Great experience enjoyed every minute of the stay.

This is a gorgeous resort. It has a great pool with lots of lounges and a lawn area above the beach. The staff are all super helpful and genuine particularly the room service guys. The room was a “bungalow” it’s not one though. It’s a room in seperate building with a great view and a nice deck. Well appointed and decorated. Good size bathroom with large shower and tub.

The amenities were wonderful and truly enhanced our experience. We especially enjoyed the restaurants, pool service, and spa, all of which exceeded our expectations. Every staff member we encountered was extremely friendly, welcoming, and accommodating, making us feel valued from the moment we arrived. One of our favorite features was the piano bar area in the lobby. It created such a relaxing and elegant atmosphere and was the perfect place to unwind in the evening. Between the beautiful property, exceptional service, and unbeatable location, this was a memorable stay. We can't wait to come back and visit again!

Exceptional property, from the moment we arrived. Service was what you expect from a top tier property. More family friendly than expected based on the reviews but wasn't an issue for me and my wife even though it may have been if a couple wanted a more adult heavy enviroment. Pool and pool service was top notch. Views you can't beat.

The whole resort and our room had breathtaking views of the Pacific. The rooms were spacious and luxurious. The staff was fantasic and the cuisine at the Mediterranean restuarnat was outstanding. We are on roll this was our 2nd Montage Resort we stayed at and plan to visti all of them. Main pool had lot of children, would be better to have younger children and the loudness on the other pool.

The restaurants were very good and the lobby bar area was great for enjoying a cocktail with friends. The views are spectacular. It is a must to walk down to the beach and enjoy the sunset. Would highly recommend.

The room was described as ocean view. It ended up being a room with a view of the pool obstructing the ocean view. Disappointing.

They have excellent attention to detail. They even charged my electric vehicle, which was at 20%, without me having to ask.

Pretty and clean

First class from check-in to check-out. I didn’t expect this level of hospitality here. Matt at the front desk and everyone else made us feel very at home. The property is very nice to walk am the facials at the spa (Brittany) were top notch. I forgot the name of the bartender/barista that makes the coffee in the mornings but he is going to put the local coffee shops out of business. Thank you for a great time.

Everything here is top notch. The staff is beyond amazing. It’s expensive, but worth the cost if you’re looking for a special trip. Amazing beach and pool. Visit Hannah at the salon for a beautiful blowout. Loved everything about our trip/ we will be back next year.

They should warn guests that come to stay during 4th of July or in general in the summer that huge areas of the resort will be closed for private events… also there was no hot water in our room for the first night so I took a cold shower. We had to remind them again to fix it

Has an amazing time at this hotel. Everything was exquisite and exceeded expectations. Got a room upgrade and the large room with full on ocean view was incredible. Large balcony beautifully furnished. Gorgeous room with sitting space and the bathroom has the most fabulous bathtub. Separate walk in shower, WC and double vanity in a large space was really a standout. Even better than the four seasons hotels we have stayed at. Front desk staff super helpful and special acknowledgment to David at front desk who went above and beyond to make this stay absolutely perfect! My dog was welcomed by staff and guests alike and we will come back asap!!! Thank you Montage Laguna Beach!!

- luggage delivered 2 hours later - Upon booking and check in made sure there’s a crib in our room, entered no crib, told escort person, it wasn’t delivered until with the luggage 2 hrs later - Bathtub faucet had issues - restaurant couldn’t find breakfast reservation which we booked thru concierge - Requested sofa-bed made at turn down service but never done - Few large spiders - S’mores gram crackers staled - Room service inconsistency : missing items or different portion

Overall a very disappointing stay. Value for money was not prevalent. The accommodations were great and the facilities were awesome but staff and customer service was less than disappointing. As a family we were expecting far more than what we received considering what we paid for our accommodations. The staff were unhelpful, rude and honestly not up to a 5-star standard.

The location was perfect. Great views all along the coast. Food was good. Staff were friendly and could not have been more helpful. I think they are short staffed which was a problem as rooms were not ready at check in time and not only ours. Also there was quite a wait to be seated daily at breakfast.

Beautiful!! One recommendation is that they greet you with a beverage. The rest is gorgeous!!!!!! Food was great.

