Holiday Inn Express and Suites Indianapolis W- Airport Area by IHG

Pro: Front desk was exceptionally good. Everyone, yes, every single staff @ the front desk were so pleasant & pro. & made sure your feel welcome. Overall very nice & clean. Looks like they just had a renovation lately. There was a Dawson on Main restaurant where there are quite many good restaurants & bars about less than 10min drive. There was no good restaurants right next to the hotel. Cons: Breakfast was the worst among all the HolidayInnExpress I've visited in the past 6 months. Since all the HolidayInnExpress I visited had switched to new Coffee grinding & making machine over 6months ago if not earlier except this one. Coffee was always luke warm or even cold. Breakfast had only 2 hot food choices & 1 tray was always empty! Wonder if kitchen staffs were slacking. That was a first. Fruits were not fresh...very disappointed. Depends on which ways you travel from but the immediate area around the hotel was quite run down, worst than the last time when I was in the area. But the Main St. area I mentioned was very nice though.

We picked the hotel for the pool which unfortunately is under construction. We would have chosen a different hotel because of this but that isn’t the hotels fault that isn’t listed on orbitz. It should be noted though if it is your defining factor for a hotel. The room was clean. Bathrooms were clean. Breakfast was good. Lots of options and even our kids didn’t complain. The location is great. Lots of shopping and restaurants within a few miles. Would recommend the hotel and would stay here again once the pool opens.

The pool and hot tub were closed with no notice and it’s the only reason we booked this property.

Pool was shut down by the city and unable to cancel before finding out that information.

Easy to get to.

The room was clean and comfortable, but that is the only nice thing I can say about the hotel. The pool was closed, the elevator was not working, I'm 65 years old and had walk up to the 3rd floor. The ovens went down so no hot breakfast. The staff was very overwhelmed and rude. With all the issues they didn't offer and kind of compensation or solutions for our inconvenience. Needless to say, we were extremely disappointed. I do not recommend this hotel especially if traveling with children and they want to swim.

The elevators were down, pool was run down and unusable. Breakfast was cold and you had to ask multiple times for the buffet to be refilled

The hotel needs maintenance: the elevator did not work, nor did the swimming pool. The fitness center was stuffy and dirty, without towels or water cups. The room windows provided very little noise insulation from the highway across the hotel. The shower spread water all over the place. The list can go on and on. Great and convenient location, but the hotel itself was in very poor shape. Will not stay again

Everything was broken, even the communication. We paid for a hotel with pool, elevator, cable and hot breakfast, all of them we closed, broken and not working properly. The staff did not tell us at check in the pool we wanted to use or the elevator to our 3rd floor did not work. Cable and wifi were spotty. Breakfast ovens broke down, did they tell us or provide an alternative, nope. This is 2 IHG hotels we stayed at that were run down and poorly managed. We will ovoid this brand in the future. We were also put on the end of the hotel right by the interstate. It was very noisy.

Superb

Nice beds, clean room, great breakfast, staff very friendly Elevator was out of service all weekend. My father has hip issues and we were on the fourth floor. Cable service was horrible. Internet was very slow.

The room was clean, but missing a chair, elevator and pool were both out of order, so had to climb stairs with a bad knee. Staff was friendly but did not offer any discount for the inconvenience. Breakfast buffet was very good.
