Our favorite way to visit New York is to stay at the Hyatt Park Place with the roof top bar overlooking lower Manhattan.

Pros: *Excellent location, despite not being on Manhattan. Beautiful waterfront with a view, steps from the PATH train into WTC station, lots of restaurants and grocery store nearby. And a park on the water for kids. Amazing sunsets every night! *Very helpful staff, between front desk, breakfast, and maintenance *Large selection for free buffet breakfast. You will find better quality food at restaurants, but it’s great to have it there. *Well equipped room and comfy bed Cons: *Does need some maintenance, but certainly not run down as some reviewers noted. There were some large pits in the flooring, staining on carpets/sofa, and general wear and tear visible. *While maybe not the case in every room, ours had very tall windows with double blackout shades (great!), however, the shades were not fit properly and did not run all the way across the width of the window, so the 2-3” vertical gap caused light to beam (both day and night from nearby buildings) right across our bed where the pillows and our faces were. This was definitely the cause of some stolen sleep over 9 nights. Would stay again, but would be on the lookout for the shades in the bedroom like this.

Alison at the front desk was amazing. She is a hard worker and she was so accommodating and helpful. She got us into our room as quickly as she could and was helpful with any questions we had throughout our stay. Great employee.

Allison's positive attitude, attention to detail, and willingness to help made a great impression on me. She handled everything efficiently and made the entire process smooth and stress-free. Excellent customer service like hers deserves recognition. Thank you, Allison, for your exceptional work! Unfortunately, I have to leave a negative review. Most aspects of this hotel were great, and I was satisfied with my stay overall. However, I had serious concerns about security. During my stay, I observed an individual on the property who appeared not to be a guest and was behaving very strangely. The next morning, I saw the same person sleeping on a bench at another nearby property. Based on what I observed, I did not feel that this individual belonged on the hotel premises, and the situation made me question the hotel's security measures. For that reason, I cannot give a higher rating despite the otherwise positive experience.

People always make the difference. From the front desk to the cleaning staff and the restaurant personnel, real people making the difference great.

Nothing. Any potential positives were completely overshadowed by the unacceptable room assignment and the atrocious customer service that followed. The hotel failed to honor our reservation and gave us the wrong room. We had multiple people in our party but were forced into a room with only one single bed. When we addressed this massive error, the customer service was horrible. Staff lied to us, dismissed our concerns, and management blatantly refused to offer any discount, room change, or fair compensation for failing to provide the accommodations we actually paid for.
- 4/5
The staff is nice, the rooms are spacious and clean We came Sunday for one night and plan to have some drinks and make some photos at the terrace, but it was not available as it was booked by “wedding” I personally think a hotel is not a place to book the terrace for private events. There is other guests also who is paying for the facilities.

This hotel covered all the usual important categories very well. Excellent location for entering lower Manhattan (on the Path). The night view is stunning of the Manhattan’s skyline.
- 5/5
Front desk staff could not have been nicer. Made each of my kids feel special. Perfect stop before continuing on to Manhattan
- 5/5
Excellent stay overall. The breakfast was very good with a nice selection, and the room was clean and comfortable. One of the best parts was the awesome view of New York. The staff was friendly and everything made for a great experience. Would definitely stay here again.

Nice general location for access to cruise pier following day. Building is odd, and it's not obvious where to find entrance Also not obvious where to park. Difficult to discern where to pull in, and then, where and how to get parked (adjacent property). Frustrating and off-putting after stressful drive into the city. Knowing what we know now, we'd just stay at the other property, with attached parking garage.

Clean large room. Nice large bathroom. Rooms have fridge which is great. The rooms are very dark with very minimal lights to turn on. Initially we were placed right outside the rail station which was not appealing but was moved when asked.
- 4/5
Location was great - you could walk to restaurants, PATH. Breakfast was convenient which is what made it attractive. Food choices were limited due to the crowds and not the lack of staff. The staff were working hard. Price was high even for Jersey City.
- 5/5
The location was superb and the room was fantastic with our view looking out to the Hudson. The staff were so friendly and accommodating. Will definitely be staying here on our next visit.

The hotel is in an excellent location. It’s clean, spacious and staffs are friendly. The only thing less perfect was some noice from the street at night that made sleep difficult. Overall we still liked the hotel very much
- 4/5
I wish they had a pool and also I wish the toilet in the back room had a more enclosed environment from the shower and sink.
- 5/5
Room was clean and hotel is right next to the train. Easy to get to Manhattan. We felt safe sitting outside at night with an amazing view! We drove in, there is a secured parking garage next door. Make sure to have the hotel validate your ticket.

