Guys with hoodies, go in and out the building in 88 degree weather, flipping their knives. Watching the tv monitors people were going in and out of rooms numerous times . The desk clerk went to check if my room was ready or not. The place looked dangerous , parking lot had way to many people walking around . There was not any cars parked.

Ice cold a/c was good. Floors need to be better cleaned. Had to use washcloth to sit on edge of bed & wash feet before getting in bed cus feet were black cus floor isn’t cleaned properly. 1 light in the room worked….the one on the desk. Very disrespectful ppl LIVING on 3rd floor, banging on several doors throughout the night, talking loudly in hallway in a bar/restaurant voice, & the B.S. fight between 2 females about a f-ing phone at like idk 2-3 AM (are you f-ing kidding me??? Ppl need to & are trying to sleep).

The security everything else sucked I did not get what I paid for and they refused to fix it.

I liked the fact that all the people that stayed there was very friendly! WE ALL WERE LOCKED OUT OF OUR ROOMS FOR ABOUT 3 HOURS BECAUSE THE LADY WASN’T IN THE OFFICE.

When we arrived, the guy at the front desk was nice and checked us in with no issues. However, there were people hanging around outside that were heavily intoxicated. When inside, we noticed a strong cigarette smell. We then got to our room, the floor was sticky, there was a stain on one of the bedsheets, and behind the bathroom door was not cleaned properly either. The people outside were trying to speak to my wife and little girl and she was extremely uncomfortable. Ultimately we checked out and left and found a hotel elsewhere. We explained this to the hotel desk employee and he was understanding.

There were roaches in the room other then that staff was friendly and welcoming and very nice!

When we entered the room, we immediately noticed several maintenance and cleanliness issues that appeared to have been present prior to our arrival. The bathroom ceiling had visible mold growth, and there was also mold in the caulking around the tub area. The bathroom faucet handles were not installed correctly and did not fully shut the water off. In addition, the air conditioning unit was not properly sealed and had a noticeable opening that allowed outside air to flow directly into the room. These issues suggested the room had not been properly maintained prior to being rented. To be fair, the staff we interacted with were polite and courteous, and there was an armed security guard on the property which did help the location feel safer. However, the condition of the room itself fell below what we expected in terms of cleanliness and basic maintenance.

It was great n definitely plan on stay here again for sure 100% love this place.

Room was dirty, there was a bug in my room, when i first checked in they gave me the wrong room that i paid for then i went and told them it was wrong and then gonna tell me there are no more king rooms left available when i had already paid for the king room and had it reserved. Toilet lid had a cigarette burn on it and the tile in the bathroom was broken. The service at the front desk was also terrible he will talk to you how ever he feel like it.

We didn’t stay simply because when we drove up we saw people hanging out place looked like a trap I think illegal activity was going on just didn’t feel safe at all so we canceled our reservation in person on sight, no we would never stay at a place like this and just for the record I’m African American.

This property is ran down and nasty, smells like weed and cigarettes.

Staff Roaches

Nothing about this property was okay. The bed was itchy, the bathroom was not clean the sink and the toilet bowl very unclean. Is simply a bad experience, I checked out around 2am to head out.

No toilet paper in the room. No wastebasket. Tcontrol had no batteries. Old motel, needs upgrade immediately.

Rooms were never cleaned since no one from housekeeping showed up for work. No breakfast included. Nothing!!!!

The room was dirty, the bed sheets were stained, the flooring was in bad shape and sagging in the bathroom. Visible amount of dust and cobwebs all through out the room. I got to the hotel for check in and no one was around to help, no one answered the phone.

Friendly and respectful night clerk. I travel over the surface dog who only barks when someone knocked on the door because I’m hard of hearing she put in the system that no one should knock on the door unless it was absolutely necessary so that the dog didn’t bark. The room is clean and tidy so where’s the property? There was security at night overall a good state.

My husband and I booked a cruise and needed a place close to the port looked great online (can’t believe everything you see online). They played music partying in the parking lot until the early morning hours a fight broke out then the building was surrounded with cops. The tv remote didn’t work we had to make numerous trips to the office they finally gave us a remote that worked. I do not recommend this hotel it’s flooded with people pacing the halls and the hotel parking lot.

Roaches everywhere dirty stained sheets sheriff dep rated my room looking for someone in the wrong room at gun point staff did not sent video footage as requested to file a complaint.

