basic hotel for few nights stay. carpets and vents are dusty and dirty and leak dirty water onto floor and toilet seat when shower is used. don’t recommend unless you just need to sleep.

The bathroom shower area needs a curtain or something to prevent water splashing over most of the floor, when in use. There was no counter to put anything either.

The breakfast was good; about average for what we were expecting. The hot tub was not working during our stay. The room was quite dirty; when we arrived there was trash on the floor, and counter tops. The floor was filthy, and just walking around for a few minutes our socks were black and covered with a sticky residue.

Check sliding glass door to patio/bacony. The first room door would not lock which was on first floor street side. Breakfast was okay weak coffee and watered down juices. Rooms are clean. No EV charging available but near several Tesla Superchargers. Overall a nice Budget Hotel.

I only require two things from a hotel when I travel to Newport Beach. I'm looking at 4 to 7 hours on the road each way for an overnight trip and all I want is a good bed and a hot tub. The bed was mediocre and the hot tub did not work. If Expedia cannot inform me when I'm booking a hotel and the amenities are out of order that I will start using a different website. There are too many other places to try to continue using a booking agent who can't inform me when the the hot tub doesn't work. My biggest priority.

So the room was very clean. The staff was very nice. The hot tub was not working. The internet on the TV did not work one night. We stayed 5 nights. Parking can be a little challenging at night if you come in late. The restaurant in the hotel is amazing. I had never had that kind of food and it was absolutely great. It really just wished the other amenities were available.

Breakfast included was alright only bc of all the breads and waffle maker. Eggs were soggy wet every morning. The sausage gives me the ick, and the bacon is super salty and thin. Coffee is horrible. Social Aroma Restaurant… No! Just no. It tasted as all the spices were old and expired, and they added extra to increase the flavor. That made the food taste powdery. The garlic naan was almost ok, but it lacked the garlic and the dough was a little too gummy and chewy. Place looks apparently clean, but outdated. The air conditioning is just plain terrible. It’s not working properly. The positioning of the a/c is done in such a way to save them money. That means the a/c is placed facing a corner, or a close wall so that the corner gets cold quickly and the ac turns off often, automatically. (On Mother’s day, guy next room was watching porn loudly in the afternoon, with a connecting door between our rooms. Very disturbing.) On our last night someone tried to get into our room twice. First around 9:30 pm we heard the door beeping but it was locked so he couldn’t open. Then again around 1 am. Thanks God, the security lock was on bc he opened the door but the security lock didn’t let the door open. By the ease with which he could’ve entered the room, I suspect it was someone that works there. He was also indian, bc he said something with heavy Indian accent.Overall ok but needs more attention.

Staff was rude and breakfast service was poorly managed. Although breakfast was advertised until 10 AM, they started removing and locking food away around 9:30 AM. When we asked for basic items like bread and cereal at 9:35, staff acted irritated. The pool and hot tub were much smaller than shown in the photos, and the overall property looked far cheaper and more outdated in person than advertised online. The mattresses were badly worn and sank toward the middle, causing us to roll into the center all night and constantly reposition ourselves. Overall, the hotel does not match its photos, ratings, or advertised quality. We would not stay here again.

The area around the hotel was nice as well with a convenience store next door that truly was convenient. The breakfast was your standard free breakfast but kudos to them for having three waffle makers helping to make more waffles at once. My only complaint was that they asked you not to take breakfast from the serving area to your room - many times I like to get my breakfast but not eat it til a little later so I'll take a muffin/bagel or similar along with some juice to my room but they don't allow it here. If ever in the Lake Forest area again, I will definitely stay here again - I give it a 9.9/10, just because of the "no to go breakfast" rule.

The hotel is well kept and modern. Breakfast was a simple continental breakfast with well stocked . We did call a few hours ahead to see if the pool wasn’t working order, but upon arrival, it was not in working order and was not up and running until about an hour before we checked out. They did let us check out late so the kids could swim though.

The breakfast was ok, ran out of items quickest. Check in line was long and only 1 person to assist. The internet WiFi as well as cable didn't work for the last day of our stay. Reported the issue to the front desk and still not rectified. Was a little late checking out, staff was not understanding and aggressive in repeat ly calling and coming to the room demanding we check out at said time. I did ask for a bit of extension I'm traveling with a small child and it's difficult. They weren't very understanding, I won't be staying here again.

