La Quinta Inn & Suites by Wyndham Columbia / Fort Meade

I was able to connect my own media to the TV for entertainment that's a big check in. My book. Staff was helpful. Nobody came bothering us. Telling us to keep it down because neighbors are complaining. What I'm saying is I had a really good time at La Quinta, which is in the cut. It's hidden behind other establishments not even visible from the road. I'm not saying that any of the things I portrayed happening really happened, so don't hold it against me La Quinta. I had a wonderful stay and I would recommend this particular La Quinta to anybody, for a whole lot of reasons, business or pleasure. If I have photos they're not not family friendly so I'm not going to add them to this review. And I have photos and film!

Breakfast was fresh. Parking was easy and the room was clean and comfortable. Highly recommend.

I want my money back hotel was dirty and so was replacement room that was offered. Lou’s rave at two am in garage and parking lot. Very displeased

Convenient to 95. Dog friendly and didn't charge me for them which was great. Breakfast decent- not the best La Quinta one I've had but fine. Room was a little older but clean and comfortable beds. Quiet. There was a parking garage near the parking lot where walk the dogs with some unsavory folks hanging around so maybe not the safest area but we didn't have any problems.

The first room I was given hadn’t been cleaned yet. I returned to the front desk and was given another room. Property was clean. Staff was friendly. My suite was nice and up to date. Will definitely stay here again.

Room clean

The pillows on the beds are hard throw pillows at best. Lumpy and uncomfortable. Not a restful sleep. Breakfast was limited. Staff were friendly.

Everything was fine for the most part. Shower and bathroom didn't feel as clean as it could've. There were lipstick smears on the window. Other than that it was a decent stay for the price.

Entry door and key to our room did function properly and caused unnecessary trips down to Frint desk to try and resolve. They should have a maintenance person come up to fix and provide us another room

Not very clean. No water pressure. Key cards did not work. We had to ask for towels each day. AC extremely loud. Water only available at breakfast. Location was questionable.

Well my first arrived I told the staff at the check-in counter that it was my first time stay at their hotel and could they walk me through the process. They happily obliged and were quite clear on instructions with no need to repeat. The rooms were clean and neat. Our bathroom was supplied with one bottle of shampoo with conditioner. I did not call down for any additional supplies. The window has blackout curtains as well as sheer.

The entire hotel is very clean. The gym was well equipped. Great place to stay.

* Front desk male staff had bad odor. * Found two cockroach in the room. One I had to kill. * faucets were stiff and kinda hard to adjust. Both the shower and the sink. * liquid shower gel was empty upon arrival. Had to ask for couple of bar soaps so I didn’t have to have a cleaner come in the room. * toilet flush lever sometimes gets stuck and would run all night if you don’t lift it. Maybe it was just my room. Who knows but that’s my experience there. The bed was clean and comfortable and breakfast was descent. They atleast change it daily between bacon and sausage.

They serve a decent hot breakfast. The only downside is the toiletries, a lot of inconsistency with the rooms, we reserved 6 rooms for our team and all of them were missing at body wash, shampoo or conditioner. I personally like the bottles instead of the mini bars that aren’t even enough for 1 use. Other than that everything was perfect.

First room wasn't clean so we got moved to a different room. (Someones weave/wig/hair extensions were left in the closet) The floor smelled like weed for our entire stay (4 days). Not the safest area either. 2 Peoples cars got their tires stolen and the hotel couldn't help since the cameras weren't working. I would not recommend staying here.

Stayed here to lay my head down overnight as I was passing through. While I had a safe and restful visit, several things put me at risk. First, the hotel double booked a room and as I walked into the room, someone was inside. Luckily, no harm was caused. But had someone walked in while I was changing, that would have been dangerous. Luckily, the hotel quickly corrected the issue and gave me a new room. When I got to the second room, I noticed that the door lock was loose. It could still lock but someone motivated to break in probably could. When I told the hotel staff, they said it couldn’t be fixed right away. However, it looked like a quick fix with simple tools like a screwdriver. Finally, as I was driving out, I noticed that a homeless encampment was located next door. So based on these things, I’m not going to stay at this hotel again.

