The staff was great!! We had a wonderful stay and the breakfast was delicious!!! Will definitely stay here again!!

The highlight of our trip to Jacksonville was the hotel where we stayed. The hotel staff—always smiling, helpful, and exemplifying true hospitality—along with the cleanliness of the hotel and the quality of the delicious, varied breakfast, left a lasting impression on us.

The breakfast was pretty good for a cheaper hotel and the room was very comfortable! I also liked the size of the bathroom!! There was also a really good Mexican restaurant withing walking distance as well as a gas station for dinner/ snacks! We were here for a couple of days preparing for a cruise, and we were not very close to activities. We did see a movie and go to a couple stores. We walked anywhere we went and some sidewalks were good but others didn't feel the safest.

Front desk clerk was so pleasant and kind. I had a late arrival and the young lady on the morning shift let me know I no worries, a note will be placed in the system and told me to have safe travels. Kitchen staff were sweet and very helpful. Housekeeping and front desk were very sweet. 10/10

Overall, the property was pretty nice. Breakfast was good, much as you would expect at any Hampton Inn. Most of the staff were very kind, courteous, and helpful. One was a bit aloof. My biggest disappointment was that the pool was broken, so I didn't get to use it for my entire trip. They claimed it had just broken recently, but the pool was quite green and looked like it had been down for weeks.

It took me almost 30 minutes to get into my room due to defected keys and improperly working door lock. First maintenance guy couldn't help, 2nd one was fantastic. Front Desk clerk did not even apologize after my 3rd request for a new key. Front door locked at 8pm, I like that but the lock should work and it didn't. Having to wait 5 minutes to be let in at 815pm is not acceptable service.

We checked in Friday afternoon. Put our luggage in the room and went to meet family members for dinner. When we got back to the room, we checked out the room and found a couple issues that we did not like. The smoke alarm kept beeping and the floor outside of the bathroom was very slippery, from some unknown substance. A few minutes later, my wife got ready for bed. As she sat on the bed, she felt something bite her on the back of her leg. When she got up, there were bed bugs where she was sitting. I informed the front desk staff and requested a room change. The staff advised me that they were completely booked out for the weekend. We checked out right away and requested a refund.

I have always experienced a better-than-average stay at Hampton Inns in the past. For this stay, although the service personnel were reasonably friendly and helpful, the bed was very uncomfortable (big hump in the middle)

The breakfast was what we expected- nothing fancy but at least one step above continental. The staff was pleasant and provided any extra things requested. The beds and pillows were hard.

It started before we arrived. I tried to call to ask questions the day before our trip and no one would answer the phone. I tried at different times with no response. When we arrived I was able to check in on the Hilton app. We got settled in and within an hour we saw roaches crawling on the TV stand. I went to the bathroom and they were there too. I went to the front desk immediately and there was no one there. We stood there for 5 min I called the front desk and still not anyone came. When someone finally came out I told her about the roaches and she says Oh Would you like to move rooms. I say yes she offers the room right next door I tell her we want another floor. She updated the room number but this deactivated my digital key. Thank goodness my husband was still in the room. She did say sorry as we walked away. We moved to a new room and the roaches were there too. I have never stayed at any Hilton hotel this bad. The rooms smelled of mildew it was awful. If it wasn't so late at night we would have left. I had to shake all of our clothes and bags out before leaving to ensure nothing got in our bags and I wasn't taking the vermin home. The service at this hotel was the absolute worst and I will never stay here again. I hope Hilton does something about it. I'm sure they don't want their brand attached to a hotel so poorly run.

The handicapped accessible bathroom in my room was in need of some sprucing up. The shower appears very worn and the baseboards in the bathroom are in need of paint. The carpet in the hallway was stained and nasty looking.

