While everything looked and felt clean, there was an odd funkiness both in the hallways and in the room. 2 different smells and neither of them good.

Rena, Maiko and the rest of the staff are extremely accommodating, hospitable, generous and helpful. Thank you for everything.

The rooms are in need of a major upgrade. Room on 1st floor reeked of mildew. Exhaust fan in the bathroom was inoperable. The ceiling had been painted over multiple times indicating this is not a new problem. There was not a single hook in the bathroom for a towel, hand towel or robe. The area of town was a bit sketchy. The decor was outdated- beat up wooden doors, carpeted baseboards, old shower head, etc. Silas at the front desk was nice & accomodated my request for another room. Breakfast was just okay. I won't be staying in another Comfort Suites.

Beds were comfortable. I appreciated the clean smell of the room. So many hotels allow pets now and rooms can sometimes have that animal smell. My only complaint is that they need curtains that close all the way so the morning light doesn’t come in if you want to sleep in a bit

No free complementary breakfast, no bun, banana, no nothing. Couple roaches were also in the bathroom.

The most important things, a clean room with a comfortable bed and pillows, along with everything in the room being in working order, were great. The staff was friendly, especially Silas. We were by the elevator and it was not noisy. The gym equipment was in disrepair with one weight stack cable apparently threaded incorrectly through its pulley system, and another with enough of its rubber sheathing worn off that it can’t travel through its pulley. Two of the weight stacks didn’t have adjustment pins. The gym had an unpleasant smell. Take your own water bottle or room cup to use the bubbler. Some of the equipment did work and the treadmill was usable but noisy. The gym was nice and cold. Breakfast was good with two flip waffle makers, some fruit and muffins, yellow discs of scrambled eggs, sausages, and some other items. It was a little strange that despite having round egg patties, there were no English muffins or bagels to make a breakfast sandwich. The coffee was good. The staff couldn’t keep up with the breakfast area messes, probably due to how many people were using that small area. People who are medically sensitive to flashing lights may want to avoid the front desk at this hotel. It has a ceiling fan right under a light fixture. There is another entrance to the lobby to avoid having to stand there, and you can speak to the front desk clerk from around the corner at the second entrance. If not for the sad gym, I’d choose this one again.

Breakfast on Sunday morning was good! It was very popular and provided for Our breakfast needs nicely. The property & parking was at capacity, but certainly adequate. Room was nice and met our needs for this Holiday Weekend. Would recommend & utilize, if in that Area again. The Location was perfect!!

The check in process was smooth. The gentleman at the front desk was pleasant. Parking was easy and in front of the hotel. The room was clean and quiet. I wish they would have serviced the room during my stay, at least removed the trash. But I guess I could have asked instead of expected. Fridge, TV, microwave all operational. I stayed during a holiday weekend so it was busy. Breakfast you can skip. The people working breakfast were very nice and kept it going, but the quality of the food was not worth standing in line for. A $50 charge has also appeared on my CC statement above the room charge, I am not sure what that is about. The website says it may come off in 72 hours, so we'll see. Again the staff was kind and interactive. The room was clean and quiet. I had a King room on the end. I never felt unsafe, and my card was not damaged in the parking lot. Blessings!

A great location for us as we were going to multiple events in Jacksonville and St. Augustine. The staff were very friendly and helpful. The room was large and comfortable. We liked the bed and pillows. Everything was clean but dated. Signage said they were going to be renovating. That would be nice. The one major disappointment was the breakfast. We don’t expect four star dining with a hotel continental breakfast but this was terrible. Firstly only white bread for toast no wheat or multigrain, no bagels or English muffins. The muffins were meh and all sugary. The buffet eggs were ok but the sausage was grey in color!! The orange juice came out PINK! And it wasn’t lemonade either. I can only drink decaf coffee and the first day there was none and the second day it was water. On a positive note the fresh fruit wasn’t bad. We went out to breakfast each day after trying the complimentary breakfast and throwing it away. All in all we would stay here again and just factor in getting breakfast elsewhere.

