Indy Speedway Inn

The hotel did what we needed it to do. We came down for the Indy 500. Got there late to check in around 10pm, went straight to sleep. Woke up and was gone all day, came back to shower and sleep. Don’t come here if you’re looking for Hilton inn expectations. Johnny at the front desk wasn’t as bad as other reviews claimed. If you’re nice to him, he’s nice to you. Just make sure to double lock your doors and mind your business and you’ll be fine. Towels looked as if there was makeup or some other black stain on it.

I stayed there because it was close to the Indianapolis Speedway and the price was reasonable. It was the filthiest place I’ve ever stayed at in my life. The room reeked of stale cigarette smoke, even though there was a no smoking sign on the door. There was hair on the bathroom floor, so the floor obviously hadn’t been cleaned. I wasn’t expecting it to be a four star hotel, but it was far worse than I expected. I paid for two nights but I checked out after one night just so I didn’t have to spend another night there.

This place was disgustingly. Unsavory people gaming in the lobby. The management was "compromised and unstable". The lock on our room would not lock; completely broken. We ended up not staying there due to being concerned for our safety.

⸻ I wouldn’t stay here again. While there were thankfully no visible bugs in my room, the overall cleanliness was very poor. The sheets and pillowcases seemed clean, but the pillows, mattress, and comforters themselves were stained and unpleasant. The room also had a strong chemical smell that felt like it was trying to mask smoke. The bathroom, walls, and even the outlets were dirty and clearly not well maintained. To make matters worse, I overheard another guest at check-in loudly complaining about bugs, which didn’t inspire confidence. Overall, the experience felt unhygienic and uncomfortable. I’d recommend looking elsewhere.

DO NOT STAY HERE. I am from St. Louis & my roomate & I took our daughters to the Morgan Wallen concert. At the last min, the hotel I had booked fell through & they were fully booked-as were many others. I was left w/ slim pickins, however, remember saying to myself, it'll be fine. How bad could a room possibly be overweight? Is it sleeping there and coming home the next day boy did I eat my words? I have multiple pictures taken. The man on-site will no longer speak with me, my daughter is 15 and even sorry.

Food was left in the room from someone else n in the fridge. & the bedding wasn’t clean. Roaches was seen in the bath room

The room didn’t match the photos or description. It was poorly maintained and unclean. I contacted the hotel and Expedia, but they didn’t do anything. Not recommended. I left the property and I did not receive a refund

The dog tore my sweater and nipped my arm when checking in, the owner didn’t seem to care, and was oddly indifferent to his appearance and the random leaks in the check in office

Not very far from the speedway Even we full pay in advance the owner scam us and over charge for the stay. All the hotels in the city were packed for the Indy 500 race, so we needed to pay what he asked. We witnessed how the owner rejected some people coming from Expedia, who did not want to extra pay. The owner simply told them there were no rooms available, even they claim that they had paid in advanced, several weeks ago. No facilities, no kitchen, no breakfast available. Ice machines broken. The coffee machine was very dirty. The little shampoo bottle was half empty, probably form the last guest. The whole experience was a disaster.

Bathroom floor was not very clean.

Rooms very ran down and we're not clean we went to store and bought cleaning supplies and Lysoled and bleached everything only one guy working said he didn't clean rooms but once a week. Because of Indy 500 all the hotels were expensive and booked up we were stuck there.
