Lagos Central Hostel

Very good location and very good value for the money. Our host was very friendly and ready to help, he also provided a heating ventilator, since it was quite cold in January. Room was ok, clean but it shows the furniture is old and worn out. Top terace is good place to have a drink. We had problems with guests next door, they were loud and making problems during the night. Receptor was helpful. Next issue is that building and repairs are going on next door and in the hostel, so it was quite loud during the day. But during the night was ok.

Great location close to the beaches and town center The door to my room had previously been broken into, you could tell by the marks near the latch. It still felt safe as the hostel wasn't busy but that was noticeable.

The rooms did not have heating, which made it very cold at night in December. Beds were very hard and linens were old. Could do with some upgrades in the future for more comfort.

I loved the balcony and the location. Very old shower tapes, taking it too long to change the heat.

Felt like home, the location is central and still quiet. The rooftop terrace is perfect

The staff were extremely friendly and helpful. Everything was very clean, and the views from our small terrace and the shared roof were incredible! It was a little hot at night, but the provided fan helped.

Mr. Sahid was a fantastic host. He was very knowledgeable and friendly; provided great recommendations for things to do around town. 10 Euro scooter was a steal and well worth using to visit other towns on the Algarve coast. Centrally located to get around old town Lagos. Be careful of piping for the showers, the pipes for hot water can get really hot to the touch. Accidentally burned myself when turning around.

-The rooftop, hand down, the best view ever, the sun rises directly in front of the building, like you can literally see it coming up from the sea.. and also it has a barbeque station on the rooftop that you can use for free - the refrigerator at the reception had I think the most cold beers/drinks you'd find anywhere Lagos haha! (But seriously) - The kitchen was fully equiped with enough crockery, pots and pans that we could manage to do a barbeque of 10 people without any issues. Umm, honestly for the price I paid, it was absolutely worth it, maybe in the summer, it can be too hot in the rooms since its not air conditioned but hey, at that price, I think you're already getting more than enough.

It was a clean room. Stuffs are nice.

A little noisy but that is what you can expect from a hostel in a popular party destination! Wouldn't be suitable for families per say but was fine for a young couple like us.

The location was great, close to everything! The place had everything needed for a comfy stay. The terrace was lovely and with a great view, that was my favorite part. And the staff was super nice and welcoming. Would def recommend. The facilites could use some minor improvements such as the bathroom and kitchen details, but other than that the place was great!

The rooftop alone is a good enough reason to comeback. Staff was so friendly and helped me with anything I needed.

Friendly staff

I had a very pleasant stay at this lovely family-run hotel. The atmosphere was warm and welcoming, and the hosts made me feel right at home. The lady who manages the hotel was especially helpful and kind — she assisted me with a few small issues I encountered during my stay, and her support truly made a difference. Both she and her husband were extremely hospitable and attentive.

- amazing hosts, made the place feel like home. Pure heartedly people able to deal with others (even when difficult clients) with respect and warmth - central, you are 5 min walk from a huge free parking lot and you are right at the center of the beautiful old town. Marina..beaches..are all 10 min walk - amazing value for the price. Lagos is quite expensive in general, but the hostel has accessible cheap options and you will have everything you need. - There is a kitchen with all accessories, and the hostel also sells coffee or other things as well. - beautiful view and chilled terrace with sofas and tables where you can chill, eat or work - good wifi from the room, kitchen, shared areas and terrace, shacky at times but good enough even if you need to work remotely. disregard previous negative reviews cause the owner changed recently ...like 3 months ago, so they don't apply to the current hostel!
