Reviews
The hotel is praised for its friendly and helpful staff, excellent location, and good breakfast options. However, many guests have complained about the street noise, with some rooms being particularly affected despite the provision of earplugs and white noise machines. There are also a few complaints about the parking situation and some issues with billing.
- Friendly and helpful staff

Everything about the stay was good except that housekeeping never came to clean out the room or give us clean towels. Chris from the front seat was helpful and he made notes on it and also took the trash out for us and gave us clean towel.
- 4/5
Room was clean and breakfast was hot.
- 4/5
Upon check-in we were greeted with great customer service. The room itself could use some updates but the cleanliness surpassed the dingy room and we had a great stay.
- 5/5
The front desk clerk was wonderful! So helpful! Sorry I cannot recall his name.

Very clean rooms and common area. Staff was incredibly helpful and friendly!

The manager and staff were ultra helpful to us. One of two examples: We left our luggage early at the front desk and (unknown to us) accidentally left behind a cell phone in the checked bags. We thought shortly afterwards that we lost the cell phone entirely. The staff offered, without being asked, to search the lobby and front desk area to find it. They did so cheerfully! We found our cell in the checked luggage soon after, and still they remained cheerful and understanding of our mistake. That's just one of the two ways they went above and beyond. Great staff! Great hotel. Convenient location.
- 5/5
Parking was so easy. The staff greeted us with warmth. Chris was so kind when we checked in. He talked to my daughter about UT since we were there visiting. He gave us some great recommendations for dinner and just went above and beyond for us. Our breakfast the next morning was delicious and Ebony at the front desk was so kind and gracious to us. The staff here is definitely the best I have ever come across.
- 4/5
Location was great. Front desk staff very friendly. Breakfast was good and well maintained. The noise from street and from pets staying at the hotel was not ideal. They give you ear plugs which gives you an idea of the ongoing issue. Parking charge is high for the location as well.

All services were as expected

Great location, very clean , nice staff
- 5/5
Super nice staff. Clean and felt safe for my daughter and I to travel and stay alone. Very comfortable and good location within walking distance of the theater. It was noisy but they provide a noise machine and it is downtown so that is to be expected.

Clean room with a city view. Great down town location to numerous shops & restaurants.Breakfast was good, with more options than some hotels. Loved the ear plugs on the night stand. Traffic wasn’t that loud. Had mouth wash in room with note to let hotel know if you needed anything. I would definitely stay there again. Friendly staff. Parking was $30 a night, I opted to park in locust public garage and paid $6 total free from 6a-6p short 0.3 mile walk.
- 5/5
Property was very clean and staff was extremely friendly and had great personalities.

Breakfast was great lots of choices. Walking distance to UTK. Parking was extra on site. Felt very safe. Walked downtown very convenient. However I found a pubic hair on the wall of shower! Also found hair ties in the floor. The heating/cooling unit on wall had a smell when turned on and it was filthy inside. We didn’t use it for this reason. We were exhausted from traveling all day so I let it slide. Would definitely ask for a different room next time.

