I stayed overnight for an early morning flight out of JAX. I paid $5/night to leave my car parked at the hotel until my return ($3/night cheaper than the airport long-term parking). Shuttle service to and from the airport was fantastic. Hotel staff were super friendly and helpful. Bed was very comfortable. It's a basic hotel--I cannot judge breakfast because I had to leave at 4 a.m. I'm planning to stay there again for my next early morning flight.

I got a bad gut feeling but got my bag and went to my room anyway, it also smelled horrible and to say the rooms were outdated was a understatement. They did seemed clean but I knew I wouldn't get any sleep there because people in the parking lot were playing loud music like it was a party. I decided to go with my gut and drove 2 hours at 3 am to another spot. I will never book here again or recommend booking here.

If you are in jax for and overnight stay on the very cheap because even their going rate per night is not adequate, proceed with caution. The pictures on line are very different than what you see when you open the room door. Chipped paint on the walls and carpet, the socket next to the bed had mold on it, the towel rack in the bathroom was rusted, the room was dark and depressing. Not to mention the room door looked as if it had been kicked in at some point in the past. Thankfully I travel with my own travel door lock. I will not be staying at this hotel ever again. Single ladies be safe at this establishment by yourselves. As in Florida it rained most of the night and that’s bad because the tv and wifi are satellite so good luck with entertainment.. then again we all have phones these days.

The stay was good. The room was clean. The food was fair. The pool was clean with plenty of chairs. No resturants or anything within several miles. The only negative thing I can say is that our room had an odor. The halls did not but our room did.

Standard room. Older side with wear and tear showing. But it had the basics that we needed for our night to sleep so we could get to airport early next morning.

It’s a super convenient location if you’re headed to the airport. You can even leave your car parked there until you get back. The service that took us to the airport was top notch. Great stay. I can’t think of anything I didn’t like.

A fairly good stay with friendly staff. I highly recommend this hotel.

The hotel, common spaces, floors, ect. were extremely clean. Our room however, it was in disrepair. The porcelain was wearing off the bathtub in chunks. The brown wall next to the bed a numerous white blotches on the wall. Would be easy to slap some paint on it! The free breakfast was normal, except the toaster worked great and they kept the coffee pots full! All of the staff was great and the pool was refreshing!

Location, right next to the airport. Sole reason we booked our stay was for ease and convenience of making a very early flight. They offered free shuttle service to the airport. We checked in and reserved/confirmed a spot on the shuttle. When we went down in the morning we were informed “the shuttle was cancelled and that we were on our own”. Unacceptable. No effort was made to rectify the situation. We were told to call a cab or uber…..again unacceptable. No effort was made by staff. We had to scramble to make our flight. Very disappointed. 0 stars.

This property should close for renovations and staff overhaul. I stayed there Apr 14 thru 16. The overnight clerk who worked from 11pm to 7am had a horrible attitude and behaved as if she had better things to do. The rooms smelled like bug spray and practically in disrepair. I experienced this unfortunately in 2 rooms because the 1st room had a super strong smell of bug spray. The 2nd room was only a little better. The linens were dingy as if they were never changed since the beginning of the property opening decades ago. I would recommend potential travelers to pass on this property & stay elsewhere.

Location, beds were not bad. There was a horrible smell in the room and there were live roaches. There was no outlet cover on one outlet, a hole in one of the other outlet covers. Walls looked horrible. There was a huge stain on the desk chair.

The bed and pillows were extremely comfortable. The hotel definitely could use some upkeep. While we were sitting beside the pool two maintenance workers came out for a 15 min break and were parked right next to the pool blaring music from their car which they also reeved the engine of. It was very unprofessional.

The entire building, from the lobby to the rooms, smells like old wet socks. The smell was horrendous. The beds were comfy, probably the only positive. The breakfast had rotting bananas and oranges, cold French toast sticks and burnt sausages. There was barely anything to pick from.

I was able to pay $5.00 a day for parking while we went to New York for a few days. Definitely cheaper than airport parking and they provide shuttle there and back to your vehicle.

The carpet was very dirty. The facilities are very dated. As if that wasn’t enough they charge a $100 deposit in case you smoke in the room. Perhaps a good vacuum would be a good investment.

My room was clean but out dated. The AC blew super loud. It was so loud blowing through the vents that I thought it was rain and windy outside.

Breakfast was just ok, no spoons the last two days, no milk Outside pool area - tables broken Shampoo and body wash only, no conditioner, lotion, etc.

Many aspects of room, paint off and chipped, needed painting badly! Carpet just outside of room totally worn out!

The Breakfast was not good. Not even the cheapest of meats was on the menu. Only one half of the toaster worked. The room was clean But the fixtures in the bathroom are badly rusted and the rooms need to be painted. The Toilets are too Low not good for bad knees. Carpets in the Hallways need replacing.

Needed to ask for airport shuttle. No USB ports in room. Needed serious upgrade. Sheets rough, didn’t appreciate the bed at all. Kinda yucky. Clean, but yucky.

