Comfort Inn Kennesaw

No laundry on site but staff did give address to local laundry. Very loud guests next door at 2:00 am. Same staff came upstairs to ask them to quiet down after phone call to desk. Whole place needs a coat of paint and updating. My bed was extremely small for the queen that was advertised. Traffic was very loud in my 2nd floor room. The only reprieve from trucks on the nearby interstate was the loud a/c unit. Morning staff was very pleasant with a sweet smile but it didn't compensate for my restless night. Price was lower than neighboring hotels so I guess I got what I paid for.

I’ve stayed here multiple times and they never disappoint. We were exhausted after a 30+hour drive and couldn’t wait to just shower and lay down. Gene was amazing. The next morning the lady doing breakfast made sure nothing ran out and my kids thought she was the best! Great place

A great place to stay

If you’re in a really hard spot and you need a place to stay I guess this might be your place. My room had to be changed because the first room smelled so much like marijuana and musty mildew. My second room was only slightly better and didn’t smell like marijuana but was just dusty and the carpet is old. I almost left, but it was late and I’ve driven hundreds of miles so I really needed to stop. This was absolutely a last resort I would never stay at a comfort and again.

The staff was very professional and friendly. The room was clean but not as clean as it could be. They need to update a few things in the hotel. We did find a bug here and there in our room during our two night stay which freaked us out and I'm praying we didn't bring anything home with us because we do not live with bugs in our home. Breakfast was mediocre. The location is very convenient to the highway shopping dining entertainment.

This hotel was an absolute delight at staying from the time we checked in and we had the pleasure of meeting Gene who was incredibly kind, helpful and very attentive. The entire experience was incredible and made our short trip a pleasure and we will definitely be back if we are in the area. To quote my children nothing was bad. It was great

Not treated well by staff if you have concerns there is a professional way to approach them I do not feel that was done and my stay was unpleasant as a result The rooms are dated The bathrooms have built in tubs not modern showers. The curtains are dated the walls were painted but look cheap. The room has wall air conditioning not the central air. The lobby is very clean the furniture is dated though the breakfast is ok but they anyways run out of coffee It’s not really on the level of a hotel price at this point It should be cheaper br star if the dated room decor ur the doors have slide in keys not the touch key It’s underwhelming definitely not worth 118

The gentleman, Gean has no business at the front desk, checking people in. I repeated three times exactly who I was what rooms I had reserved and the names of the three people I put the rooms under. He had things so mixed up. I felt like it was an old Abbott and Costello skit “who’s on first“ We also spoke with corporate, told them the whole story and they said that we would be contacted in 72 hours in regard to our experience that was two weeks ago. Sure glad I didn’t hold my breath.

Location and comfort and price!

I did not feel comfortable staying here. Barely slept. Didn't feel safe.

Staff was very friendly. We didn't eat breakfast at the hotel, was a very small area for breakfast. Saw a spider and some other bug in our room. Also lamps that didn't work. Not very many plugs to charge devices. No water pressure.

The carpet and couch were stained and in need of replacement.The bathroom ceiling had peeling paint. We checked in in-person at the counter and paid, but the next morning management knocked on the door saying that we were reported as no-shows. Breakfast was decent, air conditioning was cold but made a strange sound. The man that checked us is was very friendly.

Everything was good however there was not enough hidicap parking. The commode was very wobbly like it wasn't fastened to the floor.

Gene at front desk was very nice. This property is extremely dated. Carpet was gross. Needs paint and overall did not think it was a great hotel. It’s fine in a pinch. One more thing we traveled with a service dog and was reprimanded that we did not mention at booking (which is not a thing on Expedia). Choice hotels don’t allow pets and apparently aren’t too keen on service dogs either. They did accommodate us and it was for one night only but thought it should be mentioned.

