.
- 1/5
Without a doubt, the absolute worst hotel I’ve ever stayed in. I have no idea how this is a Marriott…it should NOT be. This place is horrific. It’s in terrible condition, everything is old and in awful condition from rust, dirt and lack of maintenance. Nothing worked properly. You may need a tetanus shot after using the shower as the floor is all rusted out. The tv is on a swivel across the room so you have wires constantly hanging down, the bathroom most likely keeps people in Australia awake - housekeeping left the unit below ours on for 24 hours so we had to listen to constant loud rattling. None of the outside pathway lights work so it’s extremely dark and unsafe. Everything is covered in mildew. Some people must be living in these units full-time as they have full patios with their broken down briquet grills and Christmas trees. Lots of undesirable people cruising through the complex with their beater cars and music blaring late at night. I’m contacting Marriott directly on this place. Do NOT stay here.
- 5/5
Overall comfy stay.
- 3/5
The room was not very clean.
- 2/5
I've stayed there before so i can compare to past visits and unfortunately cleanliness and maintenance has suffered. The bathroom tiles are corroding, the bathtub has rust stains, the room has a very strong smell of rodent repelent and I took a picture of what looked like droppings to show the front desk assistant who promised to get back to me and never did but charged me full price. There is so much more they could do with the breakfast, even with the covid restrictions. We were charged twice as much as our last visit and their property does not merit the increase. very dissapointing
- 2/5
The property is old, our room smelled bad (like cigarettes and mildew. The bathroom had a big crack in the tile. Everything needs to be updated!
- 3/5
Staff was great!
- 1/5
Run down
- 5/5
Very good experience for staying near Portland
- 4/5
Older facility. Needs updating. Hobbit size toilet.
- 2/5
This property was nice and the kids loved it. But after checking in, we realized a few items: 1. garbage under kitchen sink was not taken out 2. there were dog food pebbles under the pull out couch 3. tub upstairs had a very very slow drain 4. The toilet upstairs was clogged 5. phone downstairs as well as the fan in the living room did not work. I notified front desk before leaving to dinner and they sent someone to unclog the toilet & Clean that up as well as take out the trash. (I did not report the other items as I did not find those items until after dinner). Housekeeping the next morning was very short and seemed moody. My kids said good Morning and she just gave them an ugly glare. We made the best of it.
- 4/5
They advertise a buffet breakfast and at this time no buffet breakfast was served. Only a bagged 3 items inside of something. ( muffin, bagel, cup fruit, yogurt) It changes daily.
- 4/5
For the price though I was disappointed that The shower had almost no water pressure & hot water didn’t last long due to it still coming out mostly through the tubs faucet. Toilet didn’t like flushing either. Ladies at the front desk were always friendly and had me taken care of quickly when I extended. So overall it wasn’t good stay.
- 5/5
Spacious. The kitchen and living room area were great!
- 2/5
Convenient location. Breakfast not so good. Kitchen with very limited things to use. Bathrooms not as clean as they should be. Last but not least, advertised fireplace in the room, but one still has to purchase wood to be able to use it.
- 3/5
Very disappointed with the lack of immenities. No coffee, hair dryer didn't work, not lotions, overall very minimal to offer.
- 1/5
It was incredibly dirty. Hair everywhere, not dusted in what appears to be months. Just gross. After a 14 hour day I ended finding another hotel. Too awful to sleep even after being exhausted.
- 5/5
This place is more like an apartment. They have a full kitchen and lots of room. We lost power and have a small dog, so this was our home away from home! Great stay and recommend it thoroughly. Staff was great too. They are super fast and friendly.
- 5/5
Great place and great location! Loved the cozy fireplace!
- 3/5
This hotel has some serious deferred maintenance. I'm not fussy, but the shower had an 18-inch rust stain, the curtains were torn and stained, the furniture was threadbare and the lights/fan in one of the bathrooms didn't work, nor did the coffeemaker. Disappointing, Marriott!
- 3/5
Terrible guest service check-in around 5pm on 01/16/21. Front desk host was very rude and not friendly at all when I asked to change room to a 2nd floor room. No smile and no acknowledgement of thanks when I said thanks! Terrible! Also the whole Residence Inn needs to be renovated to update especially the bathroom. I will not be coming back to this Residence Inn anytime soon. Really disappointed!
- 5/5
Kind staff
- 1/5
I was under the impression I was checking into a split level two bedroom unit, it was not. It was small with one bed.
- 2/5
Toilet didn't work, had to turn it off. Smelled funny in the room. Uncomfortable bed. The stairs going up to the room was so shotty....I'm almost positive those aren't up to code at this point. Took pictures for proof.
- 4/5
Great amount of space and they are pet friendly which was so amazing. The grounds needed some cleaning, but overall nice place.
- 4/5
Property was quiet and comfortable. The amenities are mostly modern. The exterior of the facilities are showing signs of aging.
- 3/5
Great location and facilities are nice. We did not have the opportunity to use the pool or game rooms, restaurant, etc due to Covid restrictions but they looked very inviting. The biggest downside was the cleanliness. The bathroom was pretty gross when we got there. We ended up changing rooms because of it. It was also really hard to reach the front desk any time we tried. Overall I would stay there again.
- 1/5
The expectation to find a coffee setup, a dishwasher pod, a remote control for the tv should not be affected by Covid. All the “homey” touches have been eliminated
- 5/5
This was the perfect place for our gathering. Thank you for a great stay.
- 2/5
It is an old facility, appliances and furniture were all aged. The dishwasher in the room leaks when it's running.
