For this price I do not expect a whole lot but I had to clean our bathroom before using it and I still didn't want to use it. The bed looked clean and we were only there one night.

Great room and would recommend. My only issue is having to pay for parking.

The only issue is the parking, as they charge an extra fee for cars, and I don’t like that. Other than that, everything is very good. The housekeeping staff is very attentive and kind. Overall, they provide excellent customer service.

Great value. Room had a microwave, cooktop, dishwasher, and full fridge so it would be ideal for a longer stay.

The rug in front of the bed was wet and the only chair in the room and the closet had dirt and crumps on them, we showed up at 2 to check and were told we had to wait till 4 to check in because they still had to clean our room. I understand sometimes they can get busy and miss little things. But we were told to wait till 4 just to check into a dirty room.

I got in late and left early, so I appreciated their well lit parking lot too.

After checking in, I found out that the hotel description was inaccurate. For example, the hotel does not have a pool or a gym as advertised. Then, when it was time to check out, the staff falsely accused me of taking alcohol from the minibar.

I loved the location. It was safe, clean and quiet and the freeways were conveniently nearby. The nearest Tesla charging station was only 2 miles away which was awesome. I was surprised about the regular sized refrigerator. I didn't use the stove but it was nice to have it in case I needed it. There was a tiny issue with the bathroom sink but totally fixable! The front desk staff was really nice to pick a room for us on the 3rd floor.

Kitchen had everything I needed although wouldn't mind a sponge. Place is a home away from home

The worst Sonesta in the US And I’ve stated at several, You have to clean your own room! Take out your own trash! Go to the front desk with your dirty towels to get clean towels, ask for TP. There is no housekeeping, no vacuuming, mopping until you reach your 15th night! They don’t tell you this at check in or online. If you enjoy living in filth and working for free at the hotel, then this is your hotel. We booked a suite, the photos of the suite did not match the room. I asked A she gave me a blank stare and said that’s all they had. I tried an hour later speaking with J, he actually apologized but was unable to give us the suite we reserved. There is no pool. It’s in an industrial park next to a housing tract. Their “dog run” is a patch of dirt with 3 trees and a bench. There is dog poop outside everywhere all over the property grounds. The only plus is the free laundromat. The staff is not personable, not helpful. The only hospitable staff member was J. Do not recommend this hotel at all.

I would not stay here again. I was on the second floor and the noise from above was terrible. I asked for a top floor room an they attempted to accommodate but 1 room offered was next to the noisy elevator and a second room had a broken bed. My mistake for not realizing that the suite type hotel would have long term sketchy type tenants. Never again.

The property looked clean, although my room had a faint cigarette smoke smell. There is a $7.00 parking fee which is very unusual for this type of hotel in this area. The hotel itself was quiet and comfortable over all.

Take everything above, except for the bed. Bed was very comfy. It was away from all traffic noise.......that's what warrants my recommendation.........and that alone.

It smelled so good throughout the entire hotel and that was nice to walk into. The front desk lady who helped us was the sweetest. Our room was perfect, the bed was so comfy. I had my dog with me and even she had the best time. We will definitely be back.

The fire alarm went off three times in the evening. They had the fire marshal come and make a sweep. Apparently it was false alarms.

Good Room, one host was very good some of the others appeared to really not want to be there. The one an Asian lady always found a way to help while the others just could not be bothered. Our room was really good and the amenities are good except the printing capability in the business center.

The evening front desk gal was great, she really took care of us and her patience with the family in front of was amazing. The room was clean, the property was quiet and parking was sufficient.

We have stayed here multiple times in the past. We told the front desk clerk as it works great for us visiting OC great park and how close it is. We asked for a late check out and we're told 1130am. We were hoping for 12noon but could not be accomdated. Having stayed there multiple times I expected they would work with us over 30 min.

The room was clean and nice and the housekeeping staff was helpful when i got locked out of my room and again when i requested more coffee. However, the toilet ran continuously and occasionally made loud whining noises. Room 314.

We had three rooms for three nights . One of the room had problem with the hot water for the shower when used in the evening. I reported the problem after the second night. Unfortunately, the problem persisted.

Room had fleas! I ended up with about a dozen flea bites before realizing this the next day. It's cool they allow pets but it's ridiculous they don't take measures to make sure any fleas and pests are properly mitigated!!

Very nice stay with two exceptions. The chain should be consistent regarding complimentary breakfast and even though the kitchen amenities were very nice, there wasn’t any place for two people to eat. Easy correction, take out the six useless drawers and in place add a second chair. In addition, you need to provide two luggage holders— very inconvenient

i did not use laundry or exercise room but they seem clean to me. the facility was also clean and quite, so I was able to reset well after each day activity. thanks.