Stunning views from hotel. Ideally situated for access to the 'Path' which is the 'underground' rail system to travel across to the Financial Centre. Breakfast was good . Hotel was clean and very well presented Workman who were outside taking a break having been on exterior scaffolding smoking cannabis - concerns for health and safety? and hotel users having to walk through this.

The location to NYC couldn't have been better! It was less than a block to the ferries and the trains and light rail were right out the front door. I would certainly recommend to anyone visiting NYC or Jersey City.
- 5/5

My only issue was that we found a big roach on our last night and that grossed us out. When I advised the staff they apologized and were going to be addressing the issue. Bathroom was really nice but it didn't have an exhaust and the glass door wouldn't close. It kept sliding open, so there was a lot of water all over the floor.
- 3/5
Overall good but do not use yellow cabs unless you want to get charged almost triple the amount to travel close to the hotel.
- 5/5
Amazing location with great view free breakfast... Great place to stay right next to train station to Manhattan. Absolutely lovely.
- 5/5
Nice clean and in a great location to get on the train to head into NY in under 10mins

- 5/5
La vista es una belleza,
- 3/5
The hotel would have gotten 4 stars because it was fine. However, the noise from the light rail train overnight was terrible. The convenience of it being right outside of the hotel was great but the noise made our two nights absolutely miserable.
- 5/5
Location!! It’s perfectly located near the Path Train for easy access to NYC.
- 5/5
Great stay
- 5/5
The room was really spacious with its own kitchenette. A kettle in the room would have been amazing to make tea, but I know they are not common/used in USA. Staff all super friendly and helpful and the free breakfast in the morning was a great bonus. Perfect location for the PATH train too. Would definitely use again.
- 5/5
We stayed here as a family with two preteens to go to New York City during the day and it was a great option for us. It was definitely clean, I wouldn’t call it spic and span by any means. The location is fabulous for views of the New York City skyline, as well as easy access to the metro to get into New York. There is a CVS nearby, a couple of walking blocks to get anything you might need and I never felt unsafe in this location.

Good breakfast selection while overlooking Jersey waterfront. Room was clean and easy access to rooftop restaurant.
- 5/5
The room was clean and as advertised. The breakfast was great. Staff friendly. Super convenient location if going to nyc. The mini store in lobby was very helpful to us as we were busy sightseeing and coming back late. I only gave 4/5 stars on the building due to ongoing construction. Not a big deal, but didn’t know prior. The rooftop restaurant was a nice bonus with amazing views!

Location is very convenient. Breakfast is very delicious in the nice area. We booked for four people, but the room was only prepared for two, with no additional towels provided. We requested these items at 11 p.m. but received no response or items until the following day. This lack of service caused significant discomfort.
- 5/5
We absolutely loved this hotel. Honestly it checked all of the boxes: free, delicious breakfast, close to the city/transport, clean/good staff! If you're looking to book a trip to NYC but don't want to stay in the hustle and bustle, this hotel is great since it's only about a 5 minute train to the city.
- 5/5
Easy access to New York city and liberty island. Path train station is in walking distance. View was magnificent. Rooms are upto date and breakfast was excellent. So many varieties and fresh. Highly recommend this location for anyone.
- 5/5
Perfect love it
- 4/5
The breakfast had a nice selection but the berries were frozen and not fully defrosted. The rugs on the sixth floor had a lot of stains. The gym mat was very old and the cleaning wipe dispenser was empty. The location was great but there were two people smoking pot outside the front door when we arrived so the entry reeked of pot. There were people arguing in the hallway outside our room on Saturday night after 10 pm.

Nice hotel with perfect location. Rooms are quite spacious and comfotable. Just need to be careful when reserving room on Booking.com. Hotel system does not see reservations from here. But staff was so helpfull to allocate a nice room for me. Breakfast is far from being continental. Is just a few things an coffee. Not a proper breakfast
- 5/5
The room was awesome Loved all of it
- 5/5
Great stay!
- 5/5
As usual, the room was clean and quiet. Staff were friendly and helpful. I recommend this Hyatt in Jersey City as a lower cost alternative with more spacious rooms than the hotels in Manhattan just across the river. It is one PATH stop away from the WTC station in Lower Manhattan with connections to the NYC subway.
- 4/5
The view at TR is worth taking a look!
- 5/5
Absolutely loved my stay! The room was clean and cozy. I especially appreciated the kitchenette, it made my stay so much more convenient. The location was perfect too, with everything within walking distance, which made exploring so easy. I’d happily book this room again and highly recommend it to anyone looking for a relaxing, pleasant stay.
- 5/5
The only thing missing for me was a pool, but I know that’s a personal preference. Overall, a top-notch place to stay and I’d definitely return!