The property was great! Clean and air condition stayed on over night. Rooms are a good size. Breakfast was pretty good amount of options. Some meat, eggs, cereal, waffle options. Yogurt and juice. Parking was good. Nice amount of space to park. More than some other hotel lots. This was convenient for this trip because it was in the middle of everything we were needing to get to and also across the street from the JJVA facility. You can walk there. The staff was extremely nice, helpful and smiling!

Beds are uncomfortable, rooms to dark and old. Cleanliness is ok at least the bathroom. I guess was ok for the price. But doesn’t look like the pictures. I wouldn’t stay here again.

Bed was horrible, very hard and uncomfortable… definitely wasn’t expecting that for a weekend getaway, hallways were very humid/muggy… air condition in room did not function properly, by the 3rd night the air smelled of mildew!!! I wasn’t impressed with the in‑room coffee maker, and the coffee served at breakfast wasn’t much better. For the rate I paid, I expected a bit more, though the stay wasn’t terrible. On a positive note, shout‑out to the gentleman who checked me in—he was excellent and set a great first impression.

When I called the front desk they said they would contact the maintenance man. He came and sprayed a deodorant spray literally called "funk away". He sprayed it in the room, closet, air conditioner and filter. Then said "is good?" He then proceeded to leave. The order was gone for a day. It was back the very next day. We were only staying one more night, so I did not request a different room. I really wish I had. The room number was 512 and I am positive there is mold in that room. I will never stay in their hotels again, unless they fix the problems with their rooms.

we reserved a suite at the comfort suites and when we arrived and checked in Chloe was the best. She asked if we wanted to be on the second floor or first floor. We chose the first floor and so glad we did. The room was right behind the front desk, and it was very quiet, comfortable and very clean. The breakfast was typical, eggs, sausage, toast, blueberry muffins, yogurt, cereal and juice apple and orange. The staff was very helpful and very pleasant to talk to. The air conditioning in the rooms worked very well. The room has a large flat screen tv., a little fridge and microwave. There was plenty of parking and many restaurants close to the hotel. We stayed in Jacksonville, Florida. When we go back to visit, we plan on staying at the same hotel and hopefully be able to reserve the same room. Chloe gave us a card and said just call and request that room and they will reserve it for us. They pride themselves on keeping the hotel and rooms very clean. All rooms are nonsmoking which made it nice.

Nice property, large room, i don't eat breakfast but it looked very nice clean and fresh . Including waffle, eggs, sausage , fruit and more. Breakfast lady was super pleasant. All the other facilities smelled nice and fresh.

We stayed here for a volleyball tournament. Silas at the front desk was absolutely the best. He was very helpful and friendly. Our corner King room was spacious and clean. The bed had small pillows so next time I would bring my own. Other than that, the room was great. The breakfast had a couple hot choices (eggs, sausage patties, and make your own waffles) as well as muffins, fruit, cereals, yogurt, and toast. It was simple but good for a morning before a volleyball tournament. The pool looked clean and inviting but we did not have time to use this amenity. There were several restaurants and coffee places nearby as well. Overall great stay and will stay again in the future.

The hotel nether Wowed or disappointed. All in all, it was a fine hotel. If this hotel was a co-worker, you would describe them as quiet, dose their work, and goes home on time. They would not be the ambitious go-getter or the office slacker.

When we got to get to our room, as soon as we opened the door, it smelled like someone had used the restroom and didn't flush. We ignored the smell and started bringing our things in. I noticed there was a receipt on the floor partially under the bed and a cough drop and it looked like someone just pushed them both under the bed rather than picking them up. Those were frustrating things to see because that showed that the floor probably wasn't vacuumed. Then we looked up and saw a live roach on the ceiling and of course my kids weren't very excited about that, and neither was I. I told the front desk about everything and they apologized and said, oh, well I guess housekeeping needs to clean better and left it at that. We definitely won't be staying there again...

Also the workers showed up for breakfast and hada a religious time with the Koran. Im all for people practicing, but not at breakfast. The shampoo and conditioner bottles were empty making it difficult to wash our hair at all. The front desk agent was very curt and rude to us. Definitely not doing this one again.