I’ve stayed here in the past and again recently, and the consistency still stands out. Exceptionally clean hotel, inside and out. Rooms are always spotless. The staff is outstanding—front desk is consistently helpful, welcoming, and professional in a calm, confident way. The maintenance crew also deserves recognition; they do an excellent job and are often overlooked. A great place to stay.

breakfast seemed to be the dining area of a restaurant which also led into the hotel but seemed like it was its own business, a bit strange layout there. A few cars in parking lot seemed sketchy and like they werent even people staying at the hotel but rather just parking/camping there for the night. Now worth the more than $100 a night i paid

Great value. Comfortable stay during our layover visiting parents in Irvine. Nice updated hotel with very spacious and nicely appointed room with microwave, keurig and mini fridge. Walls were quite insulated from sound but we heard hallway chatter thru the door. 3 stars for cleanliness (provided feedback to staff) due 1 minor thing. Would definitely stay again during our next visit to the area.

There was a persistent marijuana smell in the hallways, which isn’t the hotel’s fault but still annoying. Breakfast was hot and good.

Needed to fix the shower drain

This was one of the best experiences I have had. We walked in concerned about our toddler needing a quiet space to stay while the adults could hang out. Since we booked two rooms they offered us connecting rooms! The rooms were comfortable, spacious, clean and well kept. Staff was well trained and hospitable. Food was delicious and hot, with a nice variety. Parking was very easy.

The room was clean and the staff was friendly but when there is an issue they don't have a way to resolve it. We have our toilet clogged but they don't came up with any solution except a plunger at the front dest. My husband needs to go to the front dest to pick it up and resloved the problem itself. That was NOT a very happy experience.

To start the Mgr was less than welcoming. Our room seemed to be the less desired ones. Right next to lobby and restrooms. It was loud, the room could have been cleaner and to top it all off our AC didn't work.

It was unnecessarily difficult to extend check out time. I was busy at a conference and staff was not understanding. Hotel already had my credit card on file during check in, but made the process of paying to extend check out time an unpleasant ordeal.

Ordered dinner using their “digital dine in” option. Easy QR code scan to order from the Indian restaurant located in the lobby area. Food was delicious, fresh, and delivered straight to our room. Have to give a shout out to Brody at the front desk. Diligent, detail oriented service and super helpful. Didn’t mind me calling the desk a couple times to ask questions from the room. Helpful everytime. Plus - I’ll always give a positive review for a fellow raider fan. Overall - amazing stay for the price tag. Convenient location next to convenience stores and restaurants. Safe and quiet area. Great customer service and staff. Can’t ask for more. I’ll have to make time to try the breakfast next time I’m in town for work.

Booked this hotel same day due to a family emergency we had to come into town for and wow they made it so easy to check in. We were pleased that it was very clean and well taken care of, the rooms are modern, the showers feel amazing, and the tv has actual cable which is a plus. It’s very quiet and the balcony adds to the comfort. Rooms are very spacious and beds were comfortable I could not complain about anything. Very pleasant experience for my short stay.

We went back to the front desk, and a different employee was there. He checked the system and said that housekeeping had skipped our room. No apology or real explanation, just that it wasn’t done. On top of that, my boyfriend had called the hotel a few days before our stay to let them know it was my birthday. They said they would arrange something special for the room, like flowers or chocolates, and confirmed it over the phone. But when we arrived, there was absolutely nothing — not even a note or mention of it. The service and attention to detail were extremely disappointing. We expected better hospitality and communication. Definitely wouldn’t stay here again or recommend it.

Despite this issue, I’ll be staying here again on October 26–28 because I genuinely like the hotel and believe it has great potential. I hope to see better front desk service during my next visit, as this could easily become one of the best stays in the area.

This property is extremely exclusive and safe. It is also clean and professional. The staff is very kind and professional. They treat all patrons equally kind. There is no sign of unfair treatment. Also the entire staff is professional and extends high customer service. The property is clean, well kept and maintained. Also, everything is modern and the amenities are high end and convenient. Because of this property, we keep coming back again and again.

Somewhat loud until 10 pm n early morning with early check out guests n vacuum hallway at 8:30am. overall it was good.

Great Stay .. especially for a beach trip! Loved the spread of options for breakfast and the rooms were extremely comfortable and modern with a great layout for working while on the go and getting dressed. Love the bathroom & vanity btw. Great for makeup application. We enjoyed our beach trip vacation and would highly recommend and return direct season.