The airport shuttle wasn’t working, which the receptionist couldn’t explain. No one offered to reimburse our taxi costs. Breakfast was far from perfect. I can understand if the owner doesn’t believe in meat, but for me, corn was a poor substitute. Maybe some sliced cheese would be better. Something that adds protein to the meal.

The room had no soap, I had to go to the front desk and ask for more. Other than that, it was ok. I had more of an issue with the transportation company the hotel contracts out as an airport shuttle. They were unreliable. We had to call the hotel and ask for them to send a shuttle when other hotels had shuttles showing up every 5 minutes. Then this morning, there were about 5 people trying to get to the airport and the shuttle was 30 minutes late. The hotel tried to call them several times, and no one answered. I guess the driver overslept. We almost missed our flights.

The hotel is undergoing renovations. However the room was nice.

No airport shuttle which is why i booked there. Girl at desk said it's complimentary, not includedi our room fare, so they don't need to help us. Hallways smelled like Marijuana. Wall & window cushion had white stains on them.

I waited 35 minutes to check in but no one was at the desk to help me. I ended up leaving and staying somewhere else.

They advertised an airport shuttle and it was broken. When I checked in, the person at desk said she would call me in about 20 minutes to let me know if it was running. I went out for dinner. I stopped at desk to check and that’s when she told me it wasn’t running. The breakfast was sub par.

I was only in one night. The gentleman that checked me in was very good, including having me check the phone worked (it didn't) so that my 530am wake up could be done by knocking on the door (it wasn't unfortunately) the facilities were clean. The ac unit was old and missing button covers it did work, albeit a bit noisy. The airport shuttle was right on time. Other than being glad I had set up multiple alarms on my phone, I was satisfied.

Great room. A most convenient and comfortable stay. Passing through on a drive to the Keys. Stopped so I could visit friends in Jax. Loved it, and may well visit again. Just unfortunate that the lobby entrance was closed for construction.

The room was spacious which was nice but the bed was very uncomfortable. In addition, the air conditioning was very noisy and right next to the bed and that prevented a good night sleep.

We stay there for the bus service to the airport. We reserved our time and waited, and waited. We were finally told the bus wasn’t running, so we had to get an uber at 5:00 am and almost missed our flight. Upon our return we called for the bus and were told we were too late. We aren’t real happy with the Microtel right now.

I was there for one night. The A/C was loud and noisey, so I turned it off. The walls are paper thin and I could hear the people in the next room, an additional facter to insufficient sleep. The receptionist was VERY helpful and knowledgeable. They are updating the location, so progress in motoion. I would seek another location due to the loud, old HVAC and paperthin walls.

This was the worst hotel I ever stayed at. The cable was not working and we were booked for two nights. Who wants to be in a hotel where you can’t watch Tv. The second night someone was stumping Al night onesomeone

Staff very courteous. The hotel is under renovation which I did not expect and I felt unsafe at first. After talking to the staff, I felt better.

The next morning while getting ready, we saw a German roach on the wall. Seeing a roach in daylight usually means there’s a bigger issue. I wouldn’t recommend this hotel. There’s a reason it’s so cheap, spend the extra money and stay somewhere else.

Carpet in room looked dirty. The rooms need a refresher! Everything is outdated. Upon checking in I’m certain we were told breakfast was until 10, however it ended it 9:30. Another gentleman came down looking for breakfast as well and he too mentioned that he was told it ended at 10.

Wyndham should be ashamed that their name is attached to this hotel. This is no regular Microtel. This is a converted Crack hotel to a subpar hotel/motel. The furniture was old and outdated. The refridgerator didnt work. There was a bug in my bathtub, and get this, A baby roach in the non-working refrigerator. I picked this hotel as a last minute stay. Previous Micotel hotels were not bad like this one. I didnt even sleep under the covers. I had an early morning flight so I just showered and left

The hotel itself was very good and the staff there is amazing and helpful. I really like staying here because of the convenience of leaving my car there and taking the shuttle to the airport when I have an early flight. The reason I’m only giving three stars is because of the unreliability of the shuttle service. Jefferson at the front desk was kind enough to take me to the airport in his personal vehicle because the shuttle didn’t show and I was going to miss my flight. There was also a problem with the shuttle on the return. I will only stay here again once I know they’ve gotten the problems with their shuttle service straightened out. Sad because it is a very convenient place to stay when I have a very early morning flight.

Construction makes for a hard stay

This can not be a Wyndham hotel. So old, so run down. Breakfast was the same every day and just reheated the previous days food. Bananas and oranges were so old. No breakfast staff. Front desk had to do both jobs. Poor girl. We had to ask every day for more coffee. I would not recommend this place. I tried to get a refund and go to another hotel. Hotels.com would not respond. Plus no ice for our whole stay. All we got from staff was sorry

No one at counter for check in. I waited 10 minutes for someone to show up. The room was not inviting, very old, need updating and painting,etc. breakfast was TERRIBLE. Went to make Gritz, no hot water. In fact, there was no water available at all for drinking nor to fill your own water bottle. Coffee was not hot and ran out. . Paula was very sweet and accommodating. She made fresh coffee as soon as we told her. Very nice person. She was very personable and helpful. No ice in the building to be found. Will NEVER stay in a Microtel again and will tell friends and family of our experience. I would like a refund.

