Pacific Edge exceeded our expectations! We had a double queen room in the reef building, room 127, couldn't get any closer to the water! Relaxing on the balcony was the highlight of my trip! We had surfers and dolphins 100 yards away during the high swells, it was just astounding! Great hotel with a classic beach vibe and walkable to all the great spots. Laguna Beach is so beautiful.
- 5/5
Room right on the beach... amazing. Our favorite place to get away to.
- 2/5
Rooms were not as advertised. First room was no better than a Motel 6, on the road, so loud. We had a fire alarm battery going off, so luckily got moved interior room, but it was no better in terms of cleanliness. Carpets in the halls were taped down with duck tape. No phone in room to call valet, even though that was the only way to retrieve your car. Would NOT recommend or stay again.

Nice hotel really recommended
- 5/5
Very nice staff and beautiful view
- 1/5
This place needs a complete makeover, the staff was friendly, but the hotel itself is disgusting, very very old photos are misleading on the website. Old (pool) old Jacuzzi old furniture as a matter of fact, we walked into the room stayed for about 10 minutes and we left called the front desk and told them they didn’t care.
- 2/5
poor experience and disappointed. It is frustrating to find an alternate place to stay at last minute
- 4/5
We come here every summer, the staff is always incredible and very accommodating. The beach views are not only amazing but comforting. The property is a bit older, which still brings a lot of charm. It is very clean and very well maintained.

Beautiful beach view

Staff at this hotel is terrible and they know it! Holes in the floor of beach front room seems to be their idea of resort style vacationing. I should know as they charged me resort fees for it. Then they said they would reverse those fees, never offered another room, but told me that I had a credit of $150 for the restaurants on site and to apply it as a room charge. Asked to speak with the front desk manager “Vic”, and was passed off to another person, Nevine, who was supposed to smooth all of this out. Before checking out they said my bill was clear and that all my fees were reversed for the room and the meal credit was applied so that I wouldn’t have a balance. Simple right? lol, I get home and I have a charge from the restaurant and all of the resort fees pending and wait for it…… a mystery charge of $24 that none of the staff can account for. There response: oh just wait for it, it will be drop off someday…. This happens all the time! By bank can’t even dispute or reverse the charges save for the meal credit, which I had to file a case to get that refunded back. There is a total lack of accountability here! Where the staff just blames each other while they are screwing over their customers! The Manager, Vic, avoids all interactions with guests and says he will be in touch yet never does. Worst vacation hotel experience ever that is still ongoing a week later!

The hotel is very old and there are parts of the walls that appears to crumbling. There was some stairs that was closed off due to crumbling. The lobby was very nice. Owner needs to invest into the hotel. Needs a lot of upgrades. Probably will not stay here again.

It was good

Ocean front rooms in the reef building need help! Kids wend to swim in the pool and the underwater light unit came floating up by a cord…
- 5/5
Location Too short of stay
- 4/5
View was great. No early check-in available. Staff said they’d text when room was ready but never did. Hotel restaurants were very good.
- 4/5
Great location. Quiet and clean
- 5/5
Loved the balcony on the ocean and listening to the waves all night!!
- 4/5
The hotel is in a great location and the staff is very friendly. It’s seven buildings for one hotel, which is interesting. It’s a very “tight” area, so valet only for the car, which is helpful so you don’t need to find parking, but you are locked into the fee. The room has a good amount of space. The only downsides to the room are the walls are thin, bed is super hard, and water pressure is low in the shower. Nice stay, but couldn’t spend more than two nights with the bed.
- 1/5
I called down to the front desk after finding 3 cockroaches in my $700+/night room. I wasn’t offered a refund or discount but was moved to an entirely different building to a lesser quality room. The hotel is slightly dilapidated.
- 5/5
The staff was AMAZING! Having access to 2 restaurants on site was so convenient and the complimentary beach towels and chairs were perfect!
- 5/5
Wonderful place and staff exceeded my expectations!
- 5/5
The room had the Best view of the ocean. The room was clean and the service was great!

Location is nice, but that’s pretty much it. Have to pay a $45 A DAY for valet which sucks. The pictures on the site are misleading.

All photos in booking are totally different than it was in reality!!! Very small rooms and very short mattresses!!! I leave message this hotel manager and never get call back… Worst hotel I ever been with super overpriced value
- 4/5
The view was exceptional. No breakfast or microwave. Room service menu was very limited.
- 2/5
I did like the ocean view and staying right on the beach, but you can find that almost anywhere in Laguna. Also, the staff was friendly and helpful overall, but I would definitely not book here again. Not the experience I was hoping for at all.
- 1/5
This hotel consists of several buildings spread out through a couple of blocks - when checking in at the main lobby they tell you to go to a valet booth in a back alley, which in reality works for a popular restaurant- they're supposed to point you to your room and help you with your luggage. But when you get there, the valet tells you that they don't work for the hotel, that there 20 guests from the restaurant ahead of you(their priority clients) and you must wait outside in the sun with your luggage until they can help you. Frustrated and tired, you go back to the lobby (a block away) and ask for help. And here comes the worst of a lifetime - the hotel manager, who seeing you frustrated will go out of his way to tell you that you are not allowed to manifest any disagreement and when you ask for help in finding the room and carrying the luggage (and i do have a walking disability which he was very aware) he goes out of his way to repeatedly deny help- in perhaps the most inhuman way I have experienced in my entire life. When I finally discovered - alone- my building and room, I faced the very dirty, rusty and derelict conditions of the property - after 5 minutes walking barefoot in the room, my feet were black with dirt- sincerely my fellow travellers, please dont come here - this place is an unfortunate combination of a derelict property with a management with absolutely no concern for their clients.
- 4/5
Amazing location and rooms had great views. Good spot on the beach close to downtown and more affordable than other more stuffy hotels/resorts. The deck restaurant catering staff were great. Front desk 2 out of 3 folks were not very inviting. Hotel is patchwork, old, somewhat run down. Potential big tear down remodel in next couple of years.
- 4/5
On the beach. Overlooking the ocean!
- 5/5
Overall everything was great a local to everything and very close to down town. The room was perfect and great location.
- 4/5
I wish I knew before booking about the $45.00 dollars fee for valet parking for night, If I want to park at the property.
- 2/5
Staff is rude, unwelcoming. The rooms are outdated, there was duct tape covering cracks on the floor. NOTHING like the pictures on their website. Check Yelp, you will see more accurate, up to date pictures. No elevator, so be prepared to carry your luggage up and down the stairs. Valet parking only, when your car is parked closer to your room than the valet, which is silly. Some of the reviews I read mentioned they give you a pass to the gym down the street, I asked about it and they don’t offer any passes. :/ The view if you do book an oceanfront room is amazing, but considering everything else I will not be staying here again.
- 3/5
What are facilities fees . We paid extra for parking and on top of that $30 facility fees ????
- 5/5
Oceanfront rooms are the best you get the best beach view

