Relax Suites Extended Stay - La Mirada

Had we not driven four hours and arrived close to midnight, we would have left immediately. The kids were upset and uncomfortable, which made the experience even more disappointing. I hope this review reaches future guests, but more importantly, the ownership and management team. Significant improvements need to be made to cleanliness and overall upkeep. No family should have to experience these conditions.

Avoid if possible! Pillow smelled like the smoker who last used them. Dirty bed, toilet, carpet, etc. Most disgusting place I have ever stayed. The entire place smells of urine and wet dog. If you mist stay here, bring a plastic liner to sleep on. They do not wash bedding and bathrooms after guests.

The room; the carpet was covered in stains, the fridge and freezer had black mold and unknown substance spilled on it. The sheets had stains and a brown substance on them. When I tried to get my money back the counter person threatened to call the police on me so I left and spent the night in my car with my service dog at the VA parking lot. Absolutely the most disgusting place ive ever been

This was the worst hotel experience I’ve ever had. The sheets were dirty, the towels were stained, and the walls were filthy. The windows didn’t even have screens, which made the room feel neglected and poorly maintained. Cleanliness and basic upkeep were clearly not a priority. I would not recommend staying here and would not return.

Absolutely disgusting experience. I pulled back the sheets and found dirty Q tips and chips and crumbs INSIDE the bed like the sheets had never even been changed. I was so grossed out I couldn’t even sleep there and ended up leaving. Cleanliness should be the bare minimum for a motel room. Never again.

Hotel smelled bad especially in elevators. Tried to switch rooms but ended up leaving after being there 15 minutes. I did get my full refund and the guys at the desk were nice. Does not look like pics on line.

Corridor had an odd smell. Rooms are dated and showing wear. My bath towels were small and one was a bath mat. The actual towel was slightly larger than a hand towel and had holes in it. Not soft by any definition of the word. Being close to the freeway I expected it to be loud but it was not. Better options in that price point I’m sure.

I was very disappointed with my stay at this hotel. The rooms were rundown, poorly maintained, and had a strong smell of smoke throughout. It did not feel clean or comfortable. There also appeared to be long-term residents living there, which created an uneasy atmosphere. Overall, the property did not match the expectations set online, and I would not stay here again.

Carpet room dirty and seen roaches

Room walls had marks, sticky spots on bed side table, feet felt nasty when I walked around barefoot. Ac/fan dis not work, had to leave window open all night and noticed the screen was even broken. Glad we were at least on the second floor so no one could get to the window. Could hear every noise from the other rooms water running, toilet flushes, and tvs. Breakfast included is a stretch. They only have granola bars and oatmeal packets with coffee. No fruit, nothing hot, no toast, muffins, or bagels. I've stayed stayed other extended stays and this has been the worst one.

Honestly I usually don't write bad reviews, but this one has to go on for record.I used to come to this place about years back.In now it's ran down, won't waste your money.It's horrible , trust me , horrible gross , horrible ,all bad even for sixty bucks a wouldn't stay here, air conditioner has the filter?Horrible?Everything is dirty and just just dirty towel stained

This place was easily one of the most run-down, unsafe, unclean, and dangerous hotels I have ever experienced. I was once homeless in my life too so Ive seen some bad places. This was extremely bad...

There was no breakfast just coffee at the entrance.. the hallway smell like dog the towels had stains and holes. There was no cooking utensils to use for the kitchen that was provided in the room. The room smell like cigarettes, cigarette butts or on the windowsill. The furniture was chewed by animals. I had minimum funds to work with, so I couldn’t get another room at a different location. I was disappointed specially when there was no parking.

Walked in the building & it smelt like rotten cigarettes it was very dirty, the room had roaches on the floor and walls. None of the towels were clean , the bed sheets were old and had a nasty smell. Graffiti all over the building I had to leave the same night ..

I liked the way the desk staff worked with me allowing me some time the next day to come up with money I might be shy for the day's rent...

I checked in with my family which I thought was a decent place the same as the picture posted online. When we arrived it was so much different from the posted rooms.The outside was not safe to walk w/ bystanders smoking weed. If I would've known this from the start, I wouldn't check in to this place especially with kids. The environment with roaches, bed bugs was not good. The bed shrank, it feels like there's a hole in there that you don't want to peek. I was afraid that something might come out will bite me. I had rashes from one night stay. The towels in the bathroom was disgusting, a hole and stained. Draiser was broken, there's no chair but had table. The spooky part was that someone was trying to get in without knocking the door or responded after I said "can I help you" someone was trying to force themselves inside the room. I knew before this that the front had something to do with this access. The front desk (guy) who gave me the keys which didn't work the first time, I had to leave my family in the hallway. I'm glad that the deadbolt lock prevent this person to come in. If we were to leave that night and come back, probably someone had gained access without locking the deadbolt. Do not check in here especially single person (woman). I don't know if I would make it alive if I was alone. I'm glad my two girls and husband was w/me.

Upon arriving the smell alone was enough to make me rethink staying but it was only one night so I figured it’d be fine. I requested smoke free and it reeked of smoke. When i arrived in my room, there were TWO dead cochroaches casually in wake by the window and a squished mosquito on the wall. Front desk KINDLY offered to SWEEP the room for me. I requested IMMEDIATE cancellation and refund. This place is ANYTHING BUT RELAXING.

Place was quiet, bathroom & fridge was decently clean, a/c heater good, complementary wrapped plastic cups, unopened tissue box sadly, carpet both in hallways & room really dingy, roaches, strong odor, window screens ripped concern for mosquitoes & flies, wall patches, has iron table w/o cloth or padding. Towel was clean but had a hole the size of a golf ball, Its a pet friendly place, so concerns for fleas. many areas of the parking is dark, door access to outside aside the front door unable to access to come back-in.. all have to use the front door to come back in. Security Cameras everywhere, Staff were semi-friendly..

