I would rate this hotel as "average". Room was very clean but bathtub had been scrubbed to the point of being worn out down to the metal in a rather big area. The rest of the bathroom had been modernized, but not the bathtub for some reason. The bed was comfortable but the pillows on the King-size bed consisted of 4 very small pillows instead of 2 standard pillows--very unusual. The air freshening system throughout the motel was much too strong with a very strong perfumed scent. The breakfast was fine-- standard offerings for a hotel of this level. The breakfast area was clean and well-stocked. Staff was friendly. The key card did not work properly to open the door to the room, but the front desk attendant came up to the room with us to check it out and open the door. Overall, a good stay but with some quirks.

The bed was somewhat comfortable shower had good pressure and was clean.. the cleaning staff was very nice Pillows were not normal size kinda like throw pillows for decor.. my key kept deactivated and I had to get new keys 5 TIMES! Tv was old , remote was ineffective and couldn’t hear the tv over the noise from the AC under the window.. location was in the hood.. I was by myself but if my family was there it felt unsafe! No place to purchase a water because coin machines were empty..it looked like anyone could walk in off the street that wanted to.there was an old corded phone that wasn’t even hooked up

The property had a weird smell. Every night I got a very strong smell of cigarette from the washroom which makes me think that their venting system has some problem. The staff weren’t courteous at all. They initially assigned me a wrong room and when I went into the room, there was a person inside already. When I told them about it, they didn't say anything and gave me another room, as if it was a normal incident.

Breakfast was underwhelming. Cleaning staff was not pleasant at all. There was one young gentleman working the front desk at check in that was great. The older man we encounter later in our stay was unpleasant and questioned how many ppl we had staying in our room. This place is used to a certain type of ppl and is not family oriented. The entire property inside and out reeks of weed. Needs major renovations, deep cleaning, and staff overall! Will not be staying again.

The shower curtain needs replacing. Would be nice to have soap at the sink in the bathroom. Staff was great, parking was great. Room a little small. A chair to sit in would be nice too. Breakfast was adequate.

The property is what is expected at the price point. The place was very quiet which I appreciated. Some of the furnishings in the small lobby area definitely show wear and tear. My room was nice and clean and though I came with my own towel I noticed the towels there weren’t paper thin. The free breakfast was limited (again it matches the price point). My only irritation was when I was attempting to get something to drink from the juice dispenser I was having an issue and didn’t know if it was out or I was doing something wrong … there was one other person in the space with me and she was getting breakfast as well, I didn’t know she was staff because she wasn’t in a uniform and she simply looked at me while I was talking to myself about what I could be doing wrong. I realized she was a member of staff when she walked into the staff only room (no why would you as an employee try to assist me or tell me it’s broken). Nevertheless when I saw another young lady that come out of that room and was grabbing a bite I asked her about the dispenser and she tried it and realized it was working but was empty and apologized for the inconvenience. No juice for me. Just a brief overnight so I didn’t see or use any other amenities.

Rooms are ok manager was really aggressive, defensive and rude because I brought to his attention 3 issues related to weed smell in elevator gym etc., it was stinky and when I take a shower hot water turns to warm or cold, maid don’t speak English and miscommunication occurred. When I brought these issues he told me to leave the hotel and not to stay there. I told him I paid upfront. He said I would be refunded by third-party payment I paid to. I thought that was really bad Customer Service instead of apologizing he told me to leave, where do I go? I don’t have a place to stay. I will never stay in that hotel ever again.

Friendly staff and great location. Breakfast was listed as continental, so the hot breakfast was a nice surprise. The pillows were too small, but otherwise the bed was comfortable.

Dinning area and gym. Additionally, found the staff to be enjoyable. It’s overall room cleanliness. While the bed was made and certainly comfortable, I found strands of hair underneath my bed sheets, in the shower, along the bathroom counter top, and along the toilet.

The room was súper clean, the staff really nice and the place súper quiet. It was a pleasant stay.

The room had a very nice decor and the bed was very comfortable. Front desk lady was very kind. A closet or a coat rack on the wall is needed, especially in the Fall, Winter seasons. The manager disturbed me by knocking on my door 2 different times to come in with a workman to measure my window for a plan to put in new windows. Going back and forth with me after I said not convenient, but come back in an hour. I wasn't dressed appropriately and annoyed by the disturbance.

Rooms are really dated. Holes in the walls and ceiling. Toilet leaked in first room, moved to second room and door was broken. Staff was really nice but place definitely needs some updating. Also the place reeked of smoke.

Not a single thing The entire place is foul smelling, uncleaned, disgustingly dirty and full of hookers coming and going in between the police visits. Stopped here last minute with 2 kids just to be able to sleep, what a mistake. We did not feel safe here.

The room was very well maintained, the bed is comfortable, the staff were all very welcoming and friendly, parking is easy and plentiful, wi-fi is good, breakfast is included and the options are varied and well-stocked.

I liked everything but the only thing that makes this a place I won’t come back to is all the mold that was up and down our bathroom’s wall, and a bit lining the shower floor. That was a fat no for us. Everything else like service and bedroom was amazing but that much mold???????

I did not like the conditions of the room. It smelled like cigarettes, carpet felt damp, mold in the bathroom, rust around the bathroom frame, carpet was coming up and half used complimentary bottles.

