Clean room, staff great !!

We just stayed overnight on our road trip to get to the coast. Comfy and clean bed and a quiet hotel!

everything was great. Fire alarm battery was low so there was constant chirping on the last night. staff was great.

(key card worked on all other doors) Everything else was on point.

We stayed at this location last December and liked it enough to book a recent stay there. We were amazed to see how much the overall appearance of the property had depreciated in 5 months. The breakfast selection was so poor we went out to get food. The topper - the 2” roach which was on the wall of our room. We left. I will say that the manager was nice enough to refund our money.

The room wasn't the cleanest, bathroom shower rusty and didn't look that clean. Hotel desperately needs to be updated. Would not stay there again, staff friendly and helpful.

This is a nice, quiet hotel close to the fry for convenience. Pool & jacuzzi were good and lots of free parking. Breakfast adequate enough and front desk. & service was great! Food close by too! Elevator was loud.

Everything was great. The staff was helpful and friendly. My only complaint was that I couldn’t turn the ac down lower. I love sleeping in cold hotel rooms and couldn’t get it as cold as I like. It was cool and comfortable so I’m not complaining.

I was very impressed with the night shift desk clerk. I believe his name was Mark. He was very helpful when I had cell phone issues. Fantastic employee. I will definitely stay again when I return to Dallas.

Pretty clean elevator didn’t work all weekend door kept getting stuck and nobody ever put a sign or anything

The room had a particular old smell. I even decided to check out a day before and went to a different hotel. There were kids running around d on the hallways and knocking on the room doors I expected more from Best Western.

Our 2 night stay was OK. The check in was easy and quick. The linens and towels were dated, clean but winkled and thin. Elevator was off and on. Breakfast selection was decent well maintained.

For $200 one night stay, I would not recommend this outdated place. First breath you take is air freshener to cover up the stink of the worn outdated carpet. Bathroom was unclean. Bed was comfortable enough and nice breakfast selection. Staff was nice.

When we arrived the elevator did not work and we were on the third floor. The bathroom was not clean and when calling down to ask for someone to clean it they didn’t have any cleaning staff available. The front desk clerk came up to clean it but the way she cleaned was not sanitary but in fairness she offered to give us another room before she “cleaned” the toilet seat. Honestly I wasn’t convinced it would be any better. We were only there for one night so decided to just stick it out and leave early. I would not stay there again.

Breakfast was just okay. Room was dated and the bathroom needs a deep clean and update. The bed was comfortable and had plenty of pillows. The property as a whole could use an update. Staff was very kind and professional.

Beds were comfortable. However the rooms really need to be updated, specifically the carpet and the bathrooms. Lights in bathroom were extremely dim.

The rooms were clean and loved they had outlets available everywhere. It was all I needed a bed, a shower, a toilet, and a tv. The basics were covered but they also had access to a pool, a gym, ice machines, etc. I didn't eat any breakfast but did enjoy the coffee machine daily. It is also a convenient location off the highway and many places to eat or shop nearby.

Room was large, nice staff. There was no yogurt for breakfast, they were expecting a delivery (for 3 days). The bread and bagels were not fresh. But the Waffle maker worked, and coffee/cappuccino machine was great.

The shower was impossible with water getting on the floor. I don’t know how often the hotel is fumigated but I always felt like a bug or fly was on me, but not see anything. Possibly bed bugs, but it needs to be checked out.

Room was clean upon arrival and housekeeping did an amazing job touching up after our first night. Overall the room was comfy however the black out curtains were slightly off track letting in more light than preferred during the daytime. Fridge compressor was loud at times and noticed it freezing up as we were cleaning it for check out but overall a decent hotel and good location.

The hotel was really nice, staff was friendly. Only disappointed with the breakfast. The gravy for the biscuits was basically just seasoned water and the waffle mix was out both morning. Other than that the place was awesome.

The overall stay was great! Staff were very friendly, breakfast was good, and good location. The only reason for the 4 star is because the water pressure in the shower wasn’t great, and the beds were not comfortable at all.

It was my 4th time staying at this location, the room was immaculately cleaned; the staff is warm and inviting.

Rooms are clean, kept well. Staff is very friendly from the front desk to the ladies cooking & cleaning. Only complaint is the variety of food offered for breakfast. Other than that this is our go to hotel to stay at when we are in the area every year!

