Great place to stay if visiting Jacksonville. My room was clean, the bed was comfortable and the breakfast was delicious. Eric and all staff was very friendly and helpful. The neighborhood was quaint and quiet. Really enjoyed my stay.

Good sized room with lots of storage and a king size bed. Breakfast was outstanding with a large dining room set with real table clothes. Good location a block from river.

They ended up upgrading me as a courtesy. The room was beautifully appointed and the bathroom was freshly redone. The breakfast was amazing and the staff were attentive and available 24 hours a day. Furthermore, it sits next to the St. John’s and Memorial Park. It was a beautiful night stroll and great morning run. I would recommend it to anyone.

Such a convenient location, right in the middle of so many Jacksonville tourist destinations (restaurants, museums, shopping). Upon check-in, the parking lot was spacious with both standard parking spaces and electronic vehicle chargers available. The staff was so friendly and showed us to our room, room one on the second floor with a beautiful view of the area. The rooms are spacious, amenities plentiful, and we enjoyed the comfort of the room. The next morning, we enjoyed a cooked to order breakfast which was absolutely delicious. This restored mansion is an ideal bed and breakfast, and I would highly recommend it.

My recent stay was wonderful! I booked one night in the spacious Windsor Suite for my husbands birthday. The Riverdale Inn is so beautiful and cozy. It almost feels otherworldly as if you've gone a bit back in time. The bed was very comfortable and I always love a double sink! Whenever I visit Jacksonville, I'll be sure to book here again.

My only gripe is that I totally missed that the Riverdale Inn serves afternoon tea (which need reservations 24 hours in advance) Will definitely return to this property and will be sure to book tea!

This is a lovely inn close to downtown. There are shops an restaurants close by, as well as a nice park on the river. The room met expectations, staff was very welcoming, and breakfast was delicious! We would stay again if we are in the area.

We have stayed here many times and always have a great experience. The rooms are beautiful, comfortable and cozy. Great breakfast selection and fresh coffee and tea. They offer afternoon tea which is also so good!!! Everyone is friendly and goes out of their way to make your stay wonderful.

Charming old mansion converted into a B&B in a nice neighborhood and two doors down from one of the best restaurants in the city. The room was nice and the bed was comfortable, but I didn't sleep well due to road noise.

I was on a multi-day road trip and stopped in Jacksonville for a concert at the Florida Theatre; the Riverdale Inn was an easy 5 minutes or so drive to the theatre. The inn itself was excellent. Easy to find, easy check-in, friendly staff. It's an older, historic building (which I love) in a fairly quiet neighborhood. Comfortable bed, soothing shower. Quiet. I'm not a breakfast guy, so I can't comment there. This is a nice place that I would stay at again.

The Inn is located in a lovely neighborhood on the water with good restaurants and shopping in walking distance. Convenient off interstate. Our room was quiet, clean and the bed was comfortable. Breakfast was prepared to order with lots of menu choices and was delicious. Will for sure stay here again.

We had a wonderful stay. Any time we are in Jacksonville, we will definitely go back! The bed was extremely comfortable - like sleeping in a cloud. The breakfast was very good and filling. The staff was very accommodating and friendly. Highly recommended!

Riverdale Inn was just as described. Beautiful grounds and beautiful Inn. The couple were extremely helpful. While we were there, we walked around and spotted Cinco Tacos. The food was delicious. Oh, and the breakfast offered at the Inn was absolutely scrumptious! We will definitely be staying there again.

Beautiful historic home within walking distance to the park and several good restaurants. Comfortable and clean room. The breakfaat was made to order to each morning served with French press coffee or juice. The service was great: everyone was very friendly and available to assist when needed.

Absolutely the worst bed we have ever TRIED to sleep on. We left in the middle of the night. The room was clean, but the BED WAS HORRIBLE! Hard as a slab of concrete!!!!

The Riverdale Inn is beautifully restored and there are some lovely rooms in the main house. We had one night in a pretty, spacious light room at the top of the house. Unfortunately our second and third nights were in “Lancaster, a premium double room” in a converted garage in a second building in the car park. It was dark and depressing (the only lights being two bedside lights, although the newly renovated bathroom was well lit). The furniture was well worn and the whole ambience was dreary and incredibly disappointing. The only outside light came through a small window overlooking a neighbouring property with people walking through and a window in the door. This was an expensive mistake, we would never have booked it if we had known what it was like.

Cute BnB in nice setting near the river. The shower came on by itself at night because "the people in the room upstairs were taking a shower". The gurgling drain was noisy and disruptive. Breakfast: ham and cheese omelet was perfect; however, the pancakes were burnt (I mean black).