Rooms are extremely to small and rooms do not come with microwave and it’s $35 to get one in your room and there’s an up charge if you pass two hours of check out with valet parking
- 1/5
The stay at Pacific Edge was horrible! The place is dilapidated and worn down. The stairs were shaky and the pool area had a gas leak smell that made my daughter and wife sick. To top it off, we paid $75 a night for valet parking and when I forgot to give them the keys, they literally boxed my car in with 3 other cars so I could not move it in the event of an emergency. It was embarrassing and humiliating to do that. Did they think I was going to stiff them on a $20 tip? Total joke! We have been coming here for 30 years, and when I let management know of my concerns, they banned from any future stays in the property. I told them I didn't care because we were not coming back anyways! Horrible treatment and we will NEVER stay here again. If may be cheaper then other hotels but now you know why. It's better to pay a little more and pay for a place that is clean, hospitable and treats you with respect. Laguna Beach is awesome and these guys ruined our stay. STAY AWAY!
- 4/5
Love this hotel!
- 1/5
Our ac did not work in our room. There was a black tar on the carpet which I stepped on and it was so difficult to remove from my skin. The room smelt musty and like fumes because of what was on the carpet.
- 3/5
The staff was always very kind and helpful. When you use valet parking, you need to bring your own luggage downhill to get to the valet parking area, a long walk, plus they don't bring your car to the front of the hotel when you check out. Again, a downhill walk to get to your car.

This is most likely our new go to spot in Laguna.

Amazing view and stay

Fabulous ocean view. Lovely balcony, but property definitely shows its age. Renovations probably coming sometime in September. Crystal at the front desk was great after several room key glitches.

We got an outdated old room with chipped wall and an old bathroom. The room also had an old room smell to it. The shower was installed in a way that the water went towards the back wall and was not adjustable. Warm water was not abundant. At the reception when we checked in they told us that the room has no view. So we did get an upgrade and had then a room with a balcony - which was nice. We could see the ocean further down behind another building that belongs to the hotel. The beds were good and we slept well with the balcony door open - listening to the waves… We were not aware that we had to pay $45 per day for parking our car. They said it’s posted at the end of the Expedia hotel page - where of course no one checks - as it says parking is available…. When we went to the beach no one was at the kiosk to give us towels and a beach lounger. When someone finally came after more than an hour - they were out of towels… Quality of the room does not equal the price we paid. This all said - the hotel is conveniently located central and you can walk everywhere…. We had a great time ….
- 1/5
Even though there’s parking all around the building, they forced you to pay $45 for valet. They will not bring your vehicle to the front so if you have a child or many bags you have to go up and down the stairs every single time you get your car. They advertise the newer building that they have on site but I was placed in the older building. The carpet is disgusting and it smelled like there was a smoker previously. There were little pieces of hair all over the shower like they didn’t even bother to clean it after the last person was there.
- 5/5
Had a great stay
- 3/5
The room was the issue. It was infested with ants! Even after maintenance came to clean, the ants were back the next day. Management was informed.
- 3.5/5
Location Low water pressure in shower!
- 5/5
Not a complaint but note that there are lots of steps since it is built from the beach up the cliff.

Beat up proper. Basically someone has bought up a bunch of beach properties and called them part of the property. Pic on site are not consistent with our room. Run down. Lots of deferred maintenance. Called office twice for disposable cutlery. “We’re checking on it”. Never called back. Gave up and walked down the alley to a restaurant. Basically on an alley way. $1300 for 2 nights. Better places to stay for the price.

The hotel is outdated; room descriptions and pictures are vastly different than the actual rooms (not in a good way), hotel tries to charge you for every little thing, did not have hot water, rust everywhere, several buildings are not handicap accessible, very overpriced for what you get.
- 5/5
Staff was outstanding employee who checked us in was so kind and helpful.
- 1/5
We stayed at this property about five times in the last 20 years they have new owners in the last few years they now charge almost $50 a day to park your car along with the hotel c we should not include the $50 days for the car. We had a beach view hotel room which now the bar restaurant next door expanded around the bottom of the hotel and they have a party till 10:00 p.m. the first night we stayed very loud loud talking it was not a peaceful stay not enjoyable stay for the price for peace and privacy I did not get. I know it's a beach view and there's people on the beach but I didn't expect the bar to have a banquet ride underneath my room till 10:00 p.m. not happy!!!!!

The room felt dirty and gross. We’ve been staying here for 15 years at the Reef tower on oceanfront. Front desk was no help for any complaints. All they can say is….we’re remodeling soon. Shower had no water pressure….felt like a trickle. Very small room that we’ve never had before. Furniture falling apart. My husband had to put sugar packets underneath nightstand to keep drawer closed. Other pieces already had packets to make them operable. They should not be charging $300+ a night for a room that is like Motel 6. So disappointing as we’ve stayed here multiple times a year for 15 years.
- 1/5
Very run down and uncomfortably gross room. Similar to a poorly maintained college dorm. But, on the ocean, so I guess that’s why they can charge $600/night (incl $45 per night mandatory valet parking and $30 nightly bs amenities fee). I certainly would not stay here again and suggest you spend a few dollars more for a different hotel or just stay inland and walk a few minutes to the beach.
- 4/5
Beautiful view 🤗

The Location is good, you can walk to the Beach and that's why we booked the place. The room smelled of mold and stale wet carpet, it was so bad that we had to keep the windows open all the time and even then it didn't help. The bathroom is tiny and dated. The air conditioner didn't work the entire night and magically it came back in the morning.

Needs major renovations - and room felt dirty!! Staff was amazing and responsive though!!!

Room was clean but very small
- 5/5
I had an amazing experience, beautiful property easy access to and from the beach. Staff was very helpful with anything I needed during my stay, I highly recommend staying at The Pacific Edge
- 5/5
We had a beach front room with a balcony. Stunning views and sounds. Very peaceful. Be prepared for a resort fee of $30 and a valet fee of $45 for each day in addition to the room.
- 4/5
Stayed in the Reef Tower oceanfront. Stunning views! Enjoyed watching the tides change from our balcony! The bar/restaurant was fabulous. Great staff all around.
- 4/5
Staff were friendly and helpful
- 2/5
Room needs some serious updates. Most of the lights didn't work, the balcony door didn't lock, the screen door was removed and just left on the balcony so we couldn't enjoy the sound of the sea. No ability for baths, broken drain/absent drain plug , shower head is super old, and wall of the bathroom really needs some fixing. There is a $45 extra for parking on top of all of the other fees which makes a room over $500 a night when basic hotels have better maintained room. You basically pay for the view which is amazing but everything else was motel quality. BEWARE NO ELEVATORS OR RAMPS and no help to bring your luggages down stairs
- 5/5
It was a perfect view right on the water just like the picture
- 2/5
The beach view was nice; however, our sink broke, and we did not get help until we were checking out. Someone also threw up in the elevator, and it was poorly cleaned hours later, after we had to call the front desk to inform them.
- 5/5
We had a great time!!
- 1/5
Right at 11am check out time they are standing outside the door with a clip board invading your space. Telling you its time to check out if not there is all these fees per hour. Not professional, inviting and or welcoming. Customer service is bad the entire staff needs better training. Rooms need to be upgraded feels like a motel not a hotel.
- 5/5
Very nice ‼️
- 3/5
Not what I was expecting based on the money paid and the thumbnail pictures of the room that I selected. They get you with the clean, sleek, modern pictures but in person is different story.

