    The property was well maintained but the house keeping staff did not do a detailed cleanup the toilet had pubic hair on the toilet urine stains, arou the rim was not cleaned and the bath tub looked like a member of the staff just wiped out the bathroom tub

    The lady at the desk agreed. The next day at 11 a.m. the manager and staff were telling me to leave. No internet Convenience store wasn't staffed I haf to call to get pillows in the room when I checked in! Stains on the carpets I can document. The stains still stunk from vomit The bathrooms are new. However the floors are at least 1 inch higher causing a tripping hazard. I almost headed face first into the sink twice Poor.water pressure and hot water was a problem I have pictures.

    There are renovations at the hotel and I believe they are expanding those renovations to the hotel entirely. The room was very clean and we appreciate it that, however there was a very unpleasant smell in the hallways. I will go back to this hotel. We really did like the staff. Thank you...

    Very run down and not clean. No hand soap in the bathroom or kitchen. No vending. Front desk was still closed at 8:30 am so couldn't return the room key and check out. Room had an odd smell and furniture was scratched up like a cat had stayed in the room. First floor room and window locks did not work. Very disappointing.

    I've stayed at this hotel several times in the past, but this hotel has gone down - especially since Sonesta took over sometime last year! The room was decent, but upon check-in a notice was posted that renovations were underway in the laundry & gym. Too late for me to change or make other arrangements for a 4 day stay! This was not mentioned or stated in the reservations. The first floor hallway was blocked off & the air conditioner was off. The carpets were disgustingly dirty from construction traffic on top of the dirt & grime that was already there before construction started. The garbage was overflowing from all the receptacles causing a horrible stench throughout all 3 floors and the hallways. No one performed any hotel maintenance or cleaning over the weekend. The phone service does not work, and this Sonesta self-service hotel has no one working the front desk between 11 pm - 9 am. When Ispoke with the hotel manager about how nasty the hotel is, she offered no compensation, refund, or apologies for the hotels deplorable condition or my experience. This Jacksonville Sonesta hotel in particular is worthy of a -5 stars - that's a NEGATIVE FIVE STARS.

    N/A Roaches, broken furniture, questionable stains on carpet, dirty dishes in dishwasher at check in. Staff changed one room upon request, no apologies was made about the condition of the place. Laundry room and gym both were out of use without prior notice or reimbursement. Tried to get assistance from booking to cancel the stay since it was beyond disappointing and filthy, unfortunately they were not able to get a hold of the office nor were we. There was maybe once during a week stay that we actually saw someone at the front desk. Housekeeping never even came to clean the room during the stay or pick the trash. We were kind of stuck in that place due to prepayment and no reply from the property.

    good flat space and many plugs-- TV worked but old low resolution-- AC could be adjusted without blowing on me-- seemed like they were trying luggage carts not available on arrival and departure we carried a ton of stuff by hand-- only 3 available for over 100 rooms- disability wall anchors not stable-- worrisome in the shower -- carpet was pretty old as were furnishings-- i dont like soft beds

    Absolutely the worst experience I have ever had at any hotel ever. I was charged a hold 2 times for a room they never could put me in and never got to stay there. I ended up having to secure another place to stay. The staff pretty much did not care to help and just wanted to charge deposit after deposit blaming the system for not seeing the deposit hold. At 2:30 am we finally secured another place to stay. All calls to them have been ignored at this time

    Although the kitchen was somewhat remodeled, the carpet was old. The couch was old. The chairs were old and dirty. They did not do a good job cleaning the floors. Was not satisfied with the room. The outside of the hotel was well maintained.

    "The Store" is empty, and looks like it has been abandoned for quite some time. Small kitchen appliances are locked away, and good luck getting assistance with borrowing one at off hours. The laundry and the gym are connected, causing the gym area to be saturated with laundry detergent fragrances (not good for asthmatics). Elevator rattles loudly when operating. Elevator floors could use a good scrub. Floor trash cans are right next to the elevator, and are always overflowing. Paint and ceiling texture are peeling in places in rooms (have stayed here twice). Laminate flooring is coming up in places in kitchen and bath - a panel stuck to my foot when walking on it. Beds are on old metal frames that creak every time you move (not good for light sleepers). One stay included a recliner in the room. Shabby would be a compliment for its condition. Air conditioning units are loud and sound like they are original to the build. Refrigerators are loud. Overall, the property needs a thorough deep clean, new carpets, new laminate, fresh paint, new beds, updated bathrooms, and

    I found a german roach next to coffee maker, curly hair in the bath tub and hand sink and a plastic lid from a container next to the bed I left after I found all of the above and I communicate everything to the nice lady in front desk.