breakfast selection was poor, other than that it was good
- 2/5
You can't make this stuff up.. The rooms facing the parking lot would have been much better. However we came in later, expecting a quiet room.
- 4/5
The parking was fine, but we thought a $30 per night charge to use it was excessive on top of the charges we already paid for the hotel. Knoxville is strictly a money making town for not just residents, but tourists. You had to pay just about everywhere for parking and handicapped people should not have to pay to park. I needed parking to be convenient for me as I have asthma and balance issues walking. As to the staff, they were the most professional kind folks I have encountered in a hotel in a long time. Check in was seamless and the gal that attended to us Monique was a true gem. The breakfast was excellent. The room was fine,
- 3/5
Staff is excellent! Parking is ample, room and property very clean. However I wasn’t expecting to need to wear earplugs (provided by hotel) in an attempt to drown out all the traffic noise. Also the mattress was well past due being replaced.
- 4/5
Clean room, friendly staff, convenient location and paid parking on the premises. We would stay there again
- 5/5
The staff was so helpful, greeting us each time we passed and quick to answer any questions that came up. The team working the morning breakfast did a great job to keep it freshly stocked and grab anything my family needed. Parking was conveniently on site. Location was walkable to the University campus, and the area around the hotel was great for dining.
- 5/5
We had a nice overnight stay recently while attending a concert in Knoxville. Upon arrival, we were greeted by very friendly and efficient check in staff and were given some bottled water and fresh cookies. Our room was surprisingly spacious and very clean. This hotel was our choice because it is an easy walk to downtown and has onsite parking. At $30/night, parking seems a bit spendy after paying $200 for the room but it was convenient. Breakfast was superior with lots of choice and even some fresh fruit! Would definitely stay again.
- 5/5
Staff was very pleasant and extremely helpful. Left something in the room and they called to let me know and see how it can be returned,
- 5/5
Staff was very friendly and helpful in suggesting local resturants. Everything's was very clean.
- 3/5
Our TV didn’t work well
- 5/5
Very convenient to downtown concert venues able to walk from hotel instead of paying for parking
- 3/5
Other than that, everything was great.
- 5/5
Clean room and good breafast
- 5/5
The property was located near the university and the staff was very nice
- 5/5
Staff was welcoming and friendly. Breakfast was plentiful and suited everyone’s wants/needs. Only downfall is Parking was 30$/night which I was surprised by, yet street parking is not really an option, so reluctantly I paid the fee.
- 5/5
Ron was clean and comfortable. Complete breakfast was very good.
- 4/5
Friendly staff, clean room and common areas. Breakfast was ok. The room was loud at night due to downtown noise, but the hotel provided earplugs and sound machine which helped some.
- 1/5
Very hateful front desk lady.
- 5/5
The staff was very nice, pleasant and helpful.
- 4/5
very nice night shift desk employee, breakfast really good, and room clean
- 4/5
Large room. Comfortable beds. Clean. Large bathroom. Staff was friendly & helpful. It is convenient but on a main road & can hear traffic. This isn’t a surprise & they have earplugs in the room.
- 4/5
The only downside was the hotel fronts Henley Street, which is a main artiery through downtown. If you can get a room that faces the parking garage on the east, I'm sure it would be fine. But with the elevators, vending, and housecleaning facilities, more rooms face Henley St., and it can be very loud. Being downtown when visiting our son at the University was nice, but I would want to make sure I had a room on the wast side of the hotel if I stayed here again.
- 5/5
Great place to stay, clean, quiet
- 5/5
Pool closed. Did not use laundry. Suite was excellent. Very clean. Only negative was a staff member wasn’t familiar with UT campus at all which borders the hotel. Might be helpful to at least have a map of the campus as most of the people staying there were attending campus activities.
- 2/5
This was the noisiest hotel I ever stayed in We were on a very busy side of the street. Traffic all night long. I should have known we were in trouble when I found two sets of earplugs at our bedside Breakfast was mediocre at best.
- 4/5
Staff was great.
- 5/5
Rooms were very clean. Everyone was so nice and friendly. Breakfast bar was delicious
- 5/5
The staff made the difference! They were tremendous!!
- 3/5
The staff was great. The room was really nice. Breakfast was good. The hotel overall was super clean. In the pictures there is a pool and when we got there we were told that the pool has been shut down for almost a year. My girls were really disappointed. Read the fine print, because I also wasn't aware about $25 a night parking and a $50 safety deposit. Overall a good stay. But I did feel mislead over the pool. Had I known we probably would have booked another hotel because thats one of the things I always try to make sure the hotel has for my girls.
- 5/5
Room was comfortable and clean. Staff is very friendly. Breakfast is great. Highly recommend.
- 4/5

- 5/5
Clean rooms and friendly staff!
- 5/5
Great Staff!
- 5/5
Great experience
- 5/5
"Our stay was fantastic! The location is unbeatable—right across from the Convention Center and a short walk to Market Square. The room was spotless and the hydromassage shower was a great touch after a long day of walking. We also loved the hot breakfast every morning. Highly recommend for anyone visiting downtown Knoxville!"
- 5/5
The only negative was that the thermostat would not allow us to set it lower than 68 degrees. We could set it higher but not lower. It was too hot while we tried to sleep. We needed to be able to lower the temperature to be more comfortable. We did appreciate the white noise machine just wish it was a real fan since we were hot.
- 3/5
Was OK, staff wasn’t super friendly, breakfast was abysmal, but the room was clean and the location was safe