I spent two days here because I had to visit a nearby doctor. I was disappointed and flustered because the reviews were good. The showerhead dripped constantly, and everything here is so old it needs remodeling. Especially the bed linens and pillowcases—they were all so worn out it was disgusting to lie on them.

Place was well maintained. Breakfast was ok. Shower presssure was basic. But room was cool and comfortable. Gym was really small but worked. Had a small issue with another guest and the hotel staff handled it the best they could. He was being an idiot and trash. I'd stay there again.

The room was clean. But the bed was very uncomfortable. And the outside noise was crazy busy and loud. Lots of cars racing up and down the road. A couple of guys having a very loud argument outside about 1am. I understand hotels are noisy but the number of doors slamming all night long was a lot. Probably will not stay in this location again

Bathroom door can’t be completely locked/ closed. Bath tub floor makes a loud noise when stepped on.

Property was ok there was a weird smell and breakfast was poor…no options not throughly cooked and watered down batter for the waffles. Yogurt but no yogurt toppings for the plain yogurt they had. No non pork meat option!

I'm very disappointed with the condition of my room upon arrival. The room was not clean and did not meet the basic hygiene standards I expected. This is unacceptable and has negatively affected my stay. I'm not recommended.

Maria, we think she runs the breakfast area/lounge - truly made our stay. The hotel is conveniently located enough, the rest of the staff were nothing to write home about, the pool & hot tub were incredibly cloudy, and the room only had 1 mirror which was obviously in the bathroom. Overall, the room did what we needed it to - it stayed cool & we had beds to sleep in with a TV. But the vent in the bathroom was falling off the ceiling & the shower was slow to drain. On the other hand, Maria was so welcoming, friendly, dedicated to keeping the breakfast area/lounge clean & ready for each guest - from day 1 she had us feeling much better about staying there. We didn't spend days at the hotel - but we did enjoy her biscuits & gravy, eggs, sausage, etc each of the 3 mornings we were there! We can not praise her enough - Maria is an absolute asset to the Best Western Plus in Lake Dallas, TX.

AC was turned off when we arrived, so room was extremely hot and uncomfortable. The AC was also leaking into a bucket on the floor. There were stains on the bed and bugs in the room.

Great stay! Room was comfortable and breakfast was great! Only issue is the gym's AC was out. I tried the controls on the wall and on the unit itself and neither worked.

Our room wasn’t quite ready when we showed up but we had an event we needed to get ready for. The manager let us use a different room to do so and we were able to make it to our event ready and on time.

The hotel was excellent for my traveling needs. The staff were friendly and helpful. The rooms were clean. The facility looked inviting and clean. The breakfast provided a good option and food was good.

The property was excellent. I spent every day in the pool. The staff was extremely friendly and courteous. I would recommend the best Western to anyone.

This was our second stay at the Lake Dallas BW. It is close to fast food and gas stations. Our only real complaint is the difficulty, at times, getting into and out of the property Once in though, the property was quiet and secure. The lady that took care of breakfast was excellent. She was continually wiping off tables and serving areas.

We go to this hotel a few times a yr just to get away to relax. The jacuzzi is really nice and the pool as well. The rooms are very comfortable, clean and spacious. Staff are beyond sweet and accommodate their guest. Breakfast is awesome. Everything is just perfect at this hotel and we will continue staying and highly recommend!!

Room was absolutely falling apart. Shower curtain ripped out of the wall, toilet paper roll ripped out of the wall door stopped punched into the wall stains all over the walls in the bedroom area.

I had left my phone charger. I reported it and was told they will not send it to 😔 No sugar/ plain free yogurt/ jelly. Kitchen staff was removing / not restocking items 30 minutes before closing breakfast.

We were welcomed at the front desk with great customer service. We checked in a little after midnight and there was not a single problem with it being that late. We were told about the complimentary breakfast and the times. Got to the room and it felt amazing in there. The only thing wrong with the room was that there were some hairs in the bathtub and the tub in the bathroom made a loud creaking noise anytime you moved. Also the shower head had horrible pressure. It was just a tad above a drip. I did sleep so good that I missed breakfast so that’s a huge plus. The beds and pillows were super comfortable and the temp in the room was perfect. I’d stay again for sure.

