    Very good location even if overpriced After we checked out, someone else’s breakfast bill for the final morning was added to our room charges and billed to our credit card. With some difficulty, I reached the front desk by phone to point this out and request removal of the charge. They said they would look into it. But I never heard anything more from them, and with some annoyance just paid the extra $80 myself for a hotel breakfast we didn’t have. Over a month has passed since we stayed there and it wasn’t worth the hassle to get our $80 back. The whole experience reinforces why I try to avoid chain hotels when traveling.

    Checked in room and tried to move the pocket from the sink to the shower and it was sticking but got it closed. After shower I had a heck of a time trying to open it. As I am soaking wet and the towels are in the next room under the sink. Ridiculous!!! I complained and they fixed it. That night the air conditioner was broken. Very hot in the room. Next day they fixed it unfortunately when I got out of bed the morning of I noticed blood stain mark where my ankles would be at the bottom of the bed !!! Totally gross. I spoke to the manager and she said thanks for telling me your next stay will be better. She did not offer any discount or points nothing. Of course I didn’t ask. I wanted to see if she would do anything. NOPE!!! The rooms are $500 including taxes and certainly not worth the $ or aggravation. Please do better

    Excellent Location: The hotel’s location is highly convenient and easily accessible. Cons: Room and Hallway Cleanliness: Upon checking in, I noticed the room’s cleanliness was not up to standard. Because I practice yoga on the floor, it was highly apparent that the floors had been neglected. There was a buildup of dust under the beds, along the baseboards, and around the edges of the furniture, as well as food particles under the desk. The hallways suffered from the same lack of attention, with visible debris (paper, paint chips, etc.) left uncleaned throughout my entire 8-night stay, despite bringing it to the front desk's attention. Malfunctioning AC: The room's air conditioning could not be turned off via the thermostat, even when set to "OFF." Maintenance eventually had to climb into the bathroom ceiling access panel to manually cut the power to the unit. Poor Sound Insulation & Front Desk Policy: The sound insulation between floors is weak. On one evening around 11:00 PM, children in the room above were jumping and running loudly. When I contacted the front desk, I was told the hotel could not intervene with noise complaints until midnight. They assured me the guests were checking out the next day, so we endured the noise. However, the exact same disruption occurred the following night, at which point we had to insist on moving to a different room.

    We were flying internationally out of EWR and this was the perfect spot to stay for a couple of days before our trip. Staff was friendly, restaurant was great and the room was clean, quiet, comfortable and had many small touches that were nice.

    A bit more upscale stay. Perfect location. Great lounge. Nice to have a restaurant on premise with room service. My only con, they raise prices during peak season and do not honor those that frequent the hotel all year round with a discount.

    I really enjoyed my stay here. The lobby area is comfy, the rooms are nice and clean. Beds were very comfortable. I usually have trouble sleeping in hotels but I slept like a rock here. It’s also very close to the path station if you want to get to NYC easily. I will most likely stay here again if I come back to the area.

    Good size room with seperate dressing area and large walk in shower,. Comfortable large bed and excellent, quiet air conditioning. Large open foyer with comfortable seating area. Very good location. Facilities are limited and lay out of bar and breakfast area a little odd - the bar is shoe horned into a corner and there is limited furniture in the lounge. Very expensive for this standard of hotel and very disappointed to have additional taxes added when the booking said the price included taxes

    Location was perfect. Path station was very close and it was very easy to go to Manhattan. There was a car parking nearby. The room was large and new. Overall it is a very good hotel. The room could be cleaner, it needed a deep cleaning, especially the carpet under the bed was very dusty. And the towels were very old they were ripping apart.

    Excellent location and adjacent to the PATH restaurants, a drugstore and take out grocer. Nice facility, very quiet, great staff, very clean and comfortable. The restaurant and grill are open to the reception and cocktail area however and there is not enough ventilation over the grill to avoid the food odors to take over the lobby. Just need a better system over the grill.