It was perfect for my travel plans. Very clean and staff so welcoming and helpful.
- 4/5
The room was spacious and clean. The breakfast every day was exceptional. The staff were kind and helpful. The room wasn’t ready when we arrived an hour after check in time, which caused some delay in us being able to fully enjoy our stay. However, the staff were excellent in doing what they could to make our situation easier. The parking was confusing to figure out and the staff were also a bit confused about it. Communication from the property before arrival about how parking works and where it is located would be advised.

Absolutely nothing it’s criminally overrated. The lady at the front desk told me they’ll need my card to place a temp hold. When I look it’s a charge for 600 dollars. Mind you I booked thru the booking app. Stay far from this place.

I originally had a 2 night stay, but because of the weather, training was cut short. Since I only stayed 1 nite I should have been due money back. No. The excuse was it was prepaid. I don't give a damm, prepaid or not. Half that money should have come back to me. $290 they stole from. It's a scam. Way over priced. BEWARE!
- 5/5
Location is great for getting to and from NYC. The staff was very friendly and we felt welcomed.
- 5/5
The location is unbeatable. The PATH access right outside made getting into NYC incredibly easy and convenient. That alone made our trip stress-free. The views were beautiful, especially overlooking the water and skyline — such a great experience waking up to that. Breakfast each morning was a huge plus. It was convenient, well organized, and a great way to start our busy days exploring. The hotel was clean, comfortable, and very family-friendly. The staff was welcoming and professional from check-in to check-out. Thank you for helping make my son’s birthday weekend so memorable. We would absolutely stay here again!

Ideal for business travelers
- 5/5
The rooms are a bit odd for families as the shower door is glass and right next to the bed. However it comes with a kitchenette and the brunch was great but very limited seating. You have to stand guard with food in hand or grab a table and let someone else grab food while you guard your table. The rooftop was under construction when we went but we still saw the view and the atmosphere was great.
- 4/5
Good overall very good staff. Friendly. Could be better parking discount
- 5/5
The hotel was great; had a corner room so I could see New York across the water. Beautiful 10/10. Everything was clean and convenient, the rooftop restaurant/bar has good food and drinks 10/10 would recommend checking out. Overall the hotel was great would recommend staying.
- 4/5
They were very courteous and had great customer service. The first night I got there on January 28, 2026. Jackie ensured that I was taken care of to decorate the room for my partner. Also, I love the had a free buffet for breakfast. I love food lol. I really enjoyed the view where I got to see the boats, the water, everything lol. That was my favorite view.
- 2.5/5
The noise. The light rail train station is outside the hotel so all night you hear the train, bells going off, PA announcements, and rail noise. Also, it was a fight with every outlet in my room to plug anything in. It's possible they're not installed correctly.

The room was big, clean, and cozy! Just what my family needed after a long day of traveling!
- 5/5
This was a perfect stay, thank you! For a busy place, it was clean, quiet and just outside the Exchange PATH station. The room itself was nicely appointed. It’s perfect for preparing light meals or reheating takeout with the small kitchen. We stayed on the interior side, per request, and it was quiet.

Great room. Staff was quick and efficient. Breakfast was the best thing here. Perfect view of NY while you eat. Rooftop bar could use a few more small bite options.

Clean room, great location close to Path station allowing easy access into NYC. Staff at front desk really helpful in securing an additional night due to weather event that changed our travel plans.

The front desk ladies were so nice and happy and we’re always smiling on. It went up to talk to them.

Love the view of NYC skyline on the rooftop. Beautiful. We also enjoyed the breakfast buffet. I was happy with parking in the deck, which was right across from the hotel. No problems. The room was spacious and perfect for our family of 6. Easy access to PATH to WTC made it a perfect location.

Room was great and very clean!
- 3/5
Room was okay. The bed was kind of dirty but other than that it was fine.
- 5/5
Room was excellent and staff very nice.
- 2/5
The service from the staff was great but the hotel itself needs a cleaning. Our room was disgusting, with rolls of hair all throughout the floor and furniture. Not sure how rolls of hair can even get up to the TV furniture and computer desk. The toilet seat was broken. Room 208 sits right in front of the lobby 2nd floor so you can hear all of the commotion from the people coming in and out. The hotel has nice views especially at the rooftop bar. Its just the hotel hallways and common areas look and smell dirty. This Hyatt hotel has potential but only if they had the proper maintenance.

