If you like clean floors, clean light switches, clean rooms and a nice smell, then this is not the place for you. Hallways and rooms do not match pictures. Walked in and walked out amd stayed next door. Terribly disappointed.

The best part of my stay was that the mattresses were firmer than most of those in hotels at this level. There is a chance that they are just newer than most or what I've experienced, since they did not have dip in the middle. The worst part of my stay was the lack of cleaning of the carpeted area around the beds, where you just feel the grim and have odd pieces of hair that sticks to your feet. In the end, I'd stay again for price point.

Blinds were terrible, letting in a lot of light from parking lot lights that should have been pointed away from the the windows instead of to it. Only 1 towel for 3 people registered. They did fix that. In short, tired old hotel that needs a wrecking ball.

It was close to a lot of good restaurants. There is no elevator, you have to walk up stairs to go to the 2nd floor. Breakfast was only from 6:30 to 9:30. We paid extra for a room upgrade with better bedding and Snacks and drinks. We didn’t receive either. As I was checking out I waited a bit where there was a sign that said they would return to the desk in 15 minutes. They also offered to give me the complimentary box we paid extra for.. but it only had 1 water, 2 juices, and 3 bags of popcorn. Not the waters, popcorn, trail mix, etc, that was advertised. It’s not worth the price. Also, I was excited that they had a hot tub, but it is in a room by itself. It wasn’t hot at all, it warmed up some after we had got in it with the jets, but I have allergies and a sensitive nose and it was very musky/moldy smelling in there. The place is very outdated. I regretted going with it, even though it was the cheapest option in that area.

The room was clean and comfortable and the hotel has a nice courtyard pool area. On a 3-night stay, our room wasn’t cleaned once (and we were never told there wouldn’t be). There are no safes in the rooms. Also, parking became a huge issue at night because several large trucks/trailers took up dozens of spots. The location is very convenient. I definitely would’ve given a better rating if the few issues above hadn’t arisen.

Our check in at the Red Roof Inn PLUS & Suites Knoxville West was a breeze. The ladies at the front desk were very friendy and efficient. The main reception area of the lobby has been remodeled and is aesthetically pleasing. Our room however was around the side of the hotel towards the back. The hallways and rooms beyond the reception area are fairly outdated. They were clean and we had mostly everything we needed. There was a strong smell of marijuana coming from neighboring rooms however. We were in town for a concert and for the price point and location we were okay with the condition of the hotel for one night, however I would not choose to stay here an extended amount of time. We came down for brekafast around 10:30 which smelled great however it was already all put up and we were disappointed. Overall, it is a good bare bones hotel with a good location for an overnight quick stay as long as you aren't high maintenance or bougie.

Hotel could use a little renovation/updating as the hallways. The rooms seemed fairly updated. The ceiling in our room had recently had the “popcorn ceiling” put up or something because it had bubbled up and fell on the desk in the room. Staff was great with the few interactions I had with them. Breakfast was fresh and tasted good. The ice machine was broke and the soda vending machine was too cold and had froze all the drinks. AC/Heat worked great. Bed and pillows were fairly comfortable. We really liked the patio area (booked as balcony but we were on 1st floor). Overall not too bad for the price.

Room was quiet and location to our venue was adequate. 1. Unexpected additional charge for a "concert deposit". Nowhere was it mentioned a $100 deposit was needed at check in and this ruined many plans for as this had to come out of or spending money for the event. 2. Mattress were soft spring mattress and you could hear and feel the springs under you. 3. Weird smell in the room like a dampness 4. No elevators for disabled and we got put on second floor. 5. 3-5 business days to get deposit back. It only took 5min to withdraw. 6. Layout was awkward and cramped in bathroom with shower being far to low for standard. I'm only 5'9 and I had to duck under shower head. 7. Not at all worth $225 for 1 night and severely falsely advertised and overly rated. This was at best a 3 out of 5 star hotel and probably worth about $80-$100 a night.

The odor of the room hits you in the face as soon as you walk in. We couldnt even really describe it. The room/property is very out dated. The sheets are worn thin. There was a stain on one of the sheets. The exterior door had and area in the glass that must have been hit by something very hard there were spider cracks in it. The room appeared to have been swept, mopped, and vacuumed but stains remained on carpet area. Dust covered the tattered lamp shade. The remote had electrical tape covering the battery. The remote did not work. The staff was polite. The AC worked well. We did not stay long enough to use any amenities and probably wouldnt have anyway considering the room condition.

