Everything about the hotel, the location, the staff and the room is excellent

Expedia informed me the check-in time was 3:00 But Hilton stated check-in time was 4:00
- 5/5
We stayed at this hotel so that we were close to the graduation at UCI and our stay was incredible
- 2/5
The room had a very bad odor. It was very musty smelling. It even seeped into my clothes. There was also the smell of gas around the pool. I would not stay here again.

Other guests were noise outside all night partying. The handle in the shower was either all hot or all cold. When we checked in there was a notice that the following morning at 9 o’clock they would be doing maintenance on the fire alarm system. We were woke up to pounding and drills at 7am.
- 5/5
Staff did take good care of us
- 2/5
Water was extremely slow to drain when using the shower. This left my feet in about six inches of standing, dirty water that slowly drained from the tub. The carpet was dirty and worn. The customer service and the restaurant food was excellent. Those two things and the proximity to the Santa Ana airport are the only reasons to stay here. Just don't look at the floor or take a shower....

I’ve stayed at this Hilton several times it’s convenient from the airport and the staff and rooms are always exceptional

How friendly the front desk was, smelled wonderful in the lobby, close to airport with transport for free. Wish the fireplaces were on outside by pool.

A+ Hotel in a great location

Parking was too expensive, even for SoCal - and should be discounted for HHonors members
- 5/5
We were evacuated due to an emergency. The staff were nice and quick. There were alot of people evacuated. Didn’t have unlimited funds so we ended up just going back home. The stay was nice.

Parking fees onsite are overpriced , and I didn’t get my room checked in till 4:30. I arrived at 2:50p for a 3p check in, I was told the room, wasn’t ready, and I would get a call. I waited in the lobby for an hour, and a half. No call , I went to the desk, and the person seemed to have forgot about me.

In need of a renovation
- 3/5
The parking fee is a bit rough especially when your staying at the hotel. The cost of everything is so inflated and it makes no sense even when you're an honors member but don't get any benefits because you booked thru a third party for a business event?
- 4.5/5
Close to airport Free shuttle Best staff! So friendly Breakfast buffet was pricey

When I looked out my peephole, there were 4+ officers and it just startled me and scared me just a little. Again, since it happened in the hotel, in the late hours of the night, it did impact my overall experience. Not a great one.
- 4.5/5
Front desk staff were very courteous, allowed us to check in early, and gave a great dinner suggestion. Didn't like the automatic 20% tip on food.

Room was dusty

Clean room great staff great pool and feels welcoming
- 5/5
Nice staff and stuff but nothing is included

Everyone was great and helpful. Loved the amenities in the room. Very clean. William was the best shuttle transportation person! Food staff took time to get to know My Son 💙’s allergies and prepared it just right for him.

The room was small

The parking is ridiculously expensive. I paid more for parking than I did for my rental car. There are tons of hotels in the same area with complimentary parking.

