This was not allowed when we checked into this location! My only option was to give them a CC with my name on it or my husband would have to come in and all information would have to be changed into to his name. The employee made it clear how inconvenient it was for him to change everything. When I asked for the extra bedding and towels he failed to give it all to me. Had to make an extra trip to the front desk for the sheets, only received one and again acted annoyed that I asked for the other one!

It was a great surrounding environment and not too far from New York City. A good middle ground for accessing the city without being directly there.

I paid $1118.31 for a 3 day stay. The room was crap, the pull out sofa beds mattress springs were sticking out. There was no coffee maker/coffee and tea in the room. The safe was locked, I asked the hotel staff to open it so I can put my belongings and the Indian staff member did not help or open the safe. There was no complimentary water in the room. Basically the hotel is run by very cheap management to over charge customers and not provide good service or value for your buck

Bad location, on the side of a highway you can only reach by car. Can't walk anywhere either, so you have to drive or order an uber to safely get anywhere.

Suitable for travelers with cars, parking is free, and the nearest path is about a 15-minute drive away. Aside from the railway track behind, which causes some noise from passing trains, and the shower water pressure being a bit low, everything is great.

Our very late check in was exactly what we needed. The hotel is just along the train tracks - didn't know this, but it wasn't too noisy.

The hotel the rooms were excellent if you’re looking to go into New York for the day the location is terrible. It is on a very very busy street with not very good sidewalks getting to downtown Hoboken or New York City is not easy from this location.

The rooms are exceptionally spacious for the price, offering strong value. The staff were courteous and professional throughout my stay. I was particularly impressed when I accidentally left my wallet at check-out; upon returning, I found it safely secured with all my belongings intact. My stay here was absolutely delightful. The front desk staff is very friendly and helpful. The breakfast was light but still delicious and fulfilling. The property looks and smells clean through and through. I literally had no complaints. I appreciate the staff for taking care of me and my kids and honoring our request in a timely manner. In the event I have to visit Jersey again, I will definitely choke to stay here!

The hotel was as clean, comfortable, and friendly as any HIE anywhere. No offense, but it was a real surprise for Jersey City. I would definitely stay there again. And so close to the Lincoln Tunnel.

There are RR tracks behind the hotel and we heard the train horns twice during the night. Not a big deal.

Nothing stood out as something that I didn't like.

During our stay, we had an issue with our toilet. It would not flush and we had to jiggle the handle. Also, someone else was assigned our room during our stay. They walked in on us while my family was in the room.

The gym seemed fairly clean. It offered what I needed. Not crowded. I pretty much had it to myself. The view of the train track was pretty cool! The pillows and bed was comfortable after getting used to the cold sweaty sheets. It was in a good location. Staff wasn't overly friendly or helpful. I was not asked if there was a floor that I preferred so I was placed on the 6th floor. I asked if there was an Exxon gas station near the hotel and the staff did not know what I was talking about. Turns out there was one about a quarter mile down on the opposite side of the street. Upon entry, the hotel did not smell or look clean. The stairwells are not clean. The floor is extremely sticky. Someone even had what looked like funeral flowers left behind in the stairwell. People were coming to breakfast in their pajamas. The food wasn't good according to my family. I only had an egg omelet which probably tasted better when its freshly made. The room was cold upon entry. I tried to turn down the thermostat and even turn it off and it stayed on all night. The sheets were so cold and even felt wet. It was yucky like someone had sweated in the sheets. I reserved the room for 4 people but only received 3 sets of bathroom towels. The tub was extremely slippery. Overall, I am not pleased with my stay and most likely will not return to a IGH hotel. The turn to leave the hotel was hard due to it being on a busy road.

There was running upstairs all morning. Not sure the hotel could do anything about this. It's Jersey City - the place was in an industrial area. Not walkable, but I wasn't expecting that for a simple one night stay.

I wasn’t a fan of the breakfast but I enjoyed being able to have coffee every morning not bad just not to my liking!

It was perfect accommodation for a last minute reservation.

The shower was amazing, it was actually a hot shower!! The lobby and my room were very clean. You also can't hear any of the city noises once you are inside. The road it's located on but thats unavoidable.