Staff was super helpful after giving me a long suite instead of 2 queens as I had paid. The gentleman working said “it has a king and a sofa bed” to which I replied “that’s not what I booked (didn’t want a family member sleeping on a pull out sofa bed). The lady behind the desk swapped the room with no hesitation as it seemed the gentleman was not so sure. It sounds negative but just explaining the entirety to show that they worked together and ultimately sufficed our needs. N/a

Pleasant hotel experience, loved the breakfast every morning

Excellent location north of Atlanta congestion. Friendly check-in and above average breakfast. Room was clean and shower had adequate hot water and pressure. Towels were soft and plentiful. Parking was well lit. The price at $86 (before taxes) was excellent compared to Holiday Inn Express next door. The facility was older and could use major upgrades to carpet and furnishings. Fairly dark room, but excellent new tv and cable choices. Lots of food choices, but avoid the Shell station across the street that had the slowest pumps ever. Ridiculous!

Clean rooms

Staff was very friendly. The room condition was poor. The pictures made it look much nicer than it was. There was a bad smell in the air, loose hardware on the adjoining doors, and stains on the curtains. The bathroom ceiling had mold all over it and peeling paint. Not worth the stay at all. Do not reccomend.

This was a bit above average. Pay attention to find the entrance. Close it the freeway yet very quiet. Gene, the front desk person was exceptionally professional, helpful and personable, a real rarity these days!!!

No new toilet paper in the bathroom, the showerhead was leaking, there were crumbs on the bedsheet, the AC was extremely loud, I didn’t sleep good at all

No pool or gym. Breakfast was OK. Good scramble eggs and cheese, plus the usual. Vending machines were empty. Ice was only available on the first floor.

This property was very clean, comfortable, and quiet. The breakfast was just right. The bed was so comfortable! Had an excellent stay, and will return in the future. :-)

The room had a musty smell and the floor unit ac had what appeared to be mold on the vents. The bed was comfortable but the smell of the room made it difficult to rest. The breakfast was a have cut cheese omelette that was over cooked in a microwave and the muffins were not fresh. They do have an option to make waffles.

Nice all around facility. The hotel was maintained and I could see they make it a priority to upkeep this property. Didn't expect luxury so this was an affordable, nice hotel with everything needed for our 3 day stay. I have zero complaints.

The only positive comments would be that the beds were comfortable, the check-in person was friendly, and the hotel was near plenty of restaurants and stores. Unfortunately, the parking lot was small and there was trash everywhere. There was also an abandoned car with all flat tires and no license plate. The inside smelled like cigarette smoke. We noticed stains on the carpet in the hallway and in our room. The supplied mini-fridge was warm, not working. Bathroom walls were dirty. The shower curtain rod was improperly installed, causing the curtain to not stay put and kept rolling towards the middle, therefore causing water to splash outside the tub. I had to keep the curtain pulled with one hand while trying to wash with the other hand, which was a little difficult. No vent/fan in the bathroom which is probably why there was black mold on the ceiling directly above shower. The bathroom door was huge and you can barely move around when you’re trying to get in and close the door. The air conditioner was noisy and had a very musty smell, and every time it shut off it would make a loud squeaking noise. The elevator certificate said it was last inspected in 2023 and expired in February 2024. They offered free breakfast, but due to everything listed above we had no desire to stay and eat.

We had a wonderful stay! The room was very clean. Always changed our garbage out and towels. The breakfast was great. Came back and stayed an extra night.

Location great. Can walk to twin peaks for dinner if you don’t want to get back in the car after traveling. Rooms are spacious. Property a bit dated but very clean.

The staff was exceptionally friendly and helpful. The location was easy to find with a starbucks across the street. There are lots of restaurants and fast food near by. We stayed for a baseball tournament and it was in a safe area and we had no issues at all.

Over all the hotel very nice and safe.

No one available at the front desk, Orbitz customer service even tried to call and reach someone and was unable to. Listing says truck/RV/bus parking is available, but it doesn’t seem to be. There is a sign at the entrance no trucks allowed. Can’t rate or review anything else as we were not even able to check in, and yet the Hotel refused a refund.

The rates are very affordable and convenient location. The refrigerator in the room did not work but that would not stop me from staying again as it wasn’t really needed.

My only complaint is they ran out of orange juice 45 minutes before the end of breakfast time. I don’t drink coffee an orange juice was the only drink for me and they didn’t have any for the last 45 minutes breakfast was supposed to last.