Staff was excellent. Especiall the servers in the restaurant. Special shout out to Beatriz!
- 5/5
Pleasantly surprised. This older Hilton was a beautiful property. Room was nicely appointed. Pool and amenities were very nice. If we need a property at SNA again we will definitely choose this one!
- 5/5
Great hotel perfect for a little stay and nice pool area.
- 5/5
Nice hotel
- 5/5
Room was great easy access hotel accommodated me where early and late check-in the staff has been excellent The pool was clean, perfect temperature and I had a great workout in the gym.
- 5/5
I stay here quite often when I come to town for business. It’s a great place. Staff is awesome and rooms are amazing.
- 1/5
I arrived late - around 11:30 - after a long flight. The shuttle had stopped running from SNA, so they offered to send a Lyft. I arrived at the hotel, and was told that the hotel was "sold out" for the night. I had booked the hotel MONTHS in advance and it was very strict on cancellations. Didn't matter, there was no room for me. And the woman behind the desk was like dealing with a 13 year old teen girl, with no grace or understanding. She couldn't even explain what had happened, just kept repeating "sold out". So they sent me up to the Anaheim Hilton instead. I got up there, didn't want to come all the way back down, but they would not let me out of my reservation for the remaining days. I highly recommend you do not stay at this hotel if you want a guaranteed room when you arrive, or any customer service at all. And I'm a Hiltons Honors member!
- 5/5
Good place
- 5/5
Perfect stay for a nights rest to enjoy local activities
- 3/5
The bed was horrible. It must be very old because it sags terribly in the middle. Breakfast was good. Everything else was fine.
- 4/5
room was clean, service to and from airport is good breakfast is okay.
- 4/5
Needs a refrigerator in room
- 5/5
Clean room and staff was very pleasant.
- 4/5
We were at Hilton for a night's stay to watch UCSD play UC Irvine in basketball and a chance to visit our Anteater son. The hotel is a good value but admittedly, it needs a facelift. The carpet looks rather old and the hallways seem dark and dull. The downstairs looks great with brightly lit cafe area and front desk. The rooms were clean and the bed was comfortable. Good to have a safe and mini frig. Would prefer a Keurig coffee maker.
- 4/5
The room was clean and nice but the self parking is $45 overnight!
- 4/5
Room was clean. Staff very polite.
- 4/5
The staff at the front desk was a bit of a rough start but after that got squared away the stay was good. The staff at the bar and restaurant were excellent. Best part of the hotel. Rooms were clean and hotel was clean. Gym was limited but a good location.
- 5/5
Everything was good everybody’s nice and everything but one thing is the shower pressure sack other than that I will stay again
- 3/5
There was also a loud rumbling noise coming from the roof top (which was our lovely view out of the slider window). At check out, the clerk wanted to charge me parking, again, in which I stated that parking was already taken care of the prior evening when I checked in. She then seemed puzzled when I told her for the third time, “I am checking out… I’m going home”. -At parking, ($45.00 a night) there was no attendant to raise the crossing bar, so you have to go out the “one way”. As we were leaving we did see a parking attendant, but he was too busy on his phone. -For $230.00 a night, I think I’d try somewhere else. Pricey room. Pricey parking. Pricey breakfast.
- 1/5
Forced to check out early for an emergency and the hotel will not refund the final night stay. Extremely unprofessional and not accommodating
- 2/5
Dates room, food in the lobby was terrible.