- 5/5
Front desk staff was fantastic
- 5/5
Good location and convenient
- 5/5
Hospitality was incredible loved the cookies and hot chocolate!!!
- 4/5
This was a pretty decent place to stay - it wasn't amazing, but it wasn't awful either (if that makes sense?). Our room was clean, but it didn't feel spotless. I'm all for reusing and reducing waste, but we were given a nearly empty toilet paper roll to begin with. The bathroom floors were sticky around the toilet, and the bed linens smelt like they had been left in the washer too long (mildewy?). Our room was right on the street, so the traffic noise was VERY loud at night - but they provide a sound machine and earplugs if you need them. Overall, it was on ok/good stay. The staff is SUPER friendly and helpful, and the location was great for the event we were attending.
- 5/5
Room was very clean. Staff are SUPER friendly. Great location to Thompson-Boling Arena, and Neyland stadium. $25 for parking seems a little much, but that may be par for the course near downtown, as it's been some time since I've stayed in Knoxville. Would definitely stay here again.
- 5/5
Very friendly staff, clean rooms and lobby, very safe!
- 5/5
Parking was right outside the entrance to the hotel and seemed very save.
- 5/5
The location is convenient. The property is well maintained and the staff were excellent. Very friendly!
- 3/5
All was good except the beds were very hard and made hard wood noises any time there was movement
- 5/5
Room was great, staff was friendly, overall a fantastic hotel
- 5/5
Staff and room were great!!! Need to update beds in room. Breakfast was amazing!
- 2/5
Paid the higher price because they advertised an indoor pool that was heated!! Upon arrival the pool was not available and I had to pay for parking!! I could have stayed closer to the ball field and paid a more reasonable price and not had to pay for parking on top of everything else. People pick and stay hotels for the amenities they offer so there should be some sort of compensation when they can’t offer the full amenities offered .
- 4/5
Great that parking was free and safe. Myles at the front desk was super friendly and helpful! The lady at breakfast was so sweet and cheerful.
- 5/5
Good location for event we were going to and restaurants
- 5/5
Staff was great very accommodating
- 3/5
Perfect for a UT game or visit to campus. Very close. We were there visiting family. Parking is difficult. Breakfast is ok but was understaffed and out of items (on a weekend). Small lobby. Room was ok. Fitted sheet kept coming off bed. Bring your own pillow.
- 2/5
The street noise was so loud we couldn’t sleep at all and the heat/air unit was very loud as well!
- 5/5
We stayed here to go to an event at the convention center. Very clean and nice hotel option. Friendly staff. Will be staying here again!
- 3/5
disappointed the pool was closed.
- 5/5
Best hotel bfast of a 3 week trip
- 1/5
Noise was a problem
- 5/5
Loved it super kind staff and so clean
- 5/5
Clean room. The breakfast was fine. The staff was very friendly and helpful. My smoke alarm started beeping, and someone came up to replace the battery shortly after the front desk was notified.
- 5/5
All was great. Nice quite hotel and great location and amenities
- 5/5
Excellent hotel. Room was huge, updated and clean. Staff was accommodating and kind. Breakfast was great with many options. Room was on busy street with lots of traffic noise. Use the earplugs that are given to you.
- 5/5
Loved the free snacks available in the lobby.
- 5/5
Great location but loud at night. They know. They give you earplugs.
- 4/5
Late check out couldve have been accommodating
- 5/5
Room was clean and comfortable. If you’re a light sleeper, make sure to ask for a room at the back of the property off the main road as it’s extremely noisy all night and early morning. Good breakfast options.
- 5/5
The staff was amazing! We were there during a family emergency. They were extremely helpful during a difficult time
- 4/5
The room was very clean and comfortable upon arrival and amenities all in place.
- 5/5
Perfect staff.
- 5/5
Staff is second to none. Absolutely love staying here.
- 5/5
Staff was very nice, place is nice and clean and in a good location 👍
- 5/5
Very good
- 3/5
My stay was great EXCEPT for the noise. When I arrived in my room, I saw two pair of ear plugs that are left for guests. After coming back from dinner and winding down for the evening, I realized why they offer ear plugs. I was on the 5th floor and the traffic noise was unbearable, loud cars and motorcycles at the traffic light below...I felt sorry for the ones on lower floors. For this reason, I will not be choosing this location again.