Clean room, dirty common areas. The smell of weed was everywhere. Could not get a pen from the front desk, they said didn't have any extra. No extra 25 cent pen! Used the guest laundry- after 6.00 of drying , the clothes were still soaked. Head of housekeeping put them in the hotel dryer. Night desk attendant had family) friends up there enjoying the guest breakfast at 9 pm. Won't stay again.

It says no smoking but the whole hallway smelt like pot smoke and cigarettes. It’s loud, dirty, could feel dirt in the sheets and pillow cases had stains on them. It’s a place to rest your head after a long day of travel and that’s about it. If we didn’t get there until midnight I probably would have booked elsewhere.

Water pressure was great in the shower, bathroom sink hot water only trickled, cold water was fine. Breakfast left something to be desired. No waffle mix available, has to settle with just eggs and sausage and no salt or pepper available. It would've been a perfect breakfast for anyone that only eats cereal, yogurt, fruit and bagels. Overall, it was ok but not great. Smelled like cigarette smoke and weed in the hallways. It was clean though, that's pretty much what matters most to me. I've had worse experiences for sure.

This was one of the dirtiest hotel rooms I have ever been given. The bathtub had what appeared to be human waste and hair in it, the toilet seat had urine on it, bugs were inside the light fixture, and the room clearly had not been cleaned. We also paid for a Premium Room upgrade that advertised upgraded bedding and snacks which were not provided. The stairwell smelled strongly of marijuana and the hot tub we specifically booked for closes at 9pm and appeared poorly maintained. Completely unacceptable. Photos of these conditions have been documented.

The place wreaked of marijuana!! I told them that I could smell it when I walked in and they went into great detail about their no smoking policy! Or lack there of. The room had updated flooring and sink, but the walls and ceiling were needing repair. The hotel location is good, and breakfast was great! The bed seemed to be newer and was very comfortable. The girl at the desk told me she couldn't print me a receipt, she just didn't want to or know how. I have been using hotels.com for years and I always get a receipt at the desk. This was good enough for a overnight travel stop. But I wouldn't recommend it due to the overwhelming pot smoke odor in the stairwells and lobby.

The room was just ok. It looked like they attempted to paint the rooms at some time and it just started peeling. You could also tell that whoever repainted the rooms didn't really care as there was paint on the baseboards and things. The bathroom amenities were ok, even though the soap dispenser kept falling off the wall. Also the tub had terrible, permanent stains in it. The water pressure was decent, but nothing to really write home about. Had it not been for the bed bugs and roaches, i probably would have given it 3 stars. Unfortunately upon me returning home, noticed that my son and myself both had multiple bites on our skin. Luckily the wife and daughter hasn't had anything as of yet. I would definitely use caution if you choose to stay here.

I had selected to “pay at the property” We called because we were not going to arrive at normal checkin time & asked if we should go ahead & pay. We were told no. No worries. THEN we arrive & our room had been “cancelled” we did not cancel it. An employee did to give it to another party. Hotel is very run down & not accurate with the photos. Will never stay here again

The tv in the room was broken, along with all of the usb outlets. Management said they would come help but never did. The hot tub wasn’t heated, there was no plug for the bathtub, the hotel was dirty and had a lot of trash on the floors. The fire alarm went off at 2am and a fight broke out outside our door at 6am. It was entertaining to watch though. The breakfast was stale and terrible. Absolutely would not recommend.

My daughter was placed in a room with no working telephone. Huge safety issue. The front desk man who works in the evenings refused to deliver her a new phone and instead insisted she walk down to the front desk and get a whole room change. The front desk man hung up on me, yelled at me, told my daughter I was rude for asking for a basic and simple amenity. Oh, and my daughter didn't have a cell, laptop, nothing as her apartment burned to the ground in a house fire that same morning of her arrival. Extremely frustrating experience with horrible service in what's supposed to be a service industry. A room was paid for; people should be safe.