After the 3rd night of my 4 night stay at Comfort Suites Baymeadows Near Butler Blvd, I requested housekeeping at 12:00 PM so I could return from a workout, shower, and prepare for a scheduled appointment. When I returned at 1:30 PM, my room had not been cleaned. At the front desk, I was met with an unfriendly attitude and a lack of urgency, despite explaining that I was in wet clothes and under time constraints. When I asked to temporarily use another room solely to shower, I was treated rudely and faced significant resistance. Accommodation was only provided after I insisted on speaking with management, and I was assured my room would be cleaned during that time. After showering, my key card was deactivated, requiring another trip to the front desk. Upon returning, my room was still uncleaned. Multiple phone calls to the front desk went unanswered, forcing yet another in-person visit. The staff response was dismissive and unprofessional. Housekeeping did not arrive for an additional 30 minutes, and my room was not cleaned until approximately 2:30 PM, causing me to miss and reschedule my appointment. Due to these repeated service failures, lack of basic hospitality, and the impact on my personal and professional obligations, I am requesting reimbursement for one full night of my stay. I also request that this matter be reviewed to prevent similar occurrences in the future.

Bajamos a recepción y solo tenían una en el primer piso frente al comedor y nos dijeron que era la única y que quizás escucharíamos bulla pero igualmente acepté porque es preferible esa . En líneas generales lo demás fue todo normal , el personal atento, el desayuno es básico. Las toallas estaban feas algunas un poco rotas

Very old and dated. The room smells awful like, mildew/mold. The girl who checked us in didn’t even say hi. She was on her phone talking about something she saw on Instagram. Breakfast was good.

BATHROOM SINK DRAINED VERY SLOW. SLEEPER SOFA WAS LIKE SLEEPING ON METEL RODS. MATRESS IS NO GOOD.

Staff was.great, the front desk staff answered all of our questions and concerns. The free breakfast was awesome. The only concern was the shower, slow drain and outdated.

The hotel was quiet and i felt pretty safe. The front Desk employee Rena could have been a little more friendly upon guest arrival. The room was clean but did have a slight mildew damp smell that I didnt like. The doors are worn and need replacing so make sure to use both locks. I still felt safe. The breakfast was basically a waffle bar and other breakfast options. It would nice if the coffee could be accessible all day instead just during breakfast, up until 9am. The breakfast meat option was sausage something else would've been nice. Overall I would stay there again. Everything was nice and clean and safe.

Three of us stayed at this hotel for two nights and were told housekeeping is done every three nights only. The interesting part this was not disclosed when booking nor was it disclosed upon checking in. New experience for sure!

Had a pretty good stay. The room was big, had a mini fridge and a microwave, free parking, free wifi, and free breakfast. I didn't have any issues at all. I would definitely use them again.

Good morning, I tell you when I arrived at the hotel the person at the reception had very bad attention he had a face as if he was angry and spoke rudely, now I tell you about the rooms, the smell of the covers and the sheets was as if they were badly dried, the bathtub the water was stuck, the mattresses and pillows are useless the back pain because of the mattress is unbearable

Room smelled terrible asked to be switched but there weren't mods rooms available. I was traveling with teenage boys who even said they wouldn't shower in that tub without shoes. Customer service was horrible.

We were there for a volleyball tournament. Very convenient to every thing. Great breakfast.

Staff are awesome. Rooms are dated by the colored brown paint with doors cut to fit. Parking lot is in great condition and parking lot lights allows for secure parking.

Room had musty smell that the staff attempted to cover up with lots of room freshener spray that made it difficult to breathe. For a “deluxe suite” the room was small and a bathroom so small that it was hard to maneuver in. Some staff were very friendly and others were not. Asked for a few extra towels at the front desk and employee seemed irritated with my request.

My wife and I had to cancel our trip because her sister was hospitalized the day before and now we keep getting emails saying we checked in and how is our stay.

The staff was wonderful, the room was nice and clean. The breakfast cause have been better I don’t like sausage patties and we had that every morning. Would I stay there again yes I would.

Shower had very little water pressure and paint coming off in bathroom. Bed was comfortable but one of them was unstable on its base

The door lock hatch was loose. The bathroom drain was clogged and drained slow so it made taking a shower feel like sitting in a tub of water. I attempted to call the front desk but no one answered and I didn't want to go back downstairs. At check out I wasn't asked how my stay was, just told thank you.