We just had a really bad experience with the neighbors next to our room. They were extremely disruptive and loud which affected our night i sent an email to montage hoping we will get compensated

The hotel and grounds are outstanding. the service around the main pool was exceptional. Lots of staff that were very attentive to guests needs. The Studio restaurant was one of the best we dined at. All the other restaurants on the grounds were very good. Only area for improvement if possible is the valet area took long time to get car when they have weddings etc taking place..Suggest they re design have 2 lanes . One dedicated to car pickup other for car drop off - check in . Would speed things up.

Excellent property with fantastic views and short walking path over ocean. Main pool was out of service which would have been nice to know in advance but spa pool was open.

Moving grass at 6am under hotel room balcony, unable to have a restfull sleep in on weekend. This is not first time staying at Montage this happens. Common sense not to schedule the trimming of grass super early morning, so guests can enjoy sleep in.

Other than a misunderstanding at breakfast this hotel was gorgeous. Wide range of food choices, tentative staff who were polite and courteous..

The property was nice but I was not pleased with my booking through Expedia. The pool is closed from February until May but the only way to find out is to click into amenities on the booking page and scroll all the way down. Given that this property was $1,200/night and in OC, most guests are enjoying the property for the pool and beach I think that this should have been listed in a more obvious way. The property also did not let us know that it was closed upon check-in. If I knew the pool was closed, I wouldn't have booked the hotel until the pool was open again. As a returning guest, I am not happy about this, especially when you're paying $1,200 a night.

Absolutely amazing place. The service was the best I have ever been around. They made you feel so welcome and were super helpful and nice. The room was absolutely stunning and the views were breathtaking. Honestly 10 out 10.

The resort was beautiful, clean, and every staff member was exceptional. In addition, the access to the beach makes it a must visit for people who love clean and not crowded beaches.

From morning during breakfast to all day by the pool was spoiled by the sound of drilling and sawing. I would never had booked had I know. And given I mentioned it to the team shame on them for not making any adjustments to the bill

1. We ask a hand sanitize from front desk and a person said will brining it to room but did not happened. 2. We called front desk to get teeth paste and toilet paper but did not get it . 3. When we order room dining we ask extra chairs so the guy said will bring it up but did not happened so we finish dinner without chairs . Recommend improve services . Thanks

Best place I’ve stayed in a long time! From the location to the quality of service, from the food to the amenities, from the pool to the beach, everything was outstanding! It’d be very hard to beat the view, sunset, and incredibly relaxing vibe here. Can’t wait to return!

They took excellent care of us from start to finish. Was so impressed with the attention to detail and the willingness to accommodate our every request. I also don’t know how they do it but their massive pool was so warm. Perfect for a December swim.

The accommodations were over the top! The whole stay was very enjoyable and service was top notch. I arrived in on an early flight and my room was even ready for check in, and by the way, I did not request an early check in. I definitely will stay here again.

Kristy at The Loft restaurant is fabulous and helped us to have an enjoyable experience. Also, Concierge Christy was very friendly and wonderfully helpful. These employees make the Montage what it is. Definitely will go back.

5 star hotel with 1 star service and treatment if you aren’t the right stereotype or ethnicity. From disgusted awkward looks and side eyes and being asked several times by even the same people during my stay if I was actually a guest and stopped my family and I to verify our cards / names & room number. Pool service didn’t care to serve us but one time and they never even brought our drinks!!! I was embarrassed and so frustrated day 1 at that pool we gave up and went inside to the room .. Day 2 we decide to go the beach and ask the boys for towels and chairs for my wife and daughter and the short response we got from Ashton was “ This is for guest on the montage only “ my reply “ right that’s us “ well we need to verify you are a guest… funny thing is him and his boys VERIFIED MY FAMILY AND I THE DAY BEFORE and no this was not the only time we were asked if we were guest it was a few other times.. food was okay / room was okay but my family and I felt like we were not treated fairly and will take our money elsewhere next time and never return. I’ve been treated better at 2-3 star hotels for a fraction of the costs.

We've been going to the Montage for years and every time it never disappoints. The lobby lounge has spectacular views, my children love the Paintbox and the spa treatments are top notch. What stands out most though is the service. With the attention to detail, I know we're going to have a great experience!!