Valet only parking $45 a day and a $160 fee as well but over all a good hotel

We had a wonderful time. The registrar, Irene, was absolutely fantastic! So attentive & helpful!

The bar/deck was great and the staff there was very nice. Mostly I would say the location was great but the property was run down and in need of some love.

If you come here you are coming for the beach. Rooms are out dated and sparse. They try but they are still older rooms in the wet air. However the location can’t be beat! Of you n like falling asleep to by the sound of b the ocean and having amazing dining options steps from you this is a great place. Staff is friendly enough. If you are looking for luxury this isn’t it. However if you are looking for a amazing location and unpretentious beach life this is a great value.
- 1/5
Roaches in the room didn’t finish my trip I left early.
- 5/5
Always enjoy to come to this place. I love it. I hope to see you soon.
- 2/5
This hotel desperately needs remodeling. So old, and cruddy. No safe in the room. Stairs and up down to get anywhere. I will never stay there again. The beach is nice if you can get down to it.
- 4/5
Beach view is amazing
- 1/5
Pee stained smelly carpets. No noise insulation. No hot water. Dirty pools with loose wires. Not very good customer service. Bed ok. AC did not work correctly. Need clear signs to find beach access. Would not recommend ever to anyone. Needs to be renovated. Very disappointing.
- 2/5
The overall condition of the property was very run down. The carpet in the walkways leading to the rooms is coming up from the floor and feels like a tripping hazard. Inside the room, everything felt outdated and poorly maintained—some of the wood flooring was coming apart and even patched with duct tape, which looked very unprofessional, especially for what was supposed to be one of their best room options.
- 1/5
This hotel is extremely run down and nothing like the photos - it genuinely feels like false advertising. The difference between what is shown online and what you actually get is shocking. The room was in very poor condition, right on the highway with constant noise, and the walls are so thin you can hear everything from neighbouring rooms and upstairs. It also didn’t feel clean, which made the stay even more uncomfortable. We raised our concerns immediately and asked for a refund. The front desk advised that management only works 9–5 and refused to contact anyone outside those hours, which was incredibly frustrating and unhelpful. We were forced to stay one night and were moved to a different room. While it was quieter, it had a strong musty smell and was still well below an acceptable standard for the prices charged. This property urgently needs a full renovation, or to be taken off booking platforms altogether. Avoid at all costs.
- 4/5
Nice clean, big suite. The parking being $45 a day for being a guest and paying 1800 before any parking or additional daily fees for 4 nights.. a little frustrating. Big suite and amazing view. Have blackout curtains for big doors but not for window that the sun actually rises in. No kitchen supplies.. big counter and fridge but no utensils or supplies to use, no welcome gifts for getting the best room. Coffee creamer packets appeared to be expired and crusty, lack of maintenance it seems… holes in screen door, big openings where AC can allow in bugs. If some things were fixed we may go back but the additional fees and parking were quite outrageous for a non 5-star hotel and experience. Once again can’t beat the views and beach access but definitely some things to work on for future customers. I don’t think it was worth $2,300 for 4 nights with the additional costs, maybe some discounts would have been appreciated for us planning ahead and choosing that location.
- 5/5
This property is uniquely located near the heart of downtown Laguna Beach close to restaurants and bars and on the sand. Excellent sunset views and very nice staff and the restaurants are excellent too.
- 4/5
The view was perfect. Looking straight at ocean. Beautiful sight. Room clean and Mrs. Cristal is the best and on her job.
- 1/5
Bathroom tub we pealing and cracked paint/mushy walls. No fan in bathroom but also no remote for the TV. Called from desk and was told that I needed two remotes for the tv, one to turn it on and another to change the channel. I only had the remote to turn it on. Desk person said no one was there to get the proper remote for me so I had to listen to the people in the next room moan all night. Terrible and will never stay there again. Property was terribly run down for the crazy price.

Jennifer was great . She had our lounge chairs and umbrellas ready and would check on us to see n in f we were doing good.

Enjoy my stay breakfast was good had a lot of places near by
- 4/5
The beach attendant was prompt and the loungers were very comfortable.
- 4/5
Clean room but carpet was very dirty and old looking. Being a hotel on the beach, maybe ceramic flooring would be best.
- 5/5
The staff are very kind, professional and generous.
- 5/5
The hotle does need a bit upgrades maybe more mirrors in the rooms, lightning but like I said they are upgrades. The hotel is perfectly located at the beach with easy access to it. They have valet parking and it helps with the hassle of traffic. It is near all and anything you need during the stay. The housekeeping is amazing and very attentive. I will definitely be staying here on my next trip.
- 5/5
Direct beach access and clean rooms.

Unfortunately the property hasn't been kept up over the years . The people are nice and friendly and being on the ocean is lovely
- 5/5
Amazing location, great views. Love the restaurant.
- 5/5
We really enjoyed our experience here. The Driftwood Kitchen staff was amazing especially Lisa and Sean.
- 3/5
This place is dated and worn. It needs some sprucing up for the prices they charged. The most redeeming feature was its access (next door) to "The Deck" - a very popular beachside bar and "Driftwood", an excellent restaurant. The staff however were wonderful!!
- 2/5
Our room was on the 3rd floor and even though the small AC was set at 62 and was blowing the room was horribly hot. We called the front desk 3 times and were told that there wasn’t anything that could be done. They said they would bring a fan and then never did. Very disappointing for the amount you pay for a room
- 4/5
Ye... loved how close we were to the ocean
- 3/5
It is a great location, quick beach access. First come first get umbrellas and chairs. All the staff is great. The not so good: partial beach view is standing next to the window. Not a see from my bed view. Yes, you do have to do valet. Valet is excellent. Two ice machines for the whole complex. Cleaner than i expected. Property is many buildings. Look at a mao before you pay for a room. I was in the Premier building. Cheated on ocean view, there is one if you want to stand by your window and look at 5 feet of ocean. My reservation did state partial ocean view. It isn't a lie, but i would never pay that price again. The room was very roomy and the bathroom has a tub and shower. Beach towels are provided. Lots of stairs at the Premier. Not good for handicap. Lots to do around the hotel. Shopping, dining, grocery store. It is on California highway 1.
- 5/5
Amazing stay.
- 4/5
It’s right on the ocean , so big win there , beds could be a bit more comfortable, and maybe include a room microwave. But again the ocean is the big win , I don’t think you can get any closer than to actually jump in . Loved it
- 3/5
The poolside service was nice and convenient and comfortable and pets were welcomed
- 2/5
False advertisement. The room advertised was not the room Booked.
- 5/5
Amazing location! Great price! Clean and bacic room but spacious! Great views! Will come again!
- 3/5
Don’t get me wrong room was clean more of a older hotel for sure the line was long for check in only 2 people working parking is horrible so I recommend valet for 45$ a night and they also don’t have a elevator so expect a 1hr of waiting for your luggage if you have a lot. As we struggled to find our room the key didn’t work so I had to go back and wait in line to get new keys?! Definitely won’t be staying here again.
- 4/5
Visited the location during our spring break which was a few weeks ahead of the area. Pricing was REALLY good for the location, so I set the bar pretty low with room expectations. We got the suite that had a king/queen and small kitchenette. Overall, room was clean. My hopes were to be able to use the kitchenette a little more but the oven was questionable. We can use the word vintage. The fridge was a good size though and there were plates and utensils so that was helpful. The location though was perfect for my teenagers and me. Ralph’s was right across the street and The Taco Stand was a few steps away not to mention a short walk to the beach and everything downtown Laguna. We had views of the ocean; our room was right on PCH so it was views but not ocean beach sounds. Again, I kept price point in mind. I would book again at the price we got the suite at ($275 + $45 valet). I’m sure during peek season it’s more which I would opt for an AirBnB in Balboa/Newport.