- 1/5
After getting a few hours of sleep, headed to the breakfast room at 9am for a quick bite and a cup of coffee before leaving for someplace where I may actually be able to sleep and it was cleared out. Didn’t even look like breakfast or anything had been put out. Went to the front desk to ask, and left after waiting 5 minutes with no one there. I understand breakfast may be adjusted due to COVID-19, but if that’s the case update your website and make that clear when guests check in. Would definitely not recommend this place to anyone looking for anything that resembles a restful stay that delivers what you pay for.
- 3/5
The problem was the refrigerator in the room was so noisy that everytime it cycled overnight it would wake us up. Other than that i would probably stay there again.
- 5/5
Nice
- 5/5
Nice facility, clean rooms, a little confusing to find your room if you check-in after dark. We took a wrong turn (thought we followed clerk's instructions!) and I ended up pushing my walker over muddy ground to get back on track without a major back-track. But the stay was super, breakfast was good, staff were quite friendly ... just wonderful overall!
- 3/5
Clean location in line with most other stays, however i was placed in a lower floor and it appeared as if the occupants in the above floor had a circus on parade all night-wasnt worth complaining, staying elsewhere the rest of my stay in Oregon
- 4/5
What would be lovely to find: An indoor (i.e. “all weather”) pool and spa Another lamp—one that could be moved to a few locations like near couch or chair) And —-the bed set up so that the bathroom light did not hit the head of the bed ( and those trying to sleep!) when it was turned on. Other than that, wonderful.
- 4/5
Room had a fireplace, but we were never told whether it was wood burning or gas. We discovered upon entrance that it was wood burning. It would have been nice to have been able to obtain wood at the hotel.
- 4/5
Good location and value
- 3/5
We liked the area. Hotel was very old, it needs updating. We people above us woke us up every morning by just walking.
- 4/5
Last minute family emergency with lots of needs. Loved the divided space for the large family gathering. Dog friendly and very comfortable beds. Obviously the space is older and the carpets are worn, sofa sleeper was fine for kids but adults not so much. We would stay here again. The price for a last minute booking and for the older outdated facility was a little high.
- 4/5
Solid option. Our suite smelled slightly funky, and there were a couple visible stains on the wall next to the bed that had me wondering a little bit. Overall, pretty clean and solid option, I would stay there again.
- 5/5
Very spacious and comfortable. Many extras and lots of activities to do.
- 5/5
My wife and I were visiting family in Lake Oswego. And, we brought along our little dog. The Residence Inn provided the perfect combination of location, accommodations and service.
- 2/5
Was not accommodating at all. I paid for a 1 bedroom and they stuck me in a studio, that had burn holes in the carpet, and what appeared to be brown blood stains on the bedding. Breskfast was not pleasing. This was a birthday trip for my child and we will not be returning to this location ever again
- 5/5
Clean, large, 3 TVs, 2 full bathrooms. What a great place.
- 4/5
For the amount I expected a nicer place and it was a 1 bedroom with an open loft, not a true second, private bedroom—was described as a two bedroom suite.
- 4/5
Large rooms, kitchen and the grounds. Staff very friendly.
- 3/5
The hotel location is in a good spot to visit our family with several local restaurants nearby. The grounds of the hotel are nice and green. But the hotel needs a renovation, badly. Seemed overpriced but demand was high the weekend we stayed so....Bathroom fan was LOUD. Bathroom needed 2 sinks. Sofa bed mattress was awful/uncomfortable for our son. The air conditioner fans were directly above the bed so the fan blew right at your face as you tried to sleep. Air conditioning fan was LOUD kicking on and off all night. Lights outside entrance door were matted with cobwebs. The breakfast room seemed small for the total number of rooms. Breakfast was packed with people!! The set up of the room seemed odd; you couldn't dump your garbage because there were so many people in line to make waffles.
- 5/5
My entire family was impressed and all very comfortable!!
- 5/5
We enjoyed the beauty of the grounds, the layout and coziness of the room, and the location of the hotel. Although we enjoyed the continental breakfast, the room was a little small and congested for the amount of people eating.
- 5/5
The staff are warm and friendly, the rooms felt cozy and pleasent and our experience was magical! Thank you Residence Inn by Marriott👍
- 4/5
Overall pretty good. Great communication via email before we checked in. Hotel is a little outdated, but not bad. Grounds are beautiful. We did have to ask for a luggage holder and there were not any extra pillows or blankets, which I expect from higher end hotels.
- 4/5
It was great, other than my car getting hit in the parking lot and there no cameras.
- 5/5
Room was spacious and breakfast was good. Felt like home
- 5/5
Nice room and breakfast
- 4/5
The kids liked the room. I did not think that it looked like the pictures online (no loft area). Things were clean but a bit worn. There was a large stain in the bath tub and and something dripping from the roof directly onto the door mat so it gets you each time you enter or leave the room. Over all it’s fine. Thanks.
- 5/5
Great place to stay while a new kitchen floor was installed in our house. Residence Inn easily accommodated three kids, two dogs, busy school and work schedules, and two exhausted parents.
- 5/5
Clean property and nice people. Rooms were spacios for larger families.
- 5/5
It was a good overnight stay. Front desk lady was kind and polite.
- 3/5
Yikes. Paper thin walls and ceilings. Uncomfortable mattresses. Everything had stairs (even the first floor). No dishwashing soap. No "Kitchen" amenities. Just bad. But the service and the breakfast in the morning were really great!
- 5/5
We really enjoyed our stay. I received an email prior to check in, asking if we needed anything extra. The room was super clean and beds are amazing. When in area we will definitely stay again.
- 5/5
Heat air system is quite noisy.
- 5/5
Everything was great here. I have never been able to say this anywhere else i have stayed. I highly recommend this place.
- 5/5
great spot!
- 5/5
Lovely place- clean, quiet, friendly—- we definitely will stay here again.
- 4/5
2 nights, good, quiet, uneventful