    Place smelled clean on the first floor and when I got to the third it smelled like old curry spices. The room was clean on walk in but the sheets for the sofa bed had body hair in them and the dishwasher had dirty dishes in them. Thank God my son had a sleeping bag in the car, as the sofa bed mattress had stains all over it.

    We were kind of disappointed on our choice with this place. There was such a weird smell in the hallways. The cleanliness was not very good. There were some pubic hairs in the shower when we arrived. But the staff was very friendly. Bed would be comfy if it didn’t make so much noise when rolling over.

The phone didn't work in the room so we couldn't call the front desk. I was in a Handi-cap room. The lock was broken on the back door so anyone could come in the building.     The only complaint that my husband and I have is that they do not service your room. The gentleman at the counter told us that they don’t clean the rooms for two weeks (we were there for a work trip and was there Thursday- Monday). If we wanted clean bedding or clean towels, we would have to bring the dirty items down and they would swap them out for clean ones. The chair in our room was also dirty and the leather on the chair was coming off. There was something sticky on the head board and it looked like the tv hadn’t been cleaned or dusted in months. The staff was friendly though and check in was easy.

    The property is okay but the cleanliness is not okay. My room smelled like smoke and old house combined and I seemed like it was coming from the a/c. We asked for more towels to shower and the only way they let us have more towels is if we brought the old towels down to the front desk. Never had an experience from a property like this.

    The room was well cared for and clean. Simple ways to ‘update’ the rooms some would be to reprint and add color to the information sheets on the wall board. Mine was very old and faded. A list of eateries within walking distance, and the nearest grocery stores. Something that says ‘welcome’ and something that explains the cleaning room policies (I dont know that I should need to ask) It’s those small items that seem to make the difference between this being ‘cheaper’ vs a good value Thanks 😊

    The first room we were given the toilet was running, and the leather chair was filthy and cracked and damaged. We went to the front desk and they did reassign us another room. Bathroom floor was not clean and room a bit dated and dingy. We stayed for four nights housekeeping never came in to empty the garbage, give new towels or give us more coffee. There was only one on the counter when we arrived.

    Very scary, and they charge an extra secure fee of 100.00 and it takes 10 days to get back. No dishes to use dishwasher broke and alot of hanging outside building issues. Plus they had half parking lot blocked off due to painting

    The hotel itself is very dated. The common area had sticky floors and the carpets looked like they needed a good vacuuming. The room itself was adequate, but the bathroom had sticky floors that my shoes stuck to constantly. The bathroom counter also had a residue that made it feel dirty. The bed was horrible and creaked every time you moved. The outlets did not hold plugs very well and were very loose. Overall, I personally would not stay here again.

    Didn’t really like anything about it unfortunately. It doesn’t feel very safe when you first get to your room and there’s 2 additions locks on the door. The bed was extremely uncomfortable, felt like you were sleeping on a cushion full of springs. The bathroom was extremely unpleasant, the shower floor was brown in color not white like it is supposed to be, the toilet broke and wasn’t able to flush the toilet properly, the water pressure was awful. It felt like it took 10 minutes just to get soap off of your body… The booking ad was great and then you get to the hotel and it was like you got catfished. It looked nothing like the pictures online. As soon as we walked into the room we contemplated leaving and just going to get a different hotel…

    The room itself was okay but needed updating. The bed was AWFUL!!! It should have been thrown out twenty years ago! It sank in the middle and the springs which were so worn out that it creaked and popped with every movement. You could feel the springs which was terrible. The pillows were pancakes. Did not sleep at all. I asked the front desk about replacing the mattress and was told they could try to move us to another room but they probably wouldn’t have any available. That never happened yet the parking lot was half full??? Asked about replacing the pillows and was told they didn’t have any. I WOULD NOT RECOMMEND STAYING HERE UNLESS YOU AREN'T WANTING TO SLEEP.

    The friendly staff was the best part about this visit. They assisted me with a refund because I didn't need the full stay and was very cooperative and helpful. The other guests who I encountered were also very friendly and greeting. The hotel is old. Fans in hallways. Base boards torn off of walls in some areas. Elevator had a spill on the floor. I checked the sheets in one room and discovered spots on them. However, the desk staff was willing to accommodate another room. Again, the staff was the best part of this stay.