We did not eat breakfast; the location was great. When I first went into the lobby, no one was at reception, so I found the women's bathroom to use....the toilet was covered in vomit, and no toilet paper. the a/c in our room kept me up all night, sounding like a jet taking off...worst. the the bathroom was dusty and the carpet in front of our room looked like the vacuum had dumped its load. Hotel was full due to bus trip people were stuck there, so they hung out in breakfast area, so there weren't any seats available for us to sit, so my husband and I just went out for breakfast. Would have been kind of the bus people to be offered a conference room so they could play there games. I felt bad for them. Hotel was great otherwise, I will stay there again if I need to

The room had lots of bugs. Under the bed and couch had not been cleaned in what looked like months or more. I took pictures if anyone wants to see them. I had a 4 night reservation. I checked in and checked out within about 7 hours. I couldn’t sleep knowing there was so many bugs in the room. Woke up with bugs on my personal belongings. I’ve never been so uncomfortable in a hotel. I was so stressed out that the next hotel I approached for inquiring about staying with them, I asked if I could look at their rooms before I committed to staying with them. They happily accommodated me and made the rest of my trip smooth. They even gave me a discount on my stay with them because they felt so bad for my experience at your hotel.

After our staying in your Rocky Mount dump, i didn't things could get much worse.(Rocky Mount featured ongoing construction with tha air filled with dust on the 2nd floor and the food was disgusting.) Jacksonville featured inedible food and a staff who could care less. Never again and I'm telling all my friends. Paid almost $200 for the night.

Beautiful and elegant hotel. Staff are amazing. Well trained. Professional, polite helpful above and beyond. Everything very clean. No complaints. Specially the lady who prepares breakfast, mrs. Tina & Mrs Wendy wow, what an amazing helpful patient with the kids and older people there very clean very organized this country and world need people like her. Praise and glory to God for these amazing women. They should train so they can be an example to others. To love and respect others and their jobs. Thank you and lots of blessings. We will keep coming to this hotel. A perfect 10.

Had to cancel due to illness of grandchildren, which would have affected my health. I explained all this to the hotel and to hotels.com and they both lied to me. The hotel said thathotel.com had to give me the refund andhotel.com said the hotel was supposed to give me the refund and no one got back with me or did anything. I purchased the booking protection and should have gotten a full refund, but nobody did anything. The booking protection is fake and all parties are liars. I will never ever use hotels.com again. I was staying at Hampton quite often in different areas when I travel, but I will never use them again and neither will my family members.

Cons: Jacksonville in the summer is blazing hot and humid. The hotel rooms seem to suck in that humidity so that towels, bedding, clothing - everything seems wet. I heard several people remark about how humid the rooms were. Floors were not swept well. The maids removed trash and changed towels, but did not make beds. Lightbulb in my room went out- took two days to get it changed. Tub was slippery - had to ask for a rubber mat. Shower doesn’t get very hot and water pours from the faucet when the shower is on. We won’t stay here again.

The room was in slight disrepair and quite filthy. The ceiling in the bathroom was covered with hair and small dead insects. The corner shelves in the shower were loose and couldn’t hold my body wash bottle, so I had to sit it on the floor of the shower.

The rooms are in need of a deep cleaning and the property itself is getting run down. The staff was incredibly helpful and nice. They were very busy cleaning the public areas of the hotel, I just wish that attention to detail was also performed in the rooms.

One staff person was extremely out of line, rude and obnoxious and proceeded to rant nonstop.

Inadequate water pressure in shower and very little pressure because bottom of tub faucet leaked. No safe available in room or at Main counter. Refrigerator made rattling noise all night along with vibration from room air conditioning unit in window frame. Disrupted sleep. Not recommended.

When we checked into our room, it smelled like a kennel, reported it to the front desk and they gave us access to another room which smelled just as bad, so we decided to stay in our original room. We actually went out and purchased Febreze for pets and it still couldn't get rid of the smell. And secondly the TV had a blue tint to it and with no option (according to front desk) to get it replaced. Overall it was just a place to sleep. Only saving grace was breakfast.

The room had a slight amount of wear but was very clean and comfortable with plenty of amenities and space to put travel items. Spacious bathroom with large vanity surface for toiletries. All the staff we encountered were courteous and professional and the breakfast was above what we expected with some selections that changed daily.

I liked that there were a couple of restaurants within walking distance.