    Nice hotel, clean, contemporary. Close to transportation into NYC. A really nice option if you have to work in the city and need a place to stay that doesn’t go over your business budget for hotels, as hotel rooms in NYC can be extremely expensive. The only issue was that the air con in the room was super loud! I ended up just turning it off, but had it been very cold or hot, it would have been annoying to listen to that while trying to sleep in the room.

    Do not purchase complimentary breakfast from this hotel. It took me 30 mins to place an order and waited another 30 mins until the food to be served. The hotel doesn't mention anything about breakfast on their website, so I believed what people have posted online, buffet style breakfast. No, they do not have buffet style breakfast. Restaurant is run separately and I had only 4 options to choose out of the menu, and omelet was not included. When I complained about it to the hotel, they only said that I received outdated information. I was treated like I was getting a free meal, even though I paid for it in advance, and some of the food quality was awful. This hotel doesn't put any effort to accommodate customers comfortably. There weren't enough towels in the room and the temperature of the refrigerator was off, so my water bottles were all frozen in the morning. I asked for a rollaway bed, but they didn't provide any beddings with it. Everything I had to call and ask- not very thoughtful. Garage parking, you pay the full price. They do not offer a voucher or discount. Valet, one is standing there at the gate. On the weekend, the Path runs on a modified schedule, so it takes long time to come back from New York. Path is a lot slower than New York subways.

    Very easy location to catch PATH into the city. Hotel is beautifully decorated and clean. I thought the breakfast offerings for pre-paid breakfast were very meager, and service was slow. Also worthy to note- the toilet is enclosed in a separate space with the glass shower, so sharing the room with our 2 young adult children was a little tricky.     Very easy location to catch PATH into the city. Hotel is beautifully decorated and clean. I thought the breakfast offerings for pre-paid breakfast were very meager, and service was slow. Also worthy to note- the toilet is enclosed in a separate space with the glass shower, so sharing the room with our 2 young adult children was a little tricky. A curtain or frosted door would have made things easier. Otherwise we had a nice stay!

    This hotel was located in a good area. Close to the path train that took us to NYC within minutes. Food was great. Beds were comfortable. Loved the feature of the key being on my phone so I never lost it. The management checked in on me daily which was great. Only thing I can say that was bad was the random 5 am fire alarm, otherwise everything was great. Definitely would stay here again.

    My husband and I stayed here for Thanksgiving while we were visiting my daughter. We had a wonderful stay. The check-in process was seamless and the agents were helpful and friendly . We had a king sized bedroom that was quite spacious and certainly big enough for two. The bed was comfortable. I am an insomniac but I slept so well while there it was unbelievable . The black out shades were very helpful . My only complaint is that the Nespresso maker was hard to use and not a well designed model. Overall though 9t was just perfect.

    The staff was courteous and welcoming. Even though I arrived late after check-in, I had no issues. They even offered to help me find a meal late at night, which I really appreciated. The accommodations were not only aesthetically pleasing but also very comfortable—the bed especially made for a restful night. I only wish I could have stayed longer to enjoy more of the amenities. I’m already looking forward to a future stay!

    The amenities of the hotel were immaculate, the food at the cafe was delicious, and the room itself was perfect for our little family. Amazing location, very walkable and the Grove St. PATH was right outside of our door, which made life so much easier for our commute into NYC each day. We have already decided the next time we do a NJ/NYC trip (which we do often since I am a NJ native) we will happily stay here again!

    I chose this hotel due to the brand Hilton. But obviously this hotel is nothing alike Hilton. Poor facilities and service is not professional. I ever stayed at Canopy in Portland and Canopy in Jersey City. Very unpleasant experience for both of the stays. I will never stay with Canopy.