Room is very worn down. Shower wasn’t draining. We booked based off the photos and were placed in a room very opposite than what we booked. Noticed after we got to our room that there are newer ones located to the building beside. Bed was very worn out and lumpy. Great view, and right beside good restaurants.

- 5/5
Always so kind
- 1/5
Horrible is an understatement! First we moved rooms because there was a musty smell and the refrigerator didn’t work and the room was absolutely disgusting. Once we were to our new room, we had no Internet service and no heater. The curtains were absolutely disgusting as was the bedding had a horrible smell. At this point, we were exhausted and just wanted to go to sleep and get out of there first thing in the morning. We let them know multiple times and all they did was hand us the manager’s phone number. I absolutely never leave reviews, but this one wasn’t necessary. Pictures are catfish at its finest stand clear of this place. It was meant to be a one night refresher from our week of Disneyland to unwind was a complete nightmare, stand clear!!!
- 4/5
Great location literally right on the beach. Amazing view from our balcony. Loved that each unit of rooms had its own pool and hot tub. Very nice bar and restaurant. Excellent location in the middle of all the LB action. And the staff was incredibly nice and helpful. Older property, but all the benefits make it worth the stay. 4.5 stars
- 3/5
Property overall was a little older and run down a bit, they don’t tell you that it is valet parking only, room just felt a little dirty
- 4/5
Location was good, but the hotel is kind of rundown
- 5/5
Room overlooked the beach and ocean. Check-in process with Irene was fantastic!
- 3/5
Pro- great location, they have chairs and umbrellas for the beach Cons- rooms are not what they look like in the pictures, outdated old, and run down Wifi and internet service are terrible in the room Valet parking only, no self parking and it's $45 per day. During our check in the reception guy was very rude
- 5/5
The place was old and dated but it was clean and the close proximity to the beach and downtown shopping was nice.
- 2/5
Staff were amazing! everyone was helpful and friendly. The location was absolutely amazing, 5 min walk to main beach. Very centric location. However… the room was dirty, the carpet looked like it hadn’t been properly cleaned in a while. We were only staying there for one night, and for the price and location we couldn’t really complain. I think i’d be amazing if maybe they added pictures of the lower rate rooms as well!!, that way the surprise after checking in is not as significant. Looked nothing like the pictures unfortunately. But again, price + location was good!
- 2/5
The location was great, walking distance to lots of restaurants and right on the beach. The front desk attendant was very thorough, patient and professional. She was the best part about the hotel! The problem was, I would never sleep in that room again! It was very small and cramped, the bath room was tiny. The carpet looked filthy. The room was very dated and grungy. The blow dryer didn’t work so they replaced it with another one that didn’t work. The valet we paid $45 for, we had to drag our own stuff down concrete stairs, all the way around the building down the side of the building and all the way down about another half block. They didn’t take our luggage to our room or help in anyway. We just drug our stuff all that ways to the room and the next morning down to the car! Overall, the staff was great that I would never stay there again.
- 5/5
Crashing waves. Amazing
- 1/5
The pictures only depict about 30% of the entire hotel, the rest is more like a motel
- 5/5
muy bonito el lugar no tengo nada que decir 10/10 🔥😍
- 5/5
Loved the room! Great staff too. Wonderful location.
- 1/5
The room very extremely small and uncomfortable, the bed was not comfortable, floor creaked when you walk on it , building needs upgrades in a big way, you could hear the guy next door to me farts lol it wasn’t a romantic trip as i anticipated
- 4/5
Ocean view room was gorgeous
- 3/5
This place is all around ok or fine. The entire hotel is dingy, rooms are run down, carpets torn, pool area is aged etc...The staff are awesome and friendly, but otherwise you can find better maintained hotels at the same price or better.
- 1/5
Unfriendly staff. Lack of response. Rooms and facilities need maintenance and updates. Hugely dissapointing.
- 5/5
Awesome!!
- 5/5
room was spotless and staff was super friendly and accommodating
- 2/5
Hidden fees were too much, car parking, and a daily use rate for what? Then the cost for Valentine's Day at the restaurant, no costs and then the bill with Gratuity built in and then asking for another tip wow!!!
- 2/5
They lost our reservation. The coffee maker didn’t work and it was a lot of effort to get a new one and then they apparently had a plumbing emergency but neglected to tell anyone so we had to endure the horrible noise for hours.
- 5/5
Amazing view!
- 5/5
Room and view from balcony to ocean is perfect will come again
- 5/5
Oceanfront room
- 5/5
Ocean front room views are epic. Staff was super accommodating.
- 4/5
Clean room and amazing view of the ocean.
- 5/5
Great location
- 5/5
Amazing room
- 1/5
extra fees per arrival, got double charged for parking, rude and awful customer service
- 4/5
Placement on beach was great and very accessible. Plan to stay there next time.
- 1/5
Parking is a 45$ per day manditory valet which is even more ridiculous. This ruined my anniversary plans
- 4/5
The staff was above and beyond welcoming. We stayed on a beach facing room. Was minimal and aesthetic. Very clean but did have a slight must I’m sure from the humidity of being beach front. Tv didn’t work. But we aren’t big tv people so nbd. We loved it! Will be back!
- 3/5
I love this location and the staff but the room was across from the valet pretty noisy and something was constantly tapping in the ceiling every 5-10 minutes loudly every day and night making it difficult to sleep. Also three valet was sleeping in a car and we were trying to make an early morning flight he did not have his cell phone on to hear the calls from the front desk.