Didn’t even finish checking in. Went in, the ladies didn’t even talk to me when I said I needed to check in, went back out, there was a car that pulled up with people who got out, clearly smoking pot and acting obnoxious, they all gathered around the hotel like they were staying there or meeting there, and one was flaunting around a gun. Decided to leave, asked for a refund and the people at the front desk said there was no gun, pot was legal and that the people who were acting unsafe were employees so there was no problem. In addition to that, there’s a sign posted right in the front that said if the kids are loud then they will kick you out. Unfortunately, young kids aren’t always cooperative at going to bed so once again, in addition to it not being safe, they wouldn’t have even allowed us to make it to the room without having a problem with the kids.

It was the most ghetto thing I’ve ever seen. There were a bunch of people hanging out all over the front making it extremely uncomfortable. They were grilling and smoking. There were drug addicts all over the place walking in between the cars in the lot. There was a person doing hair cuts in the staircase. There were prostitutes in a SUV stationed in the lot for all to see. They windows had blankets and towels cover so they can do their work.

There was nothing to like about the property. It appeared families were living there. It was very dirty and loud

This was a very unkempt building. I couldn’t get in the back door to access my room as I was told I could. There were too many sketchy folks hanging outside the building that I ended up renting a room across town instead and couldn’t get refund.

There were people working on cars in the parking. Grass and bushes were overgrown. Building next door had boarded up windows with people living in it just a few feet from the hotel. We did NOT stay there. Drove through the parking lot and did not even feel safe stopping. Any assistance with any portion of a refund would be greatly appreciated!!!!

It's a place to stay

The desk clerks were very nice but the Front Desk Manager for this property was an animal. According to the manager, the only way to get clean towels and sheets was to bring them to the front desk, wait for them to be washed and dried, then return to the front desk to pick them up when they were done. If you need them to mop the room she puts you on a list for housekeeping but they never arrive. We were tracking dirt from the hallway to the room, room floor was filthy when we arrived. We went to Walmart upon arrival to purchase Lysol disinfecting wipes, a tub mat,and flip flops before touching anything it was that dirty. There were two outlets in the room but only one socket in each outlet worked and we had to go back out for an extension cord, with multiple plug ins to use our CPAP devices so we could sleep. They are running prostitution and drugs from the sidewalk in front of the main office. The safety doors at both ends of the building are propped open 24/7 so no key required for entry to the building. Two of the drug users living there got into a fist fight in the hallway as we were leaving, morning front desk manager was yelling at them to stop, my adult son opened the hall entrance to the lobby so that the manager could drag one of the drug users into the lobby and separate them. Some of the rooms on the ground floor had broken up tile on the floor, exposing concrete, I am pretty sure that they are rooms occupied throughout the week by desperate women and children.

We didn’t even get out of the vehicle. Place was very run down. Plywood over windows. Looked like a very unsafe neighborhood to be in. People just hanging out around the place. Very upset that it was on the website for a place to stay

Upon arrival to check in my family, and I noticed guys and females hanging out around the property. We went inside to check in the lady at the front desk. She was very sweet and nice she had a welcoming spirit. We went up to look at the rooms, the rooms that my girls had the pillowcases and sheets looked used. They came and got me. I went up to check the room out and of course yes it did. My daughter didn’t even open her door after she came into my room and saw it was clean, but the bathroom Looks like it had been used, and there was paper in the trash and the tissue was down really low the bathroom floor look like someone had walked on it while it was being mopped after my babies came got me to see their room. I didn’t care what mine look like. I wasn’t staying there. Once we went back downstairs. One of the guys walking around the property had a firearm hanging out of his pants, and one of the other guys was leaning beside the building and told another one that’s a really nice car. Then we looked at the reviews on Google only to find out this was not a good place to stay. I went to the front desk and told her we will be leaving and she apologize real nicely and issue a full refund. I loved her personality, but not the hotel, physical and outer appearance.

Room smelled and only the bathroom light worked, bed uncomfortable.

I had to wait a long time just to get a room clean and the towels was not clean the bed had burnt spots on the sheets there was no phone to call if I needed help except for my cell phone of course. Next time I'll choose another motel when I take a cruise ship from Jacksonville Florida.

I made the reservation because it is so close to the port. When I drove into the parking lot, my wife said, “We’re not staying here.” It looked dirty and unsafe. I called to cancel my reservation and was told I couldn’t. My money was thrown away. Not good.

We killed 6 roaches in as many minutes while getting our things together to leave. The entire place is absolutely disgusting. The manager Denise is wonderful and doesn't belong working for such predators, no one does.