This hotel doesn’t have a pool but that wasn’t a miss for my family. I had a small issue with my toilet flushing and not filling back up and they got maintenance on it right away. Over all good stay for my first time in New Jersey (I’m from Chicago). Would stay here again. Basic hotel . May not have all the whistles but it has bells. I would say 7/10

Amazing we stayed for 5 nights and the stuff were amazing and we had housekeeping everyday! Plus the breakfast is excellent the lady in the breakfast area always smiling and making sure all the breakfast is ready and warm! And the laundry in the hotel is a bombastic as we don’t want to bring dirty clothes home! Will definitely go back there again and stay hope this summer

The beds are horrible. I wasn't able to sleep the whole night because of back pain, and how uncomfortable they were. Also, there is no hot water in the morning. I had to take a cold shower because too many people were showering at the same time, as per the concierge

The hotel is in s terrible location but its a decent hotel. The room was clean and the bathroom had hot water versus lukewarm. What annoyed me the most was how we were denied access to extra pillows. It made no sense to be stingy with pillows but they are. The staff that I communicated with informed me that that what you get should be sufficient and that it was their policy not to provide extras. The pillows are cheap and flat, and though there were four on each bed, we had a room with a pullout sofa and needed additional ones and were told no. It was ridiculous. Also, not a great hotel to stay in if you're trying to easily access NYC as they have no shuttle bus. Wasn't terrible but I would not likely return their with my family.

Desk attendant was RUDE, we had to wait for our room to be available AFTER check in time promised. They messed up our reservation and charged us for a night we weren’t there, and then tried to overcharge us for the night we were going to stay there and then claimed they didn’t have our second night booked.

The room was great! Breakfast was great! Staff were great! Down side: No pool. The Fitness Centre was under renovation so unfortunately I was unable to use this for the 5 days I stayed here. It looks like they have Life Fitness gym equipment which is ok but Technogym equipment would be much better! I had to walk the streets to get cardio and I would personally not recommend guests walk the streets in this neighbourhood. There was a lot of broken glass, crushed alcohol bottles and cigarette butts on the sidewalk, plus other litter. I also noticed a few dangling electricity wires hanging from the hydro lines. Everything was fenced/gated with bars on windows. The locals I spoke with warned me there are a lot of street workers in the area. If you are staying here, stay in the hotel and drive to wherever else you are planning to visit while in town. I walked the streets but not recommending others do so.

Upon check in (Sun. evening), we showered but there was no bodywash or shampoo. We were only staying two days. The front desk was busy So we had them replace them the next evening (as we already showered). We then ran out of handsoap the morning of our check out. Since we went down for breakfast at 6:30 am, I thought they could just go replace it. No, they do not have access to supplies nor do they have any alternatives. So you have to wait for housekeeping to arrive at 10 or 11 which is check out time. Management does not seem to care as they said it happens a lot but nothing changes.

Just what I needed

The hotel is clean and it was close to my location in NY.

They have been withholding my deposit for over a week now , and when I called to try and find out what’s going on Lisa the front desk associate claimed they already sent it back to my account. But upon checking with my bank there is no actual record of me receiving my deposit back. Lisa then hung up the phone on me when I informed her of that, she also refused to transfer me to a manager. And lastly lied and said she emailed me a receipt but I never received a email. I completely do not recommend this place. They will scam you and keep your deposit.

The room I got smelled of chemicals and paint residue everywhere. I got sick after sleeping one night. The ceiling was leaking water. This hotel does not meet the holiday inn standard. Stay away.

The hotel staff was very sweet and very accommodating. Wasn’t expecting the train track and industrial park behind the hotel. But it was located in between New York City and where I needed to go to see family. So the location was very convenient. The only issue I had, was that my 76-year-old mother got trapped in the elevator between floors for 30 minutes screaming for help. I was in the shower and didn’t know, my brother was asleep. Luckily another hotel guest heard her and contacted the staff. But by then She was completely panicked. All we got was a bottle of water an a sorry.

The reason why we chose this hotel is because we wanted to be as close as possible to NYC without actually staying in NYC. Lower Manhattan is approximately 6 miles away and you get there driving through the Holland Tunnel. The greatest feature of this hotel was the easy and free onsite parking. We used Uber for our sightseeing in NYC which ranged from $40-$60 depending on traffic, which is constant. This hotel has everything you need ... comfortable rooms, okay shower pressure, typical free breakfast, and friendly staff. The outside area seems to be safe but isn't as inviting from the looks of it. We did not venture out on foot beyond the hotel grounds. Thank you to the staff for letting us leave our car on your parking lot on our departure day . We checked out of our room to do an excursion, returned back early afternoon, grabbed our car, and proceeded to our next sightseeing location.

Nice stay

Had a medical emergency and had to drive back home. Unwilling to change my reservation to next week when I’m back.