- 4/5
I’ve machine not working.
- 3/5
Staff was nice. Hot tub out of service 3 days of 5. Starbucks counter closed inexplicably one day. Breakfast said it went until 11 but stopped at 10:45 two days. Good location.
- 1/5
No recomiendo , muy sucio el hotel,
- 5/5
Excellent check in. The bottled water really hit the spot.
- 1/5
2) The sliding door to balcony was jammed 3) Key for the parking lot was not working 4) Two out of 6 nights, they missed to clean our room 5) When we called and they sent the maintenance person. He looked at everything and even he said, he will not pay for this room
- 5/5
Clean room, very friendly staff
- 3/5
Good but I wish they will offer free parking
- 5/5
Great front desk service and room was clean.
- 3/5
Staff are nice .
- 2/5
I think during the five night I stayed not a single day did they offer me a good parking spot . And it cost $50 per day for parking
- 1/5
$92 on top of the $346 for parking??! I was never informed of parking chargers when booking or at the front desk
- 2/5
Check in too long time, stuffs are mean. Valet parking was $56 a day, self parking is $48 or something but it’s too over the price. It’s kinda ridiculous for parking fee. The room was okay,
- 4/5
Great
- 3/5
The room was great, however, taling a shower and reaching for a towel that felt like a brillo pad was not great. All of the towels in the bathroom, wash cloth, hand towel and bath towel felt the same...not nice.
- 5/5
The staff was amazing for a late check in, they made it easy and quick. The room was surprisingly quiet, clean and nicely laid out. Mainly the staff was amazing
- 5/5
The ac/heater unit. The noise is unbearable to sleep. Not enough bath towels. Everything else is good.
- 5/5
Everything was top notch
- 2/5
There was a terribly loud mechanical noise on the tenth floor. We had to move rooms. We heard other guest complaining too. The staff knows about the noise but still books rooms there. One elevator of three was malfunctioning. The snack service was closed.
- 2/5
First the advertise a balcony as an amenity but there is no accessible balcony. The bed spread had pink ink on it. Our keycard was not recognized at the parking. The Wi-Fi wouldn’t recognize our room. I called the front desk 3x and all it did was ring. I was frustrated checking out and in a hurry to get to an appointment and didn’t have time to speak to the front desk. The beads were comfortable though I don’t know if I’d stay here again. I’m an honors member as well and this was not a pleasurable experience
- 3/5
Good enough
- 3/5
Parking felt overpriced and, in my view, should have been complimentary for guests. The room configuration also presented challenges. The double-bed rooms are not practical for four people, as the beds are closer in size to singles. Surprisingly, the hotel was unable to book our family (two adults and a young child) into a king room, even though the king bed was perfectly comfortable for the three of us. As a result, we had to pay an additional $10 per night for an extra bed that we never used and that only took up unnecessary space in the room. Otherwise, our only option would have been the two-double-bed setup, which simply did not accommodate two people per bed
- 5/5
Was great and convenient location.
- 1/5
When we arrived at the Front Desk, we were told we didn't have a reservation. After I produced the Expedia Email Confirmation they confirmed the Reservation but told me I booked double beds, I booked a King Bed. I once again produced my Expedia Confirmation, we were given a King Bed. Ans at this point, informed that is was $46.00 per day to park our car.The room was cold so we turned on the heat, the fan was very loud but we tried to tolerate it. At 8:00 am , an extremely loud Leaf Blower was operating for about 45 minutes. The car situation was cumbersome as well, you pulled at ticked from an automatic machine at the entrance, upon exit you would scan the ticket, it never worked, in fact it attempted to collect $46.00 each time you left.Tuesday we had business to take care of and made sure the Do Not Disturb sign was out so the room world be serviced. When we returned at 6:00 PM, the room was not serviced and we only had one towel. We went down to the Cafe and ordered a Chicken Tostada Salad. The lettuce was off white and the Chicken was some type of imitation processed meat. Later in the room we turned the heat on, the fan was louder than the previous night, were were unable to sleep and checked out at 11:30 PM and had to make the 6 hour drive to Nevada in the middle of the night.
- 4/5
Room and space was clean and mostly accommodating
- 5/5
Front desk staff both coming and going were fantastic
- 5/5
Very nice hotel, was pleased with the room and beautiful view
- 4/5
The gentleman who helped us checked out was very warm, helpful and efficient! Check in took a bit longer.
- 1/5
It was bad experience for me to be in this hotel with my family, you would expect that the hotel seems new and 4 stars but when you get to the room hallway and rooms it’s really old and doesn’t look like the pictures that’s being shown
- 5/5
this property met all of our needs. The pool was nice. The Jacuzzi was heated. The grounds were well kept the food was excellent. The service was good. The rooms were nice and clean. I will definitely return back to the Hilton Irvine.
- 4/5
Everyone was nice, room could be cleaner! Noticeable lack of maintenance
- 5/5
Great
- 3/5
Having flown many times to Orange County, this is the first hotel I stayed at that charges for parking, and it's not an insignificant daily rate. So when comparing hotel prices, people should take the parking cost into account. I will book elsewhere in the future.
- 5/5
Very clean
- 1/5
Room booking not showing in the hotel booking. It took lot of time to reslove issue, one point of time hotel staff mention that my booking was done.
- 4/5
Good staff. AC not working.
- 5/5
Very nice
- 5/5
2nd time attending a conference in this hotel. This is one of my favorite hotels. Very kind and friendly staff, beautiful layout of the hotel. We love the aesthetics and it's easy to get around. I have mobility issues, so I appreciate everything i need being on one level. The rooms are big and I love the amenities such as the coffee maker.
- 4/5
It was cold, wet and raining so enjoying the outdoors was not an option. However, the staff was very kind and the property is just as nice as the pics show.
- 4/5
I Realy like it
- 5/5
Everything was just perfect! I was very comfortable, and the staff are very nice too!
- 5/5
Very comfortable bed and clean room.. the amenities here are great and feels like luxury
- 4/5
Room was clean. Staff was great!
- 5/5
Excellent.
- 4/5
Room was clean
- 3/5
Rooms were old looking.
- 5/5
Yes it was very quick
- 2/5
The rooms are very outdated. The carpets are dirty inside the room.At least ours was also the staff in the hotel have zero common sense about customer service.Specifically, the ones that work in the restaurant areas. If you sit there near the lounge area and it belongs to the restaurant they tell you.You can't sit there even though there's no customers in their restaurant
- 5/5
This location is really close to the airport, has a bar/restaurant on-site, and is very comfortable and clean.
- 5/5
Clean & convenient - close to the airport with shuttle every half hour. Lovely conference rooms.
- 1/5
Front desk staff treating people based on looks and race
- 5/5
Had a great trip
- 5/5
My stay was great
- 4/5
Front desk staff very helpful
- 5/5
I enjoyed how they allowed me to check in early as well as be transparent about all services and have shuttles from airport
- 3/5
The property feels a bit old, and during my stay the water in my room is burning. Also there is no bottle water in the room, I have to buy it in vending machine
- 1/5
It’s 2/3 star hotel . Old outdated , smells moldy .
- 3/5
Just standard room, nothing big. $46 per day parking which was nowhere in my details and also breakfast Buffett is $30 per person! My reservation said breakfast included and it is one stretch of food- Nono e told us only the first part was continental and the eggs and pancakes was $30! Would have been nice if they were UP Front with fees. We were stuck band had to pay - was not happy about it. Upon check in their computers were acting up so several holds went on my card which tied up my money until the next day! At no point was I offered anything to rectify the situation. Will not be back there as a rewards member.
- 5/5
Room sliding glass door opens usually about 4 inches ours wouldn't close all the way about a quarter of a inch gap, with airport across street gets a little noisy. My wife and I sleep well so it didn't bother us, made for a good wake up call in morning.
- 5/5
This hotel was clean and very comfortable. The staff was very friendly and helpful. We enjoyed our stay.
- 5/5
Very close to the airport ! Bar and food at the lobby.
- 5/5
Always love staying here. Easy to get to flights early.
- 4/5
The grounds - while not dirty - it needs a freshen up. Outside furniture- needs a freshening . Seemed a bit rundown. Lobby - good - For a 4 star hotel - should be crisp - inviting
- 5/5
The hotel is great but the parking fee is pretty expensive
- 4/5
Good service but expensive.
- 5/5
Nice rooms. AC pretty quiet. The carpet in the hall should be replaced. It’s dirty.
- 5/5
Clean nice place. Pool area is a little older looking, but not bad. Most of the staff were nice and helpful. I would definitely go back.
- 3/5
As a solo female traveler I try to stay at decent hotels, however this morning, there were goings on in the lobby that made me feel unsafe while I was having my morning coffee. At first I thought it was hotel staff but it appears they were a company or host of some event not guests acting very sketchy including an old guy loitering who said misogynistic things to me and other having political arguments. -they were all affiliated with each other. I asked the front desk for help as I was concerned they were hotel employees and did not want to get in the airport shuttle with any of them. The host at the desk was very concerned and helpful and was able to reassure me they were not hotel employees. They kept dodging in and out of the hotel and escorted people into black cars. Luckily I was able to get out of there. Just be wary as people seemed to be able to go in and out and loiter around the hotel who are not guests. The elevators do not require key cards and I did not see any security guards.
- 5/5
Friendly front desk- comfortable beds, clean
- 1/5
Unfortunately We couldn’t sleep too much noise from air conditioning
- 1/5
We couldn’t sleep too much noise of air conditioning!
- 1/5
It was horrible experience we couldn’t sleep at all because too much noise of the air conditioner on and off and sound of it was very annoying also on Expedia didn’t mention anything about paying for car parking which it was $46 per room each room rate came to $200 we are very upset !
- 4/5
It was a nice hotel for a quick stay. The property was nice and staff was very accommodating. The AC could’ve been a little better, but other than that, no complaints!
- 3/5
Manager was rude at checkout.
- 5/5
Great service
- 5/5
The staff was so nice the room was extremely clean and the housekeepers were so amazing to us
- 5/5