When I arrived at my room, the window was wide open despite the winter temperature, and the bathroom smelled of cigarettes (Room 300). The air conditioner/heater was so noisy that I had to sleep with earplugs and ended up not sleeping at all. Five minutes before the end of breakfast, they refused to serve me. This is the first time I've encountered a three-star hotel with such terrible service.

the hotel however let us down with their responsibly handling snow emergency. we were left in the car parking on our own to dig out to get out and be on our merry way. Most travellers guests did not bring snow shovels and giving a hard time. the hotel receptionist said the snow plow truck was on the way but did not get there on time. yes they apparently cleaned the land to some extent but very dangerous all around the hotel. LaQuinta hotel, Jessup was very Irrespondible with the emergency handling. They may argue it was natural snow emergency. Yes it was but it was not unannounced. You hit time to prepare for you workplace with which you made $$$$ from us but you left us in such horrible condition. UIll not stay at LaWuinta again unless they're the only hotel left in the US. Sad

The room didn’t look like it was cleaned in between… I actually checked my bed to see if the sheets had been laundered. It was fine for a night but the area is iffy, there’s a weird basement entrance, everything could have been cleaner and the room didn’t — but the hotel itself smells of cigarettes and weed.

The hotel is nice and clean. I did bring my dog so I am glad it is dog friendly.

Breakfast was adequate ( waffles, coffee, bacon, scrambled eggs, bread, bagels, cereal, yogurt, orange juice and apple juice). During our stay power went out for about 1hr. Facility has no backup generator. Internet was fast. Staff was friendly. The lobby had the scent of marijuana during our stay, but this does not reflect anything against the facility or staff, but I wish there was a way to vent out the scent, or at least mask it somehow.

I found the place on hotels.com because I felt ill and didn't want to drive 2 hrs home. I got a clean, comfortable room and a pretty quiet hall. I didn't stay for breakfast due to other plans, but it looked decent. The front desk staff and housekeepers were very welcoming and helpful, and wished me happy new year as I was leaving. I would definitely stay again and will keep it in mind for my next trip. Thanks!

From the time our stay started till the time of checkout, our room was never serviced by housekeeping. Multiple request went ignored. We spoke to the head of housekeeping, directly who assured the room would be cleaned and yet the room still wasn’t cleaned. Other attendees in the hotel in the room next to ours got into a huge fight and argument that lasted from midnight to 3 AM that no one came to address so that affected the sleep. There was an issue with the toilet in our second room that no one came to address and we the guest had to address ourselves. I have emailed the manager. I have called multiple times and received not one response back. Often times calling down to the desk they don’t answer the phone. And God forbid you need new towels or wash rags because you’re not getting them. To have paid for two rooms that never got cleaned you had to beg or go get fresh towels yourselves restrooms not working and no one thinks it’s important to even give a customer a call back. I suggest finding elsewhere for lodging.

The heater in the room was extremely loud and kept waking us up.

The room was clean, the location was quiet, the staff was pleasant and professional, and there was no foolishness. A hidden location that you wouldn't know existed if not for an online map.

I booked this hotel based on the high reviews, especially noting the positive feedback oertaining to the breakfast. Unfortunately, my sons who went down and grabbed breakfast were very disappointed. Out of the 5 items they plated, each obny ate the yogurt and cereal. The eggs were wet and cold. The sausage was luke warm. And they also boted the lineup for waffles was very very long. The location of the hotel is good. The bodywash in the shower was empty. In general the hotel overall is very basic.

Oh! Most important! They are pet friendly which is very important for me since I travel with my baby dog

Pet friendly- THANK YOU! Clean. Nice sized fitness area. Good breakfast. Mattress and pillows are in need of updating (not comfortable). Room got cleaned and restocked daily. Desk staff very friendly and accommodating. Kind of sketchy area on the street - garbage/furniture piled up and a lot of semis parked nightly outside of hotel on the street.

We arrived late around 12.30 AM and the front desk staff greeted us with a smile. The room was perfect and the sheets were clean. All bath essentials were provided and towels were clean too. Breakfast is served from 6 30AM to 10AM and had enough options to choose from. We loved the stay, though for a short time and would definitely come back.

The property is in a area of walkable shopping and dinning, it accepted pets. Food and bed is accepting.The staff was very friendly and helpful.

Room was fairly clean but the bed it was extremely uncomfortable and the air conditioning was so incredibly loud that I could not sleep all night. I was doing the road trips solo, sleep is essential! I ended up driving a couple hours and finding a different hotel so I could get a good night's sleep.

Moment I entered the room there were roaches. I had ticking feeling inside the bed not sure it was dust mittens or bed bugs . The room was having musky odor. The ac unit was very loud . I do not recommend this place.

Durring my 4 day stay i had to go to the front desk every day to get towels and wash cloths. They cleaned the room ,took the towels and never replaced all of them. The front desk didn't have enough to give us,so they shorted us everyday. One day I can understand but not everyday. I dont work for them.

Toilet leaking almost slipped Towel rack not in tack and fell

When I checked in, I was informed that my room was on the 4th floor but the elevator only went to the 3rd floor and I'd have to walk up the stairs from the 3rd to 4th floor. Supposedly, this room was the only one available. I was annoyed that I was not notified ahead of check in that the elevator was not fully working and that I may have to carry my luggage (and pets that I brought with me) up stairs.

