The walls are PAPER thin. We were placed in a room on the first floor next to laundry and the door slamming started at 6am. Unfortunately, we only stayed one night so there was no need to ask for a different room.

The guest above us stomped back and forth continuously from 9pm-3:30 am. Contacted the front desk repeatedly with no resolution. Had a 10 hr drive the following morning and got very little rest. How does the staff not address this?! Kept saying they didn’t hear anything like we were making it up?! Never again.

Great value and convenient location. It was also very quiet. I had no problems sleeping. It was a little rundown, but still pretty clean.

Good breakfast. Would like to have real cream again for the coffee. Comfortable beds. Well kept up. Well designed—lots of nice little amenities like water bottle fountain, washing machine, darkening blinds.

The breakfast was a definite highlight. Delicious for a continental breakfast.... The room was sub clean, the location was great. The night manager was not my cup of tea. But the female day manager was great

Overall I enjoyed my stay. From the staff to the convenience of dining around the facility. Only bummer was that the jets did not work in the hot tub. Granite, I was told if they didn’t work (after I asked how to turn them on) that they would send someone down to check it out. However my wife was already by this time. Other than that, I’d DEFINITELY return for another stay! (Thank you Ms. Kim, and Ms. Taylor)

Rust in the bathtub, and the tub felt like a death trap just getting in. Room had hair in the floor and didn't smell clean I ended up buying air freshener for the room. Tune ca/c unit thermostat on the wall is not user friendly and hard to operate.

The door next door kept slamming closed. In other words the trip was great.

The mattress was old and uncomfortable. I could feel the springs no matter how i tried to sleep. Left with a bruise on my hip. The front desk attendant was a bit rude with a attitude, like she didn't want to be there, when i checked in. I didn't feel welcomed at all. She was however nicer at check out.

This property was very nice for the price. The breakfast was really good, except turkey sausage (yuck). This property I felt for us was really nicely located to several beaches. We were there for the Mayo clinic and also not far from the Mayo clinic. We plan to stay at this property on future visits. Very nice seafood options too, within a 1/2 mile of the property.

As soon as you walk in your hit in the face with old hotel smell. Bath tub had rust on it, tub filled up while I showered & never drained. The sheets smelled like they weren’t dried all the way, musty like. The whole hotel had a back out for a few min. I was supposed to stay 2 nights. I booked a room at a different hotel and will chalk up the $189. as a lost.

They do not have an Ethernet connection for your laptop only very unsecured Wi-Fi. The pool was not clean and was not being filtered which is disgusting (dead bugs, dirt and still-water!) no complementary water at desk and they do not have a ice-maker on each floor you have to travel to another floor

We stayed here for two nights to visit Atlantic Beach for part of a family vacation. It was a nice hotel stay. The property was well-maintained, and the pool was okay. The breakfast area was spacious, large enough to order pizza and eat it there! We enjoyed our stay here.

We had a great stay at the Holiday Inn Express in Jacksonville, Florida. It’s a fully renovated, comfortable, and clean, hotel just 9 minutes from the beach. The included breakfast was surprisingly good, and the pancake machine was a fun touch! Service was very good as well. The only downside was the poor room soundproofing—we could hear everything from the next room, including their TV. Still, it was a good value for the price, it was definitely worth it.

Everything was good except there was an unknown fan (exhaust?) that always ran and could not find a switch for that must have a bad motor since it made annoying noise all night and made it hard to fall asleep

The property was being renovated elevators smelled was dirty and dusty.. they put me in a room on a floor that was being completely renovated 30 painters sheetrock people I broke out in hives just looking at room 2 mins tops. was put in smaller room. still very noisy and the beds were very uncomfortably. was not a good experience at all

This place was a mess. They were painting the hallway and we had to put up with the smell. The tv, telephone, WiFi didn’t work. The pool was nasty and the outdoor poolside toilet was covered in poop. There was no indoor pool available as said in the advertisement. The fridge leaked water. The toilet handle was broken. I feel like I should get a refund.

Loved our 2 night stay. We came in to visit family and everything was great! The room was clean and the bed was super comfortable! The pool was nice, the temperature was not too hot or cold. It is in a decent location to the beach, stores, gas and a fantastic Greek restaurant (Olympia Cafe)

Nice place. Only dislike for me was the extremely bright light that surrounded the bathroom mirror. And only one switch for both bathroom lights, so had to deal with it in order to have any light in the bathroom.

