It's in Middle Canggu, nice location, everything is nearby and the staff are amazing Although it's in the middle of the "jungle", there is a waste water river passing by, so billions of mosquitoes, and smells, also, a rat tried to enter through the roof of the bungalow, so eventually I ran away the very first day to another hotel. They offered me another bungalow in the other part of the hotel which was very clean and nice and next to their pool at the contrary of the first one, however, I didn't take it and preferred to move to another hotel and have a peace of mind.

Perhaps my favourite place in Bali so far! Huge and beautiful rooms and grounds! The staff were over the top! Andhin was so very friendly and helpful. Wira went way out of his way and went shopping for rare batteries for me! Not much to dislike!

I have lived in Bali for 10+ years and frequently stay in hotels. This was THE BEST place I have ever stayed in Bali. The place is incredible, with a beautiful, green garden. The staff are so helpful and welcoming, and the breakfast is delicious. The rooms are wonderfully designed, with really comfy beds. The hotel facilities are great too, with a nice pool, yoga area and even an area to practice Rindik (Balinese instrument). Wifi is fast and location is strategic. I would 100% recommend The Kropak and hope I can visit again soon!

The Kropak exceeded my expectations. Fabulous, huge room, comfy bed- very private, surrounded by lush gardens with birds, geckos & butterflies. This property has a very relaxed, natural and peaceful vibe. The staff were friendly & helpful- bringing breakfast, drinks and meals to whichever location was requested, food was delicious, they helped me out with queries and transport- nothing was a bother. Having breakfast delivered to my balcony each morning & listening to the stream was a highlight. All other meals were great also. Wira made excellent cocktails- get a Golden Coast and chill by the pool. You could easily swim laps in this pool. I will be a repeat customer. Great value for money and a lovely relaxing property. No issues with hot water as stated in some previous reviews. Was not really upset at anything. Bring mosquito spray as the bathroom in some suites are outdoors, the staff spray the rooms as part of turn down. Keep in mind that this property is older, wooden and also surrounded by extensive gardens- so there will be wildlife- which for me is a highlight. The entry was a little hard to find and could be better lit at night and signposted- I arrived at night in the rain and struggled to find the entry. Fine once I worked it out, however.

Huge room and bathroom, staff were very kind and helpful. Pool experience was quiet except the sounds of nature. Food was good from the restaurant and they accommodated our early departure time for breakfast. Some menu items were unavailable. Mosquitoes still in the room even though they spray. You are in the jungle, after all!

Very unhygienic, there were dead insects inside the room, ones that are fairly dangerous There were insects roaming around as well inside the room even though it’s a closed room The breakfast they had provided was wet on day 1 and 2 and 3 And on day 3 we had asked for a fruit box they sent rotten strawberries When we were leaving we had left a few things in our room, they put everything in a bag and did not tell us until we were questioning them on reception they started giving them bit by bit

Beautiful garden and pool! The food was average and expensive in comparison to what is available around the area.

We had lunch at the hotel twice, and it was both reasonably priced and delicious. Overall, The hotel was good, but there were a few points that could be improved. First of all, the staff were very friendly, but most of them didn’t speak English well, which made communication quite difficult. Before booking the hotel, I read in reviews that there had been issues with the hot water. When I contacted the hotel, they confirmed that the problem had been resolved. However, after taking a shower, when we tried to fill the bathtub with hot water, there was none left. When I asked the staff, they explained that there is a limit to the amount of hot water available, so it is not possible to take a shower for two people and then use the bath. (It would be possible if we used cold water). It was a shame because the bathtub was really nice. Also, We were surprised when someone entered our room without prior notice. We had opened the curtains, turned off all the lights, and locked the door before going out. When we returned, we found that the curtains were closed and the lights were on. When we asked the staff if they had entered the room, they told us that they had come in to spray insect repellent. We got scared, thinking someone had intruded, and we had to check the room thoroughly. We would have appreciated it if they had informed us before entering the room. Also, while most of the staff were very friendly, there was one female employee who was very unpleasant. She greeted my husband with a smile and was kind to him, but she was very rude to me. When we checked out, she only said "thank you" to my husband, and even though she made eye contact with me, she just glared, didn’t say anything, and completely ignored my presence. lol Everyone we met in Bali was so kind, so it was really disappointing.

Resort was just fascinating, feels like you are middle of a jungle right in Canggu. This place is a secret gem. It is soo peaceful, you get to sleep with view of nature and sound of river flowing. Rooms were pretty large and very comfy. Staff is amazing they threat each customer with special care. I truly appreciate their efforts to make your time there flawless. Special thanks to manager of the resort for his kindness and closely taking care of each customer. I would highly recommend this place, especially for couples.

We booked the junior suite and it was the best decision. It was private and secluded in the corner. The room was very spacious and comfy, the interior was spot on and really supports the whole room atmosphere. We barely leave our room. We order food delivery as it is close to Canggu so you can still find various great food but you can avoid the crazy traffic at the same time. It is perfect. The whole area is just amazing and mesmerizing. The host also made sure we needed everything prior to our stay. Nice touch on the flowers too. Thank you! It is not major but there are going to be a lot of mosquitoes, the room was prepped with mos-repellent tho. There was nobody at the reception when we arrived, but we walked inside and we met one of them who later checked us in. Also we messaged the number on the room to ask for the breakfast menu to which was replied 2 hours later where the last order was already long gone. But we didn't mind, they're probably understaffed or busy serving. Overall, still a great experience.
