My family had a good time during our stay here. Staff were kind and helpful. Love the beach supplies they had for customers to borrow for the beach, which was only about a 10 minute walk.

Fun, retro-ish, apartment -- much more than a room -- in a fantastic location with easy access to La Jolla and drives up the coast! The staff was extremely helpful and friendly, ensuring we had everything we needed. We will definitely be back!

Excellent experience

The property was roomy and clean. The beach is just three blocks away. Restaurants and coffee shops are two blocks away. I would recommend this property.

I had stayed here 4 years ago and now after 4 years the quality had gone down significantly and was very disappointing. The staff were really helpful but the property is real rundown and cleanliness was also a serious issue. Parking was very convenient, free on the streets.

Great place. Two bedrooms and kitchen. Walk to beach and wildlife. No elevator so book 1st floor if that’s an issue.

It was a nice stay. 5 minute walk to La Jolla shores.

Checking in is always so easy and friendly. The location is perfect. It’s walking distance to the beach and many restaurants, there’s no need to drive anywhere once you get there. This place is like a living experience, not like a hotel experience. I enjoy every stay all the time. I have stayed at practically all the other hotels around and I found this to be my go to place all the time from now on.

The room was dated, but pretty clean. The shower head sprayed water out over the shower doors and semi flooded the bathroom floor. The toilet paper rool fell apart. It's a one bedroom apartment, The kitchen has basic pots and pans, flatware, a couple plates, bowls, cups, and glasses, along with a dish drainer, dish soap, and a sponge to do the dishes. There were extra pillows and blankets in a closet, as well as a broom, and a couple TV trays. They have a basic HDTV with cable and Starz, it's not a smart tv so you can't stream, but I always travel with my laptop, and my Son has his iPad, and there WiFi was able to handle gaming and both of us streaming. The person at the check in desk was very informative and showed me where to get anything I needed (extra towels, fans, blankets and pillows, more coffee etc.). It's walking distance to the beach, and they have chairs you can take to the beach, provided you bring them back of course. They have a heated saltwater pool, but no jacuzzi. All in all it was a pleasent stay. I would stay there again,

Bathroom was moldy, maybe due to the area since it’s next ti the beach. And blinds kept falling off. Had a neighbor’s child who kept running around the floor which was extremely loud.

Fun Spot to stay! A short walk to the beach. Restaurants & beach shops close by. really like a small apartment, includes a small pool. We love this place!

Central location. Very close to the beach and cove. Also offers great accessibility to multiple dining options. Personnel, although inaccessible for the most part, were polite and helpful when encountered.

Hotel is old and in need of a major renovation. No A\C, so wasn’t comfortable during an unexpected heat wave in March. Limited parking. Staff at check in were very accommodating. Location is excellent, close to beach and shops/restaurants.

This is the worst hotel I have ever stayed, i booked hotel at 9pm 2/24/2026, but when i arrived hotel at 11:45, lobby was closed, i called hotel number, but no one responded, then i called the number they leave on window, there is a lady from another hotel picked up my call and tell me lobby closed at 5 pm everyday, that is ridiculous that hotel lobby closed at 5 pm and i can still book that hotel at 9pm. Then this is lady tell me to call Expedia customer service to solve this, they can’t do anything to help me and I couldn’t get my room key until the following morning when they reopen, and they even said due to hotel policy that they can’t give me refund. After 4 days, Expedia give me refund, need to say thank you Expedia, but for this hotel service is really really bad, don’t book this hotel

What a lovely little suite apartment. Had a long work day in La Jolla and it was so nice to be able to walk everywhere. I booked it again for my next trip.

This place is a hidden gem. It had everything we needed including chairs for the beach. Staff was friendly and helpful. Room was clean. It is not fancy but it is homey. Close walk to beach and restaurants too.

Fabulous location. Quiet area. Rooms are very basic but spacious. Lots of lamps but few outlets. Kitchen has everything you need. We stayed in January and the rooms were freezing at night. Mattress and pillows weren’t super comfortable. Rooms aren’t cleaned during your stay, but you can self-service towels and some toiletries.

My mother and I stayed here for one night, and we were very disappointed. Comfortable and cozy place and perfectly located in La Jolla. It’s a fully functional 1 bedroom suite and very spacious and comfortable. Highly recommended.

Loved staying here! Really enjoyed the spacious room with a living and kitchen area as well as the salt water pool. Very short walk to the La Jolla beach and nearby shops and dining. The bed wasn’t super comfortable but was okay for a short stay.

