Disappointing

Staff was indifferent and outwardly helpful or friendly. The nicest and most helpful staff member was a guy who was helped with front desk and handled maintenance. I wish I had gotten his name. Breakfast offerings were okay, nothing great.

Our TV didn’t work properly At all and there was a dog that barked for a long while, even after multiple times calling the front desk It didn’t stop until 11:15

Had no HOT water for showers or clean-up. Checked out…got a thank you…nothing more..”How was your stay…was everything ok”. Stayed 2 nights…no room cleanup. Probably will be my last stay.

The bathtub was slippery; my friend slipped and fell while showering. The front-desk staff said breakfast closes at 10:00 AM, but when we arrived at 9:25, it was already closing. Apparently, it closes at 9:30 AM on weekdays. Luckily, the staff was so nice specially to prepare cheese omelets for us. Overall, the price was pretty good.

We did not know what to expect because a few weeks before, we had stayed at another chain, and the rooms were nothing like what was described or pictured. Also, this was an area that I had not visited before. Once we arrived on the property, we were excited because it was very well-maintained. The staff was extremely helpful and nice, and the check-in process was a snap. We reserved a suite, and once we arrived, we were excited about the room size and the kitchen area. The hotel was so peaceful that we extended our stay another day.

Breakfast was sufficient. Lady handling the breakfast was very nice. The woman cleaning the room was very good. Guide for the TV. The layout of the room was odd in that the bathroom sink was right inside the main door. If someone came in the door the person at think had to move or get hit. Better quality toilet paper would be nice and a bar of soap for washing your face would be good.

Everything was great!

The staff were excellent! Very friendly and helpful. Asked if I needed anything at check in and said hello and bye at check out. The room was clean and the television is big. Beds are clean and comfortable. Only problem was the bathroom. The toilet was clean and plenty of paper. The shower on the other hand is kind of gross. I didn't notice it until I went to use it in the morning. There was mold all around the tub tiles at the bottom of the wall where it met the tub. And also a little bit where the shower head goes into the wall. Other than that, the stay was fine.

Clean. All necessary amenities. Quite. Safe. Great breakfast. Please repair it replace the desk chairs in Room 220. It will not stay in the elevated position.

The Expedia page only shows the pool open May-October but doesn’t give specifics. There was some dust on the ceiling and some wear and tear so just a star for each. Otherwise the staff was amazing and our stay was comfortable.

The staff, outside and interior were great at the lobby and hallways. Finally no smoke or pot stench in the hallway. The room was clean and sheets were too. TV worked and so did the AC. Only bad .....the shower. Mold in it. Buggers on the curtain mold and on the shower head. Plus you can't adjust the water flow. Also the drain and front of the shower looked as if it was sprayed down with flex seal. Other than that. No problem

Had footprint on edge of tub and base of tub needs deep cleaning. No liner in ice bucket. Front desk needs training on how to welcome visitors.

The door locks unlocked very well. The rooms were clean and well maintained. The ice machine upstairs was out of order. The hair conditioner in the bathroom was empty. The staff were all friendly, and the breakfast was very good.

Front desk was rarely at the desk. There was one young man who was there at check in and check out but was on his own personal cell phone and finished what he was doing on that before he helped me. The maids didn’t clean our room one day out of our 4 night stay. I had to notify the front desk to make sure they cleaned our room on the last day we were there. The front desk lady I spoke with on 5/1 was short and acted as if I was bothering her with my questions about checking out a day earlier and asking if I would be refunded. This hotel could use more friendly front desk personnel who don’t seem bothered by their patrons.

The hotel was ok. The doors to the rooms are not square and leave a gap at the top. The bathroom had a mild mildew smell. Pool was not open to swim, but I was able to sit in the sun next to it. Staff was pleasant. Room was decent.

First time being in Best Western and you are greeted with friendly service and the price is decent. Though the hotel is only two floors. The bedrooms are clean, and the beds are comfortable to sleep in.