Very bad customer service

Check in staff had wrong information on restaurant info and room was clean but there was a horrible roaring vibration in our room about every 30 mins

everything was perfect. everything
- 3/5
Room was ok. It was only made up once during our 4 day stay. It was definitely a good hotel for accessibility. Noise wise, it’s terrible as there’s a cart train that comes by every 10 minutes and it’s super loud for when you’re trying to sleep. Other than that. It was a good stay

A heavier blanket is needed for the pull out sofa. My daughter was so cold that she couldn’t sleep. Also, the pullout mattress was awful— the springs were bad.
- 4/5
It was very cold in the room
- 5/5
Good service, room was pleasant and clean. Good breakfast and excellent view but rooftop restaurant was awful service and and tried to deny me my reservation claiming I was not listed until I showed proof of reservation and paid in advance, the lady at the from all of sudden pretended to find my name. I personally felt it was due to the color of my skin. We are not fooling anybody. Waitress also tried to sneak an additional $130 on my bill until I brought it up it was taken off as a mistake. So the waitress claimed but the same additional charges were added to the family sitting next to our table. So make sure to check your receipts before paying there.
- 4/5
My stay was good overall. Everything was nice, clean, and comfy. The surrounding area was beautiful and the hotel was fairly close to all of my outings while in Jersey City. I would stay here again but with a waterfront view :)
- 5/5
The room was spotless. The staff at the front desk was courteous, professional, and top-notch. The breakfast buffet was fairly decent and the view from the breakfast bar was beautiful.
- 5/5
Clean rooms , great breakfast . Fabulous views from out side pier and roof top . Only open after 4 tho . Transportation right outside the door . The path or light rail

Very clean & Staffs are wonderful!

Very nice hotel. Great location. Reasonable price.
- 4/5
Great hotel with a great free breakfast and incredible views!

Fridge not cooling properly
- 5/5
The hotel looks very nice and is well maintained. The location is great, in a beautiful area, with a train station just 2 minutes away that takes you directly to the World Trade Center. The staff is very friendly and welcoming. Rooms are spacious and comfortable. Breakfast is basic, nothing special, but it’s fine.
- 1/5
Hotels staff gave access to my room to a total stranger! Front desk is rude, charged me for water for my coffee maker in my room and they are unprofessional! Staff upstairs in TR area very rude and everything was dirty all the time! All elevators small like trash and are dirty!
- 5/5
This was a great hub to stay and travel into the city. There were great food options within walking distance and the PATH train was a one minute walk to ride into the city.
- 4/5
Breakfast OK but there was a struggle to keep items stocked throughout breakfast Room was OK but maintenance seemed to be lacking. Examples included windows leaking cold air and condensation, dishwasher trim was catching on the dishwasher drawers, blankets and sheets had a hole in some of them. Breakfast area floor was warping and there was a glass window broken which really should be fixed. Wooden trim in places was scuffed pretty bad Details could be a bit better too, asked room service if they had any white robes and they didn't which seemed strange for the price point Would I stay there again though? Definitely

This was our first stay with Hyatt. The room was clean, other than a baby sock we found in the couch. We have no babies. The bed, sheets, and towels were all fresh. The bed was a little stiff, and the pull out couch mattress was very hard. On the first night we noticed that it was a little warm in our room. We tried setting to 68, but it felt like 73 degrees. We called the desk to ask if someone could fix this and they sent someone up immediately. That person said that they could not figure out why it was warm or would not go any lower to try and cool the room down, and that was the best they could do. It just kept getting hotter because we all three had to take showers and there was no exhaust fan in the bathroom. It was hot and humid. The food offered for the complimentary breakfast had good options, but the line to get breakfast was a ridiculous wait every morning. Then when you finally got your food, there was no where to sit unless you sat at a table with other people. I have no problem sitting with other people, but given the time of year and the flu running rampant, I don't think other people appreciate that. We ended up eating in our room. Aside from this, we would stay here again. The parking garage was reasonable, the hotel validates. All of the staff we encountered were pleasant and as helpful as they could be. The hotel location is amazing if you plan on taking the PATH or the light rail. The view of New York City from the roof top is incredible.
- 5/5
View is amazing. Staff is polite and inviting. Location close to the Path is clutch. Great option to also see NYC.
- 4/5
Problem with breakfast. 6:30-9 today. Went there at 8:50, there was a long line of people waiting. At 9 they no longer served anyone. There were families with children. It was after a holiday, should have made an exception
- 3/5
The room had very poor lighting. During the breakfast there were lines of people some sitting by the reception desks etc. Other than that, the location is very convenient. Cleanliness was good.
- 4/5
I liked evth esp wow location !
- 4/5
More vegan and vegetarian breakfast options to include like steamed potatos
- 3/5
The staff was very helpful. The room did not come properly stocked. Only one coffee cup. Towels for only one person but the reservation was for two guests. The bathroom light should have a dimmer. Much too bright in the early mornings when using the restroom. The water pressure and temperature was excellent. The service on the Rooftop was extremely poor and not very customer service focused. We felt we were imposing on them.
- 5/5
if you are sensitive to sound make sure they give you a room opposite of the street as the train makes noise all night and all day.
- 3/5
The hotel needs an update and upgrade
- 5/5
Clean room, courteous staff, wonderful views, safe and convenient location. Nice Rooftop bar with amazing views! Great breakfast too.