Once again, Holiday Inn lived up to expectations. The staff was super friendly and offered great suggestions for beach access and local restaurants. The location is perfect—just a 10-minute drive to the Beaches Town Center, where you’ll find a beautiful beach, great shops, and a variety of dining options, all with a charming small beach town vibe. The rooms were very clean, including the bathrooms, which were spotless—something we really appreciated. The hotel property is also very well lit, which was important for us since our puppy enjoys late-night walks. The breakfast area was clean, well-maintained, and constantly replenished—huge plus! It’s both family-friendly and pet-friendly, and we’ll absolutely stay here again the next time we’re in Jacksonville. Big thanks to the staff for a great stay!

This hotel is not in your usual neighborhood type - more homes and small businesses but don't let that put you off. It is very clean and a short drive from all kinds of entertainment. Be sure to make the drive to Beach Town Center!

The hotel was nice and clean and the staff were friendly. However the hotel noise is too much for my wants/needs. We were on the bottom floor and you could hear the people up stairs stomping and people being loud a lot at night. I didn’t get the rest I had hoped for. Other than that, it’s a nice hotel. If you are someone who startles easily or is easy to wake up,you may want to being ear plugs.

I really like this hotel. Reasonably priced. You need a car to get to things, including the beach (it’s a very long walk). Very clean. We did see a silverfish in our room, but generally an outstanding stay at a very good hotel. The staff is well trained and courteous. Breakfast (included) was very good.

I thought the breakfast selection was great. All in all not a bad stay.

The front desk lady did not seem welcoming. She looked annoyed at my presence. None of the staff that i encountered spoke to me. The whole experience was over priced. Not worth it.

Check in was smooth, and was able to check in early. The rooms were great, comfortable and roomy. The staff was accomodating. I enjoyed my stay.

We are going to the Naval Base it is 2 miles away. It is very clean and easy check in. Everyone was super nice. We are leaving too early to eat the breakfast but I love that they have coffee in the lobby with the good creamer!

The room was nice. Everything was clean but the tv was halfway working. The tv would make a loud buzzing noise in between episodes. Also the bed was very stiff. You could feel the boards as you laid down. Either it was an old mattress or just in poor condition overall.

Also when I checking the receptionist never told me it was a a $50 deposit. Which i don’t have any problem with that but it will be nice to let customers, all she said was swipe your card I knew I did everything thu Expidia so I wasn’t sure. Other than that the hotel is amazing looks new, I love it.

Economy friendly. Good for a family with the pull out couch and 2 queen beds. Standard hotel, clean and good ac every time we stay. Close to everything without the headache of parking and traffic for Jacksonville Beach.

The hotel was not far from my son’s house, which was very nice. It was not as nice as the one in Williamsburg, Virginia, where I stayed a few times. But still nice. My biggest complaint with Holiday Inn express is it should not take two weeks… Almost 11 to 12 days before I get my deposit back, that is unacceptable. Other than that, no complaints.

It’s a great place for sleep, the breakfast has the necessary. The pool area needs to be cleaned. The staff is amazing. And the cleaning staff are great. Overall great experience.

I love this place it's quite and very clean.

Room was comfortable but you had to beg the maids for service. No towels or cleaning or TP unless you drag it out of them. No exhaust fan in the bathroom. Huge language barrier but still mostly rude. Front desk people could care less, just answer your questions or do what you ask, no please or thank you. The lady cooking the breakfast was very sweet but food was sub-par at best, even if it was free. Great location but will not recommend.

Everything was excellent with the hotel. King bed was extremely comfortable and the room and bathroom were exceptionally clean. Except for the fact that the walls did not block the sound of the TV in the room next to us and the guest has the TV on loud until we finally called the front desk at 3a to ask them to turn it down, which they did. Only it was back on again at 8a the very next morning.

The rooms were clean, though the bathroom had mold growing in areas which are not often seen, such as under the shower’s grab bars.

I appreciated the proximity to Naval Station Mayport.

Booked a room, only to show up to none available. Still charged me and won't refund my money telling me that I no showed. Basically called me I liar. Total fraud. Will not do business with Expedia or Holiday Inn again.

It was an ok stay, but staff at front deck were not friendly at all. When I would come in or leave, they would not even look up from their computers. . This is the first time I have ever heard people stomping around all night long. The bare flooring looks nice but it is so noisy.

Little hard to go to parking, due to street median devider..... Anything else was very good

To me the front desk lady that night was so dry and unwelcoming. I’m half Asian and come from a respectable family and I was treating her nice and couldn’t get anything nice from her. My wife though she had no problem with her but I just saw her as u welcoming from the beginning I didn’t want her help with anything.