The hotel was clean and the breakfast was very good. I really enjoyed it. The only thing is that my bathroom sink started bubbling loudly in the night. In the morning there was black debris in the sink. The staff was prompt about changing my room which I appreciated but in that room the water was slow to go down the sink. They could do with renovations.

Super quiet and isolated

Rena was sincere and welcoming. My mother and I are here for testing at Mayo. I have to stay up for 24 hours for my test on Friday. There was a live roach in the bathroom. I am trying to stay awake so I went to the fitness center and although it was adequate- the equipment does need some maintenance and adjustments to it. I came downstairs so that my mother could continue to sleep and asked the front service clerk if it was ok that I sat downstairs and explained to him why. He seemed bothered by the question. We will be coming back to be at Mayo for 5 days and my mother will need a hotel. I am unsure if this will be the hotel. We do love the seperate space away from the beds.

Last night October 25 into 26 woman highly intoxicated screamed for hours, the front desk gave my room number to police as the source of complaint & police knocked on my door to o & kept me talking w/them and she kicked walls & police came twice to talk to her too but not much helped. She continued for hours, I got absolutely no sleep & and as scared since she likely knew I called front desk to ask or their help. I 100% should be reimbursed for that one night. I felt unsafe & like it was my problem the hotel didnt call me to see if I was ok & they shouldn’t of given my room number out since the girl causing issue was right there next door. I was afraid all night and alone.

Everything was clean and staff was really nice. Typical quality hotel breakfast. The big issue was that the room was SO humid. The AC was set to 69 and the carpet was perpetually moist. Bed sheets and blanket held moisture. Had chinese food and left and open fortune cookie on the table for a little over and hour- walked back over and it was MUSHY. It would be such a nice stay if it weren’t for how rough the humidity situation is.

Staff was friendly and helpful. Was welcomed every time we entered the hotel. Had to ask for more towels and toilet paper. Room AC was good and cold. Good location to do a variety of tourist stops without being an hour or more away from them.

Terrible area to stay, felt unsafe

I never got a confirmation number and when I got to the front desk, they did not have my name in the system nor do they have a room available for me. I am requesting a refund.

It was a nice comfortable and quiet room. Breakfast buffet was very nice. Room was clean except for the carpets. My feet were black 10 minutes after walking on the carpets barefooted. And the front receptionist Rena could be in a better mood, unless thats the way she always is.

We were supposed to be there for 2 nights but only stayed one and checked out the next morning.. the room had a strong mildew smell and we just couldn’t take that smell another night.

The hotel is in need of some updating. Elevators are noisy and jerky. The carpet in the hallway is lifting and curling.no water pressure in the shower.front desk staff were nice but not informative about the times for breakfast. I probably will not stay here again.

The building smells like mildew and there was mold in my room around the bed frame as well as rust and mold on the desk chair. The carpet feels damp with humidity and caused me to cough a lot. I only stayed one night but I would've immediately booked somewhere else with a longer stay. Lots of things were broken/not working.

It was not-so-good, The room had this dusty smell to it, furniture was outdated. I had to go buy a bottle of Lysol to spray the room with so I could breath. I won't be going back to that place again.

Clean hotel, Staff Friendly, Only one issue, Checked in around 4:30 pm. Got into room put everything up for the trip got organized. When I went and took a shower the tub closure knob was broken and would not let the water drain. Thought to myself not big deal they and fix. On the way back to the job at 5:30 told front desk about problem said they could fix in the morning or I could move rooms. I did not have time to move rooms. No big deal I brought in the tool I needed to repair when I returned, I repaired. Next day owner or manager called me to see if I minded if they went in to repair I told her I already did. I told I left the old on the side of the Tub. When I got back that evening the parts were still there and no one even checked it. My point on this before Covid they made up your rooms daily, They had maintenance at night. Prices are going up and service is going down. And the Hotels are not upgrading still the same hotel. Just venting

Our stay was OK until they decided not to answer the phone multiple times. I left my pillow in the room and I spoke to her and she hung up on me. I tried calling her back several times and nobody from the front desk will answer it’s a $50 pillows and I’m really upset so that shows me how they treat customer service.