Clean, amazing location and views. Quiet too so a good nights sleep ready for busy days walking. Transport links perfect, PATH right on the doorstep! Loved it, thank you

Breakfast was excellent, room was clean and nice, service was excellent, just one thing is that the parking lot is not part on the Hotel, I had to pay for the parking spot but other than that it was excellent.
- 5/5
Excellent
- 5/5
Welcoming staff and great location if you’re venturing around NYC. The PATH is directly opposite. The beds are good and rooms spacious. Good shower. Clean room. Worse part is slow lifts and the sensor for the cards to get the lifts to operate are fiddly.
- 5/5
Room was very big and comfortable
- 5/5
Great stay! The staff was awesome!
- 4/5
Fast check in
- 5/5
Convenient location, friendly staff, fair price!
- 5/5
Clean room, set up great, the breakfast was ok plenty to pick from. The hotel is right next door to the path. The restaurant has a great view of Manhattan......Maintenance was making noise in the room next to ours and I called front desk and they took care of it quick.....To our surprise when we returned to the room later in the evening customer care had brought us a cheese and fruit tray....
- 4/5
Staff was very polite. Rooftop was beautiful.
- 5/5
The hotel was easy to find , parking was right next-door. We first parked in front of the hotel to check in. They directed us to the parking garage. It was an easy walk back to the hotel room, easy check-in, beautiful rooftop restaurant with great food and drinks! You cannot beat the view from the rooftop restaurant!!! The skyline view of New York City is amazing from that location. Room was spacious and clean. Kitchen could come in handy for a longer stay. Buffet breakfast was good !!! There is a park and walking area right outside close to restaurants and easy access to The Holland tunnel and trains to go to NYC! I definitely will be back!!!
- 1/5
The temperature in.my room never got above 62 degrees despite hotel maintenence "fixing" it twice.
- 5/5
Great location. Breakfast was plentiful. Big rooms.

Rooms gorgeous, spacious and clean. Great location for transport links to New York The brrakfast was the only dissapointing thing otherwise everything else 5star

So convenient super close to subway!

All was well, except that the lobby area was always loud and one of the elevators did not work.
- 5/5
Room nice, staff very friendly, good breakfast great location
- 4/5
good value for the location although parts of the hotel looked a little tatty. The top floor lounge was excellent
- 5/5
The engineer did great job
- 4/5
We didnt know we wouldnt receive room service if we didnt request it. Also, breakfast ends too early on weekends at 10am and 9am weekdays.
- 5/5
I would definitely stay here again!

Beautiful hotel! Nice views! Staff are very accommodating.
- 4/5
The room was very clean and spacious. The bed and pillows were very comfortable.
- 5/5
Clean room and friendly helpful staff.
- 4/5
I enjoyed everything except the fact there was only one elevator working and the wait time for the elevator was not good
- 5/5
Great room and great hotel environment. Great rooftop bar with a nice view which wasn't too busy. Staff were happy to help with all my questions and I never came across any issues with my stay.
- 5/5
Everyone was amazing
- 5/5
This hotel is beautiful, the atmosphere around the hotel as well. I enjoyed my stay, loved the room. The only thing I would have to say is that breakfast could have been a lot better, with a lot more selections. Other than that this was a great pick. I would definitely visit again.
- 4/5
Everything was amazing , my issue was rooftop service at restaurant was lackluster.
- 5/5
Great location, awesome breakfast view and great staff
- 5/5