The room was very small and outdated, and felt somewhat unclean.There was construction happening on the exterior during our stay. The airport shuttle was slow, and the instructions on how to find it were confusing. We waited 30 minutes and had to call 3 times to confirm it was still coming. While the hotel offered a free breakfast,it was very limited options. It ended at 9:30am, and fresh food was not restocked after 8:50, which was disappointing. Thankfully the price was inexpensive, as we only needed a place to sleep the night before our cruise.

Room smelled funky, and when turning the AC on it smelled like urine. The shower was broken and sprayed water all over the wall and ceiling so we didn’t want to shower. The curtains had a gap above them so if you’re trying to sleep in or go for blackout by closing the curtains, it doesn’t quite work. Staff was polite and the free breakfast was nice. For one night it was doable.

Unfortunately, this hotel has gone downhill. They had ongoing construction that's been going on for about a year. And they happen to put me in a room where my first wake up call was Drilling straight to my bedroom at 6:45 in the morning the drilling was so loud that it woke me up and I was unable to get back to sleep and it went on for hours. I tried to get a refund but because I booked through a third party site I wasn't allowed to so the only thing they could do was change my room to the opposite side where no children was going on. My second one was okay but the carpet smelled. The breakfast was kind of run down smashed hash browns and some type of me that I couldn't even really tell what it was. The staff was okay one front desk person in the morning was really helpful and polite. However I probably wouldn't stay here again until they complete their renovations an update a few things.

Our room was probably one of the smaller on the property. While small it did come with a queen size bed, a coffee maker, fridge, and microwave. The water pressure wasn’t great but the water was nice and hot. Comfy bed. Great a/c. Staff is really nice. Quick shuttle service from the airport once you call. We didn’t make it to breakfast.

I’ve stayed 2 times in this hotel, is the less expensive in the area with better reviews. It’s not bad, mostly if it’s for a short period of time (1-2 nights). This time they charged me 6 dollars for the parking.

The first room had a heavy mildew smell and there was mold behind the refrigerator. The baseboards seemed to have water damage. We asked for a room on a higher floor and were given keys to two rooms. The first one smelled or mildew. The second one had an odor but not as strong. They did offer to not charge for the second night so we could change hotels. The place appears to have water damage cover up.

The staff was good to us. The rooms were nice in a nice location, not too far from the flea market and from a lot of other shopping centers and restaurants.

This is a very nice hotel and was perfect for my purposes on this trip. The room was clean and in great condition. The breakfast was outstanding.

Rooms are very small, but have everything that you need. The soap pump in the shower could have worked better and the bathroom towel bar metal was peeling. Very convenient location to the airport. Staff were pleasant.

Migrant looking people also checking in at the same time as me. Receptionist was a nice young lady, so felt a little safer. Would not recommend for single young woman traveling.

Drove 13 1/2 hours to get there. It was late. Key didn’t work. Exit door closest to my room didn’t work. We were on the 1st floor (104). The room immediately smelled like mildew. We were too exhausted to change the room. I was with the men in my family and they did not want to put up a fuss. I will not reserve again. You get what you pay for with this one.

Personal customer service, they treat you like you matter. Courteous, friendly and kind! Every employee I came across on my stay made me feel welcomed and wanting to come back!

Very nice for price, great location. Workers were nice. Carpets and bed was older but clean. Could use an update. Shuttle was on time and friendly. Left prior to breakfast. The phone and alarm clock did not work. Not a big deal but. Would stay again.

We enjoyed our stay except the 2nd floor occasionally smelled of weed and would enter our room some. The room needed some paint and picture repairs, but other than that it was nce!

We use this hotel every time we fly.

The only issue I had is it had poor water pressure. The showerhead didn’t put it out strong enough other than that to stay was OK. I would stay there again, but I was disappointed with the shower.

Phaula was amazing. The level of professionalism and her warm and welcoming demeanor was very refreshing. She helped with transportation and was very informative on nearby restaurants and other accommodations.

I always like to stay here when I come to Jax. Staff is always real friendly and accomodating

It was clean, but in the pool area, all the patio furniture were broken it made me feel cheap. Also the air conditioner was too loud I couldn’t sleep. If I turn it off then it was too hot. Breakfast was good and staff were friendly

Your front desk staff was absolutely wonderful and understanding and helped me out when I made a mistake with my booking. I wish I would have got his name. He was so sweet and patient with me which was helpful in my time of need.

I'm upset with Yogi who was at the desk Monday the 19th and Tuesday the 20th. He doesn't seem to know how to handle situations. First on Monday the pool was locked and on Wednesday my neighbor was knocking on the adjoining door. I stay there every time I visit Jacksonville. Next time I'll stay somewhere else.