- 3/5
Matress
- 4/5
Staff was very good. Room clean. Bathrooms needed upgrades.
- 5/5
Big rooms, valet parking only, walking distance to the Laguna strip, beachfront would definitely come back
- 1/5
Outdated and old
- 4/5
The view
- 5/5
Beautiful views, beautiful room, super clean
- 5/5
The rooms were nice with a beautiful view and staff was amazing.
- 5/5
The view and you can walk and get what you need
- 2/5
For a discount but I would never go back. The water in the shower never got hot and was really hard to even turn on. Only upside was the beach access.
- 5/5
Christal and the valet staff were amazing!
- 3/5
The rooms aren’t as nice as the website say they are everything is out dated! The view is immaculate the staff was wonderful and welcoming
- 5/5
. The room was clean, towels and sheets bed, very clean and fresh.
- 2/5
My stay was disappointing and did not reflect the reviews or photos. Check-in was poor—there were no upgrade options offered and no explanation of hotel amenities. My room did not have hot water or a microwave, and I was not informed at check-in that a microwave/snack room was available on the first floor. The room was very small with a parking lot view. The bathtub showed significant wear with chipped paint and appeared unclean, to the point that I avoided using the shower. Overall, the hotel did not feel luxurious, and service and aesthetics were underwhelming. Additionally, self-parking was not available despite Expedia stating that it was; valet was the only option.
- 4/5
Good Stay - Reasonable Price
- 3/5
Had to upgrade 150$ for a room with a view. Older hotel but ocean view is a must
- 5/5
Friendly staff. Gorgeous view. Plan to pay an extra $45 for valet parking.
- 2/5
Dirty old room.
- 4/5
Nice staff
- 5/5
Greta hotel.
- 5/5
Being in the hospitality industry for over 18 years, I truly appreciate exceptional service. Crystal was warm and welcoming at check-in, provided helpful dining information, and reassured us that the room we booked would have a beautiful view. When we woke up the next morning, we were delighted to see the beach just as she promised. Her level of service was comparable to checking into the Ritz—professional, attentive, and genuinely caring.
- 5/5
Staff was welcoming, offered and took a bunch of pictures of us in our New Years garb. The location of the room, unbeatable!
- 3/5
Beautiful unobstructed views of the ocean during daytime, however very dark balcony in the evening. Two things were negative, the first is the very dark balcony, we would've loved some lights on the balcony to enjoy the views in the evening. I noticed there was another building that had nicer balconies with lights, that room/ building was never offered to us even though upon checking out, I asked about it, the receptionist told me it was oceanfront rooms, same category that we booked. The second issue was the complementary beach chairs/ umbrellas, we were told it was not offered for the entire week due to weather, even though the weather was beautiful most of the time and it was mentioned on the booking and we were charged a hefty service fee that included this service. I believe, we should get partially refunded for this. Otherwise the location is great and if not for these two negative points, I would score it much higher.
- 5/5
Great location and accommodating staff. Love the sound of the surf at night from the partial view room.
- 1/5
2. Shower is freezing 3. No elevator to our room, had to carry luggage up flights stairs 4. Pool freezing 5. No towels at pool 6. No person getting beach loungers and chairs out. 7. Heater in room broken Not sure what our resort fee was for considering all the above. Expensive awful stay. We have been here before without these issues.
- 3/5
View was nice
- 1/5
Staff is ok, room, amenities and “something else” should be much better for price and the area
- 1/5
The elevator in the "Premier Tower" is embarrassingly dirty, decrepid, and needs exhaustive renovation. For the price of the room/tower, you would think that there would be investment made back into the building. I've stayed here several times over the years, and they often neglect commonareas. Big bummer.
- 1/5
Only great thing was the ocean view (which is given) I personally think there is a lot they need to work on here. I understand it’s an older building but it’s wayyyyyy besides that.
- 4/5
Nice location in town with accessibility to beach.
- 1/5
It’s gone
- 4/5
Great views. Great location. We love staying here. A little run down though
- 4/5
The rooms need some upkeep.
- 5/5
We loved it. Clean! The staff was very professional. Our room was looking at the ocean very nice!
- 3/5
Staff, amenities and room was nice. The only thing i
- 3/5
Parking $45 per night not expected
- 4/5
I love this place but I am not able to climb stairs. The room I reserved is down two flights of stairs and there is NO elevator access. I had to be put in a different room that only had a partial ocean view. I would just like the rooms that require stairs be labeled in larger font. I found on the website in some fine print an notice that one of your hotel buildings lacks elevators. Or maybe the hotel could put a wheelchair/ elevator/ lift??
- 5/5
On the beach!
- 5/5
Front the first greeting with a huge smile.. to a great room. Definitely stsying here again. Everything close by
- 2/5
The room was neglected and a half attempt of remodel. The slider out to the balcony was a glass pane and the remaining glass was obscured by stains to the point we had to open it fully to see a clear view of our “ocean front view.” Had to use a towel to sweep the floor on my hands and knees to brush the debris off to the edge. The wicker chairs should have been disposed off seasons ago. The valet parking returned my car covered in stucco debris from the obvious remodel happening above where they parked it. It was not automatically discounted if this would have been a classy place, recognized the debris.

