Room had everything we needed and was cheap and convenient for a quick weekend getaway.

Sun Burst recently underwent a renovation. But it is still not done like it was suppose to be. The garage under the penthouse is still full of new and old renovation items, we were suppose to be able to park in there. Another of our rooms #3, has disposable paper curtains on the window (the kind you would get from Home Depot when painting your walls). The penthouse: it has a lot of nice amenities. The first floor (after a flight of stairs) has a washer and dryer, and a nice bathroom. Then a very small bedroom? with a full size bed that is from wall to wall so its hard to get into. Only a desk, no closet, no TV, no mirror, not even a door. Down the short hall is a bigger bedroom with a king size bed, nice dressers, no closet, no mirror, no TV and NO door. So NO privacy from anyone else staying with you. After going up "another" 13 steps to the kitchen/ living room area, its very nice with a full size kitchen with full size appliances, a TV, nice bathroom and a deck with a priceless view of the gulf. (and has a sofa bed) Too many stairs for us, especially when you have to carry all of your luggage and kitchen items up two flights of stairs. The office workers were very nice. Parking not good, only 10 spots for 12 units.

I had a great time here! The views and back patio area were very inviting and we had dinner at the picnic table overlooking the Surf and Sunset. I would recommend this place to anyone. This is my 3rd time staying here.

Beach front was amazing! Free parking but very tight quarters especially when backing out.

First day we were suppose to check in . It was around 5:30 before they checked us in. They had been doing renovation for like a year. Our room was the only room that was suppose to be done . First no hooks to hang towels , walls were wet because they had just painted. The room was set up like backwards. There was just a few inches between the bed and the kitchen sink to walk through to the bathroom. Second day there I’m making the bed on that side against the wall and something caught my leg. Maybe a bird or some thing and rip my leg open. Cut it pretty bad three days later I ended up having to go to urgent care because it was so infected. Third day I noticed everything underneath the sink was all wet had to get everything of mine out lay it out to dry obvious sink was leaking. I told them a few . One of the staff did check it and the whole plumbing was totally loose. Someone did come in and tighten it up while we were gone.A Long story short , sink was still leaking shower backed up water clear over our feet. We would have to wait 45 minutes between showers for it to go down so each of us could get a shower. We told them it was like two or three days later that they came back in and a plumber came in and fixed it so that was better. Then our toilet started leaking from the bottom was never fixed. The room was damp. The whole time we stayed there or clothes were damp. It was just miserable. I did ask for another room and the Manager told me she couldn’t do that.

Rooms were efficient and welcoming. Location is exceptional for beach lovers.

Hotel has a great view of the gulf! Nice outside area to hangout or visit with friends and family!

It was absolutely lovely to have a place that opened directly to our own portion of the beach. This place was relaxing and the people were wonderful.

I loved this place. It is nothing fancy, but it has everything you could possibly need, including a well-equipped kitchenette even in the small unit I was in. It is family owned, so no corporate lack of authenticity. The Sun Burst Inn has character. And for a place directly on the beach, it is a great value!

We have been going here for the past 6 years . We love the staff , the uniqueness of the place with some renovations but still an old Mom and Pop vibe . The beach is right there of course as well which makes it perfect !

Staff is rarely there but the beach and gulf being right outside your door is amazing. The rooms are small and dated but clean and serve the purpose.

The beach is nice, the place itself a dump.Be careful when booking a room with “street view”!! The view is the least problem, it’s such a busy street that you will not get any sleep at all. Windows are thin as paper and disgustingly dirty When traffic slows down a bit at night live music from the bar across will keep you awake. Service is non existent, but they bombard you with text messages if you start questioning their dishonest room listing, had to block them.

We loved this little Inn. Just steps away from the private beach. Pet friendly for my daughters dog. I am in love with this place!!!

The place was filthy. It does not look like the picture. Our view was out a small dirty window. Looking at sand piled, tables and chairs covered with rat poop. Air conditioning is wall units that are so old and loud, you either didn’t sleep or died of the heat.

Absolutely love the deck area that gives a prefect view of the Gulf!

The two ladies that manage the property are so nice and welcoming, they will help with anything you ask and give great advice about anything you ask them! Will be staying there again!

Me and my fiancé and kids had a wonderful time. We even stayed an extra night. The room was perfect, clean, felt like home. We had perfect view of ocean priceless. We stayed 6 days. The staff was great especially Tammy she made it feel like home very friendly and helpful. I recommend the Sun Burst Inn great vacation spot right on the ocean. We can’t wait to go back next year.

Great plce

This is a great little mom & pop inn with a great location! I think we had the smallest room in the place, but it was super clean and comfortable and directly on the beach. The staff was super awesome and helpful!

Location was awesome! They let us check in early. Unfortunately when you call to ask questions or request something no one ever answers and they dont get back to you. They have washer and dryer but out of order. The grill they have is on its last legs. This place could be a diamond in the rough with a little work and attention to their customers. It looks like they come and clean and you never see them again. No one is onsite other than when they clean.

Absolutely loved staying here. Family had another room and It was like we had our own home on the beach. Definitely want to go again, and longer.

I would recommend this place to anyone very friendly staff very cool Relaxing atmosphere our furry kids had a great time as well I think the staff for being so Nice to us and our service Dogs.

We went for a long weekend to celebrate my birthday...and time away to chill at the beach. It was a much needed trip away. The place isn’t new by any means but it was clean bed was comfy had a/c and a small kitchenette. Was a cozy lil beach shack. Can’t wait to go back.