    I’ve stayed here multiple times over the past year and am still pleased with service and cleanliness. However as of late there has been a decline in the atmosphere of the hotel. There has in my view been a decline in patronage screening which has added to drug users hanging around.

    There was urine on the bottom of the commode with hair stuck in it. They also did not refill the shampoo so when I got in the tub to take a shower, I had no shampoo. I took it off of the holder so maybe they will refill it for the next guest. I also only got one washcloth.

    From reserving the room thorough checkout, front desk and hotel supporting staff were wonderful. About 20 minutes from Jax Beach and Pier. Lots of places to eat 2 miles out and closer. I'll definitely stay again if in the area. I almost forgot. The main reason for staying there is they are pet friendly. Plenty of walking area and a lake/pond behind the hotel with easy access from within the hotel. Great place!

    The layout was nice in the room but the wash cloths had some nasty spots, bed was very loud when you'd move around, rusty metal on light that overhangs bathroom sink, looked like some kind of leak by the window trim next to door entries of bathroom and front door as well.

    booked this hotel for 2 nights and couldn't stay more than one night because of the smell, dirty and the noise. The night shift staff was rude and not helpful. even they charged me for 2 nights even though i checked out a night before. Never coming back to this hotel. Not recommended

    Sad they didn’t have a breakfast dining for the morning other than that everything was good. There were a few female entertainers with a male but I mean it’s a hotel that will happen anywhere. Other than that the staff is as nice and room was clean and definitely will go back.

    Very quiet stay. Ice maker only made ice once in a 12 hour period. If you intend on staying for a while, you need dish cloths and dish detergent.

    Solid property. I actually really enjoyed the studio aspect of it. The kitchen was extremely nice to have, as well as the FULL size fridge. We had lots of snacks and drinks, so it was nice to be able to keep it all chilled. As well as an ice maker in the freezer, it was a nice touch. The only thing that did bother me was the sticky floor when we got in, and the musty smell from the AC. Also, at no fault of the hotel but, the people that were staying above us… my god. They may as well have been elephants because they were stomping around back and forth for HOURS. And we were barely able to sleep our last night/morning there.

    The staff were very accommodating and the room was a nice suite with a full size refrigerator. I stayed here for a week recuperating from a surgery and I had everything I needed for a comfortable and quiet stay.

    Staff was friendly but our room had a strong dog smell. Staff never came to clean the room or refresh towels. One morning when we had the do not disturb sign on, someone walked in. I thought it was my husband so i called out to him and then i heard the door close. They didnt come when the sign was on to clean the room but then they key in when the do not disturb was on. We had many appointments to get to so we didnt have the chance to voice our concerns. They never had the chance to rectify anything since it wasnt brought to their attention.

    Parking lot was unfinished, and when it rained, it flooded the area. I wasn’t going to roll and carry my luggage and bags when my feet are submerged in water. Room was clean until I got to the bathroom and there was a used towel behind the door. Attention to details. Would stay again, things happen.

    It was the worst hotel I’ve ever been to. They don’t clean the rooms, even comum areas were very dirty, no equipment was working at the gym, there was no warm water, they don’t even remove trash from rooms for my whole stay there, parking lot was destroyed, attendants don’t help at all, there is no breakfast. Terrible

    No recomiendo para ir en familia. Las habitaciones con olor a cigarro fuerte. Nos dieron una habitación muy olorienta y baño sucio.pedimos el cambio y con mala predisposición nos dieron otra y estaba un poco mejor. La limpieza no es buena.     Not a bad stay at all. We came late and left early but satisfied with the experience. Room had a little bit of a musty smell though. Found it a little weird no cleaning supplies were provided for the kitchen so be prepared with your own dish soap/dishwasher detergent/sponge.

    Overall the stay was alright. The hallways had several funky smells. The room was clean enough (we wiped down the counters and table) the staff was nice and helpful. The drains in our room (shower and sinks) were all stopped up but maintenance came and fixed it.

    I had a horrible stay. The rest room was smelling like sewage. Roaches in the room. The furniture was dirty, i had to clean it up. The heater was not working, i informed them about it and they never fix it . The shower head was so dirty. The washing machine in the Landry facility was filty.i asked them to change My room, and they kept giving me stupid excuses. Please don't stay here.

    The property was just average for me. Nothing really bad. I just didn’t care for stains on the curtains, the sewage smell upon walking down the 1st floor hallway or the fact that checkout is at 11 and housekeeping knocked once and opened my door around 1040 which could have been terrible for her but I was literally about to walk out the door when she opened it. Other than that, it served the purpose.