Good prices no fuss stay

Do not stay here. I am currently trying to get a credit frim expedia or the property. The room was dirty, stains, things held together by electrical tape. The properly was sketchy as heck with people walking around definitely conducting illegal activities. The whole place smelled of cigarettes, weed etc. Do not look at the pictures and think you found a great spot. My smoke alarm was covered by a plastic bag. I don't know if it was makeup or blood on our sheets. We couldn't get into our room with the card - each time the security guard had to get us is, and the first time he knocked on the door to make sure no one was in our room. Dog feces all around the outside of the property. They gave us one foot towel!!!! You will be sleeping with one eye open!!!

Bugs- infested with little roaches in the kitchen cabinets and restroom areas. Woke up in middle of the night to use restroom and felt a bug on my arm and when I smashed it blood came out. I believe it was a bed bug with maybe my own blood, left immediately. Front desk just said they don’t have bed bugs. I took a pic and you decide. You get what you pay for, I thought I had done an extended stay before, either this was way worse or I confused the names never again.

Room was soooo dirty .. walls were dirty n gross .. rug was dirty and that vacuum floor was not mopped. There was roaches.

I wouldn't stay there again. The odors in the room, the old sagging mattress, loud noise outside, cockroaches on the bed. The building needs to be condemned. The staff we're understanding, but given an impossible job to run that hell hole.

While it may not be the Fairfield Marriott, it is a well maintained hotel. The office staff are very accommodating. You do have all amenities you need for day to day life. Security is outstanding and from personal experience, Elsa is the best housekeeper they have, by far. Though they are just getting started, it'll be worth the wait to see how exceptional they get.

Close to freeway a plus... Everything else could be improved... Lots of activities outside, people smoking weed inside and out of the hotel... It was a scary experience...

My worst hotel experience ever!!!I did not know that there is a hotel existing like this one!! I had a very disappointing experience at this hotel. The room was extremely dirty upon arrival—clearly not cleaned at all after the guests who stayed there before me. The most concerning issue was the bedding, which looked like it hadn’t been changed at all. The sheets were wrinkled, stained, and did not feel fresh, which made it very uncomfortable to stay.The only thing the front desk can offer was to give me a fresh sheets and pillow cases and there was no available room person staff who can help me at that time. I did not stay and ask to front desk to make a refund. Cleanliness is a basic expectation when staying at any hotel, and this place failed completely in that regard. It gave the impression that guest hygiene and comfort are not taken seriously. I would NOT recommend this hotel to anyone unless significant improvements are made in housekeeping and overall maintenance. BE AWARE,PEOPLE!!!

You would think Extended Stay would have some sort of uniform requirements across the board for their establishments but no, this particular location was HORRIBLE! Random people just lurking outside everywhere, very dirty, the hallway, elevator, and room smelled like old rotten dirty socks… nauseating, I bring incense everywhere so that helped, there was only 1 towel in the room and when I called the front desk to request more towels they said they didn’t have any and I would have to call back in about 2 hours to see if they had some, just ridiculous! I will never book there again.

Have been traveling and stayed on hotels on business for 35 years, this hotel should be shutdown for inspection The white flat sheets are ok but the blanket inside are ripped that looked like crumbled cookies on top of the fitted sheets. The pillows are half of the standard size like a throw pillows. When I asked for regular size pillows, the pillow covers are stained, pillow cases are crumpled. There’s kitchen but no pots and pans, utensils etc.unhooked telephone and one chair provided on a 4 capacity room. Two bulbs are out. Towels looks like a rug for cleaning cars. We just used the towels to wipe the counters. Terrible hotel to be in your list.

This was a horrible experience. Desde que entramos al hotel, el olor fue muy fuerte. Era como fabuloso tratando muy fuerte de cubrir la suciedad. Entramos al elevador y estaba sucio el pacillo y las paredes. Al salir de ahi no encontramos con la persona de limpieza. Pobre se veia que hacia su mejor esfuerzo en limpiar con las cosas sucias que le dieron. Al entrar a el cuarto cucarachas. Y un olor a húmedo intenso. La verdad todo lo demas ya lo veia con asco. Mi hijo tenia calcetines blanco y camino por el cuarto como 5 minutos y los calcetines se pusieron negros percudidos. La verdad los tire a la basura. Ya no podia lavar esos calcetines. No para que quedaran blancos otra vez di no porque no quería hechar toda esa suciedad a la otra ropa. No me gusta reclamar y por eso no salimos de ahi era noche y ya la familia estaba muy cansada. No re comiento este lugar.

Room 135 the handle was broke it took me a long time to open the door it was just bad.

Check-in process was smooth though, I brought my pet. WiFi is available with no password but a little on the slow side. Step into the elevator, scratches, gang tags, graffiti, all throughout the elevator. It was small, dirty and felt like it would stop working at anytime. Definitely avoided riding the elevator with others in the likelihood that it broke down there would be limited air supply. The room was in the second floor. Carpet to the floor was dirty, grimy, I’m sure it’s vacuumed frequently but it need to be pulled and replaced. Or maybe no carpet….but wait, wooden floors don’t get any better. I open the door to my room, the strongest smell of Pine Sol or Fabuloso, mind you, I think t It wasn’t diluted because the floor was sticky. Sure it’s a disinfectant but who wants a sticky floor? The AC was cranked up all the way, there was no hair dryer in the bathroom, though there was a wall placement for one. The shower curtain looks like it needed to go into the laundry room. The bathroom mirror was covered in spit, bathroom ceiling needs to be wiped down from mildew..oh the venting the bathroom doesn’t work. Bathroom only had one towel for guest and 3 mini towels. Isn’t it standard that hotel/motels have two large body towels in the bathroom? Pros: Hot water Pet friendly No deposit Cons: Dirty asf Guest services 2.5/5 No guest

Horrible !! Don’t stay here

Got here at night tired from work wanted to just knock out, room they gave me was musky and ac wasnt working had to go down stairs to ask to change room 2nd room hallway reeked of weed but again i just wanted to sleep thankfully ac was working but the door had to get slammed to make sure it locked felt like a trap since i had to go and put parking pass on my car outside the cherry on top of everything so far was tv in the room didnt work 🙃

The room had roaches the room had a TV with no power cord so I had no tv to watch the bath tub was disgusting I asked the front desk for a tv or a different room and they told me that there was nothing they could do and as for Expedia they also told me that there was nothing they could do the hotel refunded me $20.00 and that was it I don’t recommend this hotel or Expedia

The rooms, halls and stairs smell like dog urine, staff couldn’t care less of what the rooms look like the kitchen dirty, walls are stain with brown stains, bed had cigarette burns, non smoking still smells like smoke. Carpets are dirty and stained.