Free laundry is a plus for this property. Kitchen is also fully equipped and you borrow stuff from them if you need a blender, kettle or grill.

There was no nightly housekeeping included in our stay. AC unit was far from room so it wasn’t the most comfortable stay.

Super-friendly front desk staff. There was a trash can in our room that was not emptied, I called front desk staff and the young lady was very apologetic for the inconvenience. Large laundry room, clean gym and quiet property located in a business center.

This was a girls getaway from the family. We wanted a nice quiet hotel. That’s exactly what we got! Very clean and the front desk was so helpful and although we came early for check in, the front desk was so accommodating and was able to get us a room early. We were able to nap and enjoy what amenities they had. We did not use the gym but the gym looked brand new along with the laundry services and there were kitchen applicances that you could borrow as well. Overall, very nice stay, thank you. It’s hidden in the back of other small business. There’s nothing around the hotel to walk too. A block down, there is a small shopping center for food but not walking distance with little kids. I’d say it’s a hotel for business travelers.

Ummm.. it’s an older hotel with a fresh makeover…. But you could still see something’s didn’t blend well with old and the new. The room had a smell but once we had the ac going it went away. The hotel served its purpose on having a safe place to stay.

But rooms were stunk pretty bad.. 3 out of 4 rooms that I had stunk. And the carpet was stained in 2 of them . 1 rooms sink was broken. Another rooms toilet was broken.. Luggage carts were filthy. Because of this I'm shocked it is considered a 3 star hotel.

I was shocked when I pulled the blankets back on the other side of the bed the next morning and felt the bed was wet and smelled of urine…..DISGUSTINGWhen I spoke to the desk she offered no apologies but only said she would have the maids clean the sheets.

I did have to ask for pots to be able to cook with but were available immediately. Our microwave did not work (is on and appears to work but won't go off- CANNOT turn it off unless you wiggle the door just so. It also would not heat. It popped on and off randomly if you sneeze next to it.) room 308 I would definitely stay at this hotel again- only had this issue- But...I brought the microwave issue up on 4 separate occasions to the front desk, and at least 5 people were involved in saying it would be fixed, never was done in 8 days of stay...

The front desk was very unprofessional to my husband when he arrived, but after I walked in and provided all of the ID they changed. The restroom smelled like pee and the entire room had a very, very unpleasant smell. I think they have allowed animals and they have soiled the room. Definitely do not recommend! Very bad experience…

The front desk was amazing. The First Gentleman was very helpful. The lady was great to find us the same room on a weekend, because our car broke down and had to stay another night.

I want to be clear that I am not blaming the staff, as they were polite and responsive when I called. However, the noise was never resolved, and because of it I lost multiple days of work and rest. This was extremely frustrating and made my stay unpleasant. I hope management takes this seriously and provides a solution or compensation, as I feel this was not the level of service and comfort I expected from Sonesta.

Great stay at this very quiet hotel! We loved everything except that the toilet is just very low. When u sit on it ur knees r at ur chest. That is our only complaint, other than that I highly recommend this hotel!

The internet was nearly impossible to connect to, so I used my phone as a hotspot instead. I tried calling the front desk on the phone provided in the room, but the phone was dead.

The staff at the hotel were rude and uncooperative with us. They stated since we booked our stay with a third party they could not help us resolve our issues. We wanted to leave a day early but they would not help us to get credit for the extra day we did not use.

Over 28 days, I searched for something redeeming in my stay at Sonesta Irvine / Foothill, but found little beyond the opportunity to practice restraint. The most disappointing issue: being charged $450 for my service dog—a charge that, to my understanding, contradicts the protections outlined in the Americans with Disabilities Act. Service animals are not pets, and should not incur pet fees. Management’s handling of this matter—and their broader interpretation of hotel policies—lacked not only clarity, accountability, and care, but also raised serious concerns about ethics and respect for the rights of the disabled. In contrast, Expedia stepped in with professionalism and integrity, resolving what the hotel would not. Their actions reflected true service, and for that, I remain a loyal customer. In hospitality, as in life, principle matters. I hope Sonesta takes the time to reflect, adjust course, and adhere to legal requirements—especially regarding extended guest stays and the unlawful charging of pet fees for the disabled’s service animals. — The Quiet Stoic

A/C seems to be tied to movement in the room so if you don’t toss and turn at night the room gets warm. The area is industrial so no close food spots but several choices within 5 miles or less

The room was nice and clean. The pillows were perfect. The staff was friendly and helpful. My expectations were certainly exceeded.