The room I was in was terrible the bathroom door was busted at the bottom the sheets had smoke holes in them the price I paid was not worth the stay very dissatisfied

No ac in hallways. Bathtub would not seal and you could see hair in the drain. Floors in room had dusty dirt on them. No elevator. Stairwell floors had matted down grime and dirt everywhere. Lifted sheet to look at mattress. It was stained and worn beyond belief! Looked like it was from a junk yard. I could not believe it! We had no choice to stay because of the hurricane. It was awful and nasty, but dry from the storm.

Dirty everywhere - stairs, tile grout, around edges of baseboard. Bloody tissue in bedside table. Terrible experience but nice staff. Sorry, cannot recommend.

The hotel was run down and ghetto. There was noise the whole night (no sleep), police was patrolling the parking lot (worst area to stay in Florida), highest crime rate in the state. The 1st floor flooded at 2 in the morning and was switched to a different floor so it was just the most worst stay ever

This location is horrible. I stayed here two years ago thinking i would have the same experience, I was so wrong. The property is in horrible condition. Tons of straglers are hanging around. I was offered drugs and a prostitute in less than 10 minutes of being in the parking lot. The front desk clerk was gone when i arrived to check in. I waited on her for an hour. I cant believe this red roof is associated with carnival cruise port. This place needs to be closed.

Showed up around 8 that night to check in and probably interrupted a “dealing” happening in front of the building. Area seemed unsafe, lots of people loitering in the parking lot and around the hotel area with hardly any cars in it so I’m assuming they wasn’t staying there, but I could be wrong. Do research before booking, I can’t get my money back, but I don’t recommend this red roof inn location

The room was horrible for the price. Top of AC was broken and missing the vents to direct airflow. There was stains all over the walls. The white sheets and pillow cases were dirty with black marks all over them. Only good part of this visit was the gentleman at the front desk. He was very nice during check in.

The hotel itself wasn't very clean. The sheets and towels were stained, there were cigarette burns on the coverlet, and the towel rod fell off of the wall. There was a roach in the bathroom and the a/c leaked. However, the staff were kind and friendly. It made the stay bearable, and i most suredlu wish them the best. We definitely wont be staying here again.

Trust me in this case the reviews are absolutely correct! This place should be shut down immediately! Its nasty they have stains everywhere on the beds! It smells bad! Front desk was extremely friendly. That was the only up side to this property. Flooring on staira was coming up, stairs were extremely dirty. Room was filthy. Obcenities and male anatomy had veen drawn on the lamp shade. Cigarette burns in the sheets. Toilet was not secured to the floor and rocked whwn sat in. The electric outlet was hanging out of the wall. There wasnt actually a blanket on the bed. There was a regular flat sheet and then another flat sheet with floral print to make it look good. Outside looked okay, don't be fooled!

This is by far the worst red roof Inn I've ever stayed in

The sprinkler head was totally corroded. I don’t think it could work. There was mould in the room. There was no blanket on the bed, only a thin very stained sheet, we were very cold. The taps were loose and mounted wrongly. Paint had peeled off the walls or had been scraped off. There were no handrails on the bathtub. A smelly cardboard air freshener was hung on the heater/air conditioner in an attempt to cover up the stale odour in the room. The floor was sticky and dirty. There was a pile of cigarette butts, ashes, bits of garbage at the main rear door. This place would not pass a Health and Safety Inspection. I recommend that Expedia remove it from their website.

It smelled like marijuana as soon as I got out of my car. The room was not clean and the toilet seat was not attached.

Place appeared to be where homeless people stay at night. Reeked of smoke. Arrived at 3am with random people in the stairwell. Stairs were full of trash including used bandages. Sheets appeared clean but i was compeled to look for bed bugs. Didn't see any. Waited for the sun to come up and got out of there fast. Curtains dusty with burn holes, floor had burn marks and window was completely gross.

If you’re just passing through and need a place to sleep and aren’t too picky then this place will do. It’s clean for the most part (just don’t older). The bed is terrible, very hard. Not much for lighting in the room. The bathroom light and then a wall lamp on each side of the bed. There was a microwave but no fridge. The walls are VERY thin. I was woken up each morning by the people above me getting ready. They weren’t stomping around or anything it’s just that easy to hear everything! Staff was friendly. Good cheap place for a quick overnight but wouldn’t stay here for more than a night or two.

I left at 3 am and there were still people smoking weed in the hallways. My time was very limited. I only needed a few hours sleep or I would never have stayed there.

Stayed here over the weekend. Building looks great in photos. Rooms look decent in photos. For a non smoking hotel, the hall ways and linens sure do smell of cigarette and marijuana. People hanging out front and around the building at all hours of the day and night, apparently “long term residents”. Bed was lopsided, chair in the room had serious signs of wear like missing fabric on the seat. Needless to say, we wont be back.