The room was very dirty, mirrors weren’t clean, furniture wasn’t wiped down, carpet was dirty and a corner of the bed was chewed off. They look nice from the outside, but once you walk in the room it’s a different story. I wouldn’t recommend this place.

This was the worst room I ever booked through Travelocity—the carpeting was filthy, the bathroom smelled bad and there was a huge stain on the drain in the tub. No bath towels only two hand towels. No phone if you needed to contact the front desk, no clock, no wifi, no blanket on the bed. There was a security guard posted at the front entrance leading me to believe the hotel and general area wasn’t safe. It was the worst experience of any hotel I have ever stayed at!

This hotel is not it. The photos that are used on the listing are probably really old, from when this hotel first opened, but not indicative of its current state. It is much more run down, not cleaned between visitors, smells different in each room but still terrible. The first room that I was given, I found a roach and asked for another one. The man at the front desk was nice and allowed us to inspect another room to possibly give us upon request, but when we went up to check the next room, it was worse. While there was no roach in the second room, it clearly had not been cleaned from the last set of visitors. The sink had food in it, the wood floors clearly had staining, the countertop had not been cleaned either. It was absolutely disgusting, we grabbed our stuff and ran. There was no way we could spend the night there.

We left as soon as we got there, had to book a different hotel down the street. The property was rundown and dirty with a disgusting smell of a mix of cleaning products, must and bug repellent. We spotted lots of roaches so that explains the bug spray. Just needed a place for one night, but couldn’t do it. I would avoid this property.

I stayed here for one night and had a very bad experience The room was much smaller than shown in the photos on Expedia and it did not look like the pictures at all The bed sheets were dirty and did not seem properly cleaned which was very uncomfortable. Don't get catfished by the photos. Place is old, poorly maintained, smells weird, and seems to have a large majority of long-term shady looking residents. Still if you can't be bothered by any of that and need to save as much as you can, this place is definitely what you get when they say you get what you pay for.

The hotel was full of roaches of all kind. Staff weren’t friendly. Elevator, laundry area and back door were so dirty. It takes forever for us to open our room door. It’s so disgusting and disappointing.

No screen no phone windows almost fell out of the frame when I opened it. Blanket after three days here no housekeeping staff is really great though. Seems like the owners need to get their attention on slum dog millionaire cause they may need to come check out the safety. I was desperate and I'll so now I'll be looking for a better room. The manager put me and my girls in a room that smelled like death. I took pictures of the bed with the same sheets on from the previous guest with black hair still in the bed. The tub had some kind nasty brown stuff by the drain and when I went to the front desk to report it and asked for a clean room all he said was “I just walked that room and it was clean”, he ended up putting us in a different room on another level which the room ended up having roaches that I believed that was coming from the trash room which was a few feet’s away from my room. It doesn’t seem to look like they take pride in this Extended Stay which is now own by new owners and call Relax Inn. This hotel should be shut down with all the short cuts that they are taking with the lack of cleanliness and no pest control. Being that they are pet friendly that could be another reason why it attracts roaches, they love the dog food. If you see roaches trust and believe they will start to see mice and rats! Don’t stay here if you can afford to stay somewhere else!!!

The hotel was very duty in general, it smell bad. The coffee pots that they offer in the morning were very duty you can tell they don’t wash them cause the dirt was visible. The elevator was absolutely bad, duty and you can tell that they don’t clean.

The bed had a curtain used as a blanket, and when I asked for another the desk guy looked irritated that I asked for towels and blankets. I ordered a pizza and I asked the desk dood for some paper towels and he gave me Kleenex and said to use this. I will never stay there again , also there’s a bunch of homely looking people up and making noise all night, through the parking lot. Unprofessional and had no intention whatsoever for making your stay pleasant.

i got catfished on the room , when i booked it showed a different room that looked nice and made me wanna book but ended up getting a dirty smelly room with sheets that made me itch and the whole room smelled like dog pee and cigarettes and i did not like the vibe or space at all , i felt uncomfortable. the pillows had a mold smell to it and the towels had stains and rips . other than that the staff were pretty chill and nice about giving us new sheets.

If I could give a zero stars, I would. Upon entering the lobby there was a hostile and uneasy atmosphere by staff. Upon entering the room, the decor is outdated and just old. The bed sheeting was not anywhere near to hospitable. Also, ROACHES. I lasted not even a full 5 minutes in the room where I asked for a refund and booked elsewhere.

1st off staff was great. Our room was decent or so i thought i got to room after a 5 hour drive. Wanted to take shower and relax. I get in shower the curtian barelly clised i had to hold it so water would not get everywhere. The water pressure was weak.Im a fairly large man with a lot of surface area. Then i look down the water isnt draining from tub i had to turn water off wait about 15min for it to drain. Same with sink in room. The worst part about it ny wife woke up in the middle of the night. She saw a group of roaches coming out of the wall.

The most disgusting room i have ever rented in my enitre life. It was gross. I have pictures to prove this is false advertisement! It smelled the room was dirty. The carpet was filthy. There were no towels when i went to ask they handed me towels that looked like hand towels and they had yellow stains all over them. The handicapped room that was needed wasn't avaliable when I arrived. Check in time was 4pm, I got there 5:30. So I settled for a non handicapped room. The room and everything in it was filthy and smelled, the kitchen, and the fridge wasn't even cold. The heater didn't work.

Very odd staff. Had to wait forever for the front desk that wasn’t there to check me in. When the front desk did come , he didn’t have shoes on. There is security guards that make it seem scary to stay there. The building also needs repairs and looks worn and torn.