- 3/5
There were ants all over the room
- 4/5
Clean room, friendly staff, and the breakfast was very good. In our room (213), the bed seemed old and made a noise every time someone turned over. There was a lot of noise from outside that could be heard. Nice that the hotel provided ear plugs.
- 5/5
Great location, easy walk to everything. Beautiful room and wonderful breakfast.
- 5/5
Great breakfast, great parking
- 5/5
.
- 3/5
The pros: easy to get to, convenient parking, walkable, safe. Cleanliness was above average, especially in the common areas. Free breakfast was good and had adequate variety. There is a pool - it's very small but it seemed clean. There is also free laundry and an exercise room (but we didn't use either). The room also had nice shampoo, conditioner, body wash and lotion in dispensers. There was also a small fridge and microwave in the room. Myles at the front desk gave exceptional service - very friendly and helpful. The cons: the room was loud, there was no exhaust fan in the bathroom so the humidity was severe. The shower door did not completely cover the shower so there was water all over the floor after showering, no matter what we did to try and prevent it. The bed and pillows were absolutely horrible. We checked out a day early because we could not sleep and woke up with neck and back pain. The TV selection was lacking (trying to watch TV when we couldn't sleep didn't go well) and it didn't allow casting from mobile devices. While there was a small pool, there was no hot tub. If we visit Knoxville in the future, we would not stay here again because of the bed/pillows and bathroom.
- 5/5
Great
- 4/5
I would have rated the stay higher; however, parking in the garage was a nightmare. The parking spaces are very cramped and small. Maneuvering in a full size pick up isn’t easy. And, if there is no parking on the ground floor of the parking garage, DO NOT try to go the above level. We had to go in at an angle going up and the roof of the truck got hung up and scraped coming down. The clearance is 7 feet, but not for a full size 4 door truck
- 5/5
Very clean, roomy, easy self parking for $25 (covered and noncovered), very friendly and helpful staff.
- 3/5
We were in town moving our daughter into UTK. Several things were broken or damaged inside the room. We were charged an additional fee for parking once we got to the hotel to check. The parking garage is extremely tight and hard to navigate for cross over vehicles and larger.
- 4/5
Staff was great!!
- 4/5
Shower pressure and bathroom excellent! The front desk guy Nathaniel went out of his way to help us with multiple things over the three days. Breakfast staff and lobby cleaning staff were super friendly and attentive to the food bar coffee etc.
- 5/5
I was excellent. The staff definitely made it very pleasant. I will be returning later.
- 5/5
Very clean, you can do your own laundry for free if you bring some detergent, walkable!
- 5/5
No issues , nice amenities and very clean
- 5/5
Nice and clean. People at the front desk were very sweet and helpful answering all of our questions. Will definitely stay again.
- 5/5
Nathaniel was especially friendly and the housekeeper who worked on the 5th floor on 7/4 gave up her seat that night so we could watch fireworks
- 5/5
It was great service.
- 2/5
The room was super noisy, so much so they give earplugs. The pool waa not working and waa the only reason we picked that property.
- 5/5
Great location to see UT, world’s fair park and downtown. Monique was very help-full and a joy to talk to. All the staff were friendly. Nice room and great breakfast. Parking and access to I-40 could not be better.
- 5/5
Keep up the great job!! Thanks
- 4/5
Friendly and helpful staff. Using digital key is great.
- 5/5
the ladies at the front desk were very helpful, I loved how clean everything was.
- 5/5
Great people
- 5/5
Guest services was amazing check in was very fast and easy no hassle at all
- 5/5
Hallie was really friendly
- 4/5
Our visit was short, but we were grateful for the incredibly attentive front desk staff (Tammy and Hallie) who helped us and found a lost person item for us! They were amazing!
- 5/5
Very comfortable and the staff was very friendly. Only negative was the $25/day parking fee.
- 5/5
Great customer service
- 5/5