- 3/5
Pacific Edge is an old facility with thin walls. The service was good. The room was clean. It's right on the beach; we could hear the surf. (No beach view from our room.) Access to the beach via private walkway. Walk to food & grocery store.
- 5/5
Thank you for making my husband's birthday special
- 5/5
We've stayed at many Ocean Front hotels but without a doubt Pacific Edge had the best views from our balcony I've experienced.
- 2/5
The only thing that was really good was the restaurant, which was absolutely fabulous. Overall, don't stay here and book literally ANY other hotel. But definitely check out the restaurant. The pictures literally look NOTHING like the room i stayed in.
- 1/5
Horrible
- 2/5
-no wi-fi all 3 days & freezer door was missing not able to freeze foods.
- 3/5
Need a better bed, microwave, and no hidden fees
- 4/5
Rooms were Very clean.
- 5/5
Room was basic but clean, staff was very helpful. Had problems with key cards and the Tv in the room didn't work. So they moved us to another room. Again staff was very helpful
- 5/5
Love the location! I book the premium oceanfront room for the perfect beach weekend. Staff always helpful and accomedating
- 1/5
Outdated decor baseboards dirty restroom reeked of urine smell unused furniture stored in walk ways leading to room and beach sand and debris in pool and jacuzzi mandatory valet parking couldn’t utilize pool or jacuzzi bcuz of debris yet paid resort fee hallways had carpet saturated in dirt sand and water definitely eyesore
- 4/5
Rooms are a little dated but we love this place.
- 1/5
Shower didn't work, spiders, run down, pics not accurate
- 5/5
Everything was wonderful!
- 3/5
Room was old and in need of repairs and updating. Best thing was it was over the water.
- 4/5
Excellent price for a two bedroom condo style room. They only complain is at five in the morning every morning. There would be large delivery trucks making loud noises right in front of our room.
- 4/5
Room was oceanfront with a great view which made for a great stay. Balcony was nice with a nice table and chairs. Room was basic and lacked seating inside. Shower was nice but didn’t care for the body wash or shampoo. Bed was comfortable. Falling asleep to the sound of waves was great. This was our second stay and will be back next year.
- 2/5
I had to change rooms (the did offer a free upgrade) due to TV, WiFi, and phone not working. The next room was slightly better, but the lights were burned out. The room was rundown, and extremely dates. Very overpriced for what I got in a room. The pictures are extremely misleading...
- 1/5
This is a run down motel with an ocean view. The room was not updated as shown and the hotel restaurant was closed for a private event. I left the hotel and did not stay as it was my wife’s birthday and this was anything but a birthday experience.
- 3/5
On the positive side, the view of the beach and sunset was fabulous.
- 1/5
We didn’t even stay 1 of the 4 nights planned. This hotel’s room photos on Hotels.com were not photos of the standard rooms. Crystal and Cyrus were great desk staff members and tried their best but truly this place should be torn down. The elevator was dirty. The property and its maze of stairs and different buildings looked and felt unsafe. This location is a goldmine that is missing its true potential. We couldn’t give zero stars and I have NEVER written a negative review.
- 5/5
This teacher me not to pay attention to other reviews. Goes the show , seeing is believing..my wife and I had an incredible, beautiful post anniversary. Front office guy cyrus, valet service Ryan stood out.
- 1/5
Awful service dirty room staff was aggressive and abusive
- 5/5
Stayed at this hotel many times and each time my family and I love it even more. Made so many memories on this property and I will continue to book here.
- 3/5
Location was perfect! Close to everything and ocean views. The rooms were much older and outdated than the images on the website. Would stay again however because of location and price- but did not meet expectations from images on site.
- 2/5
I’m giving it 2 starts because it’s right on the beach and the beach is obviously gorgeous. However, the photos presented at the time of booking here are of some other place, not this hotel. Our room and building was so run down, rusted and out of shape. All the doors couldn’t be closed or opened (balcony, bathroom, entrance). I got stuck in the bathroom several times, my husband had to open it with force. The doors needed to be replaced ages ago. For $600/night it was a major fail. The front office guy wasn’t friendly. Don’t trust the tranquil photos, they are not representing the same furniture, view, through the dirty window. Don’t waste your money.
- 3/5
View was great. It was pricey & had to pay an extra 45 dollars extra for valet parking. Felt that should have been included in price of room. Key to room did not work when we first checked in. Had to return to front desk. No privacy in bedrooms. Could hear everything in rooms & balconies next door. Walls were not insulated or soundproofed. Disappointing. Couple next door got up at 6am and it sounded like they were walking around in our room. Disturbed our sleep. Rooms need to be updated.
- 5/5
👍
- 3/5
I booked an oceanfront room and was given a crappy room with a kitchenette, partial view, and for some reason, no dresser. Rebooked to a nicer room. Bar was good. Second room was nicer but you can definitely note things that are rundown or rusty, including the whole bottom of the bathroom door, just falling apart. Overpriced for what you get. And $45 per night to park a car? Ridiculous.
- 1/5
Images on website were misleading. First room smelled of cigarettes. Moved to another room and blinds didn’t cover light, someone kept jiggling the back door by closet, by lobby and was very loud with people all night. The tub had gashes in it, grout was filthy and toilet didn’t flush. Incredibly disappointed in the quality of the room. If it wasn’t late at night when I checked in I would have driven 30 min home.
- 4/5
The jacuzzi was taped off limits and it was dirty looking. The room was very nice and the view was spectacular. This hotel is perfectly priced for what it brings to its guests.
- 4/5
Would stay again in newer room.We were in an older suite, bed comfy. Could use a deep clean and remodel. Elevator area ancient. Family was in room over looking the beach in remodeled building really nice. Great beach acess, great location, really nice staff. The restaurants did have off some putting smells at times.
- 1/5
We had luke warm showers for our stay, hot tub & pools were cold.
- 4/5
Location
- 5/5
My room was very nice view
- 1/5
Over charge on extras I paid $580 for a low value Hotel quality The people working staff was very nice ..
- 2/5
Well, rooms are in need of total refresh. Rotten to the core, baseboards, trims, pretty much everything wooden. Carpets looks like never been clean. Just overall not very clean. Bedsheets are of the poorest quality not breathable. We were suppose to have a little kitchenette in the room all we had is a little mini fridge. Ac is the old window unit type thats so loud next to the bad thats not really keeping up. And cant open the door because in the in the ally there valet is is a constant buzz, cars come and go, all delivery trucks, garbage trucks etc. For over 300$ a night its not worth to be this close to the beach with everything mentioned above
- 5/5
Sincerely , J.R
- 4/5
We really like the view, that’s the best part and the reason we stay there. We were shocked by the $45 a night forced valet parking. It’s off season and there is a ton of parking available. We never had forced valet before, so that wasn’t something we expected and put a small damper on the trip.
- 1/5
I was over charged by double what expedia had quoted me. Room was filthy and service was terrible. I was told it would. E $20 to upgrade my room then charged $200. Very disappointed in out experience.
- 3/5
Balcony with ocean view. Room showed wear. Pool area door was rusted.
- 4/5
View was great and unobstructed
- 5/5
The ocean view and beach view were beautiful!! Love the sound and just watching the ocean
- 5/5
Right on the ocean , great place to stay
- 1/5
This Hotel is falsely advertised on your website. The room they gave us was like a jail sell. When we told them we couldn’t stay there they made us pay $180 extra per night to upgrade. The upgrade was good but definitely needed to be refurbished. It wasn’t worth $180 extra per night.
- 1/5
Room is incredibly rundown. No screen on the bathroom window. Patches on the walls in the bathroom that are so messy and old and no paint over them. Wi-Fi was terrible. We could barely use it. For 530 a night plus a resort fee I feel like I got ripped off. They offered to move us the second night, but we were already impact and did not want to have to deal with packing things up and moving to another room. We came out for an event on Friday night and did not have time to deal with the terrible room that we had so we could make our event.
- 5/5
Great time
- 2/5
The bed was comfortable but the AC was outdated and did not work well. The screen to the balcony was torn and flapped in sea air. The exhaust in the bathroom did not function. The staff was very helpful and the location was a Ten!
- 4/5
The room was not like the picture. The picture on Expedia must be outdated. I'm reality, Half the room was a bathtub and shower. In the picture the bed had its own area separate from the seating area. And there was no oversized bathtub room. In the Expedia picture the couches face the ocean but in reality they did not.
- 5/5
great hotel