We checked in and as soon as I opened the door a cockroach ran across the floor. There was no blanket on the bed. There was one thin worn out towel. When I used the bathroom another cockroach ran at my feet. We left right after that. And couldn’t get a refund.

The only star I can offer for the now hotel is the automatic refund after I asked to check out with refund same day we checked in. Other than that everything was horrible from atmosphere to the cleanliness.

However, that’s about as good as it gets. Driving into this parking lot, we noticed many random people walking around, seemly sketchy and not safe parking lot. Walking into the lobby, we were immediately greeted with cigarette smoke and who know what other kind of smells; non of the pleasant. Up the elevator, the smoke smell became worse because there is little air circulation. Walking dow the hall, we got an eerie and uneasy feeling, all while it still smelling like smoke. Walking into the room, the air filled with the smell of more smoke. The breaking point was the bathroom, the counter had bad stains, cockroaches crawling around and the smoke smell was so intense and concert rated that i became lightheaded. We quickly walked back to the lobby, checked out, and ended up leaving the hotel light headed and with a headache. To all future tourist, please avoid this hotel at all cost, not only will it ruin your vacation but possibly also your health. I feel like this hotel needs to get investigated because it seems like only drug users stay here. The two securities at the entrance did give us a bit of peace of mind in terms for safety, but still not a place i would be coming back to, ever.

Stayed here for 2 nights and advertise as pet friendly yet no dedicated pet area so that means that there’s feces all around the property as neither the pet owners and hotel staff cleans outside as they barely clean inside. Saw police patrol in the evening and again in the morning as I suspect other things goes on in the parking lot. Place is rundown and used to be a real extended stay hotel. Now the appliances are broken down, no more kitchen items and they have the thinnest towels that you can almost see through like paper. The bed is lumpy and the springs are sunken in some places of the mattress. I would never go back here.

It was the most horrible hotel I have ever experienced. They write your room number on the parking pass that goes outside. So they know exactly where you are staying. The door to get into the room was unscrewed on one of their hinges. You could push the door in I’m sure. I would never stay there in 1 million years and it makes me not ever want to go through hotels.com ever again.

The hotel had trash everywhere, in the entrance, hallways, the elevator, parking lot. It smelled badly. The room had cockroaches in the room & bathroom. They had 1 medium towel & 1 large towel for 2 people. No soap, hair shampoo nor conditioner. The carpet in the room was filthy. I will never stay there again. We arrived Kate at night and it took about 30 minutes to get us a room. So sad we stay as we had no other place to go that night.

Saw a couple little critters in the middle of the night when I went to the restroom, but besides that I found a fairly decent deal AC works great.

When we went inside to check in, there was a stench of smoke (legal and illegal), wet and damp clothes, and moth-smell closet. It's indescribable, the smell actually gave me a headache! The employee checked us in, and told us to wait. He wanted to make sure that the room was ready. He came back a few minutes later and completed the check in process. As we waited for the elevator, the really-really-really bad odor followed us. The elevator opened and it was full of graffiti, and it was not clean. We got out, and walked down the hallway. And the hotel resembled a very rundown shady motel. The hallway was dark and the carpet was dirty. And the bad odor was still there. We knew that we made a bad booking! We got inside the room, #212, and it looked like a crime scene. There were red stains on the carpet, the counter was dirty and sticky, and the room had a smell of weed! We were there for no more than 20 seconds and decided to leave. We took the stairs down this time and spoke with the employee. We explained that the photos depicted in the website were inaccurate and the room was just unacceptable! We didn't even ask for a refund!

First it smells like marijuana in the elevators going to the room again it smells very stingy. Smoky got into the room. Restroom was terrible. Looks like the maid never cleaned the bathroom correctly. Roaches had to go get towels for the bathroom rugs on the floor. You’ll be vacuum and washed very ugly. Talk to the guest services explain what’s going on. You can trade me that they were working on it on renovating the hotel but for now I will stay away from this hotel until a couple of years from now.

I got huge bug bites on my legs after spending just one night there. The bites were as big a a coin and it itches bad.

Experience was not good at all as soon as you walk into the hotel it smells like cigarettes in the lobby. The room was ok the bathroom had a very strong smell of Clorox. The sheets on the bed and towels were stained. No towels in room you had to go to lobby and ask for towels everyone you needed them. The bathroom did not have shampoo conditioner or hairdryer. The fridge had a bad smell . The microwave was rusted. I asked to get a refund the hotel asked me to talk to hotels.com and hotels.com told me to talk to the hotel staff no hep from anyone

First off it looks nice from the outside but once inside it’s grimey,dingy, and smells like animal piss. Then head over to elevator and it was full of graffiti and was dirty. The hallway to the rooms carpet smell like dog piss and looked like it hasn’t been cleaned in years. Also not well lit. Then you enter your room. And looked like the floor wasn’t even cleaned. It’s an old hotel I get it. But the bed was squeaky and I feel the coils on my back. And the ROACHES in the bathroom. You all need to update the pictures on website it was falsely advertised. Stay at your own risk. They do have security sitting outside all night. So I wondered why they need that service. And the breakfast they advertised was instant oatmeal and coffeee. I should have took pictures.

This place looks like a crime scene and something you would see off of a horror movie. There are blood and feces, stains everywhere and cockroaches in every part of the rooms. The front desk kept offering me different rooms to avoid a refund, but every room looked worse. Pictures and video are available upon request of this whole establishment . Expedia denied finding accommodations and denied giving me a prompt refund for credit that would have helped finding accommodations for my family and I.

Doors and locks keep banging all night. Dirty old towel, only 1 bath towel and a hand towel provided. Old fridge and oven. Everything is just old and room rate is expensive too for price. Sorry stay away period far away!!!