I've stayed in a lot of really nice places, I don't think I've ever stayed anywhere this beautiful with this level of service. From the time we checked in until the time we left, we were treated like -- what I would imagine "celebrities, are treated. Words, and even the magnificent pictures I captured, cannot begin to describe the beauty of this resort. The flowers and greenery are like nothing I've seen before. We live on the East Coast, so we are very familiar with palm trees and beach living, but this was another level of paradise. The Montage Laguna Beach is more than a place to stay, it's an experience. I will never forget my time there, and I hope one day to be back soon!!!

Property was lovely. Very expensive so value for money was a bit out of balance. Our bill for 4 nights ended up being $15,000 Mark up on drinks was outstanding. Availability in restaurants for on premise guests was not great They also invited kids to kids club events (ie. movie night) without indicating any associated costs. When we checked out we had a cost of $350 for movie night which I think is ridiculous Same for parking, no communication on the cost which was then charged at $70 per night. Room was lovely but for that money I've stayed in resorts that have multiple pools, huge grounds, tended to beaches which bar, chairs, water sports, etc

Really beautiful property with awesome access to the beach. The food and drinks are very good and the staff is the most helpful/polite I have ever seen. I did feel like the pool and hot tub area could use some updates.

The Montage is such an elegant and gorgeous spot right on the ocean.........The Pacific Ocean is particularly beautiful around the resort from all angles. One can view it from all restaurants and pools and walkways or one can actually walk on the beach and enjoy it first hand. The staff makes every effort to please their guests. Arrivals by car can be tight and congested on the weekends so plan to arrive earlier than check in and ask for your car to be brought around earlier than your desired departure.

Just exquisite as always...been coming to Montage Laguna Beach even if I used to live in Newport Beach for years...I just love this place and so does my daughter

From the moment I walked into the front door every associate ensured my stay was the very best. They went out of their way to ensure I had the best experience during my stay. The hotel itself is absolutely gorgeous and I can not wait to return.

Had a wonderful one night stay. Room was clean, complimentary champagne in the room, nespresso machine for coffee and great view of the ocean. Beautiful grounds with easy access to the beach (stairs and ramps). Local shops and restaurants in close proximity. Highly recommend!

Outstanding location, excellent hotel and exemplary service. Our first vacation since Covid began and now it exceeded expectations.

We stayed at The Montage for 8 nights - 2 adults and our 19 year old daughter. Our goal was to just relax for a long week. Our stay at the property was like two completely different vacations. Arriving from the east coast on a Friday night, we found the place to be overcrowded and the staff overwhelmed. Lots of wealth-flashing (turn off) from LA, most pool seats taken by 7 AM for the whole day. We are not budget travelers by any means, but it felt like the prices were crazy high without any added value for what we were paying. The beaches are public, and there is easy access to them so they got VERY crowded. We thought about leaving. Starting on Tuesday the vibe changed as crowding relaxed and the nouveau riche went home. We loved the last 5 days of our stay, though we did go to the pool at 8:00 to find good places to sit. $pa was awe$ome. Food overpriced and good (not great) with their best restaurant still closed. Shuttle and Uber/taxi into Laguna Beach was a struggle every night, but we worked through it. The grounds and location are spectacular - truly incredible views. Staff did their best, but clearly still having issues with recovery from COVID - our bedroom was not cleaned until after 6 PM a few nights. Five weddings while we were there, but that did not seem to cause problems. Overall a beautiful place with nice staff left us with mixed feelings due to first weekend issues. Priced much higher than value received. Nonetheless, we did relax and enjoy.

Everything in one spot-beach/pool. No need to pack and drive anywhere with a 3 year old and a 7 month old.

The ONLY thing I have to sadly say is the FOOD is well below par for such a resort. They need a luxury dining option as some guests like myself would’ve rather paid more and had excellent food. The food was all inclusive quality and I did not enjoy a single meal at the resort.

This is a beautiful hotel on a spectacular site, but two of the three restaurants are closed. We had to make reservations for breakfast at the open restaurant. The spectacular grounds draw major events daily….weddings, receptions,business events. These often start in the late afternoon and run till 10pm. They are often very loud. The hotel becomes the bleachers for these shows.
