Great location for what we needed. Small but clean room. Small kitchenette was great. Hard to find without GPS. Bed was great. Water pressure and hot water were adequate. I would stay here again. Excellent value.

Everyone was polite, friendly and professional. I will be back next year. We were on vacation. My mom really enjoyed the convenience of everything. It was no more than a 5-10 minute drive everywhere we went.

Accessibility to highway. Cleanliness and amenities were great. Biggest complaint is there is a huge disconnect with clean service and front desk mostly due to language barrier. Later check out time wasn't communicated and worse scenario is given a room key to an occupied room. Front desk was barely apologetic stating it happens often due to lengthier stays.. Clean service is loud so don't stay here if counting on sleeping late.

Excellent staff. Was very helpful and understood that my son was traveling on military orders to NAS JAX. Allowed us to stay a little longer to finish up our items before leaving. I’ve been impressed with Candlewood Suites and they have always been amazing places to stay at. Will come back again.

The room was clean and bedding was comfortable. The soap dispensers were low and could have been filled up better. The internet was definitely very slow and difficult to communicate with. TV’s need to be upgraded to smart TV to have greater selection.

My only complaint is the water. The water felt kind of oily. Like no matter how much I rinsed off, my skin still felt like it had soap residue. And the kitchenette sink wouldn't get hotter than lukewarm. And the water pressure in sinks and tub was very low. Though respect the fact that many people prefer low pressured, soft water. It's not My preference and detracts from an otherwise great stay

I have stayed here multiple times it's close to home and great for emergencies such as this trip when I couldn't stay at my apartment. The first few days were fantastic, nice and relaxing as you would expect for a hotel stay. Mid way through my stay I got a call from the front desk while I was out that I needed to come back and clean my room because it was disgusting. They claimed my cats, who are registered emotional support animals with paperwork to prove it, pooped on the floor. I came back and there was a tiny piece that got kicked out of the box. When I got to the hotel the front desk lady who called me handed me a trash bag to help clean it up which I thought was nice. About 10 minutes after I picked it up and cleaned the room she came back saying it was disgusting and forced me to spray what she said was febreze, so I did a few times around the box. As I handed the bottle back to her she snatched it away and said it wasn't enough and proceeded to spray every inch of my room so even if it did smell all I can smell now was the febreze, I could even taste it in the air it was so much. As she was doing this she questioned me about how many cats I have, are they both service animals, what kind of service animals, and then didn't believe me when I answered her. My two cats are both registered emotional support animals this was documented when I checked in. The biggest issue is my entire stay I had the no housekeeping and animal roommate sign on the door so no one would enter

The staff was absolutely amazing. We were staying here while our house was getting some work and flooded so we had a last minute need to find a temp home ordeal and my husband, myself and our 2 dogs were here for a little over a month and would def go back if needed. The place is nice and clean and very accommodating. There wasn't much. Maybe the washers and dryers could have been cleaner but thats not a big deal at all. It was pleasant honestly.

Studio room would definitely have been a perk if we were staying longer than a day! Having a kitchenette in room, awesomely convenient! Overall the room was great, spacious, clean, comfortable. The showerhead was kind of corroded which maybe makes it look a little dinghy at first glance. And the carpet has that feel when carpets get old and over used, where... It just feels a little sticky. Staff was excellent, incredibly friendly service.

The property needs updating. The room was very humid even with the a/c running. The towels, our clothes, the sheets felt damp because of this issue. The bed and pillows were comfortable, but the dampness issue made it hard to sleep since you felt tacky. The kitchen did supply some pots and pans but no plates, bowls or utensils. So if you plan to use the kitchen, plan on disposable I guess unless it was just an issue for our room. The chair in the room really needs to be cleaned because there was a definitely an odor from it that lingered in the air at times; again, could be from how humid it was in the room. The lobby and hallways were fine though. I tried to mention this to the front desk; however, the gentleman seemed to ignore me and the woman who tried to help I don't think understood me completely. I get it's Florida and have had humidity issues before, but this made for an uncomfortable stay.

You can see that this hotel is well maintained by staff. Staff member Elena was so friendly and kind. The rooms were very clean with plenty of space. This would be a great place to stay for an extended time with the full kitchen. Would recommend.

The manager was very rude and inconsiderate. We were dressed down in regular clothes and she judged us walking through the door like we were thugs or something. I will never stay at this location ever again.

Julian was very nice when me and my husband arrived, they explained everything to us the do's and the don't, we had to leave a credit card for any incidentals, which we had no problem with. We stayed for four days while visiting for Thanksgiving. Upon leaving we encountered a very angry man in the elevator requesting what room we were in, and we told him, we turned our keys in and required about my 50.00 deposit, and was told it would automatically be refunded to my account. While at golden coral eating breakfast, I checked my account and saw that they have charged my card 250.00, I went back to the hotel and inquired why was they charging this amount, and was told the manager said we smoked in the room, well I immediately ask the clerk to call Julian and she did, I explained to him what was going on and he said they would reverse the charges, my husband had encountered the angry man in the elevator the night before and we find out that he was the manager on site, and he got mad because my husband was still using the luggage cart, my husband was sitting in his car SMOKING, so he decided he would take his anger out on my credit card. Well I called them three times within a two week span trying to see why my money had not been refunded and I was given the run around. I had to go to my bank and request them to investigate the reversal, and thats the only way I was able to get my money back. If this had not happen we would have used them again on our next visit to Jacksonville.