We didnt have a breakfast, the room was dirty housekeeping tried to accommodate date us , but not their fault the mattress had stains , we saw this because the bed was not made up with clean sheets when we arrived ,had stains and they had to change, we only got 1 towel , 1 little bar of soap, i kept all lights on because afraid of cockroaches , sorry to say all this but not a clean place at all , to be very honest this place needs serious renovation , plus the front lobby smelled like Marijuana , we would of checked out but had to be at a wedding and drove 6 hours to get there so not much choice since most hotels around were already booked on a saturday..just so you know the pictures you have online were probably taken when this place first opened but there are difiantley not recent .

This place is disgusting! Took forever to check-in due to only one person working. I specifically asked for a clean room, the room did not smell pleasant. No remote for the TV, pillow cases had make up, had to go back down stairs to make these things know because the phone is not operable, this in itself is a safety issue. Once I had the remote, the tv kept turning off....FRUSTRATING FOR SURE. There were roaches, one even got in my bag. Floor was not properly cleaned. People hanging around outside. If we had another choice for the evening, definitely would've left. Where was the breakfast??

Pretty nice room. There should be more towels added to the room for more convenience and the refrigerator was leaking water onto the floor could cause a pretty bad accident if someone isn't paying attention.

Your staff was friendly and your security eager to help you. The room was missing a curtain and had a large wall mirror covering the window and seemed awkward. Upon entering the room, the a/c was running and the room was freezing. There was only one set of towels and the bed didn't have a blanket but a thin blanket. Also there was a large dog that kept barking constantly in the third floor (I think in room 303 or 305). I also did not like the fact that there were no luggage carts to utilize to assist in loading my luggage. The floors in the bathroom were dirty with stains. The bathroom counters were stained. There were only 2 pillows on the bed and there should have been at least 4 pillows. The pillows must have been washed with some bad detergent because when I woke up my face had a rash. I wanted to shower but the lack of towels made me decide not to shower. The dresser was broken and the blanket had a large hole that looked like someone burned it with a cigarette. There was no signage that provided information about the hotel and when breakfast was available. Only thing I saw was coffee and packets of oatmeal and a pitcher of hot water. That was not really a breakfast in my opinion. When I checked out one of the hotel's front desk people smelled of body order. I feel that the hotel could really use some serious help to provide a clean and safe environment.

The overwellmingstrong nasty smell upon walking into the lobby was enough to make us walk out, Upon entering our room, the smell was worse and the carpet near the kitchen was damp and the bathroom floor was full of water. We then noticed the pipe overhead was leaking profusely. There was white powder around the walls for insects but we saw numerous cockroaches. Tv didn’t work. We complained but we were told to notify hotels.com. We left at 3 am. Upon leaving we saw numerous guests also complaining about cockroaches and gangs with pit bulls entering the building. Not happy, this place needs to Bo condemned and shut down.

Just when i thought i was gonna relax & have some peace of mind, i locate my room & there was a roach on the wall outside my door before i even entered & no surprise there was roaches in my room as well!! The hotel staff is absolutely wonderful. They are the only reason this place can survive. They do the best they can with the roaches, leaky faucets, rusty pipes, just outright filth of it all. This place used to be a step or two above a raggedy motel and now it is down in the gutter or below right along with them.

The first room I was given smelled of mildew and dingy carpet - the A/C or open window couldn’t help it so I requested a room change, and the stay was even worse.

The staff upon check in was very helpful and courteous. Once we had got into the room it was still dirty. The beds were made but did not have a blanket. Only the fitted sheet and flat sheet. Only 2 towels, and it was a double bed. I did see cockroaches in the kitchen area bathroom, and by the bedroom. This Extended Stay has been the worst on I have stayed at.

Stinky place

When I arrived, I had to wait 30 min before someone came to the front desk to check me in. There are people staying long term, and it felt like low income housing. When I got to the room the shower curtain was falling out of the wall. My daughter and I didn’t feel safe, so we just left. No one at the front desk again to talk to about a refund so I forfeited the cost of the room.

The property looked nothing like the pictures online. There was what appeared to be a homeless lady in the parking lot when we arrived. The cars we parked next to looked as if people lived in them. We went to the room there was dog food on the floor and dog hair everywhere. There were used water bottles in the refrigerator. Fortunately, when we went to check out we were given a full refund. We drove around the building and some of the windows on the back side of the building were busted out. Upon further reflection we decided the lady we thought was homeless was probably a resident of the hotel. It looked more like a homeless shelter than a hotel. Did not feel safe at this location. We were afraid to put our bags down for fear we would get some unwanted guests in them.

This place waa the most horrible hotel i have ever stayed and booked thru hotels.com. The hotel looks nice on tje outside but as soon as you pull into the parking lot it ia disgusting. People are sleeping in their cars. The smell of urine permeates the entrances and the elevator. Once in the room there was blood on the sheets. We had moved the lounge chair to adjust things and there was a bag that lookes that beed used for drugs empty on the floor. We tried to make the best of m it but coold not put up with how dirty the bes was so we bought cheap sheets cause they wouls not replace them. And when ww went to chnge them more stains on mattress. Had to change rooms aftwr arguing but we checked 2 before we accepted one. HORRIBLE. SHAME ON BOTH THE PLACE AND HOTELS.COM

KEEP AWAY FROM THIS DUMP! This is the worst hotel (more like a halfway house) I’ve ever stayed in. I wanted to run away as soon as the uber dropped me off because of the characters that were hanging outside. A crackhead talking gibberish was the first person I encountered at the reception then as I uninterested/unfriendly receptionist, a barefoot woman her entire body covered in spots/blotches came to talk to him. I was literally shaking with fear at this time. I was handed my room card and my on entering the room, my first greeter was a roach!! I tried to step on it but disappeared into the crevices on the wall. I stripped the bed to check for roaches/bugs & there and then made up my mind that I wasn’t going to sleep on it. Meanwhile more roaches appeared on the floor and ceiling but I was too scared to leave my room to let the receptionist know what I’d seen. To cut a long story short. I did not sleep on the bed but sat on the chair ALL night. I always carry my own towel and spread tissue paper on the table and put my towel over it. There were noises all night and dogs barking. I hardly slept fearing that the gangster looking shirtless characters I’d seen in the hallway would shoot through my room. I did not take a shower - how could anyone in their right mind do that? The bathtub was dirty and sink& counter had cigarette burns all over the place. After seated on the chair all night, I only brushed my teeth. I checked out so fast from this nightmare. Got 20% credit.