I had a room on the third floor and that room was particularly nice. It had high ceilings, so if you enjoy that kind of architecture, you should look into it. The staff was particularly nice and when my room's microwave broke, they replaced it the next day.

We stayed in this hotel for 2 nights. The room has decent size and clean. Staff are okay. We came in and out the hotel without any greetings. I think that’s the norm attitude in California. No big deal. Breakfast is free but didn’t try the food. Looked like usual breakfast food.

This hotel was in a safe area surrounded by other hotels and places to eat. Easy access to the main freeways aand about 30 minute drive to Newport and 20 minutes to Laguna Beach. Great customer service! I was notified of a water leak that was found, and it was promptly taken care of before we arrived to avoid having to switch to a different room (with a different setup than what I originally selected). I valued the transparency and effort to ensure our comfort and satisfaction.

AC is very loud right next to the bed so it’s impossible to keep it on overnight to sleep. Building structure and insulation for noise control is lacking. This is the main reason why my family will not come back to this hotel again.

I’ve stayed at many similar hotels in the area. This hotel has updated rooms, TVs that are easy to work, quiet stay, breakfast is good, gym is better than most.

Noisy area, close to main road, gas station with load carwash

This is one of my favorite places to stay for a short get away. The staff is wonderful and the rooms are so spacious and always very clean. The price is just right with free hot breakfast included and free parking. So many other walkable food options in the area as well. Love staying here!

Staff were FANTASTIC, extremely friendly and professional. For the price the hotel is great, with a great pool. The only issue was the AC which, while it works, is in a very weird position within the room which makes it very inefficient. This made the room very hard to cool, and caused us to sleep with our heads at the foot of the bed due to the direction the air blew.

We were confused as to why this property was rated 2 star. This property was spotless. The breakfast was fantastic. The building was in great shape with an attached restaurant and bar. There was a beautiful, clean pool area, and parking was plentiful. We had a great stay!

Hotel staff was nice but room was not cleaned, we ran out of conditioner and toilet paper. Asked for more but never got it. Breakfast was great and parking was a bit limited.

The renovation is modern and clean. Convenient location. Dining near by. I would stay again.

Our stay was great. Room was clean and loved the rainfall shower head. The fold out bed was not comfortable at all. We have a fold out couch at home and the mattress is more substantial. That was the only thing that could have been better.

Easy check in . The room however had the ac shut off at check in and it took a while to cool down. It would have been great if the ac was left on or at least turned on a few hrs before check in

Only two small knocks against: the stairway had a funny smell and the elevator was hot.

Everything is good. Bed is comfortable and breakfast buffet is good too. Only thing I don't like is the AC blowing directly to the bed.

Air conditioner was terrible. Beds were hard. homeless people trying to bathe in the swimming pool.

Great property, room was large and clean. Breakfast was wonderful, no homeless in the area which is rare for CA.

Location was great. Everything was nice. They had free parking.

It was exactly what I saw online, very clean rooms and common areas!! Nice and polite stuff, we definitely go back there !!

The staff was so friendly and accommodating for our 9 night stay! I couldn’t have asked for a better hotel stay for 9 days.

Bed too soft. Ac noisy and so was the traffic noise from the I 5 a block away.

Very nice rooms, good breakfast and nice staff! The only complaint is that the walls are thin. It was hard to sleep with the loud room next to us but everything else was great.

Other than location this was a nice mid range hotel. They made special accommodations for me by keeping the jacuzzi open as I was recovering from surgery. Very impressed with that!

Dog was there that was loud in pool.

Very clean room. Disappointed maid service was only by request. TV did not work. Was told someone would be sent to fix it. They did not come until second request next morning. I was offered another room.Hot tub hours posted as 7:00 am opening. Gates not unlocked until 9:00 am.

We enjoyed the free breakfast & the room was very cozy.

More parking would be nice.

Shower was broken, hotel wasn’t clean, elevator was broken. Staff wasn’t friendly.

Management was rude . Specifically Asian guy came to my room

The breakfast was really nice, a lot of space in the room.

Upon arrival and being put into a room the keys did not work . This happened 3 times . On the third time the employee opened the room but it was locked on front the inside. The employee tries to open the door to the hotel room with a tool until the resident in the room asks “what are u doing ?”. I had already asked to be in another room but the employee was set on puttin me in that room. Horrible experience. Basically broke into someone’s room . 👎