Friendly professional front desk
- 3/5
Water flow very low. Difficult to get to right warmth when showing. Very little common area in lobby. One staff member not nice.
- 4/5
Great location
- 2/5
Stayed on 11th floor and loud music from 10 pm to 2 am prevented from getting any sleep.
- 4/5
The small suite was nice with a separate sitting area and kitchen. It averaged about $450 per night over the 9 nights I was there. That’s not cheap but it’s that pricey because it’s right at a PATH train stop only 8 minutes into Manhattan. There is no lobby. None. Nowhere to sit down there. However, they have a rooftop bar and deck with great views. The only problem I faced was low water pressure with difficult to dial in temperatures. The shower is weak so takes extra time. The Jersey City water front is great as it’s close to Manhattan without the congestion and noisy aggravation.
- 4/5
Overall, my stay was good, but one area for improvement would be the maintenance of the facilities. Over the years, the hotel looks somewhat worn and heavily used, so a renovation or update would greatly enhance the experience.
- 5/5
Very Nice and Great View of NY Skyline
- 5/5
It was awesome
- 5/5
Highly recomended.
- 5/5
Loved our room, huge bathroom, walk in shower. Very comfortable.
- 4/5
Clean spacious room, bathroom and comfortable beds but the breakfast menu could do with an upgrade, especially since hotel is for extended stays, same limited food options every day quality of which is not great. Front desk staff guest etiquette also could be better. Noisy events sometimes hosted outside and rooftop events means you can’t dine there. Terrace restaurant not operational. Otherwise good hotel and stay if you’re fairly self sufficient.
- 1/5
on top of the cupboards was layers of dust . Wife got allergic ..
- 5/5
It was Insanely Beautiful and Worth Every Cent!!!!
- 5/5
Great location and friendly staff.
- 4/5
Really disappointed that we were not able to use the rooftop on our last night, due to a wedding being booked. Shame this wasn’t mentioned when we booked the trip as it must have been known? The Hotel is almost in need of a bit of a face lift in some areas. The blind in our room was frayed at the edges, some bathroom units were damaged and a broken fitting on the shower controls. The iron and ironing board were pretty poor, the ironing board was so flimsy it fell over when you applied any pressure. From the lift to our room the carpet had a few stains. None of the above ruined the trip by any means, just needs a bit of attention as the trip wasn’t cheap. Staff were amazing in all areas, the breakfast did the job. Would have no problem staying here again, pretty minor issues mentioned but would be perfect if these were addressed.

Super nice. Staff friendly. Restaurant on the top floor, great vibes and food

We’ve stayed at this hotel several times and always had a great experience. Thos time, however, the room we stayed in (539) has some kind of mechanical pump that was going on and off from the early hours of the morning. It was extremely noisy and disturbed our sleep. There was also a strong smell of marijuana all along the corridor, more concentrated to the end of the corridor where our room was. I mentioned it to the lady at the front desk and she said it must have been coming from outside. There’s no way it was that strong coming from outside. I hope they investigated and fined whomever it was, smoking in the hotel. Breakfast, which is usually pretty good, was disappointing. The sausages were stone cold and there was a long wait for plates and cutlery. It looked like they were very short staffed and the few that were on, couldn’t keep up. Overall, a little disappointed, given our previous great experiences.

We were so impressed with this property. It was clean, safe, and a great location. We brought our dogs and the property was very accommodating. 10/10
- 2/5
This place is so hard to get; we wasted about an hour just to be able to find out were to park; and then they even charged the parking. No validation. they did validated but it did not worked; by the time you want to go back is just a waste of your time.
- 5/5
We had a great stay. The complimentary breakfast is served on the top floor with beautiful views of the nyc skyline.

We stayed at the Hyatt House and while the location was really cool and convenient, the room itself fell short of expectations. We booked a king suite with a pull-out couch, but the pull-out was not comfortable at all and definitely not suited for sleeping. To make matters worse, there were no extra blankets provided. The overall cleanliness of the room also left something to be desired. For the price, I expected more attention to comfort and detail.
- 2/5
Breakfast is always the same with very little variation. Eating 6 days the same is justice not worth 4star hotel. Also never had to clean my table
- 2/5
The Good: - Fast Check In. It took all of 3 mins to get us checked into our room. The gentleman was nice and courteous and answered all of our questions with a smile. - Parking: convenient parking available across the street at $27/night rate - Facilities: Although we did not use the gym, laundry or business center, they seemed clean and in good working order. - Location: Being right next to the Path station at Exchange Place is great and very convenient for getting into lower Manhattan. The Bad: - Our room key card would not work for our door. And we had to wait for over 30 mins for an engineer to fix it. - Breakfast: The quality of the breakfast went down considerably compared to last time we went. The scrambled eggs were hard, the fresh fruit was anything but fresh, the bakery seemed stale. - Room: The room was dirty and we found multiple areas where there was hair, stains on furniture and carpet, previous tenants’ personal hygiene supplies left behind. I hope the decline in quality is due to a busy weekend since this was a disappointment for us. We are considering changing hotels the next time we come visit NYC and Jersey.