the best beach ocean front
- 3/5
On the beach
- 3/5
This is a very expensive motel6 staff are very nice and the location is prime, but the facility is very outdated and un clean
- 4/5
Excellent location. Walking distance to center of town and many good restaurants.
- 5/5
Some of the best customer service we have ever had at a hotel, from every single person who works there. Beautiful room that was practically on top of the water, beautiful beach, and great restaurants.
- 4/5
Be sure to book the oceanfront building. The other buildings are shabby. The room was great though.
- 3/5
While this property is convenient, many of the rooms are not updated. We had 3 rooms for this stay. The standard rooms are very tight and the bathrooms are very small, with only pedestal sinks. You are basically paying for the location when you book this hotel. Staff is amazing, super friendly and helpful. Parking is expensive. You can park a few blocks up the street and in the front of the property along PCH at night if you dare. We lost a side mirror on a rental car the first night parking on PCH. Great location for walking, you don't really need a car once you're there.
- 5/5
Went on the whale watching tour while there! Beautiful surroundings and the staff made for a great stay. Easy check-in and checkout. :)
- 4/5
The room view was beautiful. Additionally, the staff were really nice, especially the valet guys :)
- 1/5
Expedía gave me the wrong room and didn’t find a solution or compensate me. They only offered $50 one key cash instead to giving me the right room or upgrade
- 2/5
Maybe there are truly no better options in Laguna beach. But for the price nearly $300 per night when you take into account taxes and the “resort fee” it was a disappointing stay. Our toilet did not work properly. Our room was fine but it had old carpet, old paint, and was all around run down. The hotel is more of a motel than a hotel. I thought the hotel would waive our resort fees for the toilet inconvenience. They did not.
- 5/5
Ocean view, clean and great location
- 3/5
Very good location , buy the way very crowded in their small, private beach. Standard rooms very old carpet very dirty, forests old shower small, rooms very small for the price they charging on top of it $45.00 parking fee plus tips, construction around the hotel. Overall not very pleasant experience. Not recommended, till they get reconstruction done .
- 2/5
I did like the fact that it was close to the beach, towels and chairs provided on beach amd service thwre was excellent.
- 4/5
Lobby is in a separate building and across the alley from our “surf” tower. No ice machine except near lobby. Dead bolt did not work. No area rug around the bed to prevent bringing sand onto the sheets.all staff pleasant and helpful. Would be nice if the facility took some money and maintained and upgraded their facilities. Oh yes, bring a phone adapter as there are no USB charging ports
- 1/5
Expedia did not deliver. The pictures they showed pertaining to this hotel was clean and a place that we would want to stay in. What we got was quite different. Pacific edge would not change our room unless we paid more. And Expedia would not make things right for us. I have received at least 10 different emails from Expedia all with different replies. They state they want to make things right, but will not do anything about it. I told them I would write a poor review and never utilize Expedia again. That’s when they offered me $75 in credit but then resend it. Expedia is horrible. Don’t believe the pictures they show it’s false advertising. All I’m getting at this point is an AI response. It’s no customer service. Do not use them.
- 5/5
Everything was great as always. I’ve been here about 6 times. Beach access is the best part. However, for the prices we pay— especially when booking an oceanfront room, PARKING SHOULD BE INCLUDED. Your only options are, park outside at your own risk of meters running out and getting a ticket. Or pay $45 for valet parking. I find this ridiculous. Be advised when booking here. Parking will hurt your pocket.
- 5/5
Our ocean view was breath taking beautiful amazing we are so happy and pleased with the hotel
- 5/5
The room we stayed in was newly renovated, which was great! I understand that they have not quite finished the renovations.
- 3/5
I have a love hate relationship with this hotel. It’s my favorite hotel in Laguna but sometimes my experience isn’t great when it comes to the service. And yet, I still go back for the views.
- 5/5
Staff, location and view was phenomenal!!
- 3/5
Clean room but it overlooked a parking lot. Air conditioning was marginal and loud. Close to the beach with free loungers and umbrellas.
- 1/5
After arriving and settling in we decided to sit on the porch while our child went to bed. When we went to open our door at around 8pm, our key card would not work. We ended up with 4 more sets of keys before we were able to get into our room where our child was unaware that we couldn’t get in. He’s 7. The key cards proceeded not to work 7x in total over 2 days with over 7 sets of key cards made. Cost to me = time, money, pain and suffering, and ended up feeling at fault and lied to by front desk staff. Over all experience was poor. Ruined my sense of safety and security. Made me worried my key wouldn’t work next time I go out. Made me really suffer about the whole experience especially with customer service telling me they wouldn’t be comping a night because my kid supposedly locked the door. Which he did not.
- 5/5
Loved having the waves crashing under my balcony! Everything was clean and the staff was wonderful. We would definitely go back to Pacific Edge
- 1/5
I've never left a review for any product or service ever, but this hotel room deserves a review. The hotel room was disgusting. The pictures online are misleading. The carpet was wet. There was mold on a lampshade. The
- 3/5
Good place and comfortable
- 1/5
The hotel said they ARE NOT responsible for Expedia photos. So essentially the hotel room you see is NOTHING like the hotel room you get. This place is absolutely filthy with horrible rude staff. Any positive reviews come from those who can afford the most expensive rooms they offer which are decent at best. We paid extra for an upgrade out of necessity because the first room was awful. Second room was a huge disappointment as well but hey the view was nice
- 2/5
The ac units in “the Reef” need to be replaced. The room was so hot I called the front desk and was only offered a fan.
- 5/5
You can't beat the location, the price and SoCal beach vibes this property offers. It's what a beach hotel should be. Clean, convenient, charming and functional. We really appreciated our small kitchenette, large spacious room, ocean view and incredible walkable location to all the beaches, restaurants and shops without being in the middle of the chaos. Far enough away from main beach, but not too far.
- 3/5
We booked a standard room. Unfortunately, some of the standard rooms are better than others. We were on the first floor behind the pool, a walkway and lots of pillars so it felt like we were in a dungeon and weren't able to keep the curtains open without being in full view of anyone walking by. The curtains were also too long so we had to prop them up so they didn't block the air conditioner which was already barely adequate. The bathroom was cramped and did not have a place for toiletries or a place to keep towels accessible. The dresser had a broken drawer and the room was generally dated and needed some improvements. The valet parking was a nightmare and far too expensive. Check in went well but checkout took forever and they did not provide the promised receipt. The location was convenient but I've stayed in far better places in Laguna.
- 1/5
Because we booked through Expedia we were given a very crappy room. Keys didn’t work after multiple key cards were issued. Phone didn’t work so we couldn’t call front desk. Curtain covered the air conditioner. We complained and were moved. Manager didn’t want to talk to me about it. Only one of three front desk people seemed to care. Will never stay there again. Every thing is worn out and needs to be replaced. Bulldoze the place and start over. Only positive were the people at the valet parking.
- 2/5
When shower head was replaced the shower drain did not drain and shower was soon a 2 inch deep pool
- 2/5
The property is in the perfect location . The new renovated rooms are great but they only had old rooms left , with gross musty carpet that is stained and tiny bathrooms with original plumbing ! The also face PCH which is so loud! Get a new room or no room at all !
- 5/5
The only issue that we had was the card key to our room sometimes not working. We were told that it was very sensitive to water, sand and other electronics. We had to exchange keys several times but other than that we had a great time. Shops and restaurants were in walking distance
- 3/5
Overall, an okay hotel.close.to many tourist spots and easy access to ocean. I didnt understand why all but thr batheoom and carpet in our room had been renovated: Peeling paint in bathroom and carpet was worn and dirty.
- 4/5
Photos are deceiving , the hotel is runned down. Great location, but the manager isn’t pleasant , while everyone else is .
- 2/5
Carpet dirty
- 1/5
Horrendously dated property with unsafe conditions... lights going out, couch collapsing in the middle of the night with a child, front desk point blank lying about issues not being reported... restaurant on the property is wonderful with all their staff but you don't need to stay at the property to go to the restaurant. There are plenty of other hotel options in the area! Enjoy your vacation elsewhere! Those days are too precious to spend them trying to fix issues.