- 5/5
Good
- 5/5
Good place to stay
- 5/5
What lovely staff! Kindness was shown in all aspects of check in and acommendations. The bartender Jerry had a great personality. We had an exceptional evening of grazing the menu and enjoying local craft beers.
- 3/5
To charge forty six dollars a day for parking is absolutely atrocious. We literally parked in the short term parking at john wayne airport and literally saved sixteen dollars a day in parking by simply just walking across the street. Obviously people like me that are from the area know better, but those that are visiting from a different state or city within California wouldn't know to do what I did. So hopefully those that are reading this review, know that you can park over at john wayne airport, it's less than two tenths of a mile away from the front entrance at the hilton, and you will save yourself sixteen dollars a day in parking.
- 4/5
The Hilton is a good hotel. It's showing a bit of it's age. I am surprised the beds are only doubles, but it was clearly stated in the room description. We could hear people walking in their room above us, but the noise was manageable. Parking is quite expensive, but again, clearly stated in the description. We would stay here again, if we don't have a car.
- 5/5
Great stay
- 5/5
Perfect for my needs.
- 5/5
Parking
- 4/5
Needed a place to sleep for my senior mom and me for a very early morning flight and this hotel was across the street for the airport and had shuttle service that started at 5 am. Perfect for what we needed. Front desk agent and shuttle driver were helpful, friendly and professional.
- 5/5
Great service
- 4/5
Met family here for a family event, staff were super nice and helpful. Facility clean but a little dated. Fair enough to come again
- 1/5
I didn’t like this hotel at all over prices.Call front desk no one answers phone. Want us to oh for parking but when we go to the gate it doesn’t work had to keep calling for help on service and no help. Overall the worst hotel I stayed at. And Breeakfast is $30 for one plate how ridiculous
- 5/5
Cool clean pool 👍
- 5/5
I liked everything except the cost of parking
- 4/5
Close to Orange airport and have airport schetle
- 3/5
Internet was bad the TV lost signals all the time