For the price of this hotel I am definitely disappointed. I had house keeping once while I was there for 6 nights. I was spoken to very rudely by a man working in the restaurant. I was never able to go to the restaurant but i definitely think there should be some kind of priority for those staying in the hotel. The website wasn’t working for room service which messed up some nights when I didn’t wanna leave the hotel. Unfortunately one of the elevators was broken the whole time which left me waiting for 15 minutes at some points to get to breakfast or to get down to the lobby. I think for such an expensive and prestigious company I was definitely let down by the Hyatt house jersey city.
- 5/5
Great location
- 5/5
The staff were accommodating. The hotel was clean. Room was comfortable. The breakfast buffet had everything and the food was decent.
- 5/5
Loved everything about this hotel except for train right outside our window! Hopefully next time will have a more quieter room!
- 5/5
very safe and relax area
- 5/5
The rooftop was amazing with beautiful views of NYC
- 4/5
The view of the city was wonderful.
- 5/5
Great views of NYC skyline from the rooftop bar & easy access to the city by train or ferry. Hotel offers nice breakfasts with a view. Jersey City also has a great board walk, good selection of restaurants and nice vibe.
- 5/5
The staff was very friendly. Amazing property right by the water. Such beautiful views of New York as well. The only complaint would be the room had a tiny bit of stinch like indian food was hiding somewhere.
- 4/5
Convenient location for sight seeing! Parking was difficult to find, but right across from the hotel. Rooms were excellent! Rooftop bar was convenient and beautiful!I would recommend!
- 1/5
Frequent trespassers—I've personally witnessed police escorting them out on multiple occasions.
- 5/5
The Hyatt House Jersey City is amazing, nothing is too much trouble, all staff were really helpful
- 5/5
Gorgeous hotel, amazing location and wonderful staff!
- 3/5
Breakfast not good.
- 3/5
It is in a handsome old building, but there are not enough elevators. It is a talll building with many rooms and there is a rooftop bar/party venue. At any given time there might be 8 - 20 people waiting to use one of the 3 elevators. We decided not to wait for the elevator upon check-in, and had to carry our bags up several flights of stairs. The suite is well laid out and the bed and pillow in the bedroom were fine, but the sofabed mattress was so thin and lumpy that our son could not sleep on it - he just slept on the couch itself. The breakfast buffet was standard - many items but not of the best quality. However, the coffee was like dishwater. Most people these days are used to good coffee and it was very disappointing not to have it. I preferred to make coffee in our room using both packets to make one cup. We will not be returning to Hyatt House.
- 4/5
Parking was too expensive
- 4/5
We loved the waterfront setting. Parking was a bit tricky due to an event happening that created road closures. Overall, the location was great, with easy access to the PATH to go in and out of NYC. We will definitely stay again and request a room with a view of the water!
- 5/5
Planning on visiting NYC without a headache, stay here and ferry over. This hotel checks off the boxes; located by the ferry terminal, cleanliness, friendly staff, great parking, free breakfast, and a great view of NYC from the beginning hotel room.
- 5/5
Close to train to New York City Access very easy
- 5/5
hotel was very clean, quiet, in a nice area with cute coffee shops and right across the plaza from the PATH, very easy to get into the city. Parking garage was a bit hard to find, not in the same building as the hotel, had to pull onto the street to park and go inside to ask the front desk but once you see it and find it is easy to park and very close to the hotel. Rooftop bar was AMAZING, great service and incredible views. The Hotel is right across the water from One World Tower , great view of the city. Definitely would come back.
- 4/5
Great position, fabulous view, loved our room. Lifts were awful and need work. Spent a long time waiting for lifts several times a day.
- 5/5
The room was spaciest and very clean.
- 5/5
Overall it is a very good place to stay. The only shortcoming was that one of the elevators was not working during the stay. It caused difficulty for getting in and out, and for breakfast.
- 5/5
I barely stayed for one night but it was super nice. I had breakfast and it was great. The room was great and had availability even the night I checked in and let me check in being under 21. The internet was super good and it was easy getting picked up and dropped off by a uber. Also the view is amazing, it’s right on the Pier of the Hudson River.
- 5/5
Excellent customer service and hospitality!
- 5/5
Nice and clean rooms
- 4/5
Parking sucks
- 5/5
Great place to say with a beautiful city view. Professional and knowledgeable staff.
- 5/5
This was a perfect place for my family to stay for our trip to NYC. With easy access to the PATH system, we were in the city within a few minutes. The area around the hotel is clean with beautiful views of the skyline. The hotel was clean, quiet and the staff were friendly and helpful.
- 2/5
I was here 3 days on business and the check in area is tiny and not well marked. There is nobody to help you with your luggage or any luggage carts to borrow to take your bags to the room. They said there was valet parking but that is only for the other Hyatt which sits atop this one. I got a print out and my key. My room smelled like take out food and unless you call the desk they don't clean your room the first nigh. Great location and view but horrible bait and switch with the Hyatt Regency above. A
- 5/5
This hotel is in a great location with the light rail at your doorstep. The PATH is also nextdoor with easy access to NY. The view from the rooftop is spectacular! We enjoyed our stay.
- 4/5
Only complain was the glass washroom door which was not very opaque. Lacked visual n sound privacy.
- 5/5
Room needed some attention
- 5/5
Great location, amazing views, good breakfast & nice room.
- 1/5
Bomb threat occurred and we had to sleep somewhere else for the last night. They only comped me 50 bucks for the inconvenience.
- 5/5
One of the best hotels I’ve ever been to. And I travel every week.
- 4/5
Very nice place to stay with easy access to transportation to NYC andnice night views if the city. Only complaunt was room was too hot and thermostat didnt control AC
- 5/5
Nice
- 5/5
I will definitely recommend if you’re visiting NYC.
- 5/5
Great location
- 4/5
- 5/5
The hotel was very nice and comfortable for my anniversary with my girlfriend. I'd gladly book another weekend here anytime
- 5/5
Beautiful hotel. The breakfast was delicious, the staff friendly and helpful, the facility nice and clean. Great location! The rooftop bar is fun with a stunning view of Manhattan.
- 4/5
Great location from transportation point of view.
- 5/5
This property was beautiful inside & outsider. The view is immaculate. It is right on the Hudson River.
- 5/5
I just did not like the glass door between bathroom and bedroom. The rest it was perfect!
- 5/5
Great location with PATH nearby. Also great rooftop breakfast and large spacious rooms
- 5/5
All great
- 5/5
We stay here every time we come to the city!