Everything is torn down. Rotten stinky dog peed on disgusting! The property is dirty outside covered in trash rank, stinky dog poop everywhere! None of the key doors work. They are all broken, extremely old, broken spring beds! Foul stained carpets through hallways. Everything including the elevator reeks like dog pee! The bedding had cigarette Burns. The floor had mold! We were exhausted from our trip and just needed some sleep. It smelled terrible. It looks terrible. If I wasn't afraid of continuing to drive, I would have left! As soon as I parked my car, I was approached by a sheriff and asked if I was staying there because this hotel was not very safe and he wouldn’t recommend me staying here. I told him I had already paid on the app so I went in to double check it And the place was very dirty and the staff was rude. I checked in walked in the room and walked right back out. Everything is very dirty. The carpets as entries is very, very dirty. I would never recommend this place.

I did not like my experience with that motel because employees were not professional. There’s nobody at the front desk also while going up to the room, the elevator smell like human pee and cigarettes Also the hallway going to my assigned room smelled like pee.

Walking in the lobby smelled horrible and the environment felt unsafe. Hallway carpet was stained and dirty. The room was dirty. Fridge had old food stains. Microwave had old food grease on top. Bed was horrible. Top sheet had stained covers below that also had stains and hair, also pieces of dried food.

There were some kind of shady possible drug deals going on and out of the motel. One person behind the desk that was doing everything and there were like 3-4 police cars that were actively investigating something. Different people kept knocking on our door and there were stains all over the hotel room. I also got bit by bed bugs all over my leg

The price was great..the facility not so much. Dirty carpet throughout, unknown odour in hallways, loud lodgers slamming doors, dogs barking all night, screaming all night inside & outside, roaches in the bathroom was the final straw for me. On top of that there were Public Nuisance notices posted on the doors to the building, and evidence of damaged vehicle window.

This property was beyond unclean, unsafe, and it doesn’t seem to be a care for the guest from the staff when these things are mentioned.

The property looked unsafe as we arrived. There were several police cars in the parking lot as we entered it and many people sitting around on the sidewalks and in the lobby. As we entered the hotel office, the officer stopped us to ask us if we were planning on staying here. We said we had a reservation but asked why she had asked. She stated that the property was unsafe and there was a shooting last night at this hotel. She said she did not recommend staying because there have been many break ins in cars and the property is unsafe. As we decided to leave and walked back to our car, we saw shattered auto glass in the parking lot. I do not recommend this hotel because it is unsafe!

The whole place smelled of dirty dogs and their feces and urine , in the halls and in the rooms , rooms also smelled like roach spray and had roaches , carpet was dirty inside the room , no utensils in the room , and drug addicts knocking on doors and trying them with expired key cards , there is urine everywhere inside and outside the building , will never stay here again , will try to get a refund

I was unable to check in, there was no one there waited close to 20 minutes. People kept coming up to the reception area to complain and no one was there. Homeless saying in the front area smoking. Some lady was watering down the entrance seemed like urine. It was nasty, felt so unsafe. We left! REFUND MY MONEY!

This is not for families. The property was dirty and there were people doing drugs everywhere around the property. The sheets were stained with fresh blood. It was just the worst I’ve ever seen. We walked in the room and left right away.

The elevator, hallway , and our room smelled like cigarettes. The room first room we were in had ashes all over the counters , the floor was wet and damaged we had to switch rooms. The second room was tagged with graffiti, smelled like cigarettes, and there rooms were not cleaned properly. The previous guest left a pair of shoes. The sheets were badly stained. I was staying with my two young children to get away from the our hot house and to stay in a room with AC. That was the only good thing about the place was the AC worked very well.

The room was gross. Graffiti etched into the mirror, busted closet, top of the fridge covered in grime. Bugs crawling out of the outlet. Unsavory persons on the porch. Noisy with questionable people everywhere. Included breakfast was an unkempt coffee station and a nutrigrain bar.

AVOID THIS HOTEL. The dirtiest, smelliest, shadiest “hotel” I’ve ever had the displeasure of stepping into. The lobby was filled with random luggage left behind, trash, and random stains on the carpet. The entire hotel smelt like smoke. We couldn’t open the door into our room and the front door liaison had trouble getting into it. We are then let into an uncleaned room with no towels, no comforter, stains on the carpet and a dirty bathroom, stickers on the headboard, furniture falling apart, and crumbs in the cabinet's. . Spent maybe two minutes looking around before we decided we’d be better off spending the night literally anywhere else. Expedia: take this hotel off your site.

The room was completely disgusting, dirty floors, sticky counters and chairs, paper thin walls, room phone not working to call front desk, tv not working, cigarettes smell in non-smoking room. Fighting tenants, police called. Horrible bed, bloody fitted sheets and no flat sheets. Fighting tenants who were kicked out, out side of window and speaking loudly all night.

This hotel may seem decent on the outside and even in the lobby but all that changes once you get on the elevator. We walk into our room and there was a broke water painting brush on the counter, the sink hadn’t been cleaned in who knows how long, the mirror was drawn on and had math problems on it, and the sheets were drawn on… this place was disgusting I have no idea how they are in business other than by drug addicts and prostitutes. I checked out after 20 minutes of being there and even that was too long. This hotel should be closed immediately. Another couple I had overheard was leaving due to mold in their room and another person was leaving due to roaches. This hotel is absolutely unacceptable.

The property is very dirty and the room smelled like dogs and there are a lot of weirdos there that are drug addicts. Very unsafe and everything is dirty. Would not recommend for anyone to stay here especially families with kids.