The location was ideal, since this was a stopping point mid-way my drive. The room was a great size with a comfortable bed and clean bathroom. It was great to have the capacity to control the room temperature! I could hear the person's TV from their room a couple of doors down, disrupted my sleep. The breakfast was ok (although not sure why everything was plastic wrapped).

In our room we didn’t have wash rags I’m glad we brought those our own. The staff wasn’t friendly. I had to speak first. Also, found a bed bug on our pillow and crawling around on the bed.

Room cold when entered, had to wait on person to come to desk to check in. He forgot a form about my car and startled me knocking on my door to get it later.

The 1st room appeared used. The sink had spit up & Hair in it as if someone had Brushed their Teeth or Worse. The 2nd room had dried pee on the Toilet Seat, which i cleaned off myself being in a rush & the rest of the room looked fine. The Seat was up & suds in the bowl. Apparently a poor attempt at cleaning. A quick look would have revealed whst i saw to any staff. Maybe someone is using the rooms after they are cleaned & before they are rented. Maybe staff should take pics of rooms for customers &/or Management to view At/Or Before check in.

It was clean, quiet and I felt secure. Only contact with the staff was at check in and check out. Staff were polite and professional. The breakfast bar was good (not great). Food selection was good but the food was not as warm as it should have been for a really good dining experience. (Cold biscuits and gravy aren’t as tasty as I would have liked). That being said it’s my go to facility in the future when I’m in the area.

King Suite was amazing!!! Very Spacious. Clean. Great hot breakfast offered a lot of options! Everything was very clean and loved the large tv and the couch. Great LED mirror too! (I’ve added pictures so you can have a better idea of this room) There were strong cigarette smoke smells lingering in the halls and made its way into the room. For a non-smoking hotel that was a bit discouraging. We notified the staff and they investigated it. After putting some towels by the doorway to block off the scent and turning the fan the issue was resolved. Also the wifi/internet was veryyyyy slow it made it a bit difficult to stream. The stream worked but the picture was a bit pixelated. However if you want to do work on a laptop make sure you use your phone hotspot.

The staff seemed very upset to have to be there. One of the ladies that served breakfast asked my husband “ didn’t you already eat” because he had went down to get a coffee first then came back to get some breakfast. I wasn’t there but he told me about it when he got back to the room. That employee shouldn’t work there if she wants to act we’re asking her the food. It’s an amenity and we are paying for it with the hotel stay.

We were in a room just off the lobby, and it was extremely loud and disruptive. We did not get any sleep. Some of that was related to traffic through the lobby, but there was also a staff room where staff were speaking quite loudly during the night.

The bed. The paper thin walls, the constant door slamming, the bathroom is poorly put together, no light switch for the lights? Breakfast looked like the nastiest breakfast, juice machines all shut down.

You cant beat this place for the price. Rooms were clean and the beds were comfortable. The bathroom area was small but it was not a big issue. The staff were friendly. You're in between Greensboro and Winston-Salem so the location was ideal for our needs.

The only little flaw was the sleeper couch (not comfortable) and that there was not enough bedding. Other than that, everything was perfect.

The pàrking

Problems-TV lacked basic news channels and was impossible to navigate, and the sound was muffled. All right. Two days without a functional TV is no real loss. Breakfast offered many choices, but all of them except the eggs were of the overly processed, waxed fruit, sugary cereal, or sugary and glyphosate Quaker Oats variety. The pancake machine was state of the art--push a button and out comes two very flat, tasteless circles. Again, for a clean and quiet night's sleep at reasonable cost, I would stay there again without hesitation. Would like some real food for breakfast.

We were very happy with our one night stay! The hotel is older, but is nicely updated in the lobby and rooms. Most importantly, everything was very clean! Nice, clean outdoor pool with updated patio furniture. My family of 4 all found the beds comfortable and we slept well. The continental breakfast had a nice variety and the employee in that area was so helpful and friendly! Both employees we spoke to at the front desk were friendly as well. We would definitely stay again!