- 1/5
It is not family friendly. Parking was in a location that felt very unsafe. The rooftop was something we wanted to see but it was always locked and never accessible. Utensils for breakfast smelled terrible not cleaned properly. The staff was not helpful. I would never stay in a place ever again. I would not recommend this hotel at all.
- 5/5
The style of the hotel (an old bank) was so cool! I didn’t even realize it was right on the water, with a gorgeous view of NYC! It had a little park for kiddos in front and a 2 minute walk to the Path train into NYC. I always felt safe (even at midnight-2am) sitting outside or walking around JC. The staff was AMAZING! So helpful and friendly!! And breakfast was delicious! I just wish I had gone to the rooftop bar.
- 5/5
Great location. Views of the Hudson River, and right next to the path exchange place
- 4/5
I love the rooftop vibe, however, the food options are limited and pricy for the size, plus it took 45 minutes to get a burger, salmon, and some wings
- 4/5
Very nice check in, room had broken lamps & a hair in the shower. Very difficult to get an uber or Lyft, you have to walk to a different location which can be confusing. I love the location but wish they would update for the prices. Could be awesome with some updates to furniture.
- 5/5
Beautiful view of the city. I always appreciate a full complementary breakfast!

Staff was very helpful, room was comfortable, yet a little expensive.
- 5/5
We were there for July 4th weekend. Staff was very friendly and helpful. Great stay.
- 3/5
1. The food selection was extremely limited—more like what you'd expect at a small, outdated inn. 2. There was no service at all—you had to clear your own table just to find a place to sit, and no staff was available to take any additional orders. 3. I’ve never seen so many people packed into a breakfast area; there were long lines and the cafeteria was loud and chaotic. 4. Most frustrating of all, breakfast ended at 9 a.m., so we missed it several times. On top of that, the hotel is right next to the subway (not the PATH), so you constantly hear trains coming and going. To make matters worse, the hotel shares elevators with a rooftop restaurant, meaning you'll often find yourself riding with random non-guests. Overall, the experience left a lot to be desired.

Best choice if you want to stay close to Manhattan, although some noise can come in from the tram station if your room is facing to that direction - in that case earplug is a must. Nice, clean hotel with very good location, terrible breakfast

They changed our room to one that was on level 2 and outside was the tram stop - which has dinging trams for most of the night. Told we could not change as they sold our rooms. No offer of compensation or anything available. Only service the rooms every second day and when we asked the cleaners they told us we would have to follow up with front desk the next day (when we were due to check out). They were kind and at least gave us clean towels. They did a pretty good job cleaning too. Was also disappointed to only find out the rooftop bar was booked out when we got there, given one of the reasons we booked was for the rooftop. If that’s your reason for choosing, then choose somewhere else! Beds were comfortable, if we had managed a bit more sleep!

Great experience and paying the extra money was worth it for the view rooms. The subway was only $2.90 and was right there to get into NYC. The ferry near the hotel is a bit expensive at $46 per person but overall was a great experience!
