Went through travago and thought this was a more quality place when it said that it was $114 reduced to $70. The bed was comfortable and the tub was clean. We had to pay a deposit of $50 FOR A NON-SMOKING ROOM that smelled a bit like air freshner covering up smoke. We did not smoke! It was a bit scarey with the concrete steps breaking up and plenty of dirt in the corners.

The place is a crack house. The floor in the room was filthy, curtains disintegrating into shreds, roaches everywhere, door wouldn’t lock. I didn’t even dare set my luggage down. I was in disbelief at the condition of the room. I immediately went to the front desk, returned the key, informed them why and left to find another hotel.

Disgusting. Parties all night. Families living there. Room was nothing like the picture. Left at 3 am because I didn’t feel safe there.

This place is very scetchy to say the least. The pictures are no where near what the rooms actually look like. It looks more like a pay by the hour type place. Not to mention, i couldn't get my car out to check in because i was blocked by multiple police cars. I will never stay here again.

We booked online through hotels.come. When we got there to check in the door was locked and no one would answer the door or phone. We tried for over an hour to get someone to come to the door. We called the main hotel number but was told they couldn't help us. Hotel.com tried to contact them as well with no luck. They ended up having to move us to another hotel.

There were no amenities, no soap for the shower, No bathroom tissue and the entire staff of this particular OYO Inn were absolutely lacking any type of courtesy for the customer to the point of being argumentative.

Never will stay here again, the king size bed was so hard felt like I was laying on a box spring the bed was broken had a huge sink hole in the middle of the bed! Only stayed here due to everything being booked for GHOE homecoming and I had rather slept inside my car! They young lady who checked us in was very sweet and fast with checking this location needs to be shut down it’s dirty and so much noise kids running inland down the hall coming up to our door leaving if against it, mind you it was 1am wouldn’t have minded the kids through the daytime but at 1am was ridiculous ppl outside with fireworks screaming and hollering and junkies roaming through the property anybody can get inside as the side doors do not lock! Very dirty, unsafe and extremely awful

I will choose this place next time I have to visit Winston Salem.

My room had multiple water bugs and roaches. My room was also not cleaned before I got there (there was a beer bottle under the bed) and only “cleaned once I left: my towels and washcloths stayed there the entire stay. I’m personally okay with the cheap paint and tiny holes in the wall, but burns mold and bugs are my biggest pet peeve and boy was it there. The staff was nice and cordial but it’s hard to undo the aforementioned issues.

I encountered two minor issues that didn’t significantly affect my overall experience or rating. First, I wished the lamps had USB ports for charging devices. Second, the check-in process was quite lengthy. The front desk attendant couldn’t provide change for the $50 security deposit. She had to go to another part of the hotel to find the change, but unfortunately, she couldn’t find any. While I could have paid with a card, the hotel specifically recommends cash for the security deposit. If cash is recommended, and even required to purchase snacks available in the lobby, management should make certain change is available for their staff.

This motel fits my needs well. The bed was very comfortable, the TV worked well as did the AC system. The shower was clean and had plenty of hot water. The room was poorly laid out as the desk where I would have liked to use my computer had a refrigerator on top of it with a microwave next to it. Nice convenient location. Kernersville is a nice small town with good shopping.

I had my room paid for and just because my flight got canceled and I wasn’t able to show up until the next day. They canceled my reservations, which is stupid if it was paid for it should’ve been held regardless of when I showed up.

Very dirty. I walked in the room and immediately felt blazing heat because they evidently left the air conditioning off to save money I guess. I had been in the sun all day and wanted a cool room. The sheets were dirty, the bed skirts had spots of blood on them, the tub was filthy, and the floor was not cleaned. They also charged a $50 deposit to stay in a non-smoking room, however the room still smelled like smoke. I wouldn't recommend this room to my worst enemy.

The staff was great. The property needs some upkeep. The rooms need to be redone. My bed, bathtub, and sink had hair in them. However, my stay was pleasant. I felt safe in my surroundings. I was close to food and stores.