Nice, friendly and very helpful. Only wish the pool was bigger.
- 4/5
Breakfast typical, nothing special. Be sure to ask for room color you will not receive it each day.
- 3/5
The service at the hotel was great—staff were friendly and professional throughout my stay. However, considering the nightly rate and strict cancellation policy, I expected the rooms and amenities to be more updated. While everything was clean and functional, the overall look and feel could benefit from some renovations to better match the price point.
- 5/5
Hotel, staff, all amazing. If you get a room next to facing Main Street, you’re gonna want to crank the white noise machine and use the ear plugs they give you.
- 5/5
It was great stay. No problems. Convent location. Wonderful staff. Breakfast was good. Everything was clean. Love the auto blackout shade. Other than low water pressure in the shower, it was great.
- 5/5
Staff is amazing. So helpful and courteous.
- 4/5
Friendly staff and comfortable rooms. Noise outside made it difficult to sleep
- 5/5
Great staff, clean. Would probably stay there afain
- 4/5
Awesome experience except for the fact that only one of four elevators was working and we had a room on the 7th floor.
- 5/5
Very nice quality hotel. Great location. Pet friendly which was a big plus. Would definitely stay there again.
- 5/5
Quick stay, nice hotel.
- 2/5
The roadway noise is absolutely insane on Henley Street.
- 4/5
Didn’t like that they charged for parking
- 5/5
Mason offered top notch customer service during checkin. She even changed our room so that we had a view of the beautiful church and part of the campus of UT instead of the parking garage.
- 5/5
Great staff!
- 4/5
Hotel was very nice and the staff was excellent. One draw back is the noise of the neighborhood, was very noisy until well after 2 am. The hotel had stocked the room with ear plugs which tells me it wasn't a one off issue.
- 5/5
Stay was great. Beds were nice and very clean. Small indoor pool but enough for our 1 kid. Will stay again.
- 3/5
Charged for parking when Expedia said it was included.
- 5/5
Dee at the front desk is absolutely amazing. She is a phenomenal ambassador for the property as well as UT!! Our check in was so fun. Room was spacious and clean and well appointed
- 5/5
Experience historic downtown Knoxville and also access the University of Tennessee campus.
- 5/5
Great accommodations close to everything downtown. Staff was very helpful and friendly. Room was very, very clean. Enjoyed my stay.
- 5/5
El lugar es muy bonito y muy limpio, el personal es excelente
- 5/5
Staff great, rooms and overall property nice and very clean, no complaints at all, would definitely stay again when in the area
- 4/5
It is a downtown hotel so expect road noise all night. Try to get a room on the back of the property. Easy walking distance to Neyland stadium. Staff is helpful. Good breakfast.
- 5/5
Great stay. We chose this place for its proximity to the Thompson-Boling Arena. It was really close and we were able to walk to and from the Arena without any safety concerns. Staff was friendly and personable.
- 5/5
Nice to have the pool, although we may not use it. Bathroom is spacious and shower was wonderful. Also enjoyed the generous pillows on each bed.
- 3/5
Noisy, breakfast was cold and not good
- 3/5
Everything great except wasn’t expecting to be required to pay $25 per day to park AT THE HOTEL
- 5/5
A great place to stay for all events at UT. Campus and downtown are very walkable. The free breakfast is great. The staff is extremely friendly and very helpful. The only downside is the street noise. It is very loud especially during high traffic times. There is a white noise machine in the room that helps a bit.
- 5/5
Clean, spacious suite and very good guest services. Would recommend salting or treating garage floor ramp when it snows or is icy.
- 5/5
It was easy to find, parking was easy, but costly. Our ADA room was nice and useful.
- 5/5
We had an excellent stay…if you choose rooms in the front of the building, you’ll have to be able to sleep through the traffic noise from Henley and Cumberland. There is a noise machine in the room which was thoughtful. We were within walking distance of Market Square so had ample choices in restaurants and shops.
- 5/5
However; left over pizza box found in micro fridge and no bedding for sofabed.
- 4/5