We arrived early and the staff could not have been nicer about getting our room ready asap for us. So kind and gracious! They gave us a huge 2-bedroom apartment with brand new carpeting and freshly washed comforters. Such nice people. Location walkable to restaurant strip, bars and beach. Overall very quiet and safe residential neighborhood. Wonderful stay!

The room was beautiful and well kept. We were offered beach towels the next day and they even had some beach supplies we could borrow! The pool was clean and heated to the perfect temperature. The hotel was quiet and serene after 8 which made for perfect rest and relaxation. We look forward to staying here again!

The place could use a few updates as the hide a bed was very uncomfortable and the unit could use some curtains as the blinds do not block out the light. Overall we have stayed here in the past and would stay here again.

The place was clean but when we arrived it was fully closed up with no AC and it was 85 degrees. It was only a high of 64 degrees that day, so any attempt by the staff to open it up during the day would have reduced the temperature to a normal range. We opened up all the windows and doors while awake which decreased temperature a bit but we weren’t comfortable in the unsecured motel area leaving the windows open while we slept.

The staff consistently exudes warmth and friendliness, making every visit truly special. Each room is a charming sanctuary, fully equipped with everything you need, including plates, cups, dishes, a spacious fridge and freezer, a gas stove, an oven, a microwave, and so much more. After five wonderful stays over the past seven years, we can confidently say that each experience has been nothing short of exceptional.

The location is great, walkable to lots of little restaurants. Property is what appears to be single apartments turned hotel. It’s a little dated but gets the job done. Full kitchen is nice. No TV in the bedroom. No elevator but the stairs are manageable.

The hotel is in a nice location with walking distance to the beach and restaurants. The reason that I have an overall 2 stars is that the living room uses gas for heat and we can smell gas in the morning. I had to turn on the vent, opened the windows and door to clear out the smell. I don’t know if other rooms have the same problem but I will not come back.

The place is quite quaint, but the blinds are terrible. You don't have full privacy, because the blinds show the outside from each sides of the windows and people can see in. It smells like my grandma's house, vintage kinda smell. It was clean tho but very dated.

Staff are very friendly and accommodating. Gave us few tips about the area. We really feel welcomed. I would have given them a five star if not for the shower valve. It was so hard to even switch from shower to faucet. Also, had a hard time figuring out how to set the temperature of the water in the shower. Other than that, we loved the place.

6 minute walk to the ocean. Magnificent sunsets. Very courteous and helpful staff! The appartement is a bit outdated, but functional and clean!

The room was comfortable. Great little apartment with sofa, chair, small kitchen, table and back bedroom. The tub was a little slippery and the drain would back up so we were standing in water while showering. Overall though, great place to stay and walkable to the beach, dining, and shops.

We let ourselves into our room, entered all the way past the living area and kitchen to the bedroom before realizing it was occupied -- with personal items on the bed, thankfully whoever's room it was was away! Back to the phone we were directed to another locked box with a code to find a master key to let ourselves into the room next door. It had a broken blind, low quality - hard and uncomfortable pillows, crappy bed with questionable bedding. A handicap room -- the shower was wheelchair accessible, but the shower curtain didn't reach the floor so water got all over the bathroom -- not safe for anyone. And worse, there was a bunch of hair left behind from someone else in the shower! We were uncomfortable, and felt unsafe all night. In hindsight should have left and found something else. Excellent place. Second time stay. All is great but it doesn't have a USB charger outlet. It really should get this upgrade. Last time i brought my own, this time i didn't. So i turned off the phone to save battery !

I was impressed on how great and quiet the location was. Close to very good restaurants and the beach. Parking in the street was easy. Staff was super friendly and kind. The kitchen had everything that you need but we did not even used it as we stayed only one night as we will drive north. We will definitely come back again and stay at the same place if we are ever in San Diego again.

This is an apartment complex with some units used as hotel rooms. The complex is cute and quiet and in a great area where you can walk to La Jolla Shores and restaurants. I only stayed for one night; it would be perfect for a longer stay since you have a full kitchen. There is no A/C and the weekend I stayed it was very very hot so the living room area never got cool but fan in bedroom window did manage. Tiny complaint is that window shades did not close all the way to room was not dark. Very comfortable and I will definitely come back if I travel to this area.

Wonderful location just a 5 minute walk from the beach and restaurants. The rooms are a bit dated, but very spacious, clean, and comfortable. We would definitely stay again!