The rooms were filthy had to buy toilet paper Lysol wipes Lysol. There was no shower curtain. See the maid every time I went out when I came back room was still dirty towels were stained. My white socks got black from walking on the floor had to throw them out

This was the worse hotel/motel, 1st I paid for a King smoking, and was issued a queen smoking with a smoke detector, the furniture had multiple stains, How about replace the furniture with something new. The Paint job was horrific, wall dirty, and the bed was the most uncomfortable bed in the history of time. OYO is a Yo,Yo and a NO GO! A little paint done correctly can go a long way. The Pictures on the app are misleading, looks nothing as advertised. My recommendation.. I would never recommend this to anyone. My suggestion, it's 2025 and with a little investment, and upgrades this could be,.a nice place.

Really enjoyed my stay. The hotel has made a lot of upgrades over this past year. If it's been a while since your last stay I would recommend giving them another chance.

I have stayed at this location many times over the years. I have to say the new management/owners have made a lot of improvements and updates. If you haven't stayed at this location in a while I would recommend you giving them another chance. I believe you will have the same experience I have had and will pe presently surprised at how much of a difference the nightly says are from now to prior years. The cosmetic updates of course are nice but even the environment seems to be a more peaceful place.

The staff was very friendly, but kind of dysfunctional. The mom and daughter spent 20 minutes back-and-forth on what room to put me in. When I walked into the room, they gave me I could not believe it. It was a borderline someplace that even a homeless person wouldn't sleep. When I told them I wish I could get my money back they did switch me to another room. It was better but still dirty. needless to say, I will never return

Did not like the room. Needs renovation and deep cleaning—daily cleaning would be great. Bathroom was unkempt. Smoke alarm was swapped out and old one remained on the bathroom counter. Everywhere else was sold out and this was a last minute reservation so we had no choice.

It was the only model or hotel close to the venue. It is suitable for the one night stay to be close by the event I was attending.

Rooms are a lot better in the inside and great AC unit. Looks can be deceiving but for the price it was a great stay!!

I found my room to be clean. It had recently been painted. The TV and wifi worked well. The bed was clean and comfortable. The AC worked well. It appeared that the owners are investing in updating the rooms. There are still some deficiencies with simple things. There was nowhere to hang clothes so I had to lay them out on the sofa, negating a comfortable place to sit. A large desk was supplied with a nice business chair, but there was not enough room between the desk and the end of the bed to fit the chair. There were only a few electrical outlets in the room. None were close enough to plug in a laptop and work at the desk unless someone traveled with an extension cord. I stayed three nights at this motel and did not receive one bit of room/maid service. The toilet flushed but was almost clogged enough to overflow. As I left the motel early one morning I asked the front desk to have someone check it out to avoid an overflow. On my return that evening there was no evidence anyone looked at it as it still flushed as it did when I left in the morning. The first two nights I did not even have a plastic cup in the room. After two nights in this motel, I returned to the room and the door lock light would respond to the key card, but the door would not open. A maintenance person was called and I was asked to remain in the room for an hour to let him in. After two hours, no one had appeared. I was finally given a new room. Simple changes could have really improved my stay.

Photo is very deceptive. If you have a concealed-carry permit, put it to use. The weather-stripping around the door was ripped, and so the door (which was bent on the corner – a steel door, bent). Thank God for watching over me.

I would have to say I wasn't very pleased with my stay. First off the room looked nothing like the pictures that were advertised. Second, I got burned in the shower cause the water would go from warm to burning hot then to freezing cold the entire time I showered. Lastly, the room was barely cleaned.

Also, with all the signage about absolutely no pets and if you have a service animal, a copy of paperwork needs to be made, and if caught with pets, you will be told to leave without refund, the irony to this story is the room I was given the wrong key to, those people were sneaking in 2 dogs... just funny how things happen sometimes

The guy at the front desk was really nice and helpful. My only complaint is, this establishment needs some TLC. It was clean and no bugs, but could sure use some light repairs. It is just worn out.

Checked in and then left and stayed elsewhere. Room was very outdated and dirty. Didn’t feel safe staying there with my daughter. Would like a refund but there was a big sign that said no refunds.