Julian was so kind and helpful. Great staff experience overall. Room had everything we needed and it is within walking distance of a Publix and some restaurants.

They need to clean their room at least once during the week. We ask them to clean and the front desk guy said it’s not a holiday inn. I found that to be rude . They didn’t clean our room at all the whole stay. We stayed from Friday 9th until the 16. Their shampoo conditioner and body wash dispenser feel off the wall in the shower hit my husband in the leg. We informed the front desk lady she asked him if he needs a bandaid. The dispenser was never reinstalled .

Room was spacious and the bed comfortable and the kitchenette was well equipped. Front desk were courteous and helpful even with the shift change. My only problem was that upon entering there was a stuffy smell in the room which I could not identify and took some time to acclimate. Don’t know if it was from the A/C or just musty environment.

Awesome service clean rooms

Two things l didn't like was tye room had only one nightstand. In the age of smart phones, a buggt stand is needed for both occupants. Second was the person who was above us had heavy feet, and walked back and forth most of the first night, not much rest, and it was very frustrating...

Very clean room and the property is in a safe and quiet neighborhood. Small but very relaxing pool. Definitely will stay here again and recommend to all future guests!

Not what I expected

Check in and check out were very easy. One of the quietest hotels I've ever stayed at. We didn't use the kitchenette but it was well stocked. Quality of the room was great for the price.

The hotel needs a substantial makeover and update. More importantly, I could not close the curtains in my room. Because my room overlooked a lighted parking lot, I could not prevent the outside light from entering, thereby adversely affecting my sleep. Finally, the hotel did not offer a breakfast. Overall, the hotel was disappointing.

Staff is TERRIBLE!!!!!!!! I had a house fire and was there for supposed to be two weeks, the staff was awful we ended up staying only one week and moved hotels. They go in your room unannounced and overall are hard to deal with. Maybe if you are stopping through for a quick overnight stay but for the price and quality of service I would NOT RECOMMEND!!!!!

Wife was told after check out from front desk that we got a noise complaint on a Friday night. Not sure how they were being to “loud”, I was asleep and didn’t hear my family being to loud to deserve a complaint. They were watching a movie together and I would say it’s standard noise. I guess we aren’t allowed to enjoy our stay at this hotel. I understand other guest are present, but as an introverted family that doesn’t like being out much, and only having 1 kid, apparently we aren’t allowed to make any noise.

The room did not smell good and there were bugs on the beds and floors. We changed rooms but we were hitching all over.

On first appearance, it was clean for an older property but later at night I discovered that it had numerous stray cats outside in the parking lot and surrounding area. Inside, the sink in the bathroom was very slow to drain. The television remote would not control the volume which the person at the front desk could not me with. Another was not offered, despite other rooms being available.

I liked that hotel is located within 2 walking minutes from Publix. I also liked the kitchen with stove , sink and the fridge. Staff was very friendly. Unfortunately, tv and bathroom fan were out of order. But when I brought that to staff’s attention, they were fixed promptly. Overall I had good experience, thank you.

Front desk staff was rude and zero help on answering any questions about local eateries. There was mold all around the bathroom including inside the shower.

Con: First time I have ever seen actual bugs in the open in a hotel. I saw 2 small ones within minutes of entering the room. I would have said they were roaches, but could not tell from the picture I got of one, also in 20 yrs of living in FL, I've never seen one so small. I appreciate how hard it is to keep bugs out in Florida, but it was still a surprise. The bathroom sink had very large and long cracks. The TV worked, but the cable connection did not. The TV turned on and then mocked me with a bouncing 'no input' logo. Noisy neighbors - very easy to hear people in the hall. Sounded like the person in the room above mine took a hippo on a walk thru the room from 5am-6am they were so walking/stomping so loudly. Maybe it -was- a hippo? The place is pet friendly, but really - hippos? The absolutely worst part was the overpowering smell of the cleaning product(s) used in the room. It's been 10 hrs since I left and I still have a sore throat. Had to take a covid test to make sure that I was not sick. In hindsight I should have asked the front desk if this was normal. Overall I was initially impressed with the place, but the strong chemical smell/taste in the air brought this down from a 4.5 to 2.5/3. Is this cleaning product smell the new normal because of covid?

Was in its own little area right by a major super market which was amazing and really close to the vystar memorial arena.

The bedding had a blood stain on it and the front desk girl was unable to give us new bedding because she stated they didn’t have house keeping at night. They offered us a new duvet cover but no other bedding (the blood was on the flat sheet). Essentially, we were told to “just make it through the night” until housekeeping could be called in the morning. Expedia was also not helpful. 1.5 hours on the phone and got no where. I would not stay here again.