I usually stay at Sonesta suites so I’m used to the area and accommodations. This time around one of the staff members kept coming by my room in the morning asking us to check out. Mind you it was not time to check out which was 11:00 AM. I verified this info and also informed the staff member, but he came by again to knock and tried to get us out of the room. Maybe he was confused or just wanted to clean early. When we did check out at 11 AM that same staff member was in the lobby waiting for us. We pay good money for a nice suite or hotel that can provide some peace on the weekends each month. While sonesta is still our choice of hotel this experience was inconvenient and annoying to say the least.

This location has been remodeled and updated since our last stay. We really liked what they have done with the room decor. Had a good time.

Large closet for storage and a closed door was a nice touch to not stare at clothes hanging and our suitcases and bathroom large and clean with large tub/shower and soap pumps installed . The only one feature in kitchen was I personally dont like cooking on a electric stovetop and prefer gas and wouldve gladly exchanged for dishwasher space is only minor and my own personal touch is all. The laundry room was very clean and people were friendly , the paying for parking was not great for 2 vehicles at $7 each per day added up the bill for a week stay so a deal if people have or need two spots per night would have helped to the added cost and a small jacuzzi/ pool area would have made it a better week in summer for us also. Sonesta’s we have been too have not let us down on cleanliness or added perks so all in all some out weigh others on what peoples likes/ needs ect is all and due to no pool/ jacuzzi and pay parking did discourage us to add extra days , only due to us needing hotel thru June and the other sonesta that has pool/ jacuzzi has no microwaves in rooms or kitchen so unfortunately we did have to split it up for the month to adifferent hotel that offered these amenities overall for a longer stay.

Currently, I'm still awaiting my $200 refundable security deposit which I've not received back four days after checking out. Normally, when I check out of hotels I receive it back within minutes, literally - I know from having stayed in many hotels. Other hotels I'll literally see the refund back immediately and not the case here, so now I'm leaving a complaint because I've tried to inquire about this and I'm still not receiving my refund. If a hotel is going to take this long and hold this much money ($200!) I will not stay there again.

WiFi connectivity was terrible. Not a good place for remote work if you are dependent upon reliable internet. WiFi would cut out in 20 minute intervals for the solid week I was there. I had to go to alternative places like coffee shops near Great Park for reliable WiFi.

There was good and bad about our stay. The room was comfortable, but maybe a little run down and outdated. I loved that it had a kitchenette area and was stocked with dishes, etc., The bed was comfortable. I guess the biggest surprise was that there was no room service. But it worked out ok. We just took soiled towels to front desk and they gave us clean ones and we could empty garbage at end of hall. All in all I enjoyed our stay there and would consider staying again because it was reasonably priced.

The service at the front desk was good and the room was excellent. The only negative was that there was no maid to refresh the room, so we had to go to the front desk for towels, Kleenex, and coffee packs on the second night. Maybe that is normal, but it surprised us.

The bed and pillows were better than in hotels double the price. Truly delightfully comfy after a long day. This hotel chain is for super practical people who want a comfortable clean suite but don’t need too many fancy amenities. Location is boring in a rather industrial area and unfortunately surrounded by fast food places. Great value for a very decent stay. Breakfast was the only thing I missed.

- The kitchen utensils could be improved; rusted or dull kitchen knifes. - No frypan(?) - No one in the reception oriented to the fact that they have small appliances a guest could use during stay: Blender, juicer, etc 🙁

Free laundry and affordable parking are great plus for this. Working kitchenet and gym are also great for longer stays

Arlene was amazing, I booked the wrong type of room and she helped me beyond expectations. I would definitely stay here again with my girls. Room was awesome. Wish they had lotion in the bathroom and trashcan but other then that it was a really good bank for your buck.

Loved the full-sized fridge, and the bathroom felt large, as did the whole place. Only slight cons: I did have a ground floor unit with large windows opening up into the parking lot, which made me a bit nervous about keeping them closed all the time. And most of the light bulbs were flourescent, which is a pet peeve of me, although some were LED. But the bed was comfy, the stay was quiet, and most importantly everything seemed clean. Would recommend for the area.

Staff were really nice and laundry room was big and convenient. The room that we were assigned was next to the boiler room and I hardly slept because it was noisy.

The hotel location was favorable and the staff friendly and helpful. Our only complaint would be the "smell" of the room. Upon check-in, it was late so we didnt bother requesting a change, and also thinking the smell was residual from someone cooking in or near our room. However, the unusual odor never went away for the duration of our stay, and I had to spray room down with Lysol every night, which only temporarily masked the odor. We soon found out, the smell in question was housekeeping's cleaning items they used. We may consider other hotel options in the future.
