The Sanctuary at Kiawah Island Golf Resort

Hotel peaked years ago. Staff is very arrogant - had reserved a king bed months and months ago and they didnt have any . Constant weddings and such loud music from the weddings late into the night. Food overpriced. Not worth the high price tag . Do airbnb or Verbo. This is a pass

Wonderful family vacation spot

This resort is exquisite. It is located directly on the beach but also seems like it is in a jungle or Forest. The property is extremely well maintained and the staff was exceptional. We were given a room that we weren't exactly pleased with and they were able to accommodate our needs and provide us with a different room. We loved being able to walk around the property with our small child. I would come back anytime.

The Sanctuary was one of the best places I have ever stayed at. It was very nice and elegant yet was not stuffy at all. We were all very comfortable on the property. The amenities were good. Lots of kids activities. The beach is quiet and clean. Service was impeccable. It will cost you though! Everything is very pricey

We love everything about this resort. It is the perfect place for a family of 5 such as ours with 3 young children or a short getaway for just us. They know true southern hospitality!

For the type of resort it was very surprising to see so many screaming little kids running in the hallways everywhere. Made it impossible to relax. Need to put rules around that for those parents that allow this behavior.

Beautiful property and the staff are exceptional. One note for anyone traveling without a vehicle to the property, you need to pre-arrange transportation for your departure. We didn't realize this and almost missed our flight out of Charleston.

The valet staff was delightful and very welcoming ! The staff in Jasmin’s porch restaurant was terrible ! They were not attentive ! The ocean room was excellent ! I love the place ! Golfing was great too

While this resort is beautiful, world-class, it is the staff- Kristan and Veronica at the restaurant and Charles (Charlie?) who gave us insights on the art there who truly made our brief stay memorable and exceptional.

They say they have no room to move me--even though I could roll a bowling ball down this place, it's so empty. Bottom line; they just don't want to make people happy.

We were super impressed with our stay! It was one of the most beautiful plaved we have stayed in a while, with superior service, great pools, good (expensive) food and just a great overall atmosphere.

One of the bestt hotels ever. Offseason also gave a terrific value. Our room rate was close to $370. During golf season, would have been $1060.

Treated like royalty! Met Chris first, so he is my favorite! The gentleman that cleaned my room folded my toothpaste...IMPRESSIVE. Room was spotless. Didn't expect an ocean view...LOVED IT. Everyone greated me. Felt very welcomed. Everyone gave 5-star service. Nothing to change.

The food and service was excellent. The facility was beautiful as was the beach. The pools were ok. Drinks were 20 dollars each. Plan to spend some money.

No grab rails in ‘marble’ bathroom/shower seems dangerous, a fall risk. The pull on the ceiling fan was inaccessible without standing on a chair, again a fall risk.

The Sanctuary is a beautiful resort! The hotel rooms were spacious, comfortable and immaculate! The lobby bar was inviting with good service and the pianist was absolutely fantastic!! Unfortunately, the weather was terrible but we were able to find many things to keep us busy! We look forward to returning again when we can enjoy more of the outdoor activities!!

It was an enjoyable trip. All staff members were professional, affable, addressed any needs appropriately, and made you feel at home. Also the location and the facilities are awesome.

Exquisite property! Staff went above and beyond to exceed all expectations.

Wonderful getaway for the 2 of us. Called to see if early check-in was possible and we got upgraded to a partial ocean view! Room service was an extra treat for us, but plenty of places to eat at the Sanctuary and off-site.

The beauty and ambiance at the Sanctuary combined with the natural beauty outside makes it the perfect place to truly relax.

Elegant setting, plenty of seating in the lobby area for reading and relaxing, spacious room with a great tub for soaking, quick access to the beach for long walks, delicious dining steps from our room. We will be back!

Everything was fine but the Ocean Room served us a grossly overpriced bottle of wine, liquid potato purée that had been described by the waitress as mashed, and insultingly tiny ice cream dessert portions. The Porch had a better and more realistic wine list.

The hotel, the rooms, ambiance and staff were wonderful.. the Sactuary is a great upscale resort. Will be going back in future

The bathrooms do not have double sinks and the toilet should be more private by putting it in a closed space

It was great but they shut the pool down the first day due to rain and never opened it back up even when it stopped. the golf courses were open so it wasn't a safety issue. we were extremely disappointed over that. ruined our first day.

This is the most magnificent resort! We had an amazing time at the resort. The resort staff were on point and simply perfect. Friendly and welcoming environment. The area is beautiful with so much to see and do. We will be planning another trip here soon.
