Very nice hotel. Prices are reasonable and the rooms are nice, spacious and clean. Highly recommend for those looking to stay in the Lake Forest area.

You should also be notified ahead of time that they are charging you $20 to park in a regular parking lot...seems a bit ridiculous, they didn't park my car for me and we weren't informed of this in advance. BTW, if you want authentic Japanese sushi you have to go to Uoko nearby, real deal, all Japanese.

I feel like the hotel is showing a little bit of wear, but it was very clean and the staff was most accommodating. The room had a little refrigerator, a microwave, and I noticed that there was even a guest laundry facility. I feel like it was reasonably priced. I would certainly stay there again.

I was woke up at 4:30am to the sound of water rushing down from the ceiling in my bathroom. I called the front desk. No one answered. I had to walk down there to find someone. That individual then told me he would go check the floor above to see what was going. Over an hour passed and I had beers nothing, as water contained to pour out from the ceiling. I had to walk down to the front desk again to ask what was going on, and all I was told is that they had called maintenance. I wasn’t offered another room or anything. I had to ask if they could switch me to a different room. The 3rd floor had water coming from the ceiling, not only in my room, but down the entire hall as well.

The room was dirty. The bed linens were all covered in huge stains. They kept the deposit and didn't even think about returning it! They retroactively charged for the service dog and two days of parking, even though they didn't mention it when you checked in! Basically, don't wait for your deposit; they won't give it back! Even if you have a service dog, they'll make you pay anyway! It's unthinkable!

Good location, it said the rooms are sound proof which I don’t think they are. We didn’t hear the traffic from the high way but the ppl around us. Staff was super friendly. Don’t understand the parking fee, plenty of parking.

Room was nice, but it was hard to get a good night sleep since the air conditioning was tough to contorl. Not enough towels. Paid for the free breakfast but only got three choices and service was terrible.

Staff was great. They had a problem with their system crashing so we couldn't check in till after 5pm, but they were very friendly and got us in as soon as they could. Great job!

There’s a parking fee of $20 that I didn’t know when I made a reservation. And I had a free breakfast option included in my stay but the server brought me a check I think for tips. It was a self serve breakfast and there shouldn’t be a check.

Dirty bathroom, hotel refused to make things right. Weird manager and there’s a rude agent called Rene at front desk who’s miserable. Restaurant staff are miserable too and will make your breakfast a bore.

Room was fine, people staying there were horrible. Woke up to the smell of marijuana at 5 am the first night, then dog poop the next day… apparently the staff spoke with the person responsible after the marijuana incident but the dog poop proves otherwise.

The room was clean, the bed comfortable, staff friendly, and the hotel was in a quiet area.

Clean rooms and updated hotel. Service was average except for the male staff who helped us with check-in who was excellent. We called the hotel how early we can check in and we were told 1PM but when we arrived at the hotel we were told rooms were still being cleaned. The male front staff helped us to get in earlier. On the other hand, we requested towels then next day and one of the female front staff told us that it would be brought up. Unfortunately, it wasn't brought up. This was the first Hilton that we experienced this. Maybe in the future, front staff personnel should have a tracking of guest requests and calls to know if they were fulfilled already.

During our 3 night stay, no one cleaned our room until the last day. Called multiple times for new towels. Other than that, the stay was good.

On the down side: Light motion sensor in the bathroom did not work. Had to figure out how to manually turn on the light at night. Paper cups were supplied with the ice bucket for drinks. They leaked.

Room service claim was they are open until 10pm. Called to order room service at 8:27pm and told its closed. No details and abrupt hung-up. We walked downstairs and it had been obvious the restaurant was closed for a while as it was dark and no activity at 8:35pm. Stop advertising room service online and on papers that they close at 10pm. It’s false information. When I checked out was surprised and got an email saying I had been charged $40 for the 2 days i used their parking. Again staff failed to mention there was this fee eve when checking out. Will not come back here again.

The hotel is nice and clean. It doesn’t have any musty smell like other places. The staff is friendly and courteous. The bed is comfortable.

Our son just moved to college so we chose this hotel to stay the night for unpacking, etc. We are actually looking for a hotel to stay regularly when we are up visiting. Overall we liked the hotel. Very quiet (except the Clydesdale horse that was in the room above us, but not the hotel’s fault) Given that the hotel is right on the freeway, it is remarkably quiet. The bed was very comfortable and the lobby is lovely. Lots of snack options. The downside was the breakfast, not great, and the fact that they are trying to cram everyone into a small area for breakfast when there’s a rather large eating area, was irritating. I’m sure other items were good but we didn’t enjoy our breakfast at all. So we left. Mainly because one of the bussers/server insisted on mopping while we were eating. Such a turn off. When I politely asked the gentleman if he could wait a few minutes, he said “no, I have to mop before lunch.” Meanwhile there was hardly anyone even eating except the people crammed in the breakfast area. I’m mad I didn’t hold my ground, but my husband did speak with the fellow at the front desk and he comped our breakfast (not what I was after, but it was a nice gesture). I thought the guy mopping was rude and no one should have to smell bleach while trying to gag down over cooked eggs. Other than the breakfast fiasco, we might come back because it is a nice hotel, but hopefully this can be remedied in the future.

The room was very clean it felt like it was just remodeled every thing in the room was spotless. Bathroom and shower was FANTASTIC.

Food was okay at restaurant. Yogurt with granola didn't have much flavor. The waffle was spongy and the breakfast burrito was a little bland. The bed was comfortable. The hotel would check in with me via text. I thought that was really good customer service. I can ask questions via text. Friendly staff. I would stay here again.

We have loved the Hilton hotel group! The staff are incredibly friendly and bend over backwards to please. The rooms are clean and beds are comfy.

This Hilton Garden Inn feels new and fresh. The location is great near the freeway but still very quiet. Service was excellent in every respect. The employees really showed they care for each guest. It has all of the important amenities including a pool and gym. The room was well appointed and comfortable. Great pillows! Gets a highly recommend. Great value!

The bed linens were rough and there was no fan in the bathroom. The decor was dark and sterile looking.

At a time when all fees are supposed to listed in charges, I walked in and was pre-charged $20/day for a facility not available for walking in from anything convenient. There is no airport, bus station, or railway for walkers. Everyone has to park on the property from their cars, it is not close to anything. No one asked if I needed parking and assumed, correctly, that I drove there and told me a parking charge would be done for my stay on the credit card I had to present. No one can or would walk to this hotel. It is a way to bill additionally for something that should have been either pre-billed or free according to new fee guidelines! The charge was a total surprise and I wouldn't have stayed there had I known about parking charges. The FTC needs to hear about this. Ed Kosnoski

The room smelled like dog piss! I complained, but they didn’t try to make the room smell better. They were all booked up and couldn’t move me, but said they would talk to the manager and see if they could do something for me. That never happened.

Housekeeping forgot to replenish Keurig coffee pods, as well as the disposable cups. I had to text front desk early in the morning as I needed to have a cup of coffee before leaving for the day.Front desk said, "a team member will be there shortly." After waiting for 30 mins, no one delivered the disposable cups, nor the coffee pods.I texted front desk again, they said, "sorry for the confusion. That housekeeping is not there yet. Will be in later"

Room was overall clean and comfortable. The only things we noticed were the washcloths were very thin and stained and there didn’t appear to be any ventilation in the bathroom. The entire bathroom would steam up making everything in it very wet, the inside of the door was dripping. We propped the door open during the first night and the steam set off the smoke detector. The shower also gets really hot so you barely need to turn the knob. One last thing, if you are a cold sleeper, bring extra clothes because you are directly hit by the A/C unit up on the wall (which we loved).