Wonderful boutique hotel right in the heart of La Jolla Shores. Easy walk to the beach and restaurants, and you kind of feel like a local staying here!

I used to visit this property when I was in my 20s and my relatives would come to town from LA for a week. It is an older facility, but they have maintained it well. The rooms might be a bit dated, but they are immaculate and very spacious (kitchen, dining, living, bedroom and bathroom). The kitchen was stocked with coffee maker, toaster, glassware, plates, etc. The property has limited parking which must be reserved in advance, but we didn't have a problem finding a place right in front on the street. This would be an ideal place for a family to stay as it is within easy walking distance to restaurants and the beach. I read reviews how there wasn't any air conditioning. There was a window air conditioner in our room, ceiling fans and oscilating fans so we were never uncomfortable. I would recommend this property.

Loved this cute apartment-like room and the entire property. Staff was great. Location was perfect. We had only one issue that bothered us… no air conditioning. It wasn’t unbearable, but it definitely wasn’t the best sleep we ever had.

I have not stayed in a motel for many years and this one is a hidden gem. Everything was so clean and I think it was the most comfortable bed and pillows I ever experienced. Will definitely stay there again! I would rather keep it a secret but sich a good experience I had to share...

Very clean. Can easily hear conversations in other rooms. One light was non-functioning but other than that the aging facilities were in ok-to-good shape. Good location - walkable to downtown La Jolla if you don’t mind walking some hills. Overall would consider staying again for the value versus other properties in the area.

Debbie, the manager, is very helpful. I was able to check in early. The location is wonderful! Very close to the beach, dining, etc. The rooms are fully set up with microwave, stove, refrigerator, toaster, even dishes. I did not have to dine out for every meal.

A little stuffy initially but opened the windows and it was great. Nice walk on the beach nearby

What a pleasant surprise to find this cute little suite tucked in a beautiful SOCAL neighborhood! It was sparkling clean, quiet and spacious. Picture a quaint and roomy one bedroom apartment with plenty of light with 3 sliding glass doors to the street or pool area. We enjoyed our stay.

This is a wonderful place to stay. Just as important, Debbie - who has been manager for years - is just terrific. She is kind, accommodating, accessible and an overall good person! Thanks so much for being there for me!

Great location. Within walking distance of the beach, shopping, food. Nice neighborhood. No concern walking after dark. Unit 10 was just the right size. Well furnished. I would love to stay there again.

The staff was fantastic and very accommodating. Only there for one night and there wasn’t a coffee filter for my machine in the morning… but I left an important backpack in the closet when I left and the staff retrieved it for me and protected it in a separate room for when I came to pick it up after hours. The best part was they let me rest in that room until I decided to venture the two hour car ride back home. Can’t tell you how fortunate that made me feel! For that alone I give them 5 stars! Oh and the rooms were very clean and comfy too!

The furnishings are a bit dated but other than a lumpy crunch everything was amazing! Loved the stay and I will be back!

Excellent location and great facility. We enjoyed our visit very much. 2 blocks from LaJolla shores. Walkable to all sorts of shopping and restaurants.

The property was neat and clean but very outdated. The outside was very cute with all the flowers. It had beach essentials. Pool was very clean. The carpets in our unit REALLY needed to be shampooed and cleaned and Some air freshening. It had an old smell to it. Otherwise we would stay there again, as it is close to our son’s home. One cleaning woman was very helpfully when we were checking in. The woman in charge of the property was very pleasant. Just note there is not someone at the front desk all the time but you can call anytime for anything.

The place is well worth the money.

The staff was friendly and very helpful. The area is quiet and away from downtown La Jolla but close to some nice restaurants that we walked to for breakfast and dinner. The place obviously used to be an apartment building and our room was a one-bedroom with a small but adequate kitchen. I don't know what the other rooms were like, but our carpet really needed to be replaced. Other than that, everything was clean. The pool looked lovely but for us the weather wasn't warm enough to use it. There was an extra charge for parking, although there was parking on the street. We paid the extra as we wanted to know that we had a place to park our vehicle if we came home late. All in all, we enjoyed our time there.

Wow - this place is truly a gem. It has a charming vintage feel, while also being spotlessly clean and well-cared for. The manager’s customer service is 10/10. I made an error with my booking and she went above and beyond to help me solve it. The area is very walkable, with the beach, restaurants, shops, and snorkeling/kayaking tours/rentals all just a few blocks away. We will definitely be back.