This motel is apparently an old motel, no coffee or drinks offered. At least coffee could have been offered. Living on a fixed income I found it expensive for an old motel.

Fast and friendly check-in with clean comfortable room. The only thing missing for my total comfort was an ice machine on the premises. :(

Stayed for 5 nights and it was fine for the price. Brand new a/c so nice and quiet. Parking was easy. Bed was comfortable but the base was falling apart. Shower was good and water pressure ok. No hangers, and hotel needs new towels. It's a far walk from food and there are no sidewalks. Not sure I'd walk around at night. That said, it was fine and a great price.

My first impression when arriving, i didnt have great expectations but i was pleasantly surprised. Room was clean and comfortable. Night clerk was patient because i accidently booked 2 nights and only needed one and had to call Expedia for refund while checking in. It was 4am so that was a big deal to stand there and wait when it was obvious i had woke him up to check in. The room was $50, so dont expect it to be a Hilton or Marriot, but serves its purpose. Glad i found it. Would definitely stay there again.

This place was awful. Door had been broken down at some point, so the deadbolt didn't latch and the flip bar lock at the top was broken off... didn't even seem like the door latched properly. Walls and floor were filthy, bathroom and shower had hair all over and bodily fluids on the walls and floor. The "toiletries" were half empty, so obviously used by the one of the last guests. Best part? The towels were not only dirty, but weren't even folded up. This place didn't even care about PRETENDING it was clean - they just wadded up the used towels and put them back on the shelf. Absolutely disgusting, and the health department should be called on this place. I slept in my car.

The staff lady was very nice and hospitable. The room was old but clean. This motel is more for people who travel and desire to spend a night somewhere and then just keep going. I you looking for a four star hotel this is not it. But for me it served its purpose; spend one nigh of rest.

Wow! Where to begin. Well, don’t use the pictures on the site. They don’t do it justice. The room was dirty but not just dirty with dirt. There were stains all over the room. Couldn’t tell if a murder occurred in the room or not from the stains. The bed had burn holes all in it and felt like something could have been crawling all over me all night. The microwave was full of rust on the inside. If anything, that is a fire hazard alone. Speaking of murders, I wouldn’t be shocked if one happened there. I’m a 6 ft 250 lbs combat veteran and this place was worse and scarier than war. Nothing about this place screams stay here unless you like to stay in fear

There was maybe 1/3 of a roll of TP. No spare. Toilet seat not mounted on toilet. Sink water trickled. one tiny bar of soap, for two to use!? The room had a bad smell to it. The deadbolt lock would not lock. Very small toilet/tub area!

Everything was pleasant until the police came on the property for some reason.

Our waffle house waitress referred to the inn as That Trashy Place. People live there and the cops are often there. We can cooberate this observation as we had 4 cop cars with sirens and lights during our Saturday night inteŕupted slumber.

Stayed here while working out of town was quieter and cleaner than that other named hotel that had people running away from police glad i found this little hole in the wall hotel definitely worth the money and tranquility.

This picture is actually close to being correct. The surrounding area of this place has many vacant buildings and or mechanic shops. It was fairly noisy through most of the day. The room and bathroom were clean however the bathroom is in serious need of repair. Serious...

The only thing good about this property was the price. I rented two king bed rooms, but when we got there only one had a king bed. The room with the two double beds smelled like urine & cigarette smoke, and was extremely stuffy & hot, so bad that my mom & sister who were supposed to be staying in that room left before even settling in -did not stay the night (is a refund possible?) Every surface in the king bed room was sticky (remote, refrigerator, faucets, toilet, dressed, side table, lamps). And every chair was made of fabric, was old, stained and sticky. The towels were supposed to be white but were off grey. It was kind of discussing but on a good note, there were no bed bugs.

The fact that you can't isolate the noise from outside and get a feeling of impending danger from other guests cursing and smoking, and screaming, make this a horrific place.

The staff was very helpful in getting me a refund for 3 rooms. That was the ONLY good thing about the hotel. It was dirty, smelly, and definitely not a place kids should stay. There were no fitted sheets only to be told they are for smoking rooms only, say what. Even the towels looked 10yrs old. The place needs a whole remodel!!