- 5/5
Amazing
- 5/5
After our flights got canceled we ended up staying here. They were nice, accommodating and the outdoor area was beautiful and quiet
- 5/5
Thank you
- 2/5
When we arrived at 230 am we had to wait over an hour to check in because the computer system was updating . Had to pay 50 dollars a day to park, the lots were full , had to wait for someone to leave to park. Lobby was nice , but floors had different patterns of carpet , cottage cheese ceiling , shower had weak flow. Had unknown charges to account .
- 5/5
Staff member Ha was amazing and made checking in easy and even out my little guy at ease!
- 4/5
Good hotel for quick access to John Wayne Airport.
- 5/5
Great stay
- 1/5
On arrival there was an issue with my confirmation number. It was resolved in a timely manner with one of the employees. My stay was from July 4 through July 6. I received a phone call from the hotel in regards to my stay saying that my reservation was only through July 5, which was incorrect because I had the confirmation number which gave the dates and I was in a softball tournament with my daughter and cannot leave the game to go resolve the issue. The employee was very rude and disrespectful and demanded that I I come to result the issue immediately that I was going to be charged extra fees due to the fact that I overstayed, which I knew indeed I did not. I try to negotiate that I can email them my confirmation and a picture of my dates that I had reserved the hotel room for and she said that would not do that she that I had to come in. I told her that I would try to get there as soon as I could unfortunately I was not able to get there until after my daughter games were over. When I got back to the front desk, I was informed by the Night Shift employee that my room keys were no longer work and that I had to resolve the issue and they would have to call Expedia to find out what happened to my reservation, it was resolved, but unfortunately, the employee That I receive a phone call was very unwilling to work in her attitude, and her tone was just unprofessional and ever since.
- 5/5
My stay was pleasant and free shuttle to airport!!
- 4/5
All of the staff were so helpful! The room was very clean and the exercise room was just what I needed. The pool area in the morning looked like a big party from the night before and the parking lot was definitely over charged. I ordered breakfast that was also overpriced imo for eggs and toast. All in all I enjoyed my stay. I also think the shuttle driver saved me from a really awful night by taking me to pick up my late arriving luggage.
- 5/5
Good option for expo west
- 5/5
Close to Orange County airport. Literally walk across the street. Clean, very comfortable room. Excellent bed. Nice restaurant with good food. Friendly staff.
- 5/5
Clean, attractive, and easy to stay!
- 5/5
Excellent customer service. Took good care of us. Eager to make us happy.
- 5/5
The check in was easy. Needed some more coffee. I told the lady at the front when we got back from viewing some of the beaches. That could I have some more coffee and she said yes. I was welling to take right there and then but she told me that someone would bring it up, I said ok and went up to my room, 301. We waited 45 minutes and the coffee had NOT shown up so I called to see where the coffee was at. She told me it would be up in a few minutes and the coffee show up with in 4 minutes.
- 5/5
Great place !! Good size bathroom, spacious rooms, great pillows, everything was nice experience.
- 5/5
Great hotel and amenities. Love how they are back to cleaning the room daily. Also centrally located to the beach and restaurants. My only complaint is double beds, I wish they were queens.
- 3/5
The rooms need to be a lot cleaner than what it was
- 3/5
I wasn’t informed the cost of breakfast until the end when the bill arrived. Unpleasant surprise!! Also, make sure to look at your bowls and plates; several of their bowls were filthy and not properly washed!!
- 5/5