It was a quick one night stay for a show at the Osborn Center. Next year I will make a weekend of it.

The staff was very friendly, and the main house is beautiful. They offer many different options for breakfast which were incredible. The only drawback was the Wi-Fi for the carriage house was not reliable - but staying at a quaint bed and breakfast isn’t about having incredible Wi-Fi. Unfortunately for us it was needed, but we were able to enable hot spots on our phones and crisis was averted.Overall we enjoyed our stay. It really is in a beautiful part of Jacksonville.

Staff very friendly. Breakfast well cooked with several choices. Public areas well decorated. Our room was a mixed bag, bathroom well maintained. Room had a damp musty smell. Furniture was beaten up. Padded headboard ripped and peeling.

We enjoyed our stay at Riverdale Inn! The innkeeper welcomed us to park in their parking lot early, so we could get out and see Jacksonville. The Riverwalk is only a few blocks away and is only a 2 mile walk to the downtown area. Our room was clean, spacious and comfortable. The innkeeper, Eric, happily gave us feedback to our questions. In the morning, we thoroughly enjoyed our breakfast, made to order by the chef! We would happily stay again! Many thanks!

Chef Eric gave us excellent tips regarding things to do and all of them were in walking distance. An terrific location from which to explore this older Jax neighborhood. Wish we could've stayed longer!

Its a beautiful mansion with a warm ambiance, spacious rooms, a great bar area and full of gorgeous antiques. Breakfast is made to order with large servings. We would definitely stay here again.

My stay was great! We had a long drive from Ky and loved our stay. It was clean and inviting. Our suite was nice and cozy and just a perfect place to rest and relax! VERY enjoyable experience :) Should my future plans have me in JAX again - I shall definitely come back. The staff upon arrival were very helpful, polite and all around NICE. Breakfast next morning was 5 Star. This is not your "free" breakfast offered at other establishments - but truly delicious and delightful.

I had no idea when I booked this reservation that the inn was.a few steps from the river and park. Also, in walking distance and convenient to various eateries. I definitely recommend. This is my go to place when I visit.

An excellent place to stay!

Exceptional additions that you don't normally get at a hotel. Several choices for breakfast (included in price) such as eggs any way, avacado toast and waffles. Beats those continental breakfasts at hotels. Can also have afternoon tea at additional reasonable cost, extremely worth it. The food was great. Beds are comfortable and great staff. Also love sitting on the front porch with an evening drink.

This was my first stay here. This B B was priced about the same as the chain hotels but it had WAY easier parking (drive right in and free) and the owner/operator was very welcoming. The free included breakfast was cooked perfect and the french pressed coffee was delicious. The bed was comfortable and the unit even had a washer dryer. I will stay here again the next time I'm in Jacksonville.

We had a pleasant experience at the Riverdale Inn. The place was beautifully furnished as you expect from a traditional bed and breakfast.The staff was friendly and helpful. Walking in the area brings you to many cafes, restaurants and bars. Nearby parks give you an opportunity to walk alongside the river. We will definitely come back.

We were arriving late, they had called ahead to leave details about our late arrival. They seemed very accommodating to late arrivals. Breakfast was delicious in the morning! The room was spacious, huge bathroom. We somehow had a complementary upgrade- which was nice! Only negative was that the fan? or AC? made a loud ticking noise throughout the night.

Our first time staying here and staying again in a couple of months. Beds were so comfy and staff very friendly. Definitely better than staying at a hotel. Great breakfast choices and so good. Loved the bar for a nightcap and minibar in room, as well as record player in the bar. Nice atmosphere. Loved sitting on the porch in the morning and the character of every room. Also in walking distance to the water, restaurants and activities.

What a gem ! You can walk to most of the local attractions and restaurants.The river is a mere 200ft away. Plenty of free parking on the property itself. Owners are very friendly and go out their way to make sure that you are comfortable. Delicious breakfast is a bonus.

Loved the spot. We arrived late and after hours and had no problem getting in. There was a plate with cake and an honor bar which we took advantage of. The breakfast provided was wonderful. Unique property with a lot of character. You can walk to lots of restaurants. I would definitely stay again when visiting Jacksonville!

We stayed here 8 years ago so were pleased to see that the hotel is still thriving. We were just passing through for one night so no time to explore but it's a lovely and peaceful setting right on the river. The town is really interesting though it's a shame to see that it still feels a bit abandoned. The locals are really friendly

Very good for everything

Right off of RT 95 as we were traveling south. A welcome change from the chain hotels that have no charm. The breakfast was amazing. The only reason I didn’t give it a 10, was some things were a bit tired. It was super clean so that made up for it.