People are standing outside smoking all day. Mattress had a hole, the hole was covered by pillow cases. Called the front desk at 3 am because people were running up and down the hallway banging on walls and playing loud music. Front desk said she didn’t see anyone in the hallway there was nothing she could do about it. We had the hotel room for 6 nights we only stayed 1 night. I do believe that people live in the hotel. I DO NOT RECOMMEND THIS HOTEL TO STAY!!

Honestly. This place looks nothing like the pictures. I found roaches, ashes, and rat poop in my room. This place is extremely unsafe. People live here. There’s prostitution going on at night and people constantly hanging around in the front all night. I had no other choice but to stay there bc it was close to where I needed to be but I would never come back here. A lot of gang activity at night. As mentioned prostitution and found baggies of drugs in the staircase. Also people smoking weed weed and crack in the stair cases.

Upon arrival at the property I encountered about 10 individuals possibly more just hanging out in front of the entrance smoking and making the whole scene uncomfortable and unsafe. Even with a Rottweiler present, tried to cancel the reservation for a refund and was denied.

Nothing good about this hotel. Zero security, dirty, actually witnessed someone breaking into a truck. Do not stay here. We didn't even stay the night. Ended up sleeping in our vehicle at a Walmart.

I needed a ground floor room because my wife is in a wheel chair. I called the front desk the day before my arrival, and was told I would have a first floor room. When I got there, There were no first floor rooms available. I had to drive almost 50 miles to find a room.

They took our reservation and when we showed up, they had no rooms and were very rude. When hotels.com called to ask about it, they weren't any help to them either. Don't even try and stay here.

The staff was super nice but the hotel needs to be shut down! It looks like a homeless shelter. It feels VERY unsafe and not kid friendly at all!

Took an extremely long time to check in. I was given a room that was already occupied. There was old french fries and used q tips swept into a corner behind the bathroom door. The floors in the hallway were stained and filthy. Black stains on shower curtain, was cloths,and bath towels. The outside window of the double pane window had a large hole in it.

Our room was literally so disgusting that we wanted to leave but we couldn’t get a refund and everywhere else was full. The pillow case had a lot of foundation/makeup on it, the floors were not clean and not swept, there was trash in the shower from the previous occupant, the tub had soap and grime build up, and the towels had hairs in all of them. Literally the worst and most unclean hotel I have ever seen. The front desk offered zero apologies, no solutions, and no refund. The surrounding area was also sketchy. Strongly discourage unless you’re desperate, have no other options, and are willing to risk it.

Booked 2 nights, only stayed one, couldn't imagine staying there another night. No elevator, not that we needed one, but not sure how this complies with ADA.

No soap no towels in the room

The pictures online for this property were misleading. While there were many staff working around the property, the building did not appear to be clean or safe. Perhaps it was just the age of the building but the sheets and blankets had makeup and other stains. The bathroom, while recently rinsed with bleach, still smelled like urine, had dirt and mess on the toilet seat, and the towels did not appear to be clean. The surrounding area did not seem safe and, while I was waiting in the lobby, 3 police officers even came looking for someone who was staying in the motel. There were several other questionable characters around the property. In the evening, there was a screaming fight in one of the other rooms but no phone in mine so I had no way to contact the front desk. As an individual traveler and single woman, I do not recommend this location for a place to stay.

This was the absolute worst 'hotel' experience that I have ever had. The building is in such disrepair that it should simply be demolished. The room I had looked as though someone came in and removed everything in it that was nailed down - no pictures, no coffee maker; only one lightbulb in the two bedside lights worked; one can't adjust the temp on the AC up or down; hotel's sheets and bedspread have cigarette burn holes in them; slowest internet service I have ever seen and even that ended at about 9:45 PM. I don't care how cheap it is, it is NO bargain.

We check in around 12am on 11/14, the location it pretty rough looking. We were told they were out of room keys, and we would get one soon. So they unlocked our door for us, but we never recieve a key, lucky we were only there til 8am, the place had trash all up and down the halls ways and stair cases, dirty wash clothes laying on the stair cases, cigarette buts, and cracker wrappers. Got into our room, and was pretty disappointed, dirty pillow cases, hairs all over bathroom floor, no remote for the tv or TV guide, no coffee kettle for the coffee maker, Cobb webs in the corners, and we didn’t have an toilet paper in our room, my husband went and ask for some and we were given half a roll. Didn’t really have any experience with staff members, the check in lady was nice but the this place good definitely use some cleaning, all over the place.