I had a great stay. Had to extend 2 days and the staff was very helpful and allowed me to stay in the same room. Clean, quiet, and great even for a staycation.

This is an economy hotel that is exceptionally nice and well run by the staff. Housekeeping of my room was impressive, with attention to detail and no short cuts. Desk staff was polite and professional. For this brand and price point, truly better than most comparable options or even better than some more expensive options.

The staff was extremely rude every day. Initial day staff gave wrong times for beach chair rental. Spent two days with fire alarm issues. Now dealing with credit card issues. Front desk stole card info and now resort trying to charge invalid fees. Had to cancel card. Do not stay at this facility.

I just stayed there for a few hours to get some much needed sleep, since we drove thru the night. The hotel was nice and clean. They allowed us to extend our check out with no additional cost. The breakfast was adequate. Great hotel for the low price.

If all you need is a nice bed, a quiet clean building, close to major roads, a fair breakfast menu, and nice people this is a lower cost facility that offers fair value.

Sleep Inn Columbia Gateway was by far the worst hotel I’ve ever stayed in. The entire place was filthy, with stained carpets, a nauseating smell, and a bathroom that looked like it hadn’t been cleaned in weeks. The room felt eerie and unsafe, with broken peep hole, broken door locks and an overall unsettling vibe. On top of that, the bed was extremely uncomfortable, and the staff was rude and completely unhelpful when I voiced my concerns. I didn’t feel safe or clean for even a moment. Avoid this place at all costs—it was a truly miserable experience.

This hotel is sufficient, we reserved 2 rooms one of the toilets didn't flush properly and when I alerted the front staff about it I was given directions on how to get it to work instead of them offering to fix it. Breakfast was okay however their waffle maker wasn't properly working at the time. They ran out of eggs at 8 am and I told the front desk person and he said they did not have any more eggs, this person just didn't want to look because 5 minutes later the Breakfast attendant took care of making more. The beds were okay, the carpet could use a shampoo walking on the carpet in socks will turn your socks brown from dirt. All in all it was okay for what you pay.

Downstairs lobby was dirty with stain old furniture. Doors were kept open and it was cold and unpleasant. The check in was the worst. Couldn’t find reservation so had to wait for 20 minutes late at night.

The room it’s self it’s plenty, the African American dude was clueless, couldn’t find me after 40 minutes after spelling my name 30 times.

While the facility was ok they had signs posted in the lobby saying that you could not bring anything from the breakfast area back to your room. The second thing is that the staff could not resolve the issue I had when try to connect to the internet. The breakfast was ok but the staff kept on coming over to see what I was doing or eating like if I was being watched. I felt very uncomfortable and probably would not stay there again

Given the price, I am ok with the service and room I got.

Staff was nice, room was a little rough (mold in the bathroom, broken bathroom door, rose petals still on the floor from previous guests). I was very frustrated that I wasn't advised there would be an additional deposit held. The deposit itself isnt the problem, but thr fact it was not communicated until it was time to check-in.

Staff is very freindly and the rooms are always clean. Some wear and tear in the rooms but nothing major. Good value for sure. Location is close to I95 and easy to find.

There was a roach in my room they had to keep switching n my room more than once the heater in the room didn’t even work I was cold

We were given a key to a room already in use. Soon as we entered we turned around and went to the desk. The clerk didnt apologize or anythinv. That alone left us worrisome about someone coming into our room. The next day we left our room and saw a sports car stripped of its tires. Yeah we are never going back.

It's a decent place to stay for what you pay for. Rooms are in a bit of a rough condition but they're clean. Service is friendly, welcoming and responsive. I would come here again. Free parking, WIFI and breakfast.

This place was right around work and had to stay to make sure all shifts were covered with the snow. While I had tried to get some sleep, wasn't overly tired. My room was also practically facing a busy road so a tad noisy. Overall had breakfast and was a good stay. Front desk was very friendly

The property was clean and nice

The room was very clean with personal coffeemaker, fridge and microwave. The TV worked great, sheets were clean and housekeeping came every day we were there to make beds, vacuum, take trash and refresh towels. Very happy!

The inner room was terrible the paint was chipped of all around the bathroom it was rust it looks gross it was a huge spider web in the corner the tub was cracked and rusted not g ft or me I live better then that

We had asked for extra pillows and they had none and gave me a blanket to roll up and use the first night. The next night I asked for some again and the person at the desk I already had enough in my room and they had no more to give out. There was mold in our bathroom. My daughter’s room service was bad, she had stained pillow cases and put them on the floor to be changed and the same ones were put back on the bed.

The carpet was soaked leading up to the elevator. I almost slipped a few times.

The staff was excellent! However the room condition was very poor. There were stains on the floor, damaged vent grates on the air conditioner, mismatched paint on walls due to damage repairs, dry wall protruding from around the bathtub which revealed behind the wall, mildew in the bathroom where counter meets the backsplash, and overall feel of disrepair. Again, the front desk staff was excellent - friendly, engaging, and diligent. If room was repaired, this would have been a pleasant stay.

Everything was fine but it’s clear that some updates, particularly in the bathroom, are overdue. It was still a good value for our one night stay and everyone there could not have been nicer!