This hotel is great in so many ways - clean, staff is friendly, a Starbucks right in the lobby and a bar and restaurant. The only negative I would give it is the surprise bill of $44 per night to park at the property. Hotels.com "no hidden fees upfront pricing" isn't really true for this property. When I questioned that at checkin the clerk said the hotel doesn't run the parking a third party vendor does. Beware when you use this site - you may be paying quite a bit more to park somewhere.

Right across from the airport. The staff was very nice. Thx on service was prompt. The outdoor and pool area were also nice. The room we stayed in was fine. It felt like more attention could have been made to cleaning details, like the bathroom. Walls and near the light switches were dirty. Parking price is steep.

Just an absolute disaster - and I have been a member for YEARS and have been to Hilton's all over the world. POOR checkin - struggled to find a room. The Cosmetic Mirror in the Room didn't work (they DID ultimately replace it). The furniture in the room was banged up - looked like a Motel 6. Leaving the parking lot with the key/ticked system was a DISASTER - for us and our friends - NEVER Worked - ALWAYS had to call for help. JUST A DISASTER EXPERIENCE. I will NEVER stay at this Hotel again - they Hyatt is just down the road - NO COMPARISON. Just a disaster - NOT friendly; NOT comforting; VERY Motel 6.

We were greeted with such warmth by the team at this hotel as we fled the LA fires with our dogs. Thanks so much to the whole team!

Great hotel for spending a night prior the departure especially if you are taking a morning flight. Shuttle service is reliable and convenient. Air heater/conditioner is old and loud

Hilton lights on building were burnt out and it looked vacant. After driving in it was clear it was open. Once in our room our tv wouldn’t turn on. Someone came up within 10 min and fixed it so it was fine. Acceptable place to sleep prior to our flight in the am. I would never think it were a 4 star hotel though.

Can check in early.

Fire pits all around pool area to sit with friends and family enjoying the evening

Compared to the Hilton on the other side of the airport, this property is very outdated, the rooms are tiny and price of parking is outrageous at $42/night. The other Hilton is only $18/night.

They charge for parking there was random cars parked there that looked homeless