The only upside was that it was roomy and close to downtown

We've been going to & loving this hotel for16 years- a home away from home, which sadly has descended into disrepair and rude chaos. The property itself is so physically run down, it's shocking. Rust & peeling paint everywhere, moldy smells, broken furniture. The pool area is beyond disgusting now, it seems no one cares at all anymore. The gate and railings and pool fixtures are dripping rust, they turned the heat off in the pool (it was always kept at a pleasant temperature but not anymore), the fun game area is abandoned. No towels to be had without jumping through hoops. The beach service? Wow. So rude. We were lied to that there was no service the first day due to the tide being dangerously high (this was in fact, not true, as it had peaked 90 minutes before we asked for service), yet there were plenty of people out there. They just appeared to not have staff to go and get us chairs. The building we were in was the newest, and even that showed serious signs of wear (don't even ask about the elevator). We hit our heads repeatedly on the too low overhang that you had to pass through to the elevator (no sign warning of the low ceiling). The front desk was rude, and unwelcoming to us. The partial ocean view our room boasted was visible ONLY if you stood in the doorway with the door open. Otherwise, our view was of a very loud fan on the roof of the building next door. We left feeling like the people just could care less about us in spite of receiving robo-texts to check in.

Just a few bumps in the stay. The phone and bathroom fan did not work (neither were deal breakers). The air conditioning unit next door is mounted on our balcony and was rather loud. (Similarly, our unit's AC was probably very loud for our next door neighbors.) The one sticky issue was amenities on the beach. Since it is first come, first severed, we went down early to set up our lounge chairs and umbrellas. Since it was still overcast, we went back to our room to wait for the weather and when we return to our chairs, someone had taken them. There was not way to indicate that they were reserved. I hope Pacific Edge sees this and sets up a better system. For future stays we will make sure to leave some person items so there is an indication we are returning. Overall, a very nice stay.

The Property Location is Ideal for laguna Beach. you can easily walk everywhere. The hotel is right on the beach and it has a beach that you can go for very long walks on. The bed is comfy and its perfect for a family stay. The towels are not the best but it gets the job done. I believe its a great deal for what you pay for

We had an amazing 5 night stay!! The view was amazing and the hotel/room was kept very clean. The best part were the staff they were very polite, friendly, and made you feel right at home!! Definitely would recommend 💯

The place was amazing all around. Only concern was the doorway/entrance to the room wasn’t locked or anything so can’t really sleep with the doors open (ideal if you’re sleeping next to the water) because almost anybody can access the “room”. But other than that, experience is truly exceptional will definitely do it again.

Room and decor is OLD!
- 1/5
The room was a box. Paper thin walls, and attached to kids laughing and partying all night. They did not upgrade us so the room was overlooking a parking garage despite the photos of ocean views. It was not beachfront. There are two other properties in front. Beach is small and not worth hanging out

Horrible experience this trip. We have been regulars at this hotel for years and generations of family. However, the manager Viq Nolley was beyond rude, inconsiderate, and horrible hospitality. DO NOT RECCOMEND!
- 4/5
Great location but the complex needs a full facelift. The staff overall were great!
- 3/5
Best aspect of the hotel is its location. Everything else is "meh".... Bit overpriced for the what you get.
- 4/5
Nice bed, room clean. Ample sized refrigerator, microwave would have been nice. Valet continues to be understaffed. Front desk very friendly as well as rest of the staff. Been coming for over 40 years, will continue to come
- 5/5
Nice view if you get room with balcony. Vallet parking $45.

Attending a beautiful wedding reception. The food was excellent and servers as well.

Used to be great we’re at minimally tolerable with the 1950’s room and beach sand cliff which poses challenges for young families.

We enjoyed our stay here. It was so great to be right on the ocean and walking distance to everything we needed! I would definitely stay here again.

Stay away

Nothing worked most things were broken down

The hotel was nice though old. The bed was very comfortable and the restaurant on site was very good. There is also a great taco shop right next door. I would definitely recommend this hotel and I would love to go back. Easy access to the beach, but lots of stairs and very few elevators.
- 3/5
Limited parking and parking lines were too narrow, drive a Prius or Corolla next time you want to book this place. Parking filled by 9pm.

Love this hotel

Both restaurants were awesome, and the staff was great.
- 4/5
The hotel is a little wore down and looks old but it’s right on the beach and there are rooms that are really nice. We got the standard two bed, no balcony room. next time we will definitely upgrade. The location is great!
- 3/5
We like the jacuzzi, restaurants are walkable, quiet place, and staffs were accommodating. But please can you change your carpet, it’s musty.
- 4/5
Small beach area, especially at high tide. Hard to reach beach area, need to walk over narrow cliff. Pool and hot tub, need to be cleaned.
- 2/5
Not so good. $30/night "resort" for wifi that didn't work. Rooms need major work. No sound proofing. People above us up all night. Water pressure in shower very weak. Location was ok
- 1/5
The hotel is not a hotel , its a motel at least and very run down and dirty, not just overpriced, its a complete dump. Any hostel looks better than this "Hotel". I won't recomment it to anyone unless you want experience what homeless people in California experience.

Good staff and service.
- 2/5
Poorly maintained, front desk staff is rude, rooms are dated and tv was size of our phones, ac units are like freight trains when on, check in parking is horrible, beds are hard - All around overpriced. We paid $700 for a room much like a Motel 6 then on arrival were charged a $30 facility fee PER NIGHT and $45 per night parking fee. So about $1k for sub par lodging. Will not stay again and will simply pay more to stay at Surf and Sand or Montage

Great beach access with towels and chairs/umbrella.
- 3/5
Wonderful hotel room with a good view just what we were looking for. Wish we could have received assistance with the inconveniences we experienced, 2 different associates assured they would send someone over to assist us. Both time that failed to happen, no follow up regarding issue to see if it was resolved. When using text line was left ignored, if no assistance can be provided just be upfront with it don’t just say you’ll have somebody take care of it and no one does.

Great access to the beach. Attentive staff

Nice location in Laguna! Only 5-7 min walk to main beach. Great view from oceanfront balcony - highly recommend!
- 5/5
Love the location and the rooms right above the beach are amazing. We have stayed here at least six times and will continue to call it our Laguna home. Would love to see a little update to the rooms and bathroom but we are able to overlook the small things. Look forward to our next visit!

Valet left car windows open near beach and lights on (car damage claim incoming). Drained battery and needed to call AAA to jump start in morning when trying to leave. Ruined morning and missed kids tournament soccer game due to delay. Hey, they offered to comp the resort fee. Which has rusted out metal doors that could cause need for tetnaus shots on your trip. In for a treat with this place if you like ruined vacations. Btw, no manager on site or reachable to deal with emergency issues. You are on your own!!!

Beautiful view, excellent staff
- 3/5
They tried, but overall missed the mark. Staff isn’t friendly from front desk to bartenders. Every time I asked for anything it was attitude. In a tourism town that despises tourists
- 5/5
The customer service is exemplary. An older hotel but clean with lots of towels and beach chaise chairs and umbrellas on the beach every day. Every person you pass says a friendly greeting. Pools are cleaned of sand daily. Free trolleys take you where you want. I would go there again without hesitation.
- 4/5
This was a nice hotel, on the older side but very clean. The staff was very friendly and it had easy access to the shore. The rooms are clean but a little old but very well kept. We did early check in and charged a $50 fee but well worth it to take advantage of our stay time. Only valet parking for $45 overnight and also paid an additional $15 fee to park early. The beach access there is sloped and rocky. Lounge chairs available but for the most all taken. As we traveled back other beaches had a more convenient access. This hotel is closer to the main beach and down town and lots of restaurants, shops and a Ralph’s nearby. Overall is was a nice experience! We had 2 kids and they also enjoyed the pool.