The wonderful lady who was working the breakfast bar should be COMMENDED for her excellent handling of the food and cleanliness of the entire area. She was on top of of everything. I didn't get her name but im sure you can look and see who was working the Friday and Saturday that I stayed there. I also hope she gets to see this review. Thank you!

Not enough parking

From the window side of the room was constant traffic from the interstate. I was forced to turn off the wall mounted central air conditioner in my room below the window because the fan required service and seemed like it was hitting another object inside the unit. I never was able to sleep and instead conceded to packing my belongings at 3:30 a.m. even though I'd be awake from my day's drive for 22-1/2 hours. I drank 2 Keurig cups of regular coffee to become more alert, and slightly before 5 a.m. I checked out, got into my car and drove 7 hours home to finally get some sleep. What else I'd noticed an hour after my arrival is that the majority of guests were construction workers, who were working on various sites in the area including constuction at a power plant owned by Duke Energy. It's possible that I was misjudged and placed with their grouping in the noisy area of the hotel, but I my stay was due to visiting my sister and nephews and was not at all a work or business trip.

I like tge Best Western but there was a big problem with the shower, I had very little water pressure that just got weaker and weaker until it was a trickle. I had to get the rest of the soap off of me by using the sink.

My teenage daughter’s eye glasses were taken from the room. She wore her contacts when we left the room. I know exactly where they were when we left and the next morning while packing to leave they were not. Very upsetting. The room and amenities however were fine.

When we arrived in our room, there was a spider in the bathtub. The gentleman at the front desk was nice enough. The continental breakfast was just enough - good variety without being too much. Overall a good stay.

Very friendly staff. Rooms are clean. Love that the room was equipped with a mini fridge, microwave, and coffee maker. Hosted breakfast and complimentary water is a great water to start a busy day. Will definitely plan to stay in the future.

Stayed here while in town for a wedding. Convenient location - just off I-40. Parking was easy. All the staff we encountered were friendly and helpful. The room was spacious but the bathroom was a little tight. Very clean and well-kept. Breakfast was good, hot and plentiful.

I did not feel some of the desk staff was overly friendly. The woman who set up the breakfast in the AM was excellent. Also, the gentleman who managed the room cleaning staff was very friendly and helpful.

Rooms are in need of an update beds were not bad, but the pillows were awfully flat. Bathroom was very small. Never had breakfast there. Near an interstate so dining options weren't too bad. All in all it wasn't too bad.

I would definitely stay again. Fast check in and friendly front desk staff.only thing I didn’t like was the bathroom floor was dirty.

The location is convenient, there's a gas station right next door. The room overall wasn't too bad. The bathroom and toilet was very clean. The bed was quite comfortable, I'd say it was not too hard or firm but not so soft you get swallowed up by the mattress. I do travel often and have definitely come across much worse. I work in the pest control industry and are knowledgeable about bed bugs. I ALWAYS inspect EVERY room I ever stay in. The room I stayed in was free from pestilence. I thoroughly inspected the room and found no evidence of infestation in this particular room at this time. I choose to stay with Best Western because they can afford proper treatment in the event of an issue and I have consistently had a good experience. Thank you!

Needed a one night stay for a triathlon in Greensboro. Wanted something close, convenient and comfortable. Best Western fit the bill. Friendly, professional staff. checked all the blocks.

The hotel was clean , beds comfortable,the breakfast was really good and the staff was nice!

This property was superb, from check in to check out. The housekeeping staff were friendly and attentive, the breakfast attendant maintained this area and service impeccable. The pool was clean and had towels. Room was clean and everything functioned. Breakfast was adequate, but very convenient. Only one minor issue, the night staff were young and didn't even lift their eyes up when we came in or went out in the evening. For the money this was worth it. I would definitely stay again.

Very convenient to the interstate. The room was clean a nicely appointed. The bed was comfortable and the temperature was well regulated. The TV worked fine but the remote did not work well. It was difficult to select channels. The breakfast was good, especially the scrambled eggs. For hotel fare, I was impressed with the eggs. The lady attendant at the breakfast bar was very nice. She made every attempt to ensure we had everything that we neede. Would definitely stay here again.