When we entered our room it was filthy food and dirt on the floor, one of the beds were sunken in the white comforter had what appeared to be pink lipstick smeared on it and the boxspring had disgusting stains on the corner. TV turned on but the remote wouldn’t work so the tv was unusable. Bathroom was surprisingly clean and had plenty of towels but there wasn’t any body soap and the shampoo dispenser barley worked or it was empty. The door we were told to use on the side of the building had a pet crate with food outside it had been there awhile not sure where the animal was or if it was even friendly. We checked in at 2:30am checked out at 8am we had a morning commitment in Chattanooga, I addressed the issues with front desk when we returned the keys I showed her pictures which she said I would need to contact Expedia, when I asked about the open animal crate she said it belonged to someone staying at the hotel for an extended period. It was such a terrible stay I don’t think a 1 is even acceptable but that’s what I will give. Do better Red Roof.

The front desk clerk told me I only I had one room when I booked 2 for my family. He told me that he wouldn’t get his manager because he would say the same. He said that I had to contact you guys. After I sent a message to hotel.com he found it. He said he needed to refresh my system. I was so frustrated and tired and he gave us such a hard time before finding it. He even said that he didn’t need to see the reservation because I didn’t matter It didn’t show up his side!

Rooms were not clean. Rooms were not kept up maintenance wise. Dire need of new mattresses. Advertised as a non-smoking facility, but marijuana smoke coming down the hall and cigarette smoke regularly. It felt like a common theme as the office staff paid little attention to our complaint and suggested it was coming from outside, but we were more than 100 feet from any exterior door. this hotel seemed like it was an extended stay hotel for lower income individuals.

The room itself was in terrible condition. It desperately needed a deep cleaning. The mattress and sheets had visible stains, the towels had hair on them, and the carpet was filthy—our socks were black just from walking across the room. The faucet in the bathroom tub was coming away from the wall, exposing the plumbing, and the drain stopper was broken and lying on the side of the tub. On top of that, there was pet hair and human hair throughout the room, and the sour smell made the stay even worse. This is a very old hotel, and it shows in every way. If you can afford to stay elsewhere, I highly recommend doing so.

I have stayed here before and thought it was a perfectly decent hotel. This time, I did have some minor issues in my room, even though I did have a very comfortable night's sleep while I was there. I don't think the cleaning people checked the fridge, because the previous occupants had left some salads in there. In addition, the fridge must have been set on a very low temperature, because I put my water bottle inside overnight, and it was frozen in the morning. I did not see any way to adjust the temperature, so I didn't use the fridge on my second day. There was an iron that I wanted to use, but the ironing board was missing. I could have called down to the desk, I guess, but I was annoyed and just put down a towel on the desk and ironed my shirt there. The biggest issue was the shower/tub. It is hard to believe that the cleaning people wouldn't have noticed that the tub doesn't drain. I feel like they should have told maintenance about it. I was standing in several inches of water when I took a 5-minute shower. The tub took between 10 and 15 minutes to fully drain after I turned off the shower. The other shower issue was with the shower curtain. The curtain rod was the kind that is rounded and curves out from the tub area. It wasn't level, so the curtain slipped down about a foot on both ends, so water sprayed out of the shower onto the floor. I feel like someone is not doing a good job of checking these rooms between occupants.

This property is an excellent value. The staff were very friendly. Budget friendly accommodations at their best.

This room was okay for the price. The TV didn’t work in my room, which was a bummer. Seemed fairly clean. Glad they’ve taken most of the carpet out of the rooms. The walls are thin so you hear everything walking down the hallways.

I have been staying at this hotel a lot these past few months. Staff are always friendly and helpful. However, last week when I stayed there, my daughter and I developed a few marks on us, and we assumed it was spider bites. However, this past week we developed TONS of bite marks on us, and we went to the doctor, who said it was bed bugs. SO....I will no longer be staying here.

Didn’t like the fact that we didn’t have clean towels and there was only two towels available the entire two days we was there. And the sheets on the bed had stains on them. Other than that everything was ok.

This is our third or fourth time staying here. Its decent for the price. A little dated but service is great. Room was not as clean this time as the other times we've stayed here. The shower shampoo and body wash bottles were empty. Breakfast is as expected, scrambled eggs, sausage and biscuits and gravy. Four stars because of the small issues with room. Nothing that would make me stop staying here. PS. We like to stay at the Drury inn next door but there price was higher than usual this weekend.

Overall the room was nice and clean and the balcony was perfect to enjoy a nice quiet evening! Walls are paper thin so you can hear your neighbors chat and shower. Our biggest complaint was that everyday our hotel room key card would stop working and we had to go to the front desk and get it fixed. It’s a known issue that they didn’t bother to warn us about.