Very small for a couple, the bed was a full size not a queen,pillow with blood stain, blinds dirty, TV very little we were not able to turn on/off control did not work and the manager did not responded to our complains. Totally misrepresented on the internet. Total price with the little dog and taxes was $150.00 for a very small efficiency with a very uncomfortable couch. Kitchenette had hot plate and a microwave. Outside common area table filthy with second story porch above with gaps between the woods and sand coming down from people above.

This place is awesome! It's right on the beach and near to several restaurants and other activities. They have plenty of beach chairs and toys to use. It's a little old school and definitely not modern but all renovated but that's part of it's charm. Did I say it's right on the beach?

Beautiful sunset. For $200 the tv and coffee pot didn’t work. No coffee provided. Rust on the frig. Really outdated.

I got this stay for my parents, it was their first time to Florida and I wanted them on the beach. They loved it, Mom called it her little house on the beach.

They had beach towels and umbrellas for use. Towels and wash clothes in the room . You need to bring your own soap and shampoo . As a solo female traveler it's important to me, to feel safe and I felt the location was safe . As a minority travel its important to me , to feel welcomed and I was .

This is an older property that snooty folks would thumb their noses at but this old Redneck liked it just fine. A/C was Cold, shower water was Hot and toilet flushed so I was content. Location to Beach and Mahuffers made it just right.

wish the weather would have cooperated more - other than that we enjoyed our 3 day stay - staff was awesome - anything we asked for the accommodated right there on the spot - will defiantly be back next year - Laura & Michelle

Nice quiet location. Rooms are fine nothing special but for the price it's great. Sunsets are amazing!

I love being able to get right in the sand, and my dog loves it too! I was sad though, I"d been there a few years back when the outdoor furnishingslookedlike the photo's on-line. However they've changed all of it now. No high top tables, nice ones that seat 6 people but you don't see the beach, only the railing at face height. Only four yellow/blue lounge chairs left ohnthe beach and no unbrellas. My suggestion, either replace what you have now to reinstate the photo or take new pictures for TRUTH in ADVERTISING.

We had prepaid our one night stay. I noticed in the Expedia reservation that check in needed to be by 4:00pm--a little odd, and not mentioned anywhere in the info we received from the hotel. We pulled in at slightly before 3:00pm to find the office locked and a note taped to the door with my name on it, to the effect that the room was open and the key in the room. We found our room. It was clean, the bed was reasonably comfortable, lots of hot water, fluffy towels. But the bed was pushed into the corner. To get up during the night, I had to essentially climb out the end so as not to wake my husband. And the slatted blinds let in a fair amount of light. Since we were traveling the next day, we wanted to get a reasonably early start, but not crack-of-dawn. We went to leave at 8:00am, and no one in the office again. We resorted to repeating the check-in, leaving the key in the room and a note on the door. The other negative is the parking. There is one space per unit, but the property is small and right on the busy thoroughfare. It was pretty much impossible to do anything but back out onto that street and pray there wasn't any traffic coming.

We loved the location, quiet and not much around. We were within driving distance to restaurants in either direction, but not the noise or traffic. It's a very mom and pop place and they had everything for the beach, chairs, mats and umbrellas! For a get-a-way weekend we will be back!

Great “old Florida” style accommodations! The location is great and the staff is very friendly.

Nice hotel. Extremely close to the beach. If you want to stay on the beach, this is where it's at. Very few people in this section of beach. Great for our family.

It's a pet friendly place but can't have pets on beach. If known before check in would not of stayed there. Otherwise had a great time.

You can’t get a better deal than this . There’s something magical on there beach . And the office staff out of this world .

Truly enjoyed our stay at this hotel. Comfy and homey. Could use some maintenance but the rooms were clean, the view and beach spectacular.

very friendly and accomadating, stayed in a queen studio ,next time comsidering a larger unit with a full kitchen . what we had was very nice for one or 2 nights. overall they did a very nice job for an older beach house. would consider staying next year there.

Staff were super nice and accommodating but the hotel can really use a facelift. Rooms are extremely small. The best part of it is that it’s right on the beach. That would be the only reason for returning.

Booked on the road prior to arrival. Called to cancel immediately afterwards due to location. Staff person assured me it was by my designation and it was a nice place on the beach and most rooms had been updated. Staff person said no one would be here upon arrival so key would be on table in room. Room was unlocked. Asked if that was ok and said they’ve been doing this for years. Once in room it was very outdated and old! Flooring felt and looked like plastic strips. Room had old kitchenette, old nasty couch, mismatched furniture, locked closets, and locked stairway for employees. Would never stay here. I expect much more for the amount of money paid. We would have walked out but it was non refundable and no one here to demand our money back. Do not recommend.

This hotel is old and run down, and very small. The room was comfortable, but just old and run down, yet clean. We only stayed one night, but served our purpose of a comfortable night's rest on the beach.

Our stay at Sunburst Inn exceeded our expectations. We had a Gulf-front room on 2nd floor (21) and it was perfect for us. Clean, good floor plan, everything we needed for a week’s stay—full-size fridge, stove, microwave, toaster, coffeemaker, dishes, pans, utensils, silverware. Lounge chairs and other beach stuff for use by guests. Beautiful little stretch of beach and then the Gulf right there!

This hotel is clean, the staff very helpful, but the location was literally the most amazing beach location we ever could have hoped to have. The other guests were almost all return-users of the property who loved it for the same reasons we did. Our kids loved the view, the sand, the available beach toys to share (we added some to the collection as well), and we will definitely be back.