The hotel is atrocious. Roaches everywhere throughout the property and in the rooms. Hallway carpeting is full of stains and mold and all walls are covered in dirt and smudges. Elevator is a cesspool. The front desk staff is completely useless. They don’t care if you are standing in front of them for half hour while they are conducting personal business in the phone. They don’t pay attention to any complaints and are don’t even bother replying to your inquiries . You have a better chance to get a quicker and more intelligent answer from a door stop. The place should be shut down and demolished. The only reason I stayed is because they refused to provide a refund or change my room so I was not going to just give my money away.

I was not aware the kind of hotel this was. This is a longer stay place, the pros is that it has a mini kitchen and it is spacious. The cons, is that is not safe. I encounter a few working girls in the elevator and a drug addict in the lobby that seem hurt,, he keep coming close to me and I had to sask him to stay away. I rang the bell and had to wait at least 15 minutes; lots of dog poop in the surroundings. Dirty place...

This place is filthy and should be condemned! How is it still open? The rugs in the hallways are so dirty they're now black! The stairwells stink of urine and the outside has dog droppings everywhere. Staff act as if youre not a paying customer when you ask for towels that should already be in the room prior to check in.

I showed up to check in and was a little nervous when i walked in. There were dogs everywhere and on was barking at me and growling at me while waiting to check in. Checked in, got my room key, and when I walked in I was shocked. It was pretty worn out inside and not clean. I walked into the bathroom and a dead cocoroach and a live one was crawling on the bottom of the shower. The seams of the shower were black. I was in that room fo approximately 5 minutes and left. I had to scramble to find another hotel because it was so late when i arrived.

I’m a resident in LA for more than 40 years and I’ve been staying in hotels due to some jobs in different locations, last night I had the worst experience ever…..this place is the worse experience I ever had in my entire life, I never seen a place that dirty like this one, in my room I have a rusty refrigerator that stink and smell like garbage, the mattress was all stained and the floor sticky, the elevator is full with graffiti everywhere, I should check the Yelp app for its 2.5 stars and the worst thing is this hotel is a private own and not part of extended stay of America

This place is a disaster!! I have many complaints. The toilet didn't work. I called the front desk and they came to fix it twice but since the water pressure was low and the maintenance guy wasn't there, they left the plunger for me to take care of. I had to call at least 2x for them to come up each time.Bed sheets were stained, towels were only provided for 1 person (had to ask for more), the shower curtain was dirty and didn't pull all the way, smoke alarm goes off at 2am, a lady was calling someone's name down the hallway at 4am, noisy refrigerator, our room was nx to the stairway and every time the door was released, it made a drilling sound. I was able to move to another room which was better but still filthy. It looked like dry blood on the floor. I wiped the counter and the paper was black!! Graffiti was present, not a good place if u have kids. The only thing positive is the staff was nice.

We went there and they did not really warn us that the carpet had just got done and the carpet was wet using a whole bunch of chemicals and we thought it would dry so we stayed a little bit. Woke up with a headache and the smell did not go away. It smelled like ammonia my throat burned, and on top of that I went to talk to the staff to try to get a new room and they were booked and then they told me they would give me a refund to come back in the morning we left. We came back in the morning and they just refused to give us a refund or a parcel refund because we did stay there for a few hours. This place was horrible. Only one of the four lights worked in the room. Graffiti was all over the bathroom mirror, and it took 2 hours after check-in to receive any towels. There were also lots of homeless people wandering the parking lot. dog crap everywhere.

Our experience here was terrible. The property outside seemed dirty. There seemed to be homeless or people on drugs outside. The hallways had small trash on the floor. It seemed like they didnt have enough staff to keep it clean. Once in the room we noticed that the furniture had not been cleaned and we saw dust. Overall I would not recommend this property nor come back. I was bummed because Ive stayed there before back in 2021 and that is why I wanted to come back but it looks like throughout the years it has drastically changed.

Not bad overnight stay. There was a brown out that lasted at least one hour. I had to use my phone light so I could take a shower. I like the full size refrigerator. I could have used 2 more pillows. The floor was dusty at corners, under table/ chair, along baseboards. Elevator floor strewn win trash, paper cups, candy wrappers, etc.

When they took it over from Extended StayAmerica, they didn’t keep up with it. You can tell the service isn’t really good. It’s OK and things in the room don’t work like the stove and the refrigerator half the time and they tend over a book which means you could book the room, but They will continue so you may not get the room you booked

The properties all right, but is starting to well it doesn’t look like what it used to look like they took it over from Extended StayAmerica and you can tell they’re not really keeping up with it. The prefer the refrigerator works half the time and the stove most of the time does not work at all and even if you book a room the over book or they will continue to book so it doesn’t mean you’re gonna get the room you’ll get a different room than the one you booked

The property was conveniently located to most of the amenities in La Mirada. The price was commensurate with the age and decor of the location. There were stains on the sheet and the staff wasn’t overly friendly. All in all, it was an average stay.

Definitely not a place to take your family. Unsafe and sketchy area. Breakfast is a scam: granola bars, instant oats, and watered down coffee. If you do stay, please check the bedsheets and the mattress. The room has an unpleasant and old scent to it. Also, my sheets and mattress had blood stains and black marks on them. Either the staff do not care to throw the sheets away and rewash them or some dangerous things went down in my room.

Front desk- we arrived at midnight, no one was there, had to ring their “doorbell” twice and lobby was not maintained but still props to the front desk guy cause it looks like he was the only one running the front and housekeeping. Hallways were dark and smelly Bedroom (we had two double beds)- we had to kick some of the legs in place so the beds dont drop to the floor, all sheets were not changed and even had “stains” and blood. We were already tired and just asked new sheets and laid it on top of the bed, we couldn’t get AC work, remote had no batteries, table leg was broken, bulb was flickering Bathroom- plumbing was loud everytime the other rooms would flush, found hair and blood, sink was leaking so couldn’t use it

If the company you keep includes addicts, prostitutes and drug dealers along with filthy amenities and dogs barking all hours then look no further because this is the place for you.

This place NEEDS to be shut down permanently. It is very disrespectful has cockroaches. I wish I would get my money back. I feel disgusted. Only had one towel. Bed sheets were dirty looks like they were not washed. I felt like I was going to get hepatitis C just being in that place. Very very very upset. I do not think they clean or wash sheets or towels. It smells horrible.