I went to the front desk to ask for towels and washcloths, which were not in the room and was told they would have to see what was available. Not only was I disturbing the gentleman’s phone call but he was reluctant to be of assistance. I received three towels no washcloths or small hand towels. Our room door also would not close completely. We had to use a chair to secure the door. Also, upon arrival there was dirt on the toilet seat as well as in the sink. Bed linen was also dirty. I ended up going to purchase bed linen to use. Also, the gym and laundry facilities were out of service during our stay. I inquired about the guest laundry facilities and he says yes, we have them, but they’re not working. Probably not a place to stay the noise level all night long was ridiculous. I called the front desk to see if it could be resolved and they told me there’s nothing they could do about it. It was absolutely ridiculous Yelling, screaming, running banging on door and loud music.

I got about 50 FLEAS bites

The AC unit made a high pitched noise that killed my nerves. What was worse was that the noise continued even after i turn off the unit! It was a torture staying one night in that room.

Stayed here for the capital Jazz festival and we usually have no issues with la Quinta but this year our room was infested with ants !!! We called the fro t desk and they bought up a bottle of ant spray to our room which had an awfully strong smell . It worked to keep the ants away temporarily but the next night we had the same issue . I was really displeased with the hotel for not giving us another room.

While we were out…house cleaning came in & took away the used towels. However, failed to give fresh new towels. This is NOT someplace I would stay in again.

Hotel has depreciated quite a bit. NO clean towels. Breakfast was late opening. I requested and asked for a room to accommodate disability and NONE was available bc they weren’t cleaned on time. Weeds smell came through air vent. Truck drivers paredise.

The breakfast was very poor. There was barely no food with days old bacon. The rooms were ohkay though. The elevator for the forth floor is broken.

The management was useless they did not control the kids running in the halls and screaming until 2:30 am. Didn’t get any sleep and was the worst stay ever!

Great bed and fridge/microwave- though the fridge was set to the highest setting and everything ended up frozen. Shower had almost no water pressure and temperature was hard to adjust. Free breakfast was okay, nothing special but free is appreciated. Fitness center is nice amenity except teens were using it as a playground. Several groups of students seemed to be staying there and my room was in the middle of at least one group. Great location- very walkable- but parking is limited and the basement lot didn't feel secure since there were several smoking weed at the garage entrance to the hotel.

Employees were nice and would help with any issues that popped up. Parking can be tight to find later in the evening.

Nice place to stay couple nights

One of the worse hotels to stay at. The room smelled of cigarettes and weed, there stains all over the bed sheets and toilet seat and the Wi-Fi did not work at all. Honestly, a motel would have been a better option than stay at Laquinta. Their breakfast was one of the worse ones I’ve ever had. Watery eggs, dry sausage, and watered down orange juice. Their juice was so watered down, it tasted like water

We were on the 4th floor and on the 2nd day of our 3 day tour the elevator stop working. Its wasn't a good experience because we had a lot bags.

There wasn't coffee ready at 6:05am and I waited 10 minutes, but i had to leave because I had a specific time to be at work, and I wouldn't make it had I waited. I specifially checked to make sure there would be breakfast at 6am. Unfortunately not. all I needed was a coffee and on the go.

Overall the hotel was good. The checkin through Hotels.com was very confusing - it gave me a paid receipt, yet the front desk was asking for payment. This needs to be addressed at a corporate level. I can say, that it stopped me from using the service again, until I get my bank statement.

I was pleasantly surprised! I didnt have a great experience in a previous La Quinta in Orlando. This was actually nice, clean, and the breakfast was good. Thank you!

I thought this property was extended stay i will never stay here again dogs all over the place men peeping out you at thier door just staring constant traffic even at 4:30 am if you are looking for rest or quiet at those times this is not the place for you i always come prepared with my own cleaner there was hair in the shower before i showered and and next day house keeping was at my door before 11:00 it seem they make sure you are leaving at 11:00 not professional at all than i booked through expedia and they asked for more money when i checked in like deposit but the site never suggested a deposit or anything when i booked the room i am also going to contact the hotel cooperate and make a compliant.

Very loud guests and a heavy smell of marijuana.

However, we encountered two issues during our stay: 1. There was no blow dryer in the room. 2. The elevator was not working, so we had to carry our bags up and down from the second floor.

The first room we were in before we had to move only had one key that worked. Even after multiple tries to have a new key reprogrammed we still only had 1 key. It was impossible to get towels and the ones we were given were stained and ripped. I felt like I was rushed to check out and I was asked 5 times if I was leaving before 9:45. I typically like La Quintas however I don’t think I’ll be returning to this one.