This property is a short walk to the University of Tennessee and Market Square. The staff is friendly and helpful. Our room was clean other than the bathroom floor. Ask for a room NOT facing Hensley Street as it creates a LOT of noise. The parking garage cost $25.00 per night and is a tight squeeze with limited spaces (overflow is a gravel lot).
- 4/5
Gal at front desk was exceptionally friendly & helpful at check in. Breakfast was great. Fire alarm at 5 AM was upsetting out of a sound sleep. The outside noise heard all night from sixth floor was shocking. $25 additional to park seems excessive. One nights' stay cost us $286- ouch.
- 4/5
Room was nice and staff was very accommodating. Only issue was with traffic noise on street outside hotel. Our room didnt have very good sound proofing and weekend traffic kept us up throughout night.
- 5/5
Great hotel in the heart of downtown Knoxville. Really nice, spacious room. Good breakfast. Friendly staff. It was perfect for what we were looking for
- 5/5
Shira, I think that's her name, who greeted us at the desk was the sweetest. We got there an hour early and got to check in early with no charge or problems. The whole staff was very nice. The room was nice and clean. The breakfast was also very good hot food. Will definitely stay again
- 5/5
Came for football weekend, parking at hotel, walked to university, meals, shopping. Wonderful weekend. Will book for future trips!
- 5/5
Friendly staff
- 4/5
A/C too loud
- 5/5
Great location. Staff incredibly friendly & welcoming! Breakfast was very good.
- 4/5
Clean, quiet room. Daily breakfast could be better; first morning had some unidentifiable item next to the eggs which I think were sausage crumbles and the cinnamon rolls were hard on the bottom. Kind of tired of the parking fee; with the cost of the room I feel that should be included.
- 5/5
The best beds!
- 4/5
The noise from the street traffic could be heard all night long
- 2/5
They told me when checking out that rooms with even numbers are less noisy but they gave us and odd number.
- 5/5
Very helpful staff.
- 3/5
The property and staff were great. If you plan on staying here you should request a room overlooking the parking garage. The rooms facing the street are so noisy that you are given ear plugs and a sound machine in each room. The street traffic is so loud that it is difficult to sleep.
- 5/5
The front desk employee/ supervisor Shiria? Was absolutely wonderful, polite and helpful. We really enjoyed our stay. Everyone there was kind and helpful. Breakfast was delicious and had lots of options. Never without anything. Area was kept very clean. It was the best night of sleep we have had in a while.
- 5/5
Good, friendly customer service. Room was very clean and comfortable bed.
- 5/5
Clean and friendly staff. Great breakfast!
- 5/5
Woman at front desk was amazing!
- 5/5
Friendly, helpful staff and hotel had made it nice with the hot cocoa bar, water with fruit and cookies, welcome and travel bags on arrival and departure. Plenty of breakfast options to choose from.
- 2/5
The rooms were adequate and clean, paying to park ($25) ridiculous. Area is busy so lights and people coming to the rooms can be heard.
- 5/5
Comfortable room, close to the Knoxville Civic Auditorium, great service. Breakfast is as good too!
- 4/5
Room faced very busy street so it was very noisy. Most disturbing incident however was observed during breakfast. One of the servers, a woman, reached into the eggs being served and broke up large clumps with her bare fingers. Really disgusting and resulted in us eating only items that were prepackaged.
- 4/5
This hotel was fine. They do offer breakfast in the morning which is great, but beyond that it’s just an affordable, clean place for a night or two.
- 5/5
When I came into the property Aaron was able to get me checked in quickly and answer some of my questions. His recommendation to take an Uber was spot on!

The front desk as amazing as usual. However, I was very disappointed in the Continental breakfast. Woke up nice and early to get the hot breakfast I thought would be all there being the warmer containers were all set up. Disappointed there was no eggs and bacon type of bfast ever brought out.

Great customer service at the front desk. What I didn't like is the traffic, church bells and loud noises well into the night. Didn't sleep well.

The hotel was really nice and the staff were great! Breakfast was good. I really appreciated having laundry facilities, although there was only one washer and one dryer, so I had to wait for someone else's clothes to finish drying before I could dry mine.