Terrific staff. The hotel is clean and the rooms are nice. Breakfast buffet is wonderful. We travel to Jacksonville several times a year and always stay here. Employees are efficient and friendly .

Rm 504 shower only trickles, microwave door kept sticking, closet door wouldn't open completely. Breakfast was great.

Hotel was very clean and comfortable with a good breakfast. Check in was okay but even with checking in on the app I still had to go to the front desk, which was not a problem, but did sort of defeat the contactless check in. Check out was super easy thru the app.

I mentioned to Lamar that our room smelled terrible - like an old dirty dog. I’m used to Hampton Inns to being fresh, & remodelled - this one is quite tired. We pay extra to stay in the Hilton chains. The people were lovely. Breakfast was delicious

Desk staff were welcoming too. Our room was right behind the elevator #301. It was noisy at night. We can hear people coming and going and the elevator dinging. Otherwise, 2 days stay was ok. Area was safe.

The staff at this hotel was wonderful very accommodating and very pleasant to deal with. I parked my car on the back of the hotel because my room was on the back first floor. At night outside having a cigarette in my car I noted some homeless folks coming out of the woods behind the dumpster use caution at night time around the hotel. I would say the pool was a bit unkept and definitely not heated. Very cold couldn't get in to swim unfortunate I was very much looking forward to it.

Due to my health I can't visit Jacksonville as much but every stay has been great, my room accommodate my condition I'm slightly handicap.. The staff has been great... I love and enjoy my visit... Thanks to all your helpful staff..

Room 411. Part of window covered by very thin curtain and many lights outside. Drapes could not cover the part of window over air conditioning system.

The LVT or tile floors throughout, were a bit cold, and our mattress was ready for retirement! The room was exactly as advertised. Plenty of outlets and lights throughout. The shower had nice pressure and was roomy. The breakfast was very good! There was a variety of food that changed everyday, but then there were the fruit and pastries, oatmeal bar, and 2 make your own pancake stations. A short walk takes you to Ruby Tuesday's & Cantina Louie's - A MUST STOP FOR MEXICAN FOOD & MARGARITAS! Plenty of parking in a well lit lot.

Great stay. Convenient location and great staff. My preferred place to stay when I visit Jacksonville. I’m a loyal person so when I like something, I stick with it until conditions change and I’m forced to leave.

The fit and finish is not up to Hampton standards. Elevators were hot, slow and noisy. Room looked redone but the work was subpar.

They gave us two room that wasn't even cleaned yet. Halls and elevator were dirty and hot. Beds uncomfortable. A/c wasn't consistent. It was either too hot or too cold

The hotel room was marvelous and the front desk was wonderful.

I was not able to check in because of minimum age policy. Traveller was 18. Hotels.com clearly stated on website that their minimum age was 18. When I arrived I was told it was 21 and was not allowed to check in, And I lost 150$ as the reservation was made that same day, non refundable

Stay was ok. We stayed before taking our cruise. Pool was murky and dirty. Breakfast was nice. All staff very kind helpful and friendly. Area nice felt safe.

This did not have the feel of a typical Hampton. It actually felt more like a Holiday Inn Express that had been changed over to a Hampton. It was nice and clean, there was just something that felt a little sub par to your typical Hampton.

The room was decent, however the bed was hard and there were no hooks or towel racks in the bathroom to hang wet towels. The only complaint was the noise- children running up and down the hallway @9:30pm. Other than that fine.

Found one one old sock in the chair in the room. Didn’t like the pillows as they crushed down to nothing.

Convenient to Best Bet (casino). Dead-end location. Mostly abandoned convenience store directly in front.

Check in was great. Staff was courteous & friendly. Our room was clean & tidy and the hotel was quiet. We came into town for the Luke Combs concert & had a great experience, even offering shuttle service to the venue with a small fee.

there is a walmart DIRECTLY across the street. the room was clean, no bugs, and no smell of anything funky whatso ever. I encountered 4 different staff members of different color, and all were very polite and friendly. breakfast was amazing: eggs, sausage, sausage gravy, oatmeal, cereal, scones...definately will be back again as it was for one night.