Hotel was okay, service was okay, nothing great to say about the property, but it felt overall a little tired and the gym was tiny, (smaller than the room I stayed in).

It was great and bed was super comfy, but it was a bit upsetting that the hot tub was defunct for the half of a week we were staying there. It was like, a 1/3 the reason I booked.

Always a reliable spot to stay when visiting family in the area.

The staff seemed incredibly sweet. They appeared to be genuinely happy to help, and apologetic if they didn’t have the exact solution we asked for. The rooms were clean and felt much nicer than most of the hotels I’ve stayed in. The ceiling fans and chandeliers were a nice touch. The vending areas no longer have machines, but there is a “store” of sorts at the front desk. The breakfast wasn’t great, but for a person without food allergies, it would be a fine way to start the day. Everything was clean and tidy and kept well-stocked. The staff were attentive and eager to please. My partner enjoyed the cappuccino machine as long as he added half-and-half to make it more creamy, but it was just a sort of gas station cappuccino machine that made the coffee taste like Swiss Miss hot chocolate. I think the sweetness of the staff really bumped up my review of the breakfast. If I ever needed to go back to Denton for some reason, I would try to stay there again.

We rated it poor...due to a live large live cockroach found in our bed at the last day there. A bathroom soap dispenser was about to fall off the wall. Pillows were old and so soft, they might have been just the pillow cover. No extra pillows available.

This was a very quiet, comfortable place to stay. Very clean with pleasant staff. Check in was hassle-free and seamless. If I had to recommend one thing, it’s to bring your own pillows. The ones provided are flimsy and don’t offer a lot of support. I was especially impressed that these rooms have ceiling fans. That made the room feel less stuffy than other hotels I’ve stayed in.

Well kept hotel. For the price I paid it was definitely unbeatable. Very quiet and pleasant stay. Surrounding area is also pretty quiet.

For the price, it is a decent hotel. Staff was considerate, everything was clean and it smelled good. I always like a full breakfast and this one was acceptable but food was a little cold. Bed was ok and i slept well. The property was decorated comfortably so i was surprised to find a rather tattered lounge chair in the room. I was also surprised that they had to check with housekeeping to see if my room was ready even though i arrived a little after the 3PM check in time.

The first night dogs were barking all morning just outside our room. Barking started very early in the morning.. On the 2nd night stay an alarm was going off for hours again very early in the morning.

I can’t say enough good things about this establishment. From check in to the lady at breakfast to the room attendants. Everyone was so exceptionally nice and the place is immaculate! We will definitely stay there again.

Hotel staff was good. Room was a completely different thing. There was a hole the size of a golf ball at the entrance of the room, the bathroom door does not close or lock, and the a/c was leaking the whole time so there was a hige puddle on that side of the room.

Our room was a great size, and the beds were comfortable, but the air was over 80% humidity because the A/C unit dumped the condensation drip into a pan inside the room. Everything felt damp and smelled musty. The hotel is hard to see from the road, but not too bad to get in and out of. Everything was clean, including the dining area. Complementary breakfast was good enough, but not exceptional; we didn’t leave hungry.

The rooms are so clean, the staff are all super sweet and we just love this hotel to get away its so peaceful!

Hotel was close to everything. Beds were comfortable and room had what we needed. We all slept late so when we went to breakfast it was almost gone and the kitchen lady didn’t want to accommodate any of the hotel guests that were coming in late so that was a bummer but that was the only complaint. Staff was very nice… I’d recommend and we’ll stay there again.

Twice during our stay the neighboring room had a door joint our rooms & spent both evenings trying to gain entry to my room. Hotel staff was unhelpful in preventing it or reprimanding the different guests.

Pleasant stay

My biggest complaint was the hotels failure to make an older man put on clothes or at the very least shorts while walking around the hotel, sitting in the pool/hot tub, or even at breakfast. We were vacationing witb our 2 children under the age of 13 and seeing a grown 60 year old plus man naked in the pool was not acceptable. When brought the issue to the front desk they said there was nothing they could do about it. Very disappointed a d had I not already paid in advance for our room through expedia I would habe asked for a refund and we would have went elsewhere.

I was very comfortable at this hotel and it made my stay very convenient and smooth.