There was a large bag of animal feces in the stairway for 3 days. The towels are filthy and the air-conditioning does not work.

Stay far away from this place. I was in room 203 the bathtub was making noise one day and when I went into the bathroom it looked like some flushed their poop into the bathtub. So it happened again but this time it stayed half full for a while and I couldn’t even take a shower all day bc of it. So they said plumbers are coming but they didn’t fix anything bc let me explain. So the next day I’m just hanging out in my room with a friend and next time you know I see water all over the floor. So I run to the bathroom and see that the bathtub has filled up with sewer water and that nasty water was just about 85% of my floor was soaked in that nasty water. They promised to move me in a working room but when the time came they told me no rooms were available so I said well then give me a refund and I’ll go book a room and elsewhere. But the owner and manager here are so cheap they wont refund me but put me in a known plumbing issue room but doesn’t overflow with water in the bath tub. But hey at least the floor isn’t sewage water. So the sink in the bathroom doesn’t work and you can’t turn off the hot water in the shower so constantly leaks hot water and never stops. So the hot water leaking makes the bathroom super hot like a sauna. They know this room doesn’t work bc they closed the water valve underneath shut closed so no water comes out. But if you open it the water works but the pipe leaks all the water into the floor. I was only offered 15% off for 3 days when one day couldn

The property is tucked away from the main streets that it seemed very sketchy and unsafe when we arrived late at night. Floors were sticky. Room smelled like pets. Do not recommend at all! Staff was friendly enough, so can't really blame them. Just stay away!

When i got to the hotel to check in the guy was on his phone the entire time. When we were finally checked in we Went to the room and found roches on the walls and floors. Bath tube was clogged and so was the sink in the bath room. Heater didnt work. The rooms look nothing like the pictures. They are false advertising.

Once we arrived, the were shocked too find how dirty the room was. It had a terrible odor. We checked back out and told them we would not be staying the night. The room was completely unacceptable and will be pursing a refund.

This place was good about a year ago. Now mostly druggies in the parking lot just posted up. The water coming out of the bathtub and sinks is literally black dirt I’m not even exaggerating one bit! When I told the front desk they told me they know just let the water run for a bit. What in the actual $@&!! And no amount of time running the water does it get better I’m talking sediment swirling around the tub and sink can’t wash anything can’t take shower and the beds sheets and towels are stained with god knows what I’m sure it dried sticky then was washed again. A little disappointed they didn’t offer a partial refund when I booked 5 nights and their appliances didn’t work. The refrigerator wasn’t working that good but the freezer section was fine. The microwave circular glass tray wasn’t the right one so it was lopsided made noise and whatever was in the microwave it could’ve fell over. The worst part about the room was the bathroom sink didn’t work at all. So I checked underneath the bathroom and noticed the water was shut close so I turned them on. The water started to work but next thing you know it started leaking a bunch of water from under the sink. Which is why the water was shut from the beginning. Lastly the shower you could noticed the water wouldn’t shut off completely so it leaked and it was hot water so the bathroom was always hot. What I didn’t noticed the first time using the shower was the 3rd night I noticed when you first turn on the shower the water comes out brown/yellow ish which was disgusting and they couldn’t move me rooms bc their were full. After telling the other workers up front and I believe the owner or manager was there and overheard me but yet still did not offer me a refund or some compensation for the days I was in that room. I mean $20 off each night would’ve been awesome. But the fact nothing was done or given to me and the fact I have to even say something well makes me not want to spend a single dollar here again. And writing a negative review does more harm to the business since they did nada.

The parking lot had trash and cars that looked like they have been parked there for a long time, the interior of the hotel was run down and the tv was broken. Basically a beaten up place that has not received much up keep.

This location got new owners and is going downhill. The parking lot always seems to have activity going on now. Shady people. We arrived about 40 mins prior to check in bc we had a long drive to downtown for a wedding. We tried checking in early so we could change and head out. The guy told us everyone was on break and that no rooms were available till exactly 3, highly unlikely but ok. I’ve never had an issue checking in a bit early anywhere else and its not like we were hours early. Only one person at desk at 3pm and of course long line bc everyone needs to check in. Saw a roach in the restroom of our room. Overall this place feels unsafe now with the people outside hanging out at all times of day and night.

Very friendly, quick and efficient at the front desk. Nice comfortable bed and really liked the fridge with a freezer. The room I stayed in was very quiet.

We reserved two rooms. One room was clean. The other room literally smelled and looked as if it had been cleaned after a murder. The room stank and smelled like mold and the carpet was soaking wet from having been cleaned. The word “die” was carved upside down on the top of the bathroom door. There were stains on the wall, floor and lamp shade that looked like blood. We had to sleep with the windows open because the smell was so bad. The staff didn’t seem to care except for the young lady working the day shift but she seemed new. There was only one roll of toilet paper in the bathrooms and one of each type of towel. The towels are so cheap they were falling apart and left white strings in my hair after drying it. The carpets throughout the hotel were badly stained and the trash room was packed full of trash when we dropped off ours. When I told the front desk that I left the window open to air out the room upon checkout, he looked at me like I was bothering him. The grounds are littered with dog poop and there were several shady dealings behind the dumpster that we saw on our way in and out of the property at various times. The mattresses are hard as a rock (which my husband and kids actually liked).

It’s not the worst place ever good price but kind of unsafe and sketchy the side doors to hotel are all just unlocked and the AC doesn’t work in the rooms but overall pretty clean there sometimes would be trash bags just sitting in the hallways

Quick and easy check in, no deposit needed. Dog friendly. Different smells but being that it’s dog friendly didn’t bother me much. Rooms were clean A bit stuffy, AC a little noisy. Bed not the comfiest but didn’t expect much being it’s a pretty cheap price. Plenty of parking. Kitchen but no kitchen supplies, which didn’t matter to me, we stayed one night. Would def do another short stay here again.

Manager Max was not helpful when we told him our issues. The rooms smell like mold. Do not recommend.