There was no hot water so we had to take cold shower. The night desk person was a bit snippy. When asked what they provided for the free breakfast, "It's hotel food, what do you expect?" I just wanted to know if they served hot food or just continental. We won't be staying at that Comfort Inn again.

The interstate traffic noise was so loud. I played a white noise sound app on my phone trying to drown it out and I could still hear the noise over it. The beds are way too firm. I'm a side sleeper and my hips were hurting so bad. There was mold present in the bathroom along the corners and on the ceiling and there was even mold on the lamp shade of the bedside lamp that was closest to the a/c. Breakfast was okay. It was bacon, muffins, fruit and waffles (if you wanted to make them).

The staff was very helpful and polite. My room was impressively clean. I normally stay at Hilton hotels & found this particular location to rank equally if not higher for staff and cleanliness. The lack of vending or small snack shop would have made my stay even better.

The only reason i'm not giving five stars is...the older guy that checked me in was indeed pleasant, but a little too "chatty". After a very long drive with hours of delays causing us to arrive really late (around 10pm), the kids and I were tired and hungry. I simply wanted to check in quickly and get them fed. He truly was nice, but some of his attempts to make jokes came off as awkward, and he would stop what he was doing to make the jokes which made it take even longer despite someone else waiting behind me (looking slightly annoyed/antsy), and my child repeatedly complaining to me "I'm hungry dad" A touch of additional training on balancing chatty stories/jokes and making check-in brief (especially when it's late and people have multiple children) could polish his skills right up. Overall it was a great environment, very clean, excellent location, walking distance (literally a stones throw away) from and/or a very short drive to lots of restaurants, shopping, and amenities. Despite being at the heart of all that activity our room was very quiet!! I would certainly visit again and recommend this property.

Nice place

The roomed looked nice but the floor was not properly cleaned. I had white socks on that turned brown after walking on the carpet in my room. I also found someone's toenail on the floor as well. Lastly, the shower did need a little more pressure.

Staff was great!

Asked for new sheets and blankets at the front desk and was told that they were all out. Hotel elevator inspection tag is expired for over a year The price was for this 2 star hotel was about the same as other 3 to 4 star hotel. I would stay away from this hotel

Room was just showing some datedness. Otherwise, we had a comfortable night's stay and the breakfast was sufficient to get us on the way for a very long travel day back to Canada.

The stay was nice. The room was neat and tidy. The bed skirt and the carpet needs cleaning, other than that, all was fine. The workers worked hard to keep the areas clean. I am assured that they will get the rest cleaned.

I requested a bathroom with handrails by the toilet and there were no rooms available, I was told. There was a maximum of ten cars in the parking lot. I asked the desk clerk what time breakfast was and his reply was ‘it’s on the room key’ Then he said 6:30 to 9:30.

It’s prime location for shopping, eating and just general fun! The hotel is a new Comfort inn but is still a decent hotel for the price! Good breakfast, great coffee and the clerk on nights is hilarious. Would rebook in future if in area.

First the staff was not friendly. Only one out of the three I saw at the front lobby would speak to you. Second the hotel wasn't as clean as it was advertised. The bathroom shower curtains had dirt on it, the room smelled of dogs, the carpet was filthy. One of my family member who stayed in a separate room had to switch rooms because there was mold and dirt in the bathroom. We stayed 3 nights and on the second night we came back from an outing to find 7 to 8 police officers in the lobby, no one could go to their rooms. They were looking for someone who was in the hotel I think it was a burglary that had happened not sure they never explained what was really going on. I've never seen that many police officers, one with a battering shield for burglar suspect. Needless to say we won't be staying there again.

Carpet was dirty. Given a hard time bc I travel with a service dog. Told to only take her thru a stairwell and use a wood block in the door to keep it open when I took her out. Questioned by another employee about holding open the door. Rude and unprofessional.

Most uncomfortable bed

We were attempting to get away from Florida hurricanes, and finding a room after 14 hours on the road was a huge relief. The beds were fine, the breakfast was complimentary but the bathroom was very small.

Overall it was fine although my car did get broken into window shutter, if they could do something about security.