    I attended an early Fourth of July event at the Statue of Liberty, held at Liberty State Park, and staying at this hotel made it very convenient. After the event, I requested a late checkout, and they kindly allowed me to stay until 1 PM. This extra time gave me the opportunity to rest and freshen up before heading back to Brooklyn.     First the fire alarm went off several times and i evacuated the room which was very unpleasant after walking all day for the pokemon gofest 2025. They messed up my room service order & still delivered it anyways(not the way I ordered it and was charged extra for cheese and bacon which I didn’t recieve) and it was cold,I would have rather ate off property considering the prices charged.the ac didn’t seem to work unless manually turned up in the middle of the night so I’d goto sleep cold and wake up hot around 1 am needing to turn the ac back on. Other than that the staff was friendly the building and rooms were very clean.

    This hotel in downtown Jersey City was fabulous. I was in town for the Beyonce concert. Beautiful rooms and friendly and helpful staff. They allowed me to check in early because my flight was changed to an early morning flight. Everything is walkable, clean, and safe. The PATH station is a block away. Amazing bartenders at the hotel bar. I highly recommend this hotel.

    Before arrival, Hilton only prompted me to download the Hilton Honors app for a “convenient” digital check-in. After doing so, I was still required to check in at the front desk. What’s the point? Arriving at 5 PM, there was no clear signage for check-in. The entrance is separate from the lobby, which was overcrowded. I had to park a long distance away, drag my luggage to the elevator, and figure out the check-in process myself. Despite arriving after the 3 PM check-in time, my room still wasn’t ready. We missed the bridal meet-and-greet because we waited 30 minutes for the room. I had to haul my luggage with no assistance, and wasn’t given directions to my room. The room was poorly cleaned, the A/C was loud, and the pillows were uncomfortable. I asked for the room to be cleaned while I was out from 10 AM to 5 PM—it wasn’t. Housekeeping interrupted me twice at 5:30 while I was getting ready for the wedding. This isn’t what I expect from Hilton, especially at these rates. I’d like to know how Expedia plans to make this right.

    The bed felt very soft and luxurious, and the room heating worked well. Their on-site restaurant is very reasonably priced. Their lighting control is great - you have the option of turning on/off different sections of the room and bathroom. They also provide valet parking for your car with in-out privileges. What didn't work so well was the safe - it worked fine the first two days, but then stopped working. And they could add electrical sockets close to both sides of the bed. Overall, I recommend this place. I'll definitely be using the Hilton hotels in my future travels.

    Hotel was excellent inside, yet parking was across the street, though the hotel did not work the parking deck and while I prepaid the parking deck they still charged me a second time to exit the deck, attendant straight up ignored me through the glass as I tried to show my receipt, 5 cars stacked up behind me honking waiting to get out.

    The food was good, the service was excellent and the parking was a decent price. Overall my experience with other Canopy's has been top notch specifically the one in Portland, ME is very very good. I think for a hotel carrying the Hilton name that the rooms should be better kept. The service was excellent, front desk was amazing and the cleaners very friendly and accommodating.

    The Canopy is a nice hotel with plenty of food and shopping nearby. The room me and my partner stayed in had a very nice modern touch, but was lacking in certain areas. Some strands of hair in our bed sheets and in the shower, also a questionable red stain on the shower floor. I always do a clean of a room regardless, but seeing the state of how the room was in, made it seem like there wasn’t a thorough cleaning before we arrived. Still a nice property and very excellent for the price.

    Great hotel with a cool, interesting vibe. I arrived before check-in and the staff was super helpful in offering me a place if I needed to get ready before my meeting and holding my luggage until my room was ready. The lobby area was very comfortable and had plenty of space for my colleague and I to work between our client onsites.

    Excellent hotel! Big room for NYC. Lots of storage/stuff space for toiletries, suitcase, clothes. Chaise to sit on. Empty usable fridge space. Really excellent, clean, new room. Friendly, helpful staff. Right near the PATH station and pedestrian zone bars and restaurants. My only tiny issues were the loud heating/air, no sugar packet/stir stick refills at the coffee station in my room x 2 days (but refilled promptly when I called food service), and the scent of the toiletries (but love the big bottles!).