The pool is not nice and the facility needs an update. My kid found an old pair of underwear behind the pullout sofa. Barf. Staff is friendly but overall I would not stay here again or recommend it it to anyone.

The pull out mattress had blood stains, mold, food stains, even the Matress cover was pure filthy my kids and I had that room. The room smelled like straight strong mold . My kids and I started to flare up from the filth. Very disappointing

Didn’t have enough to towels to hand out and complained about giving out the last of towels she did have and told me another room was going to cuss her out now. Had to leave late in the evening to go buy detergent at the gas station. Came back to people smoking weed in the parking lot. Then, on 2nd floor to do the laundry, whole floor smelled of weed. Hallway smelled like marijuana. Room did not feel clean. But sheets were clean. So noisy. Lots of Slamming doors until midnight. Beds were clean but uncomfortable. Bed made noise every time I moved. A/C would not stay on. It was so hot that the A/C could not keep up. Breakfast did not look good. Did not eat breakfast.

It was good and clean but the carpet in our room and the bed felt like moist. Almost like they sprayed something on it and didn’t dry it.

These are new owners and I was very welcomed. The buffet breakfast was perfect. Even though they had a tour bus full of people , the room was very quiet. Washer & dryer available for a fee. Bed was very comfortable too.

The hotel stay was basic but thats all me and my 12 yr old son needed. We were there for a church function and only stayed in the hotel to sleep. The rest of the days were spent outside the hotel. Great value for the price. You can't beat free parking and breakfast. That was a great win for us.

The stay was good showers was nice and hot and breakfast was ok just was repeats of the day before but had plenty of food to serve . The check in process was said to be quick and easy tru my phone, thinking all i had to do was show id and get room keys. I went tru check-in on my phones app and even added my credit card for damages, what a waste because when i get to the hotel I had to do the same process again and have my card run again for the same damages , so why even waste peoples time saying its a quicker process if i do the welcome app when i will have to do all the same process again in person. Waste of my time inputting the info and waste more of my time giving the same info once again in person as if i never did the process on the phone already. Besides this it was a good stay no problems besides a couple of girls were smoking weed by the pool while me and my children were trying to enjoy some pool time without getting contact.

As soon as you walk in the lobby it smells old and moldy. In the room your met with a moldy, mildew smell. Lights did not work in room. Very outdated. The room was so damp that the carpet felt wet, the sheets felt wet. All our clothes smelt like old mildew. We stayed for a tournament and other parents had to go to cvs for allergy medication because of the mildew smell. People were waking up with red puffy eyes because of the mold smell. Have tiny tiny bottles of shampoo etc good enough for 1 person for 1 shower. The pool was cloudy which means lots of pee in the pool or no chlorine or both, disgusting. Honestly everyone was saying this was the worst hotel we had stayed at all tournament season.

Front desk lady was super helpful and nice, always to assist all the time, A/C in the room work excellent!, clean sheets and bathroom, but I think the hotel needs to do an updated because smell humid and we found a creature inside the room and might be all over thru the walls in the hotel

The desk staff were very nice, polite and helpful. But the condition of hotel was very poorly maintained. The handles in elevator looked like was falling off and gears under elevator make loud noise. The room, the dooe lock was falling off the wall. So couldn't use it. The closet door fell off hinges. First night The stopper in bathtub popped loose and wouldn't hold water. Next time took a shower the knob to turn water on came off in my hand. Other than "Needed " maintenance on certain things the room was good. Bed was comfortable and AC worked well. The breakfast was good BUT staying more than 1 night get annoying because it is the same thing everyday. 2 types of egg patties and turkey sausage patty. Needs a variety. Maybe biscuits with gravy, or some grits, or egg, sausage and potatoes or hash brown. There are several options that could be added to make breakfast better.

The front desk swnt bug spray to the room, but it did take lo g for them to gather in piles on the ceiling and up the headboards.. couldnt rest well with that. Management did respond positively with a refund.

Excellent local property. Stayed here during my daughter’s volleyball tournament and it was a great stay. Staff were amazing, room was comfy and clean, and breakfast was delicious!! I will definitely stay again!
